"Also Nora. I know you might think of me as a low life despicable creature with no morals, but just know this. I was the one to carry Leila and to hand her over to the Omegas. I watched their repulsive eyes when feasting at the sight of my baby sister wailing and squirming in my three year old self's arm. I was to also to inform them of who she was, the mighty Beta's daughter so then they could rip her limb by limb but I resisted. I didnt utter a word about who she was or why she was given.

"I handed her to the eldest lady in the group and told them if she was to be killed, Id hunt them all down myself personally and shoot up silver ash dust into into their heads by the nose. Never again from that day did I interfere with her life, well, at least not until the day Damon appointed her as his personal Omega. I knew he'd never lay his hands on her for she was an Omega but it didnt prevent me from being anxious for her when around the Pack."

...

"NORA!" Kaden greeted with wide outstretched arms, taking long swift strides ready to enfold me just as I stepped through the threshold into the white porcelain tiles. He held the embrace for some time before letting go. The memory of earlier meeting was certainly forgotten or least pushed aside.

"Nora." Hunter acknowledged, coming around from the twirling golden brass staircase. From the underlining of his dress shirt to the clinging button down vest and tie, he was dressed entirely in black. Suits from what I knew weren't a thing for Hunter, for a Delta used to sweats, shorts, and roaming freely shirtless.

His brother, Kaden for once was in a bleached shade of grey and a slightly loose fitting white undershirt, which appeared very unlike Kaden to me. It was as if they were meant to be opposites of one another.

The warm yellow glow of the chandelier darkened the boyish expressions of Hunter. Jogging down, he came to besides his brother and inclined his head a second again.

As he did, I gestured the recognition with a bob of my head. His lips were pursed tightly, creases crowned his temple and he looked in no shape to speak. Tiredness strained those dark coffee eyes of his.

"So Kaden. What is this all for again?" I say, trying to get lighten the quietness amongst us.

To my shock it was Hunter to give a wheeze. "Its his big, old 20th today. Damn bastard's been on this earth's surface for 20 years now."

I rose an astounded eye while Kaden gave a humorless howl of laughter, appreciate of his brother's wicked boldness. "I wouldn't blame you for being envious little brother. I am older to you and under this roof, I am the one to draw the cards. You might as well be thanking me from keeping the responsibility from falling on you."

The razor sharpness edge in Kaden's tone was clearly distinguishable, as well as the tense forming in between them. Something was up and it certainly wasnt good.

Hunter seemed to have an unwarranted anger resting in the dept of his eyes, to which Kaden couldn't be anymore indifferent than he already was. To some extinct, he appeared rather unfazed from the idea of two brothers drifting apart.

"Now Nora, I don't recall complimenting you on your stunning arrival," Kaden turned to me, dismissing Hunter's glaring stares.

"I rather dive into the Arctic Ocean and take my chances swimming to Canada than you compliment my womanhood," I remark unhesitatingly.

Another howl. "Nora, Nora, Nora," Kaden smirked amusingly, hands tucked into the folds of his pockets. "I would love to stay and learn the details of what gave you such a thought but I have an event to host. Hunter can show you around in meantime," his eyes perked in my direction.

Wretched prick, I swore at his deviousness.

"Get some drinks from the bar, sit by the poolside and catch up you know. And oh Hunter, do remember to restrain our guest here if you must til after the announcement. Wouldn't want you to miss any part of it.

"You cant regret everything when your drunk." He winked at me. Patting us both his goodbye, he disappeared down some other hall towards where the loud chatter and hammering electronic beats could be heard through the walls. It was just us two left.

"You look ravishing," Hunter drew my attention, gesturing with his head down while his hands remained in their pockets.

"Oh," I brush back astray curl, feeling the colour rise to my cheeks. The dress was a deep crimson shade of burgundy, off shoulder -just from where my collarbone began, petite dress with a flattering short high low skirt. It was a gifted by Christina on my last birthday. I remember that day like it was yesterday. When pulling it from in the wrapping I couldn't resist the urge to squeal, telling everyone I was saving it for the right moment.

"Thank you. You don't look so bad either, although, you may look somewhat constipated."

He shook his head, chuckling to myself. "It is definitively not at all comfortable. Id do anything to get out, even it meant wearing a dress. You girls have it easy."

I return the laugh. "Girls have it easy! Are you kidding me. Do you even what we girls have to get pass every month just for having the ability to have kids, or how expensive bras can be! All they do is torture our chest by holding it in place. And don't even get me started on the expectation of knowing how to cook and manage a household while being sexy enough to satisfy the needs of society! Also, I dont see your legs scarred with razor burns, do I now?"

"Okay! Okay! Point taken your honor! I rest my case," Hunter rose his hands in defeat. "We men are the worse of the two sexes, having women do all our dirty work."

He gave a flirty wink. I smack him playfully on the arm. "That's just wrong in every way. Now, are you going to keep your Luna standing in the foyer or do you have an intention to welcome me in?"

"Now is just abusing your title of being Luna," he grunted, turning and walking down the hall the way Kaden disappeared.

The architect of the place was breathtaking. Everything dazzled from cleanliness. It was as if I had been teleported into ancient Rome rather than a house. Everything was either black, white or both. Like the stairway, the ground was paved of polished porcelain with tiles of black and brass lining the hallway from the entrance in patterns. The walls were carved and sharpened to create a hollow dome overhead, elaborated architect making its way up as only to be found inside a church. Archways attached the walls to the ceiling all the way down every hall. I've never been to Rome, Italy or anywhere near Europe, but I could see the ancestry of the place.

I try not to make my bewilderment unnoticed. "Hey! It is called making use of what you're given. Like when distracting men with a peek of your cleavage or a glimpse of a risen up skirt, exposing some legs to get work done, oh wait. You got none, you wouldn't know I suppose, or am I wrong?"

He grumbled some more under breathe.

I shake my head. "You're already a worse host than Kaden."

He leads me down a narrow hallway to the end where it met into a spacious opening. Drapery of creme swayed over each marble archway which should have a glass panel separating the back deck and nightfall. Golden rays basked as we crept to the center under the crystal chandelier, going to the far corner that held the shelves of alcohol and most of the guest.

I couldn't recognize a soul here. Women wore short evening gown, mostly with somewhat of a puff in the skirt and pencil tipped heels. Men were in everyday business wear, but just more relaxed form. They both parted as we made our way pass, bobbing their head in my direction and not even eyeing Hunter more than once.

"My Luna," Hunter handed me a glass of fluke of champagne. I scrunched my nose from the sparking taste, putting it down instantly on the granite counter top.

"Wine, red not white," I hopped on to the bar stool, placing my clutch down.

"Red not white, my Luna, just as you wanted," Hunter extended the glass of liquid scarlet, bottle in hand.

"Might want to keep that bottle handy. I already feel the refill." I drain the glass in one gulp, feeling its bittersweet taste burn my throat. Holding it out, he poured a generous amount.

"What was Kaden saying about some announcement?" I ask as Hunter pulled back the bottle, still uncapped.

"Honestly I have no clue whats up in that thick skull of his anymore. You cant really tell when you have an older brother," he laughs wearily, drawing around the next bar stool.

"Say no more here. I got three of them, all older. It is like a living nightmare," I shake my head, bring the glass up to my lips. Guzzling it down without a breathe, I gently smash the glass to my head sighing heavily before putting it before him again.

"Like Kaden says, after about 6 bottles of tequila and factory worth of whiskey, you can never be too drunk," Hunter grins wearily, pouring another round into my glass.

"Amen," I take another sip, a much slower in pace than any other I've taken so far before motioning the glass in his direction. "You?"

"Oh I don't drink."

I couldn't hold back my astonishment from coming in my voice. "You can't be serious."

He hangs his head in defeat, leaning with his elbow propped against the counter top. "That's what everyone says when I tell them. If my brother's a worshipping, selfish, alcoholic bastard, that doesn't instantly make me one too because we share the same blood." My cheeks reddened.

"I prefer to keep it to myself but it felt necessary to tell you so you don't create the wrong image of me in your head."

I could see why Leila had felt so close to him. Who wouldn't? He was so easy to get along with. So simple, caring, kind and quirky while yet being a major fanboy with muscles. Yeah I know, shocker! Hunter reads.

He told me how when he was younger he was always referred as the 'quite one' and growing up he developed an attachment, a bond to reading in his leisure time when he wasn't training. How he liked the alone time, lost in somewhere else than reality. To be honest I would too if I were born in this dreaded nightmare of a Pack.

"Scusami tutti, scusami tutti! Ah, grazie." Kaden walks to under the chandelier at the center of the floor, bringing the attention of everyone's eyes onto his. From what I understood of Leila's basic lessons, he had said excuse me, excuse me and then thank you.

"Mio caro fratello, Hunter. Vorrei chiederti di essere al mio fianco, per favore," He spoke too rapidly to comprehend a word. I believed he said something about his financials.

My dear brother Hunter. Id like to request you to be by my side for this, please, Hunter translated via mind-link, June slapping her head in disappointment. He rose questionably, darting glances between me and Kaden and heading over ever so slowly.

"Grazie Hunter," Kaden slapped his back, drawing him extremely close by his neck. "Thank you all actually, for not only coming but for giving me your full attention. I promise it wont go to vain," He winked in the closet women way. She reddened down into a shade darker than her gown. Hunter rolled his eyes.

"I want to keep this short as possible. Also I dont want to hear a word until, and after Im done got that?" He growled a second later. With everyone freezing in their actions, I was the only one shifting into a more comfortable position. Wasnt sure if it was the alcohol in my system reacting, I gave a snort loud enough to ring in the silence.

Heads turned in my direction while draining the glass in hand and upon finishing, I reached out to seize the bottle Hunter left behind to find it empty without a drop left. Grunting some curses, I lean over the counter to find another more ancient looking bottle that could have been dated back to the prehistoric period.

The cluster of older women -probably in their late 20's- nearby stared with mortifying horror as I staggered back holding the bottle triumphantly, popping the cork with the yank of my mouth. Satisfied for now, I slum back in the stool just in time.

I swing the bottle to my lips, feeling my head beginning to spin a bit.

"I want to apologize. Apologize to you Hunter," said Kaden, looking to Hunter gravely and holding his shoulders. "I want to apologize for everything. For everything Ive ever said, for everything Ive done and everything Ive ever hid. I never meant to hide anything between us. I care for you, I always did. And now because I care, I realized my mistake and want you to know the truth you probably never knew existed but first. Leila?"

In a knee high dress of warm sunset rouge, faded denim jacket, tattered black converses and hair up held in place with a pencil, Leila came down one of the two circular brass staircase. There was murmur set loose in the crowd -to which Kaden didn't object, his and Hunter's attention narrowing on her every step. Hunter's back stiffened at the sight of her.

As she walked up to the pair, I took keen notice in the bandaging and purple bruises spotted on her legs. The marks all seemed less visible to first glance, as if the abuse had stopped and the marks were being treated.

Leila had strictly forbid me from getting involved, even in her aid of the healing process and beating those useless morons into a pulp.

Despite of her consist complains, I used to sneak some tubes of healing ointments to her room but this appeared to be more. I was so flabbergasted from the thought that someone was finally caring for her, I nearly dropped the bottle.

"Leila," Kaden turned to Hunter, heaving a heavy breath of air as she approached the duo looking just as clueless as Hunter, "Is your's and mine's, younger sister."

Leila and Hunter met Kaden with equal amounts of disbelief. Leila looked shattered, ready to collapse to her knees but instead reaches out to squeeze Hunter, standing on her tippy toes to met his neck.

Hunter unaware on know how to react lowers himself reluctantly, wraps both arms around her. Hugging each other, Hunter rests his neck in the nape of her shoulder.

Among the audience many women gave a loud gasp, some already creating and sharing the gossip hidden behind a hand while holding a hand to their chest. A stunning majority of the men turned to face one another with panic, scrunching the glass in hand and drenching themselves in a mixture of their drink and blood.

Hey June. Can you do something about all this chatter? Its rather distracting and just ruining the moment, I said gulping another mouthful.

Ugh. Tell me about it, June obliged gladly.

"Now, now, now. If they any one of you wretched A-holes, and I mean ANY ONE OF YOU have any problem or problems, you can either take it to me and have your kidneys torn out and given back in a jar, or you can go quietly fuck yourself in the back alleyway where I wont hear a word about it. Any objections?" I inquired in a dangerously low tone.

Eyes exchanged glances and a few gave loud gulping noises, all eventually craning their head down in submission. My heels clicking the only audible sound to be heard when walking to the center.

"Let the party recommence."

...

Hey owls,

Just another tiring day at school.

Woke up at 7 in the morning to dress up in a suit (salwar kameez) and right after school, time for the school dance! Literally just hopped in my dad's car from the end of the party and wanted to post another chapter -especially this one- while Im still in the partying vibe!

If partying has me this high tonight, I pity myself tomorrow for school.
