Damion's POV.
We walked into The Cruel and went to the special seats reserved for us.
"This is so beautiful." Ken said.
"Can you please stop talking about the fighting ring the way you talk about flowers Ken? For once?" Douglas snapped and I saw Ken glaring at him.
"This ring is prettier than flowers Dou." Ken defended, "It is the dream of every fighter to fight in The Cruel."
"Whatever!" Douglas muttered ignoring Kenneth.
"Damion." Ken said seriously, his playful mood changing in a moment.
I looked forward to see Erik with his men. Jeremiah was there too. He nudged Erik nodding towards us and Erik turned to see us a sly smirk glazing his lips.
That smirk was enough to set me and my men into rage. But we knew better.
He excused himself from whoever he was talking to walking towards us with a smile that made me want to kill him.
"Rey!" He said in overenthusiastic voice. The sarcasm didn't go unnoticed by me.
"Erik." I said nodding curtly towards him.
I saw Ken's hand disappearing in his suit jacket. I was sure he tightened the hold on the gun.
I shook my head microscopically at him.
His eyes showed disappointment but he let go of the gun anyway.
I didn't need the gun for this guy.
I knew he won't do anything that would catch people's attention.
He won't publicly break the Truce Sanchez and Santos have.
"So, ready to be defeated?" He asked.
I raised an eyebrow at him.
"I mean your fighter is ready to loose?"
I scoffed.
"We don't need to answer that Erik. See her by yourself." Ken snapped.
"Her eh?" He asked.
I saw Douglas clenching his fists. But I was calm as ice. This wasn't the time to fight.
I wasn't gonna fight him now. I needed to be calm until we were sure it was him.
"A girl would defeat my best? That's what Rey has got? A bloody fucking girl?" He smirked.
That hit the nerve in me.
I looked at him my eyes spilling fire. My hand went to my waist band taking out my gun holding it to his head. In a moment Ken's gun was pointed at him too.
His eyes stayed calm and emotionless while mine were raging with anger.
"Rey.. Ara." Douglas said trying get me lower my gun.
"Ken." He said again.
I looked dead into Erik's eyes for a last time before lowering my gun and sitting down on the chair.
Ken sat beside me and Erik walked away going to his side after glaring at us once.
"Damion? What was that?" Douglas asked.
I closed my eyes calming myself.
"Nothing. The fight." I said calmly diverting my attention to the ring in front of me.
Argyl stepped into the ring her eyes scanning the crowd with excitement. They looked towards me and I saw determination in them. She stretched her neck from side to side loosening herself up. She closed her brown eyes.
I looked at Erik who was looking at her with unknown emotion. I felt to snatch his eyes out for looking at her like this.
I don't know what it was, but I was getting really violent over small things.
I clenched my jaw looking at Erik.
If looks could kill, he would have been burning in the hell by now.
His eyes shifted to me and I passed him an warning look. His face stayed emotionless.
I was sure she would win this. I could read that in her eyes. I saw Erik's fighter enter the ring and the crowd cheered for him.
He had fought many fights in the Cruel and he is invincible. Of course the people here knew him.
He walked towards Argyl, and the referee soon indicated to begin the fight.
The whole fight, Ken was just panicking, muttering how she dodged the punch wrong and how she could kick better or strangle him. Shouting instructions at her which she couldn't even hear.
The very punch that hit her face, made me want to kill the bastard in front of me.
The anger boiled inside me every time he threw her on the ground.
The time he almost knocked her off the ground, I could see her in terrible pain.
That's it.
I clenched my fists my blood boiling and rising into my eyes. I felt heat coming out of me.
In a moment, I pulled out my gun aiming at the fighter.
"Damion. Keep it in." Douglas said as he saw me holding it.
"No! Rey shoot that fucking guy!" Ken said.
"Damion. You can't. Put the gun down. This is a fight. There are some rules."
"To hell with the fight! I don't care about the rules Douglas." I snapped my eyes not leaving the guy who was proudly gesturing the crowd to cheer for him.
I loaded the gun placing my finger on the trigger ready to pull.
But before I could, I saw her struggling to get up.
I could see her blood stained nose and her jaw. I could see her eyes filled with the pain unable to get up.
But what I couldn't see was the acceptance of defeat.
She got up on her feet gaining her balance, but I knew she was badly hurt. Very badly hurt.
I saw predator look in her eyes as he exchanged few words with her which didn't seem nice. I swear I would kill this man if he ever comes into my sight again.
She lunged forward punch striking him with a kick and another punch smashed on his face making him fall down on the ground.
That was a winning move. I knew she won. I knew that guy won't be getting up anytime soon.
She Won.
The referee declared her to be the winner, the crown going wild again. I had became completely deaf to there noises till then.
She smiled in victory her eyes shifting again to me.
I saw her looking at me proudly trying to prove me something. But before I could react, her eyes rolled back. Her body hitting the ground.
"Argyl!" I shouted getting up from my seat. Panick taking me over.
I ran towards her as fast as I could.
I saw people looking at me in terror but none of them did anything. They didn't even moved from there places as I sprinted towards the ring Ken and Douglas closely following me.
I couldn't care less about the people around us that moment. To hell with all of them.
The girl in front me was my first priority that moment.
I knelt down near her holding her in my arms.
I pulled her up close to my chest my vision blurring. My stomach churned at the sight of her. I felt pain in my heart. My heartbeats going wild at the sight of her like this. I just wanted the blood of that bastard on my hand who did this to her. But that can wait.
First of all needed to make sure she was okay.
Her face was badly bruised. Her eyes shut closed. I held her wrist checking her nerve which seemed to be fine. A sense of relief washed over me.
That moment I forgot everything around me. What I felt was unexplainable. I felt like I was being stabbed in my heart multiple times. I felt the pain I had never felt before..
I held her tightly to me, never willing to let her go. I wanted to take away all of her pain.
"Argyl.." I whispered near her ear.
"Get up baby.. You won this.." I tried. I tried to get her open her eyes. But she just was there still in my arms. Not moving. Her eyes closed. I wanted her to speak to look at me. To smile.
But she was unconscious.
"Ara.." Ken breathed.
"Rey we need to take her to the doc." Kenneth said.
I didn't listen to him.
I didn't want to let her go away from me.
The anger inside me was kept locked. It was seeking it's way out.
The girl in front of me just broke me. She was in pain. Her body limp in my hands. Her breaths silent and steady exact opposite to mine.
My heart beating at a speed of miles per second. Sweat forming on my forehead. Anger taking the best of me begging me to kill the person who did this to her.
"Damion." Ken said again.
"To the Wing." I said holding her head to my chest my hands caressing her hair silently asking her to wake up.
She needed to wake up.
"But Re-"
"Douglas! How clear you want me to be? We are taking her to the damn wing! RIGHT NOW!" I said in a deadly voice and I knew he wouldn't argue any further. Cause arguing with him, was the last thing I was going to do now.
He nodded.
I scooped her into my arms making sure not to hurt her any more.
I saw Erik in front of me, his face serious. His eyes were set on Argyl and I felt like shooting him. The Demon trying to get out. And at that moment I was willing to let him out.
"Is she- uh.." He blurt out.
"You don't need to worry Santos! Last warning to you, If I ever find your eyes set on her, I swear to the hell I will empty whole damn magazine into your head." I warned.
Without waiting for his reply, I walked out of the wing through the sea of people giving me weird looks. But they knew better than speaking.
I looked at her. She was so silent. She always was but this was different.
She was hurt and that was hurting me more.
Her face drenched in blood and so were my clothes but I couldn't care less about it.
I held her as close to me as I can as I got into the car.
"Get that bloody fighter to the Dark Wing."
