DAMION'S POV.
I held her close to me as she inhaled my cologne. She had her hands wrapped around me and her face buried in my chest. I couldn't control the paced beating of my heart. It wasn't listening to me anymore. I didn't had the control on my own actions anymore. The moment my lips met hers, I had given her everything. I had given her myself.
She was the reason. The reason my hear beat at such pace. The reason I was feeling so happy. The reason my hands craved to hold her. To touch her.
She was the reason.
I hadn't thought I would give into my feelings. But she made me do it. I didn't expect her to accept what she felt. I didn't thought she would name what we both felt. That she would say it.
The feeling I was running from, now I was embracing it. I didn't want to fight myself. I didn't want to fight my mind over this. I was breaking the rules I had made for winning but they didn't matter. There was no turning back now.
I didn't care about the war. I didn't care about Erik. All I cared was her and I knew she would fight with me.. I had accepted her and she was ready to live in this world. With me.
I accepted what I felt. I gave into my feelings and damn it felt right. It felt so right to have her with me. To know that she knew what I am and she was ready for it.
It felt so good to know that she didn't care about me being a killer. She was ready to kill with me.
She was ready to be with me at any damn stage.
She was going to be my weakness. Yes she indeed was. But at the same time she will be my strength. She was going to be a reason to fight for.
I closed my eyes nuzzling my face into the crook of her neck feeling her shiver at my movement.
I pulled her closer to me if that was even possible now. I didn't want to let her go.
This time I wouldn't let her go. I was planning to hold her forever to me. Forever.
"Damion.." She said into my chest.
I hummed in response.
"I never thought this would happen." She said silently.
I pulled back to look into her eyes. Her brown orbs were looking into mine. A small smile gracing her lips. I had never seen such happiness in her eyes before. The way she was looking at me I knew I had total control on her. I knew she had let me in. She was ready to show me her darkest parts and she was ready just to be mine. She had given me everything she had.
I knew, that she loves me.
"Me neither." I replied looking at her smiling slightly.
"Why do you always run from emotions?" She asked me.
"Don't you?" I asked.
Her smiled widened as she nodded.
"Yes. But you messed everything up." She said.
"I can say the same thing." I replied cupping her face in my palm. She immediately closed her eyes leaning into my touch.
It scared me to know how deeply I affected her. How deeply she was attached to me. So was I. I always had felt this towards her since the very start. Nothing went according to the plan when it came to her. My heart always messed things up. My brain stopped working every time I saw her.
In such a short span of time, I had started loving this girl in front of me.
It was crazy. Really crazy.
I had never thought this would happen ever.
"We should leave." I said looking around the Dark Wing.
This place was not for her. I shouldn't have brought her here. She opened her eyes to look at me. Smiling she nodded. I smiled back at her. I lowered my hands entwining our finger and started walking towards the door.
Ken stood right outside it leaning against the wall with a gun in his hand. His eyes snapped to us as he heard us come out.
His eyes spotted our entwined fingers a small smirk growing on his face as he looked back at me. I kept my face expressionless glaring at him.
He looked at her giving her a smile and she smiled back at him.
He glanced at me smirking and I rolled my eyes.
"My office Ken. In ten." I snapped.
He nodded.
We walked out of the Dark Wing to the Main Wing. She kept stealing side ways glances at me causing a small smirk to make it's way on my face.
I opened the door to my room and we walked in.
"I will be back in an hour or so." I said looking at her. She smiled softly nodding.
I didn't want to go away from her. But I couldn't ignore the work. I didn't want to step away but I had important topics to discuss about.
"Take some rest." I said nodding towards the bed.
She nodded.
"I don't want you to go hunting down the Wing Argyl, stay in the room." I said in a warning tone.
She nodded back.
I gave her a last warning look and stepped out of the room.
This girl was doing weird things to me. I shook my head to clear away all the thoughts and walked to my office.
I opened the door to see Ken, Douglas, Will and Roger standing there. They stopped talking as soon as they saw me.
I eyed them suspiciously. Ken had a smirk on his face which didn't seem good.
I walked to my chair settling on it.
They all kept looking at me. I raised a questioning eyebrow and Ken bursted out laughing and Roger was having a hard time in controlling his laugh.
I kept looking at them emotionlessly.
"Sorry." Ken said between his laugh.
"Ken that's enough." Douglas snapped.
I deeply appreciated that.
"Really Douglas?" Ken asked, "You should have looked at him. You should have seen the way he looks at her." Ken argued.
"Finally he accepted it." Will said.
I passed him a glare successfully shutting him up.
Ken stopped laughing in a few.
"Really man. You should have done it way before!" He said smirking.
"Of course, of course." I said monotonously.
"She was the one who said it first wasn't she?" Douglas asked.
I passed him a disbelieving look.
"Yes." I agreed.
They shook their heads.
"You can expect this from Ara though." Roger said.
"I just didn't want weakness." I said seriously.
That made their playful mood change to something serious.
"Damion." Ken said taking a step closer to the table.
"It's alright to have feelings for someone." He said.
"Not in our world. Once they know about her, they will come after her." I admitted what I was feeling.
"Of course they would." Douglas said, "But we are here." He continued.
"And she is there of course. It's not easy to attack her." Will nodded.
I let out a chuckle.
"She is perfect." Ken said.
"I know." I agreed.
She was perfect to live in this world.
"Don't think much of it. You both are perfect." Roger said.
I smiled looking at him.
"Let's get back to work guys!" I said opening the file in front of me.
"Spivak will be here tomorrow." Douglas informed.
"Great." I nodded.
"Here are the records of past two days and all the things you have missed." Roger handed me the files.
I nodded looking at the pile of files.
"And we are keeping an eye on Leo." Will said.
"Rey, What makes you doubt him?" Roger asked.
"He is just suspicious." Ken said.
That was true. He was just suspicious. I knew he was her friend but neither me nor Ken seemed to like that guy.
And I trusted my senses. He gave me bad vibes.
May be I was just being paranoid.
"Did we get anything out from Erik's man?" I asked.
"Not yet. He is not speaking up." Ken said shaking his head.
"Hm.." I said thinking.
"We need to get him open his mouth." I said to Ken.
He nodded.
"If he still doesn't I have something in my mind." I said smirking.
Ken's face broke into a smirk matching mine.
"I hope he doesn't then." He said.
Douglas shook his head.
"You both are sadists!" He said with a smile on his face.
I twirled the chair smiling.
Of course I was.
"Let's wait for Spivak then?" I said and they nodded.
I gave them a curt nod and they went out of the office. Ken stayed back.
I raised an eyebrow at him.
He smiled.
"I am really happy for you. At least now she won't go all crazy on me during fights."
I chuckled on his remark.
"Thanks man." I said.
He nodded and went out of the office leaving me alone with a lot of work to catch up with.
