I saw him putting on a t-shirt and he walked out of the room closing the door behind him.
I stood up walking to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth had a quick shower and changed into his another t-shirt.
It smelt like him. Just like him.
I smiled and walked out and saw him entering the room with a tray in his hands.
He looked at me, his eyes trailing the path from my head to my toes and again meeting my eyes.
I kept looking at him this whole time. He placed the tray on the table near the bed and walked to me.
I stood there rooted waiting for his next move.
His hand wrapped itself around my waist and he pulled me closer our faces inches apart.
He lowered his head leaning forward and I could feel his hot breath on my neck. I stopped breathing for a moment.
Shivers running down my spine as his nose touched the neck trailing down the path till my shoulder before inhaling deeply.
He trailed the same path back to my neck and the finally pulled back. I filled my lungs with air. He smirked knowing the effect he had on me.
He closed the small distance between us capturing my lips in a passionate kiss.
I fisted his t-shirt pulling myself to him as he angled my face to kiss me. His hand gripped my hair while other stayed at my waist. My eyes closed, I lost myself in him.
He slowly deepened the kiss and I held him tighter. The shivers running through all my body. His kiss was making me feel alive. It was wakening my nerves. Each and every part of my mind was covered with his thoughts.
I pulled back feeling desperate need of air.
I didn't open my eyes resting my forehead on his chest.
I felt his finger lifting my chin up. I opened my eyes looking up at him.
His blue eyes were filled with adoration and love.
They looked different. Their colour seeming more alive than before.
He smiled softly at me and I smiled back.
"Let's eat shall we?" He asked in a voice barely above whisper.
I nodded silently as he walked us to the bed.
We eat the dinner silently. Just enjoying the comfortable silence. With him.
He didn't speak a word and neither did I.
The silence was comfortable.
Once we were done, Damion took out the tray and the plates and came back in few minutes.
He climbed on the bed sitting beside me stretching his legs in front of him and resting his back on the headboard.
He gestured me to come near him and I compiled sitting beside him in the same position as him.
I rested my head on his shoulder. He looked at me and smiled.
"Today you are behaving like an attention seeking cub." He commented.
I narrowed my eyes at him. He laughed resting his head on mine.
"You are cute." He said kissing my hair and I smiled wrapping my hands around his shoulders.
"Do we plan to sit like this the whole day?" He asked.
I nodded without looking at him.
"You have got something else?" I asked him putting my chin on his shoulder looking at him.
He shook his head 'no'.
"Then this is the plan." I shrugged.
He smiled entwining our fingers as we sat there in silence.
"Yesterday, you seemed a bit tense." I stated.
He looked at me.
"Yeah. I found one of my men betraying me. Erik has something planned."
I looked up at him.
"What?"
"That's what we don't know." He said pulling his eyebrows together,"I guess he knows about you. He has asked his men to keep an eye on you."
"I am waiting for him to come after me." I smirked.
He shook his head his thumb running on the back of my palm..
"He would never in his right mind." He said.
"Damion..?" I said.
He hummed in response.
"Are you sure the Double Fighting Ring would take him down?" I asked.
"Yes. It is his main source of money." He nodded.
"Hm." I said thinking.
"How is your practice going?" He asked looking down at me.
"Good I guess. I am enjoying learning new techniques with knives." I said.
"You like the knives more than guns, don't you?" He asked smiling.
I nodded.
"They were the first weapon I held in my hand." I replied.
"When did you start fighting?" He asked me.
"Fourteen." I said, "And you?"
"What me?" He asked.
"When did you take over?" I asked.
He stayed silent for a moment not answering me right away. I didn't push him. I stared at out entwined fingers. My bruised hand in his strong one.
His thumb slowly ran over my knuckles.
"When I was nineteen. Five years back." He said silently.
I looked at him. His eyes showed a different emotion as he was lost in his past.
I planted a soft kiss on his cheek and he looked at me.
"What is it?" I asked him.
He shook his head.
"Just how everything has changed." He said.
I looked at him waiting for him to continue but he didn't.
"Did you not to be in this world?" I asked him.
He shook his head.
"No. I have always wanted to be here. Since I was a kid." He said, "This Empire is my life."
He glanced at me.
"Did you?" He asked.
"I love where I am. I don't regret getting in here. I love fighting. I am proud of it." I said smiling.
He smiled back at me.
"How did you get into all these?" He asked.
I stopped breathing for a moment. I didn't know what to say. How to tell him about it.
He sensed my discomfort.
"It's okay." He said rubbing my hand, "You don't need to do this."
I nodded.
"Whenever you feel okay." He said smiling and kissed my forehead.
I smiled back palely at him.
He pulled me up so that I was sitting on his lap sideways. I let out a squeal and he chuckled.
I hooked my hands around him resting my head on his chest calmly.
"How was your life before I uh.." He trailed off.
"Kidnapped me and dragged me here?" I asked completing his sentence.
He ran his fingers through his hair looking at me.
"Yeah.. Uh.. Kind of." He said and my face broke into a smile.
"I don't mind it though." I said making him smile.
"So, I was this girl going to school with perfect grades and a perfect daughter to my mum and dad. Living a drama free life.."
"Who fought at night." He added.
I nodded.
"Who killed my best fighter." He pointed out.
"Yeah.. Uh.. Kind of." I said.
"I don't mind though." He repeated my words and smirked at me.
"I didn't purposely kill him. He died." I said playing with the hem of his t-shirt.
"And what about my men you killed in your house?" He asked.
"I thought they would hurt me and my family." I stated nervously.
"Well I did plan to keep you in the Dark Wing." He admitted.
I looked at him, his eyes looking straight into mine.
"But then you had this effect on me and I could help myself." He said his knuckles lightly brushing across my cheek.
I kept staring into his eyes.
"You had the same effect on me Damion. Since the day I saw you in the Dark Wing." I said my thumb tracing his jawline.
He looked into my eyes softly and my heart started beating fast in a moment.
He didn't say anything but his gaze on me was enough for my breath to hitch.
His warm blue eyes were focused on me, refusing to move.
"Do you know how beautiful your eyes are?" He asked.
I smiled lightly.
If only he knew how beautiful his are.
"Promise me Argyl, you won't leave me." He said looking at me.
"I already have." I said.
"Again?" He asked.
He was really afraid of loosing me. His eyes showed that.
I moved a little planting soft kiss on his lips and pulled back quickly.
"Yes Damion. I won't leave you." I smiled cupping his face running my thumb on his stubble. He looked at me.
"You will always stay by my side?" He asked.
"Always."
"So will you." I said smiling and he nodded.
"No matter what?"
"No matter what." I replied.
He caught my lips in a small kiss reminding me of our promises.
I wasn't gonna forget them anyway.
I didn't know what I would do if I wasn't with him.
What I will ever be without him.
I knew I couldn't live.
He was my life now.
He was my passion just like fighting was.
His Empire was mine and his war was mine now.
He was mine just like I was his.
I love him and I always will.
He pulled me closer and I closed my eyes resting on shoulder, his scent filling my mind and his warmth enveloping me.
"Since when do you know Leo?" He asked.
"Since I started fighting. He is the son of my trainer." I said without looking at him as my fingers trailed the tattoo on his wrist creeping upwards.
The skull and the abstract design looked dangerous on him.
"Why?" I asked him absentmindedly.
"I doubt him." He said.
"You do?" I asked surprised.
He nodded playing with my fingers.
"I do. We can't trust him."
"Damion. I have known him since years. I know he won't hurt me." I said.
He looked at me for a moment unknown emotion flashing in his eyes.
"I have seen trusted people killing the person Argyl. You can't trust anyone." He said.
"I don't trust him so deeply Damion. I don't but I have this confidence in him. He won't hurt me." I said, "I have never trusted anyone after my mum.." I trailed off.
Tears prickled my eyes.
"Hey Hey.. It is fine. I am with you." He said rubbing my back calming me down.
I wanted to tell him.
He deserved to know. He wanted know.
He deserved to know the Argyl who was weak.
"I want to tell you." I said and he looked at me his hand still rubbing my back.
"Are you sure? You don't have to do this." He said cupping my face.
I nodded.
"I want to." I replied.
"Take your time. You can stop whenever you want." he said.
I nodded taking in a deep breath.
"I was thirteen. My dad was out of the town for his work." I started my fingers trembling.
He quickly handed me my knife and I smiled at him. He didn't smile back as looked at me waiting for me to continue.
I started spinning it.
"My mum was drug addict." I said.
His eyes were set on the knife in my hands but I knew he was listening to me.
"That day, I went home from school to find two people in our house. My mum was begging them to give her some time when I entered the house." I said all the memories flashing in front of me.
I didn't look at him as I continued.
"She stopped when she saw me, all the heads snapping in my direction. I saw wicked smirk forming on her lips as she dragged me in." I said and he eyes snapped to meet mine.
I pressed my lips in a thin line.
He held me tightly assuring me it was fine. He was there. No matter what.
"She.. She.. sold me." I said emotionlessly looking at him. His hand clenched into fists his jaw tightening. His grip around me tightened.
He looked calm. His face not showing any trace of emotion.
But I knew he was anything but calm. This was the calm before storm.
The ocean goes back in before breathtaking waves forms on it's surface destroying everything in their path.
The Demon in him was waiting to be set free.
Damion kept him caged just feeding him the anger.
He was kind of person who kept all the anger bottled up inside him.
"I cried. I begged her not to. But the drugs were more important than her daughter. They tried to take me with them. My hands found the small knife on the kitchen platform and I stabbed one of them." I said looking at him.
He looked at me his eyes showing pride. They were saying that I was his girl.
"I killed one of them. The other slapped me hard and he tried to drug me. So did my mum. I screamed. I stabbed him in his hand and in that I stabbed my mum too. She fell on the ground. The man ran away." I took in a sharp breath.
He didn't say anything. He just stayed there listening to me silently. Anger dancing in his eyes. I knew he would kill anyone who would come in front of him.
"I.. I.." I couldn't complete it as tears crowded my vision.
He held me rocking me back and forth.
"I killed my mum." I voiced out, "She tried to kill me. But I was quicker. It happened. It just did." I said tears streamed down. I buried my face in his neck crying.
His cologne relaxing me.
"Dad came and found me in a corner. Scared. He called the cops and they recognised the person as drug dealer and found traces of drugs in my mum's blood. I wasn't asked any question. I was never asked anything." I said into his neck.
"It's okay." He said silently, "It's okay baby. I am with you. You didn't do anything wrong. I am proud of you." He continued to whisper in my ears soothing me.
"Then I started going to fighting clubs to let out the anger and frustration. I started finding peace in violence. I started fighting. It helped me forget everything. It told me that I was something. I wasn't weak."
"You never were baby. You never were." He said.
He stayed there for few minutes.
He pushed me a little back to look into my eyes.
He wiped away the tears softly.
"Do you remember the names of those people?" He asked.
I shook my head.
"Do you remember their faces?" He asked me pushing the loose strands of my hair behind my ears.
"No." I replied.
"Do you remember anything baby?" He asked, "Tell me. I will find out whom they worked for. The person will pay. He will pay. He would regret he ever touched you." He said looking at me.
"Tell me baby. Just tell me." He said.
I knew he would. I knew he would kill for me. That person will regret it. I knew he could go to any stage and that's what I didn't want. I wanted to be his strength. Not his down fall.
"No. I don't remember anything." I said in a small voice.
"It's okay. We will find him out. I will make him pay for what he did to my girl." He said rubbing my back as I hugged him with the whole power I had.
I didn't want to let go of him.
"It's okay baby. I am with you. I am proud of you. You are the strongest girl I have seen. It wasn't your fault." He said soothing me running his hand through my hair.
My heart beats slowing down. I relaxed in his embrace. He didn't let go of me. He held me. Patiently he sat there whispering soothing words in my ears telling me he loved me and he was proud of me.
Rocking us back and forth he waited for me to calm down.
I pressed my face to his chest inhaling his scent.
It made me feel safe and loved.
I knew he won't let anything happen to me.
I had never told anyone about this. This was my part of life I hadn't shared with anyone.
I slowly calmed down. My sobs dying down. My harsh breaths becoming normal.
I pulled back looking at him. His eyes were set on the wall fire raging in them.
He looked at me and they softened.
"I love you." I said looking at him.
"I love you too baby." He said smiling palely, "It is all fine now. No one is gonna touch you again. I will make sure that bastard gets what he deserves." He said looking at me.
I nodded.
"I know."
"You will never have to go through anything alone. I am right here with you." He said smiling at me.
I smiled back at him.
"But wasn't it good in a sense?" I asked him silently.
He raised his eyebrows.
"If I hadn't been fighting, I wouldn't have met you." I said.
He smiled.
"You would have met me in any way Argyl. You are mine." He said touching our foreheads.
"Don't think of it. Don't think of your past." He said and I placed head on his shoulder and my hand resting on his chest.
"You need to sleep. Today, you were supposed to rest." He said looking at me.
My fingers slightly moved on his chest.
"Close you eyes. Sleep." He whispered in my ear.
I complied closing my eyes, blocking out every thought from my mind. The darkness engulfed me over again.
