Blue's POV
My smile was bright as I strolled calmly down the sidewalk.
Ira, she was home waiting for me, I hope she loves these flowers I've gotten her. She's seemed so stressed lately, so ... sad, I just want to make her smile.
Make my mate happy, she really was perfect. Everything about her was perfect for me.
The calm to my storm, that finally allowed me to calm down myself.
I'm just ... happy!
I chuckle to myself as I continue back towards the office where she was waiting for me.
How had I ever lived my life, without her?
Especially after she had looked so amazing yesterday at the gala, and now today we were heading to Glare and Trina's party for their son.
That should be so much fun, hopefully the kids at the party will push Ira into wanting our own. The sooner the better.
Is it possible to be in this much love? I smiled again as a woman passed me, her eyes narrowing before she stopped completely.
Her purple hair swinging wildly as she jerked to a stop.
"What the fuck?" I heard her mutter from behind me, before a hand gripped mine, swinging me around.
Her brown face was gorgeous, her narrowed eyes crinkled in confusion as she watched me. The purple hair she had tied up high in a ponytail away from her face.
She looks so familiar ... a flash of curly locks flashed in my mind before Ira's face came tumbling back.
"It's me dickwand, d-did you just smile at me?" she demanded, her deep voice slightly marred by an accent, Russian.
I searched her face, before it clicked, "Sasha! I'm sorry, I almost didn't recognize you" I smiled brightly back at her.
Friend.
She was my friend.
Her eyes narrowed in disgust and confusion.
"Why the fuck are you walking on sidewalks, smiling and did you just say my name in a sentence without the word bitch, ugly, or dog?" she asked.
I chuckled at her joke, she was funny!
How could I have forgotten her face?
"I apologize-" she choked, "-a-are you alright?" I asked, as she stood shocked looking back at me, frozen.
"Are you high?" she demanded, her face frowning as she looked me up and down, "or just heavily drunk?" she snapped.
I chuckled at her jokes, why is she so funny?!
"Sasha! You are just too hilarious! No, I was just taking a stroll, taking some flowers back to my Ira" I smiled as I pushed the flowers up into Sasha's eyesight, allowing her to see the bouquet.
She blinked at me, before looking back at the flowers, "its my duty as a best friend to kick your ass for even saying that bitches name in my presence, but since you seem like your high off fucking bath salts, I'm just going to ask you one fucking question, Doom. Why in the fuck, did you break Katrina's heart?" she snapped.
The world hazed.
I blinked trying to bring everything back into focus.
Katrina ... Katrina, m-my other friend.
Yes she was my other friend.
W-we were all good friends, yes.
"I hate to break this to you, but you have the fucking personality of a knife set that randomly stabs people, she is the only crazy ass bitch in this entire world, who will ever truly love you, you lamp. Soul mate or not, Katrina was probably the only person in this whole world who saw the horror film that is your soul and say, 'fuck it' and still decided to love you! And you should know that I have very detailed and upcoming plans to introduce your home to some gasoline and a lighter and burn that bitch down with you and your whore inside. Like I said, just best friend principles, you dick" she continued.
The image in front of me hazed again, before I smiled, a dazed feeling falling over my body, "yes, how is Katrina? I-I hope she's h-happy?", why can't I breathe? Why can't I see Katrina's face in my mind, w-who was she again?
Flashes of bright brown eyes, curly, thick hair, and perfectly pouted lips entered my mind.
Who is that?
Sasha paused looking at me, "No, she's not happy! She's being forced to get married, last time I saw the bitch she was in a hard core depression, and not to mention you broke her heart, asshole!" she snapped her face turning red as she continued to scream at me on the side walk.
Broke her heart?
But Katrina ... and I ... we were friends. We are friends, we- we talk at parties and our companies do business every once in a while.
A calmness settled over my body as Ira's face flashed in my mind, all images of that curly thick hair, and those beautiful brown eyes disappearing from my mind, to far away for me to grab.
I smiled down at Sasha, she's such a good friend.
"I'll see you at Trina's party, yes?" I smiled down at her before turning away and continuing back towards the office, to Ira.
Ira.
"Stop fucking smiling, it lets people know just how fucking demented you really are!" I heard Sasha's screech from behind me.
I laughed as I waved back at her, "see you later!" I called.
She's so funny, she could be a comedian!
But as I continued back to the office, back to my mate, something felt wrong now. A small itch in the back of my skull, telling me something was wrong.
But what could possibly be wrong?
What could feel so wrong?
It rushed from my mind as I walked into the office, smiling and nodding at the employees working.
They all just stared back at me in shock, but my mind was only on Ira.
And something told me I shouldn't tell her about the flashes on a beautiful woman, plaguing my mind.
Yes, don't tell.
