Katrina's POV

Now, I can admit, I've seen some shit in my day.

I've seen a tall ass villain throw a lit cigarette on a building and commit arson.

Up close.

I've seen the shitty side of a gun pointed right in my face.

I have even seen the extreme anger of a sociopath with the ability to shoot lightning out of his ass.

Like I'm saying, I've set some shit.

However, what passed over my eyes as I turned that corner, had a feeling rushing through.

Utter a complete fucking fear.

My dear old friend.

That night where Blue cornered me like a small animal and followed me through that dark alleyway, that feeling of 'oh-my-fucking-shit' had been strong.

Bing faced with a large prick with unbelievably superpowers can do that to a person.

And even when Blue had stalked me like a fucking psycho, rounding that damn corner with that sick smile, that had melted when I swung that plank of wood into his face, even when he had dripped pure menace from his voice as he told me to run, even all that fear hadn't added up to this.

That shit your organs out, then suck them back in through your ass, fear had been kiddy pool shallow to what was running through me now.

Because for all Blue's terrifying fucking assets.

At least he looked human.

Or had that night I had run into him.

What I saw as I turned that corner, that shadowy beast, that had black scales and leathery skin, with a snout so long, and fangs that were a glowing yellow, along with those wide red fucking eyes, put me on a completely different level of fear.

The kind you can fucking smell.

Not to mention his body was tall enough to completely stand over top of me.

Overtop.

Of me.

The kind of fear where you aren't just going to shit out your major organs, but also vomit them up, along with a few bones like your fucking spine, because when that type of fear hits you, your body seems to shut down.

Like maybe you did just shit and vomit all the important stuff out, because it sure as hell is not working fucking properly at the moment.

Ana finally stopped dragging me down the hallway as we came to an intersection. I knew I had to look comical from the wince that Ana and Cha gave me when they looked back at me.

"You looked didn't you?" Cha winced.

I could only fucking stammer in her face.

Fuck Blue killing Daniel, Riley, and Carson.

I was going to do it.

Their brilliant plan was to sell me to that .... there not even a name for what Raymond is, and they just thought I'd get away?

Escape?

I just witnessed a creature that crawled out of every fucking horror film ever.

Ana kept her head swiveling as she no doubt listened for incoming company.

I blinked at Ana, "we are more fucked that Anastasia in fucking fifty shade of grey!" I hissed as I gripped my chest.

Ana huffed out her agreement, "I'm going ahead, I hear three servants guarding the next hallway, wait five minutes then follow" she quickly said before disappearing around the corner.

Cha and I watched her go, before she slowly turned back to me, "Raymond ... is powerful, Kat, I told you that" she sighed.

My chest constricted as the image of him chasing us down and no doubt eating us, surfaced.

"I know a lot of powerful people, Cha, none of them have ever turned in a mix of a ninja turtle and a fucking werewolf" I hissed back at her.

Cha sagged, fear rolling over her whole body as she looked up at me, "Kat. I know. I fucking know, okay?" her voice quivered, "but the man I love is somewhere in this place of horrors, and-" she wiped at her face, "-and if you of all fucking people cannot get us out of this, then no one can. You got us in Cirron's place, which isn't even on that plane. The only person crazy enough to get us out of here, all of us, is you and that blue crazy son of a bitch. Katrina I need you right now, okay? Because all that fear you feel, I feel it twice as bad, because I know what happens to me if we get stuck in here" her voice quivered as she gripped my wrist tightly.

Her eyes begging me to pull my shit together.

Well, fuck.

I wanted to scream.

Everyone knows I'm a last resort to an already shitty plan.

Fuck me.

I sighed as I grabbed her hand, "listen bitch, we are getting out of here. All of us, okay? Don't worry, I've been carrying this shitty team on my back for some time now-" she made a choking sound, "-I've completely got this. And don't worry about Vapor, my side kick won't let anything happen to him-" again that choking sound, "just like I won't let anything happen to you. Now how far is the garage from the property line we have to cross?" I asked her.

Her mouth was dangling slightly, "uh- about a mile and a half, but the sand will no doubt slow us down" she sighed.

"We'll worry about that later" I sighed.

We listened as someone's body collided into a wall, along with the sounds of fists hitting flesh.

Hopefully, thats Ana not getting her ass kicked.

Cha turned back to me, "do you really believe Doom's your side kick?" she asked completely blown away.

I smiled, "of course. He's the supporting character in my story" I shrugged.

Cha cracked a smile, "I love you" she laughed as she shook her head.

I opened my mouth to respond, only to have us both freeze as the sound of hard running rushed to our ears.

We both turned to look behind us at the same time.

I watched as Diane's body flew around the corner, my image still printed on her skin.

Her eyes wide in fear as sweat drenched her whole body.

"RUN!" she screeched from down the hallway, just in time for us to watch a huge black shadowy form slam into the wall she had just pushed off of.

The beast shook its head, its eyes rolling over Diane, before looking up at Cha and I's ashen faces.

A vicious growl ripped through its mouth as it bared its teeth, before taking off at a dead sprint towards all of us.

"Fuck. Go!" I hissed pushing a frozen Cha forward.

We rounded the corner, sprinting towards where Ana stood over three bodies, her hands on her hips as she breathed hard.

Her head turned to look up at Cha and I, before they flitted behind us, where she no doubt saw Diane.

Her face went pale, just as the sound of a crash flowed down the hallway, "GO YOU DUMB BITCH!" I screeched as we collided towards her.

She needed no further instruction as she turned with Cha and I, and we all flew down the hallway, our breath hard as we tried to outrun the horrible sound of paws on marble flooring.

"Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck" I hissed, as I pumped my hands and legs as fast as they could possibly go.

Not like this.

I won't be eaten by some creature.

I won't be shit out by some turtle-dog.

Fuck no.

"LEFT DOOR!" Cha bellowed, sending our bodies crashing through a small door, where we tumbled into a concrete room.

Car after shiny car met my sight, as we rushed into the room.

My eyes quickly scanned the huge room, as Cha pressed down on the garage opener she had stolen, sending light breathing into the room as the garage pulled up.

Freedom.

And a shit ton of sand, was all that greeted us.

Hills and hills of golden sand.

We'd never make it on foot. We'd have absolutely no chance.

My eyes shot to the truck at the end of the row.

On wheels though?

I smile graced my lips.

On wheels, we'd have a chance.

Blue's POV

Vapor watched me with a blank face as we left the basement and started slowly making our way back towards the center of the house.

"Was that a good idea?" he stated calmly as we fell into step with one another.

Out of all the annoying people I find myself surrounded with, Vapor was one of them that I actually could stand.

The majority of the time.

"Cirron isn't like Lee. Pressing our foot into that bitch's throat won't keep him down. That fight with Cirron will take everything we've got. So was that a good idea? Probably not, but its a necessary evil" I said as we slowly started climbing back towards the luxurious palace.

We turned, heading higher and higher up as we took stairs, trying to get to the roof of this hell hole.

I peered over at Vapor's stoic face, I didn't particularly care for his drama, but when I needed it Cha had come to my rescue. And Katrina's.

Sigh.

"Divorce" I stated calmly.

He didn't even blink, keeping that mask of cool on his hard face, "she'll kill her" he stated back calmly.

He had a point.

Fiona had always been a crazy bitch.

How she could even be considered a hero, was beyond my understanding.

Especially since she had the anger management control of a three year old.

I knew she'd kill Cha on sight, no questions asked, or answered.

But Katrina tended to make friends with secret psychos, so who knows, Cha could probably handle herself.

She seemed capable enough when she nearly blinded Ana the other day.

"She'll kill you" I finally answered back to Vapor.

He seemed to chew on that comment, before shrugging slightly. He'd think about it.

"Katrina" he stated.

I tried not to wince.

"It's fucked up" I answered back as we climbed another set of stairs.

He nodded, "she's scared" he finished.

Of what? What could she possible be so afraid of and what did that have to do with me? With us?

I had always protected her, or tried to.

She was always my first thought, and now she doesn't even know if she wants to be with me.

Astounding.

"What does that have to do with me?" I asked him, hoping maybe he could shed some light on her fickle ass.

This asshole smirked at me, "everything" he finished as we finally made it to the roof, shoving the door open so we could step out on the top of the pyramid structure that held Raymond's sick house of horrors.

I was about to ask Vapor what he knows, more like threaten to electrocute his balls if he didn't tell me, but at the moment a shrill scream broke through the air, forcing us to turn just in time to see Ana's body holding onto a huge doorless jeep for dear life.

Her body fighting against the wind as she struggled to stay on the truck.

The truck rolled hard over a sand dun sending it flying high into the air, where I was able to see a truly horrific view.

Cha was in the passengers seat, her face one of complete terror as she watched the car fly high into the skin, behind her with her face in the middle of the two front seats was Diane, her mouth wide open releasing a horrified scream of terror, and Ana's body holding on tight to the truck, her legs flying free in the air.

And finally, Katrina Justice.

Sitting in the drivers seat, her hair like a halo of curly brown behind her, a huge ass smile on her face as she smiled in delight, her foot no doubt pressing the gas pedal all the way to the ground.

Vapor let out a choking noise as we then turned to look behind them, only to find a fifty inch brown snake, as thick as the car itself snapping up into the air behind the car, fangs gleaming as it opened its mouth in a hiss.

Katrina turned, that shits eater smile of hers bright, as she stood out of her seat.

The car was slowly starting to fall back to the ground as she pressed her hands together tight, the air around us seeming to electrify as her eyes started to glow like mine.

She yanked her hands apart harshly pulling away to forge a long spear of pure electric power.

Without hesitation, this crazy bitch, threw the spear with deadly accuracy, sending the bolt crashing into the snakes face.

They both crashed at the same time.

The snake shriveling into the sand, and the truck bouncing back into the sand, before the engine gunned, sending sand into the air, and the cackling sound of Katrina's laugh.

"TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND POINTS" her voice boomed across the rolling sand, the truck gunning towards the line where she'd finally be safe.

I think I could hear some one crying as well, "you crazy bitch" someone sobbed.

"DID YOU FUCKING SEE THAT?!" I watched her head of curls as she turned to look back at Raymond's twisting body, "EAT BOLTS BITCH!" she screeching into the air before plopping down into her seat and gunning it back towards the line.

I could only shake my fucking head.

"She's fucking crazy" I muttered watching her yank and pull the truck erratically through the sand.

"A good kind of crazy", Vapor said, something close to a smile in his voice.

"Crazy none the less, which makes it hard to believe someone else besides me could want her" I hissed, Rhett's ugly ass face popping into my mind.

Like herpes.

Vapor let loose a deep chuckle, "you don't believe that".

He was right. I didn't.

Anyone who didn't want her was the true crazy one.

But fuck, I couldn't kill the whole single male population ... without her crying like a little bitch about it.

"Doom" Vapor's voice pulled me from my own personal problems, just in time to let me watch Raymond's body contort and twist into .... a large ass scorpion.

You've got to be fucking with me.

It had to be over thirty feet tall, as it clipped it claws twice before nose diving into the sand.

"Oh fuck" I hissed, he's going to hit them from below. "Go!" I hissed at Vapor as he allowed himself to be pulled up into the air, before multiple tornadoes slowly started to grow on the sand, spinning around and around, moving into a formation around the truck.

I took off at a deadly speed, cutting through the air till I hovered right beside the truck, Katrina's eyes cutting to mine.

"He's coming from below!" I growled over at her, as she struggled to hear me over the whirling wind surrounding us.

"WHAT?" she screamed back.

"BLUE!" Vapor bellowed.

Out of time.

One of the tornadoes crashed into the side of the truck, sending it flying sideways, nearly into me.

I could have held it up, flew it to safety.

But Vapor wasn't fast enough.

The sand erupted as Raymond's scorpion body crashed through the sand, just nicking the side of the truck enough to send it whirling up into the air, away from me, and flying at a deadly path towards the ground.

Fuck.

But I should have known, my Katty wasn't going down like that.

And my heart nearly stopped beating as I watched her and her band of dumbass, jump from a flinging car.

Oh fuck.

I dove.
