Katrina's POV
I felt physically ill.
No joke, I was about to throw up all over this battle field, and if I was lucky maybe even on Cirron.
My stomach was churning with nausea so fierce that I had been pretty much swallowing baby puke for the last five minutes.
Ever since Blue gave me that look.
It was the same fucking one he had given me that day in Ray's palace, when we'd been in that bed together, right before our whole universe had gone to shit.
It was like his eyes had physically plucked me out of whatever situation we were trapped in, and he just held me there.
That was the look he had given me, except instead of that field of flowers he had seen us in before, I felt like he saw me standing over his grave stone, for years to come.
Him there and me here.
And even though I was a thousand different shades of fucking confused about my feelings, one thing I would always know to be true was that Blue Doom was an essential fucking part of me.
Something in him, was in me.
And something in me, was in him.
We were linked.
Whether through time or fate or whatever, we were linked, twisted and gnarled together like a tree, but one whole.
No matter how demented it was, or sick, or twisted.
He and I would always be linked.
Whether I chose to marry a different man tomorrow, Blue and I were something that could not simply be forgotten or unwritten.
We were fucking ink.
So when he stared down at me, almost like he could see my life continuing even though his had ended, well, I felt like projectile vomiting the handful of dried cheerios I had shoved in my mouth before I had climbed into that steel coffin of death this morning and snuck out.
I stood behind him, watching as he transformed into something dark and sinister.
I watched Blue's body tense, before seeming to relax in that state.
I felt the air churn and hiss as energy came rolling in, attracted to the monster that was currently calling to it.
He was chaos in a storm, and the world bent to his will.
Blue was turning into Blue Doom.
A deadly villain, who had every intention of removing Cirron's spine from his body.
It was all happening too fast.
I didn't have enough time to think.
All our friends, our allies were already in position. Crouched and ready to make a move against Cirron and his followers.
And he had followers.
It was probably stupid to hope that the majority of them had been crushed by Blue's building when it had fallen.
Cirron smiled brightly, watching as his followers filed ahead of him.
All their white masks pulled down, covering their faces, as they stood in front him as a barrier in their long white robes.
Their robes rustled as they swept their way closer and closer to us, protecting that weakling bitch behind them.
The air clung to my skin, as sweat trickled down my body.
This was going to be a real fight.
Not easy, and not painless.
I watched as the remaining Firsts clambered off the destruction, looking worse for wear as they watched the scene play out.
There had to be only four of them left that had survived Cirron's original attack.
My eyes then caught sight of Katya.
She was breathing heavily on her hands and knees as she watched the scene play out in front of her.
She looked sick, and bloody, and weak.
I had to get to her.
I had to get her to end this.
But then my eyes drew to the person who was currently making his way back to his feet. Blood gushing from the side of his face as he wobbled to stand up straight.
Corey.
The type of betrayal isn't even describable.
Years.
He'd been playing me for years.
I felt my own body spark to life, feeding off the raw energy that Blue was emitting, and my pure anger that was running through my veins.
All these people wanted was destruction and complete control.
Corey wanted it from me, and Cirron wanted it from Katya.
Hell, Cirron wanted it from the world.
But it ends here.
"It ends here, asshole" Blue growls out, but my body's already quivering.
I won't say that I was aiming ... or trying to shoot a pure shot of heated electricity right into Cirron's body ... but it happened.
And his ass flew like plane.
Blue had just barely side stepped my blast, that had seemed to singe the air with power.
And from the look on his face, he'd have shit to say to me later about it, but before he could even think of cussing my ass out for nearly barbecuing him Cirron's followers rushed us.
One tackled Blue at a horrible speed, that would have immediately broken my neck, sending them both flying back into the grass.
"Oh shi-" suddenly, my body slams into the grass right next to Blue, who had somehow gotten his situation under control and was now choking his attacker out.
I'm a different story.
"Get the fuck off me, flour face!" I screech at my attacker who is currently straddling me, pinning my weak ass down to the ground.
I struggle underneath the heavy asshole, especially as his gloved hands start to trail up towards my throat.
Awesome.
Someone trying to choke me to death would be a new one.
I slip my arm up between us and aim a punch for his throat, quickly causing the little bitch to wheeze.
Before I can even plan my next form of attack a foot comes crashing into my attackers temple sending his ass flying off of me.
Blue quickly hauls me up back to my feet, his eyes raking over my body to make sure I'm not currently dying.
Not yet.
"Nice kick, I'm going to pretend like I didn't hear the sound of a skull caving in" I say up to him, as he smirks down at me.
"I love that sound, reminds me of eating carrots" he smirks.
"You're sick", I'll never eat carrots again.
"We don't have time for you to seduce me, Katty. In case you hadn't noticed, we're in a bit of a fuck puddle at the moment" he sighs looking up at the battle field in front of us.
And he wasn't lying.
Everywhere, people were fighting.
I could see my friends throwing punches, kicks, and powers like their lives depended on it.
And we still looked horribly out numbered.
"This isn't going to end well for us" I finished looking over at Blue, as he analyzed the fighting in front of us.
"No. It won't. We need to end this, and the only way is if we get that bleached bag of balls to his knees" he snapped, his eyes shooting around the area looking for Cirron. "Which would be easier had you not shot his ass twenty feet into the air".
"Would you believe me if I said it was an accident?" I mumbled.
He rolled his eyes, "I wouldn't believe you if you said it was anything else" he shot back.
Great shot of confidence.
"We need to hurry" I quickly reply, watching as Klaus just barely dodged a black arrow that was aimed for his forehead. "You find Cirron, but be careful. Corey upped his powers, he can do way more than we imagined, but I think he injures himself a little every time he uses his new powers, Blue" I finish, my eyes locking on someone who was desperately trying to skirt around the edge of the fighting.
Not on my fucking watch.
Blue yanked my chin back towards him, forcing me to meet his eyes.
"Make it out of this" he demanded, no room for compromise or question.
I nodded hard, "we both are" I snapped back at him.
He needed to believe it.
He nodded slowly, before releasing my chin and taking off into the dark sky, disappearing between the thunder clouds.
I turned back towards where Corey was, my eyes honed in on him desperately trying to stay out of the war he had created.
I had barely taken a step towards him, when pure fire ignited all around, singeing the ground and burning the air.
Nearly everyone dove just in time to feel the ground tremble as that evil ass Godzilla dropped to the ground.
And finally we started to gain some footing on the ground.
"I SHALL DEVOUR YOU ALL!" Tracor roared in pure fucking delight before snapping down and capturing two of Cirron's followers in his mouth, before crunching his blade like teeth down and swallowing their bodies.
The screams that fucking erupted.
I think even Klaus may have screamed.
I didn't have time to stop and think about how blood was smeared everywhere, I had to get to Corey who was on a path that would eventually run him into Katya.
I dove through the crowd of fighting. Dodging and passing all my friends and allies fighting for their lives, but I couldn't stop.
I continued shoving, pushing, dodging, and I won't lie, I sent a kick or two into some groin areas as I passed, until finally I ran straight into Corey's path.
The coward came to a screeching stop, his whole body jerking as he stumbled back, away from me.
"I'm going to give you one chance to make this right. You tell me how to stop Cirron right now" I snap over at his shocked face.
He tried to straighten as he looked at me, but fear and guilt still raced through his body, "I can't do that, Kat" he sighed, his eyes shooting around in panic.
I nod slowly, before taking a huge step forwards, making him lean back in fear, "you either can help, or you sit here and take this beating you so deserve" I hiss.
He blinked at me, before something settled on his face.
He almost seemed to strengthen his resolve, "No, Kat. I won't. This is for the better good" he even tried to deepen his voice.
He barely had time to blink before the back of my hand met the side of his face.
His neck snapped to the side, his whole face burning red as he slowly turned back to look at me, pure shock and dismay in his eyes.
"I'm not who you think I am, Corey. Quite frankly, I don't think you actually know me at all. But when I'm done shoving my foot up your ass, I think you're going to have a pretty good fucking image of who I am. Now, you can give up some information, or you can see what electricity taste like along with this other bitch slap I've got with your name on it" I growled at him.
I can say I expected a lot of things.
Like him trying to hit me.
Maybe even trying to talk his crazy nonsense into my mind.
But for this grown bitch to turn around and start running ... well I was un-fucking-prepared.
"Fucking shit" I hissed before taking off into a heavy and sad jog behind me, trying to catch up to his ass.
I would have rather he throw a fucking punch than this shit.
I speed up, trying to catch up to his lanky ass as he starts climbing back up the rubble of Blue's building.
I lunge forward snatching his ankle from underneath him, sending him rolling down a small hill of debris, before crashing into cement.
"ha-ha bitch!" I scream down at him as he struggles to get his ass back up.
Not today.
I roll sideways overtop of the debris, before belly flopping down on top of Corey's crawling body.
We both drop back down.
It hurt.
It wasn't a genius idea.
It happened.
And I'm probably scared for life.
I quickly scramble to my feet, watching as Corey wheezes, trying to stand up as well.
"You little punk ass! Thought you could out run me? Where the fuck were you going to go, dumbass?" I yell down at him as he struggles to bring air into his lungs as he's hunched over with his hands on his knees.
He slowly stands up straight, showing just how much damage I had done.
When I landed on him, the side of his face must have pressed into the sharp edges of the rubble, completely leaving one side of his face covered in deep bloody cuts.
"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING KATRINA?" he bellowed over at me, his eyes wild as he seemed to see just how fucking insane I could really be.
I narrowed my eyes at him, "I'm kicking your fucking ass bitch, any other questions?" I snapped.
I had obviously snapped a nerve, because he screamed again before launching himself at me, sending us both back down to the ground again.
My back screamed as the sharp rocks dug into it, breaking skin, as Corey wrapped his hands around my throat and squeezed.
Oh .. fuck.
"ALL I EVER DID WAS LOVE YOU!" he bellowed down into my increasingly blue face, as I gasped for air and his grip tightened and tightened.
Guess throttling is the new 'How To Kill Katrina' trend.
I gasp again, air quickly rushing out of my body and Corey pressed his whole weight into my chest and continued to squeeze the life out of me.
I squirmed underneath him, before quickly yanking my elbow back and nailing him in the side of his head.
He rolled off of me, gripping his face as he screamed in pain.
Air rolled back into my body like waves, as I gasped and choked, gripping my now sore neck.
I didn't even think, I just grabbed the closest rock that was about the size of both my fists and nailed Corey's crazy ass right in the back of the head.
He went down immediately, falling face first.
"Loser" I hiss down at his unconscious body, still rubbing my neck.
I slowly stumble back up the small hill we had rolled down and look around.
I needed to find Katya.
She would be able to end this, she needed to end this.
I turn just in time to watch as large bolt of lightning come crashing down on a higher pile of debris a few feet away from me.
Blue's body seems to materialize off the bolt, before he seems to wrap his hand around the pure power, then roll it. Not a second later he's hold a huge ball of sparkling, hissing, electricity.
My eyes follow his own, seeing Cirron standing off to the side of the rubble where a huge dip is.
Blue smirks and without hesitation throws the ball straight for that psychos head.
It should have fried him.
It would have.
Had Katya not crashed into his body at the last second, sending them both flying down off the rubble and rolling into the grass.
Blue growls in pure anger before disappearing into another bolt of lightning.
Gone.
I quickly scramble up onto the high hill top Blue was just on, my heart beating incredibly fast.
Where could he have gone?
I turn and watch as the war rages on behind me, my friends sweating and bleeding and protecting. I turn back towards Cirron and Katya who are completely separated from the fighting, and it looks like the whole world.
They stare at each other as they slowly make their way back to their feet.
Blood is smeared on the side of Katya's face, and Cirron's white robe looks dingy brown with his hair in a complete mess.
But they look completely entranced on one another.
She's right there.
All Katya would have to do, is grip his neck and snap.
Over.
This would all be over.
I can't hear what Cirron whispers to her, only see that his lips move near silently as he mutters something to her.
I know we are fucked when her eyes soften.
Whatever he said, whatever Cirron just muttered had nothing on what Katya said next.
And I heard her loud and clear.
"I forgive you" she states.
Clear as a bell, loud as crashing waves, it nearly rolls over Cirron, sending his body staggering.
I can only watch as something in me drops.
No.
I want to scream at her. Want to bellow down at her.
Ask if she's fucking crazy.
But I can only watch, tight lipped as she lifts her hands to his pale face and brushes her thumbs over his skin.
Can only watch as he leans into her touch and breathes a deep sigh of relief.
His hands trail up her neck, holding her there as he just watches her.
As they just watch each other.
"I love you" he sighs.
And then he closes his eyes.
The lightning hits two feet away.
But its too late.
He's already snapped her neck.
And the world tilts.
