There's a white room, and in it sits a woman with red hair pulled into a bun. A table stretches across the room, with many seats. The woman shuffles we papers, before looking up.

"Oh my God, it's really you!" She squeals, before taking a calming breath. She lifts a hand and gives a short excited wave. "Hello, readers! I'm Dangeroustoken. Long ago, I wrote an update asking for questions to ask some of my characters so I could do a character interview. Recently, I have gotten some and decided not to delay it any longer."

Dangeroustoken gestures around the room.

"So welcome to my first ever character interview. Some of these questions are serious and related to the story, but others are silly and just let you get to know the character better. Now that that's explained. Let's bring in our first character."

Dangeroustoken smiles, winking.

"She's snarky, she's violent, and you all hate her guts to the point of killing her. Let me introduce......Sylvia!"

The door to the room opens, revealing Sylvia in a white knee length dress with a designer purse over her shoulders. Even her sparkly white nails match. Like she was trying to make herself look like an angel.

She struts to the seat across the table from Dangeroustoken, looking in distaste at the chair before scoffing an plopping down.

Dangeroustoken clears her throat, shuffling her papers and finally looking up.

"A lot of the readers have a strong dislike towards you, Sylvia. How do you feel about that?"

Sylvia's gaze hardens, but a tiny smirk forms on her lips

"They can dislike me all they want. It's not like I care. They are after all, feeble humans. I serve one person and one person only. The Darkling High Commander."

"Who exactly is this Darkling High Commander?"

Her smirk grows, a mischievous glint in her snake-like eyes.

"Oh don't worry. You'll find out soon."

Dangeroustoken shivers, burrowing her brow, before continuing.

Okay, now for a fun question. What's the most exciting thing you've done?"

Dangeroustoken's eyes go wide when she reads the question, dread spilling into her featured. Sylvia's smile goes wicked.

"Well you see, the most exciting thing I've ever done is-"

"Wait! Don't answer that! Wrong question, that's for somebody else." Dangeroustoken interrupts, laughing nervously. She fiddles with the papers some more, obviously trying to find another question.

"Ah! Here we are. What's your favorite food?"

Sylvia gives her a blank stare.

"Seriously?"

Dangeroustoken nods. Sylvia sighs, looking irritated at the question.

"If you must know, I have a tendency to consume more grapes than any other food."

"Really?" Dangeroustoken asks, as if surprised the answer wasn't Ashley 's blood or something as vicious.

"Yes. A little fact about Darkling's. We love our fruit. I guarantee any Darkling will name a fruit as their favorite food."

"How interesting......" Dangeroustoken trails off, at a loss for words.

"Oh look at the time." Sylvia says, glancing down at her Rolex watch which says twelve o'clock, even though the clock on the wall says ten o'clock. "I need to run or I'll be late for a hair appointment. I would say it's been fun, but it really hasn't."

Dangeroustoken opens her mouth to protest, but a second later Sylvia disappears into thin air. She stairs blankly at the seat Sylvia was occupying before clenching her hands together.

"This whole time I've been talking to an illusion?!"

She takes a few calming breaths, releasing the grip she had which was crumbling the papers. She opens her eyes and smiles, back at ease.

"He's extremely smart, caring, but also has a horrible sense of style, May I introduce, Dr. Cartwright, otherwise known as Ashely's father."

Sure enough Dr. Cartwright walks in fiddling with his lab coat, looking terribly nervous. He sits down, adjusting his glasses as Dangeroustoken gives him a warm smile.

"Diving right into it, are you happy your experiment with subject Zero is successful or are you having second thoughts because of your daughters involvement?"

He sighs, rubbing his forehead.

"I love Ashley, and I have known for a long time about her plans to save money and leave this island as soon as possible. Then Subject Zero comes and suddenly those plans are thrown out the window. I was happy to see she was finally interested in the work I do, but now, I'm starting to question things. Is this really the best thing for her? Has she become too attached to the Subject?"

Dangeroustoken nods understandingly.

"This question might be hard, but please answer it if you can. Many people are wondering why you continue to do the work Ashley's mother died doing. So why continue? What's your purpose?"

Dr. Cartwright swallows, pain flashing in his eyes.

"Ashley 's mother......Jean....was the best at her job. She was so passionate and even friendly. She always made time to spend with Ashley as a child, even though the work was tough. She made this job exciting. When she never came back from Dalton the island, it broke Ashley 's heart, and even though I wanted to stop, I needed to provide for Ashley. Once I got past the pain, I realized I see snippets of Jean every day in the work I do...and it makes me happy."

Dangeroustoken dabs at her eyes with a tissue that seemed to have appeared out of thin air.

"That is one of the sweetest things I've ever heard." She blows hard into the tissue, before throwing it over her shoulder. "As much as I would like to give you a moment to collect yourself, the interview must go on. It's time to see how interesting you are. If you had to throw a valuable item off of skyscraper, what would it be?"

He ponders for a moment, before his eye light up.

"Oh I know! It would have to be my X4 pentogramic interconnected molecule lab."

Dangeroustoken stares at him, before glancing down at the other fun questions she had waiting for him. Clearing her throat as she crumples that paper, she gives him a pitiful smile.

'I think we're done for today."

He blinks, opening his mouth, but Dangeroustoken is already talking.

"Next from Dr. Cartwright is a recently introduced character who some of you may like."

Dr. Cartwright, looking confused slowly stands up before hesitantly exiting.

"She's a Lightling with the attitude of a Darkling. You know her, you love her, and you think she's crazy, introducing...Becky!"

Becky walks in, going straight for her chair and sitting, combing her fingers through her choppy black hair. When satisfied her hair is in perfect order, she finally looks up and nods.

"So Becky. Since the first chapter that introduced you, people have been curious about your name. Is it short for something?"

"No." She says.

"Do you have a last name?" Dangeroustoken tries again.

"Nope." She replies.

"There must be something." Dangeroustoken says exasperated.

"Well, there is one thing...."Becky trails off.

"Really? What?!"

"One time a person called me Banana."

Dangeroustoken laughs, although it sounds a little forced.

"How funny, now really, what is the story behind your name?"

She shrugs.

"That's it. Someone once got it confused with Banana. They must have had hearing problems. But I don't see what's so special about my name. It's just Becky."

Dangeroustoken shakes her head, looking utterly horrified and depressed.

"There's nothing wrong with the name Becky, but without even a last name that's where it's weird. But I guess we're al unique in some way. When Ashley found you, you looked like you were running from something. What was it?"

Becky, looking suddenly very uncomfortable shifts in her seat.

"Psch. What do you mean? I never run from anyone. In fact, people run to me just so they can look upon this gorgeous face. There's no reason on Earth I would feel the need to run from anything."

"If you say so....." Dangeroustoken trails off. "If you could bring three things to a deserted island, what would you bring?"

"My stuffed animal, pink poodle, food, and a tent."

"Why not just bring a boat?" Dangeroustoken questions, to which Becky answers with a blank stare.

"Moving on....whoops looks like our time is up. It was great meeting you, Becky, I promise you won't die in the book, probably. Anyway, buh-bye!"

Dangeroustoken drags Becky out of her chair and shoves her out the door shutting it with a sigh. Turning to Peter who she forced to be the camera man, she droops her head.

"How many more characters left? My fingers are already exhausted. It would be much easier to write on a computer, but nooooo, I just have to use a stupid Kindle!"

Peter clears his throat. "Two people ma'am."

"And who is the next one? I swear if it's Mrs. Clark I'm going to throw my lemonade cup at you, Peter."

Peter walks over and whispers something into her ear. Dangeroustoken's face suddenly breaks out in huge smile.

"Finally! One of the characters we've all been waiting for!"

Dangeroustoken runs to her seat, sitting while straightening her dress and hair.

"He's the most adorable man-child you've ever seen with a bit of a temper. He's full of heart, hunk, and handsome, introducing.........Zero!"

The doorway opens......and no one's there.

"Um.......Zero? Zero! Come on out!"

Still nothing. Dangeroustoken gestures to Peter, who hesitantly peeps outside. He leans back in and shakes his head.

"Where on Earth could he have gone?" Dangeroustoken mutters, then a light seems to go off.

"Peter." She says calmly. "Go check the waiting room where Ashley is located. If he's there, which I'm sure he is, go ahead and bring them both in. It will make Zero more complying."

He nods and leaves. While waiting, Dangeroustoken takes a sip of lemonade, humming to herself.

A few seconds later the door opens and Ashley walks in, looking calm with a small smile on her face. Trailing right on her toes is Zero, in his full body suit on high alert.

"Hello, Ashely. Zero." She greets them, gesturing to the two chairs, one of them which seems to have magically appeared.

"Hi Dangeroustoken. It's great to finally meet you. I love what your doing with the story." Ashley cheerfully responds.

Dangeroustoken nervously laughs.

"You won't love me much longer..."She mutters.

"What?" Ashley asks.

"I said it's time for our first question! Let's start with something fun. If you both were the last people on Earth what would you do?"

"Mate " Zero says at the exact time Ashley speaks.

"Live in a castle-What did you just say?" She asks, staring blankly at Zero.

"Wow you really need to get your ears checked, Ashley. He said "Mate"."

Ashley opens her mouth, but Dangeroustoken is already moving on.

"Zero this question is for you. Do you like Ashley because she's the first female you laid eyes on in the lab, or is it something else?"

"I never really thought about that." Ashley says, staring at Zero, eager for his answer.

Zero shifts uncomfortably at the question before resigning himself.

"I knew Ashley was the one before I even laid eyes on her. I felt her though our bond."

"Aw." Ashley says, then seems to realize something. "Wait what do you mean by "the one"?"

"Next question. This one for Ashley. How did it feel in the beginning to be the only person Zero could talk to?"

She clears her throat, ready with an answer.

"It felt honestly great, to know that this strange and utterly alone person decided to trust me out of everyone he could've picked. It might've been because of the bond, but it still felt good to be relied on."

"What a boring answer." Dangeroustoken comments. "Moving on! Zero, do you miss Dalton, your home?"

"Yes, but I would rather stay here now than go back."

"And why is that?"

Zero hesitates. "Ashley 's here."

"Hmm. Seems like there's more to it than that, but I guess we'll just have to find out in the story. Ashley, if you could, would you help Zero escape?"

"Definitely. In fact, he kind of already did without my help and now we're trapped in a jungle with no supplies whatsoever."

"Ooh, you sound kind of United. Well cheer up because now we have some more fun questions!"

"Wonderful." Ashley mutters, to which Zero nudges her with his shoulder, giving a little whine to show his guilt.

"If you choked a smurf, what color would it turn?"

Ashley gives an incredulous stare. "What kind of question is that?"

"Blue!" Zero shouts excitedly.

"Ah, ah, ah. But it's already blue. So then what color would it turn?" Dangeroustoken asks, talking to Zero like he's a baby.

"I can't believe you." Ashley scolds at Zero.

"Red, no......purple." Zero guesses excitedly.

"The truth is......even I don't know the answer, but good try! If you had to spend the rest of your life with only one other person, who would it be?"

"Ashie." Zero says immediately, pulling Ashley into his huge form.

She groans, rolling her eyes. "That nickname again? And spending my life with you? Oh God that would be a mess. Even Peter would be better than you."

Ashley was only being sarcastic but the snarl that ripped out of Zero had everything but sarcasm in it.

"Okay i think this concludes the first ever character interview! I think it's time to end things before my cameraman gets killed. Thanks you all so much for giving me some of these question, I loved writing this and especially being a part of it."

"Does realize were still here?" Ashley mutters, absently stroking Zero's arm to calm him down.

"I've been getting so many votes it's been amazing, but it also makes it hard to reply to comments. So if I don't reply, you know why. Keep up the awesome support though, it's super encouraging. I also wanted to say i have to use a kindle to write now, which means slower updates and maybe more grammar errors. Sorry. Vote, comment, and ask more character questions cause I'll have another interview in another few chapters."

Dangeroustoken looks away from the camera to see Ashley and Zero sitting there, staring at her.

"Hey what are you guys still doing here?"

"You mean to tell me," Ashley says, ignoring her words. "That we are being watched and ridiculed all the time?"

"You didn't know that?"

"No!"

"Whoops. Looks like that's all the time for today. Hope you enjoyed and that it satiated your thirst for a few days you word eating demons."

Lots of Love,

Dangeroustoken.
