The shelter home was covered with the flammable liquid and as soon as the fire from the lighter touched the ground, the fire roared in the atmosphere, and everything started burning. The fire was getting caught up soon turning everything on its way into ashes. Many cars which were speeding in the way reached their soon just to witness the burning building. Cries were heard aloud from inside the building. But since the building was located in the outskirts with the barren grounds covering the borders, there was no neighborhood available for help in the area. Keshav already called up the fire brigade in emergency and the fire brigade was already on its way. As soon as Ayan stepped out of his car and witnessed the burning premises, he ran towards the building ignoring his shouting men. His men also followed him for assistance. The main door had already caught fire and a wood log was burning blocking the way to the door. Ayan grabbed a thin wooden log from outside the burning area and hit the main door firmly with the stick. It took him a lot of efforts but since the fire already weakened the door, the door break opened in a few attempts. Without caring about himself, he jumped over the wood log inside the building to find all the victims gathered in the middle of the hall shouting for help and choking up on the smoke caused by the fire. He signaled his men outside to stay over there and help him rescue all the children first. Since all the children were below 10 years and thus, quite young and light, Ayan lifted them one by one and tossed them over the burning wooden log to his men who caught the kids one by one safely. It wasn't exactly a very safe way for rescuing, but it was their only way as the building was soon going to collapse due to the effects of fire and the fire brigade was still not in sight. As he was rescuing the kids, the fire brigade arrived and started helping in the rescue operations. They had proper equipment for the safe rescue and thus the rescue operation became safer and easier and one by one, everyone was being rescued. Soon only Ayan and Sister Samantha were left, and Sister Samantha was coughing badly on the smoke whereas Ayan was also not fine by himself. When he saw no one was left in the hall and the rescuers have arrived to take them away, he shouted at them.

Ayan: No, you guys take the Sister away; I have to go find Myra. She is still in here somewhere.

Rescuer: Sir, this building is about to collapse. We should leave now otherwise you'll get hurt. And you already have caught severe burns. It is not safe anymore to stay here.

Ayan: But everyone hasn't been rescued. You care about your life so much so you can leave first. I'll not leave before finding her.

Rescuer: Sir, even if someone is in there, I don't think that person will still be alive. The building is already completely immersed in fire and smoke. Please come with me and leave

Ayan: cough....cough... How dare you say that? Coughhh... I told you to leave and let me do my work

Sister Samantha caught the conversation while coughing and interfered in between.

Samantha: cough....cough.... child, Myra is not here. They have already taken her. Please come outside. You still have to save her.. cough ...cough....

Saying this, she fainted, and Ayan helped the rescuers to carry her outside. When they reach outside, the fire safety team had already rescued everyone and the medical aid had arrived helping everyone with their burns. Ayan was in bad shape as well. His palms had severe burns and he had burn wounds everywhere. The medical team rushed towards Ayan and sister Samantha to aid them but Ayan stopped them for treating him and moved towards the crowd of rescued victims.

Ayan: cough...cough.. Where is .. cough... Myra?

Sister: We don't know sir, she wasn't with us. And she talked to sister Samantha bout something. We saw her last when she helped all of us to escape the shelter home. Moreover, there was a little girl Ivy with her. She is also not with us. What has happed to them? Please save them sir, Ivy is just a kid and Sister Myra, risked her life to save us all. They may still inside the building.

And as she said this, the whole building collapsed behind them the fire was soon being extinguished by the fire fighters, but the building was in ruins. All the children and nuns were crying, and Ayan was feeling dizzy.

Ayan: Where are you, Myra? Fate has once again given me my chance to be with you, I'll not lose the chance this time. I'll find you. Just wait for me.

And he collapsed. Keshav ran towards him and called for the medical team. Both Sister Samantha and Ayan were injured badly and thus, they were rushed to the hospital. Their wounds were being tended to by the medical team and sedatives were given to them for easing out the procedures. While Ayan was unconscious lying on the hospital bed, Keshav worked day and night to look out for any clues relating to Myra. He had not reached any conclusion with his research and was growing furious of who would have done this within their arm's length. He wasn't able to take the outside help as Ayan was the mafia king and if the information of Mafia king is wounded badly would leak, then they will have to deal with a lot more problems with the rebellions.

After whole 2 days, Ayan regained consciousness and asked for Keshav

Ayan: Keshav, what are the updates. Have you found anything about Myra?

Keshav: Ayan, we searched the whole country, but we haven't found anything. However, we do find that Kareem came back in the country by water 2 days before the accident and was seen at the port on the night of the accident. He may be related to the case, but I wasn't able to ask for the help of gang members who look after the area since you weren't well, and they don't listen to anyone else. Also, Ivy has been safely sent with the other children and nuns to another orphanage which helped gladly. Sister Samantha is still unconscious, and she might be the only person who knew what actually happened that day.

Ayan: And what about Myra? Did you enquire about her with the nuns from orphanage? Is she really my Myra?

Keshav: Yes, she indeed is. I took her picture over there and they confirmed her being the same. However, they don't know much about her anyway as the place is for the people who want to forget their past and devote themselves there. So, they don't ask much about their pasts from each other. But they confirmed that Myra was living there from last 2 years and she was always afraid of going out of the shelter home. She was always immersed in helping others and had a strong attachment with the kids from the shelter home especially Ivy who was just like a daughter to her. Ivy is also crying from last 2 days and has fallen ill. We tried talking to her, but she is quite afraid and said that Myra told her not to talk to anyone regarding anything except you or the police. She isn't even telling anything to other nuns and is hell bent on meeting you.

Ayan: Fine, bring her here and get her treated properly. I'll talk to her here only.

Keshav called someone to bring Ivy over there. Meanwhile Ayan called the people tracking the port areas and asked them about all the information of Kareem and his business on the port 2 days back. He asked Keshav to send a photo of Kareem to those people. Soon Ivy arrived and was escorted to the ward where Ayan was admitted.

Ivy: Ayan uncle, nanna trusted you for saving everyone. Thank you for saving everyone. But where is my nanna? Why isn't she there? Is she with you? Can I please see her?

Ayan: Ivy, Myra needs our help and I promise you that I'll save her. But first you'll have to tell me everything that happened that night. Please don't leave any detail.

Ivy nodded and narrated all the events of that night while crying. As she was about to finish, one of Ayan's men enter the ward to inform him that sister Samantha has also regained consciousness. Despite protests from the medical staff, he removed the IV from his hands and rushed towards her ward.

Ayan: Sister Samantha, I know you need rest, but please tell me what happened that day, Myra is still missing, and we might get some clues if you tell us about that day.

Keshav also rushed behind Ayan and he was shocked to see how Ayan was pleading the nun for the information. He had never seen such a state of Ayan, not even when Myra disappeared 2 years back. Even at that time, Ayan became cold and dangerous, but right now, he seemed to be like a lost child. Sister Samantha narrated them what all happened that day. Ayan was getting worried by every moment as he did not know how to find her. When he turned his back for leaving from there, Sister Samantha stopped him.

Samantha: Wait, child do you know what happened to her 2 years back?

Ayan: You kn..know? C...can y..you pleas...se tell?

Now Ayan bowed in front of her for the truth. He still didn't know what happened that day as they didn't find any evidence or traces except a dead body.

Samantha narrated all the events of 2 years back to him. Myra confided in her before and she felt that Ayan should know everything as only then will he be able to understand everything.

Samantha: Child, I have told you everything. I hope that now, you'll understand her perspective. She was in great pain and had been in great pain for the last 2 years. She used to miss everyone back at her home and she never truly said anything to hate you. She was betrayed, mistrusted and used. She felt cheated and she was helpless. Had not God shown her this path 2 years back, she wouldn't have survived the whole situation. Please find her and be her support. She needs you. If this whole history is right, you and I both know who is behind this. May god be with you...

Hearing everything he had been running after from past 2 years, Ayan slumped on the floor with a loud thud. He felt everything hollow inside him. After all this time, it was ultimately his fault that he wasn't able to save her. Only he was to blame for everything that happened in the past 2 years. She was innocent all this time. What endless ways he had thought of punishing her on finding her, but it turns out that she was also a victim here. She was in pain all these years, and how he had thought that she escaped him knowingly. His tears were flowing down endlessly.

With the help of Keshav, he gets up and get back to his own ward. With a shaking voice, then he opened his mouth to say.

Ayan: Keshav, I did a grave mistake by not killing that leech 2 years back. We must find her and end this once and for all. He has gone too far this time. Trace him back from past 2 years and trace his whereabouts. I have a strong feeling that this Kareem is with him in this façade. Also, search how did he came to know about the whereabouts of Myra even when we didn't have a clue. Something is fishy here.

Keshav took the orders and exited the ward, Ayan then murmured.

Trust me Manav, you will regret being born now, I am coming for my girl, your days are numbered now...
