March 8th. It's my 16th birthday today.

It's supposed to be one of the happiest days of my life. But, turns out as one of the worsts.

Let's start from the this morning, so y'all aren't confused.

8:35am

It's a sunny Thursday morning in Locus, Florida.

Today is also my 16th birthday. Meaning I'm officially 16. Nothing special really but it feels special.

I sit up out of bed and check my phone seeing that Everest texted me.

A cheeky smile forms on my face when seeing he texted me saying 'happy birthday baby! I love you so much and see you later!'

I jump out of bed, getting ready for the day and After a shower and getting dressed into a flowy yellow sun dress.

I go out into the kitchen to see me mom cooking breakfast and my dad at the table reading the paper.

I go to sit down next to my dad and he looks up from his paper. " Good morning dad." I say simply and my mom turns around.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY AVERY!" They both scream at the same time making me cover my ears. "Thanks mom, dad. I love you both." I say and start to eat as my mom places a plate full of food in-front of me.

"So what's the plan for today Ava." My dad asks. Before I can even answer we all look toward the door as we hear a loud motorcycle pull up.

"I'm guessing she's going with Everest." My mom says rolling her eyes. She was never a fan of Everest because of what he is and the fact that he's technically 4 years older than me. (Making him 19.)

Now my dads a different story. He loves Everest. He doesn't care what he does on his own time. All he knows is that he treats me right and makes me happy.

I walk over to the door and open it seeing Everest walk up. "Happy Birthday Beautiful!" He pulls my into a big hug and hen we both share a passionate kiss. Until my mom clears her throat.

We both look at her and my dad who are standing behind me.

"Mrs and Mr. King." Everest greets them, shaking my dads hand.

"how's it been Everest." My dad asks.

"Good just been working on my bike." My mom scoffs and we all look at her.

"How have you been Mrs. King." He asks not even bothering to put his hand out.

"I believe it's non of your business SIN." She spits out sin and just turns around and walks Into the living room.

"MOM! CATHEY!" Me and my dad both yell at her. My dad follows her starting to argue.

I walk out of the door closing it. "I'm sorry about her Everest. You know how she ge-." He cuts me off with another passionate kiss.

"I love you." He whispers against my lips.

"I love you too." I smile and he grabs my hand walking me toward his bike.

"Where are we going?" I ask jumping on the back.

"It's a surprise." He says starting the engine and driving off.

Not to long later we pull up to the club. He turns off his bike and we both hop off.

"Everest what are we doing here?" I ask looking up at him.

"Just hold my hand and close your eyes and Do not open them Avery! I know how you are." I giggle grabbing his hand and close my eyes.

Walking for what seemed forever we finally stopped making me bump into his back.

"Ok open them." I open my eyes excited for what I'm about to see.

I frown immediately. "What-" grabs my hand again and drags me inside the garage. He turns the lights on and I'm immediately stunned at what stands before me.

"No fucking way!" I gasp and walk around it. "No fucking way!" I say again.

I look up at Everest with bright wide eyes. "You like?" He smiles.

"No I'm disappointed. Of course I fucking like it." He takes my arm and places the keys in my hand.



I know what your thinking. Who the fuck drives something so old. Well I do. I wanted one since i was 10 and yellows is my favorite color.

"Where did you even find one?" I ask as I sit on the seat seeing how it feels.

"It wasn't that hard Avery when there's a whole scrap yard of motorcycles in the back." I roll my eyes but quickly focus on the beauty in front of me.

"Can I drive it?" I ask looking up at him with puppy eyes Incase he says no.

"It's yours isn't it?" I start the engine but then quickly realize that I don't even know how to drive one.

"Um Ev I don't know what to do."

"I know. Come on get off." I get off and he wheels my bike outside.

2 hours of trying to learn we finally decided to call it a day.

When I asked Everest when I was gonna go home he said that the surprise wasn't over.

So he made me close my eyes again and we had to walk again. But this time I started to tear up. We were in the middle of the woods with a small tent set up by the lake.



"You did this yourself?" I turn around raising an eyebrow looking at Everest.

"You know it babe." He drags me into the little tent. It's the perfect size for me and him.

"Why a tent?" I giggle a little.

"Well I remember us having the talk of where you want it to be special and so I decided to make it special." He smiles at me sweetly.

"Ev-"

"We don't have to fuck Avery. It's your birthday and I wanted to make it as special as I could. I just figured since you been talking about it so much-"

This time I cut him off and Kiss him deeply. I pull away to catch my breath. "I want to Everest. I've been wanting to for a while. I was just waiting for you because you never really say anything about it."

He looks at me for a long time then kisses me, laying me down on the soft sheets.

As we continue to make out he tugs on my dress. He stops and looks up at me. "Are you sure?" I nod looking into his lust filled eyes.

For my first time it was amazing. Everest made it amazing. Oh man he's amazing. Like really really amazing.

He definitely knows what he was doing. I wince as I try to sit up. I guess all of this amazingness comes at a price.

Everest notices my pain and holds me in his arms rubbing my naked back.

"Happy Birthday Avery." He whispers and kisses my forehead.

" I love you." I sigh

"I love you too."

I jump as his phone starts to ring. He sits up and checks to see who it is.

"It's Austin." He says staring at the small screen.

"We'll answer it! It might be important!" I push him to get up and answer Austin.

As he's on the phone I get dressed a little bit slow as I'm still sore. I finally do and stand up pulling my shoulder length blonde hair into a ponytail.

I watch him shove his phone back into his pocket and walk over to me. "What's wrong?" He runs his hand threw his hair.

"I have to go, club business." I nod and we walk back to his bike.

The whole ride I could feel him shaking with anger so I just tell him to pull over just 2 blocks from my house.

"I'll pick you back up after I'm done and we'll go out to eat." He gives me a quick peck on the lips. "I love you."

"I love you too." I say sleepishly and watch him drive off. I take a slow walk home. It's not that I don't want to be home.

I just want to enjoy the nice summer breeze. It's always hot down here in locus. So, it's really nice to have days like this.

When I walk up the steps to my house I notice a sleek black car I never seen before in the driveway.

I decide to walk in the back door into the kitchen. I cautiously walk in and when I turn into the hall way I see blood splattered everywhere.

I dig out my phone and when I'm about to text Everest I hear my mom screaming. I walk into the living room to see both of them tied up bloody. My moms screaming and my dad isn't moving. I run over to them and try to untie my mom still I'm dragged by my hair and thrown to the ground.

I try to stand up but my head is slammed hard on the wood floor. My vision goes blurry quickly. The next thing I see is black.

Slowly waking up with a pounding headache i try to move but realize I'm tied to a chair next to my mom whose still screaming.

I start trying to untie the rope that has my hands bonded. I try to concentrate on how Everest was showing me that one night. I finally get them untied but hold them together as two men enter the room.

"Damn she's finally awake." The big bald guy with a scar running down his face. Both men have leather jackets on but I know right away that their not Sons.

When the one guy with shaggy dirty blonde hair turns around lighting a cigarette, I read his jacket that says 'Devils Blood'.

"Hey princess." The blonde one says dragging my dads chair so he's sitting across my mom and me.

"shut the fuck up bitch!" The bald one yells at my mom backhanding her hard.

Tears form around my eyes as I can't comprehend what the hell is going on right now.

"Oh don't cry princess, daddy's here." He scotches down put his hand on my thigh moving up. I shake him off but he only grabs it tighter.

My dad finally wakes up looking at me then my mom. The blonde finally lets go of my thigh and walks over to my dad.

"We finally found you Rider." I'm shocked when they call my dad that.

Was my dad a biker? Is this why my mom hated bikers so much and my dad loved them?

I had so many questions that could probably never be answered. i couldn't even help it anymore, hot tears were steaming down my face.

"Just-just let them go! Ok! They have nothing to do with this!" He yells but all they do is laugh.

I slowly take the rope off of my hands and make sure they don't hit the floor. Before I make another move I look around the room. Searching for something.

I spot my old baseball bat in the corner. If I was gonna get it I couldn't hesitate. I look the two men then look at the bat one more time.

I slowly stand and dart for the bat. At this point I'm numb. I grab the bat and charge the the bald one. I use all my strength when I bash him in the back of the head. He turns around ready to charge at me but falls with his eyes rolling in the back of his head.

Before I could even look at the blondie, I'm slammed against the wall with his hands choking me. When I start seeing black and white dots, he throws me on the chair tying my hands together tighter than before.

"You got a feisty one rider. You should be proud." He laughs patting my dad on the shoulder.

My mom somehow gets her gag off and starts scramming bloody murder.

"Oh my fucking god woman!" He turns around and shoots my mom right between her eyes.

It's like everything has been going in Slow motion. A noise comes from me as if my world was just torn apart and I could feel ever single rip.

"She did this to herself Rider."

This time it's me screaming.

Blondie comes over to me next cocking is gun and shoving it in my mouth.

From the corner of my eye I see my dad launch at the blondie pulling him away from me. Knocking him out.

He unties my ropes and yells the at me to run. And that's what I did.

I ran right out the back door and before I hop into his truck I hear a gun shot.

I hop in and speed out of the drive way and head to the one place I know I'll be safe.

As I wipe my tears, I watch as multiple cop cars and ambulances pass by.

20 mins later I sped into the club and I see Austin and Ghost ready to get on their bikes. I turn off the truck and jump out rushing over to them.

They both look at me wide eyed.

"Where is he!" I scream with tears starting to spill again.

Ghost comes over looking for any injuries seeing that I'm covered in blood. I push him away. "Where is he!"

"Avery what the fuck happened!?" Austin asks.

"WHERE IS HE GOD DAMNIT!" I'm screaming this time. I fall to the ground crying not knowing what to do at this point.

"Austin take Avery. I'll be ahead of you." I hear Brute say then getting on his bike driving off.

Austin helps me up and moves my bloodshed hair out of my bloody face.

"You wanna talk about it" he asks and I just shake my head.

"I just want Everest." I say weakly.

He nods and takes me over to his bike helping me on. I hold on to him as we drive off and I immediately calm down as the cool night air hits my face.

EVERESTS POV.

I stand up from the cold metal bench as I see Ghost walk in.

"So what's the deal. Am I getting out or what's happening?!" I'm in a rush to find out the hell is gonna happen to me.

He sighs. "I can't get you out this time Sin. They said you could get life."

Fuck

Fuck

What the fuck am I gonna do!

"There has to be something!" I sit back down pulling my hair.

"You killed a kid Sin. His parent still want you in prison even after they were already told that he was a devils blood." He says frustrated

"What the fuck am I gonna do!" I yell at him.

He pulls my collar threw the bar. "What the fuck your gonna do is take it like a fucking man and a fucking Son you are. Your gonna suck it the fuck up because Austin is almost here with your woman who is covered in fucking blood only wanting you right now!" He pushes me back.

"What?" I say scared out of my fucking mind and not being able to comprehend what he just fucking said.

"The chief just told me. Averys parents were dead on the seen. Along with a Devils blood. Avery's dad used to be a Devils blood when he was younger until he met Avery's mom and had Avery. The devils blood are back in town as you fucking know and I guess they decided to visit their old friend who owed them a shit ton of money!" He yelled back.

Before I can say anything back. I hear the love of my life screaming. I take one more look at Ghost before he turns around and leaves bringing Austin with him.

"Open the sell and uncuff him." The chief orders my guard.

When the guard makes no attempt to move. The chief comes over shaking.

"I said uncuff him god damit!" He yells taking the keys off of the guard unlocking my cell and taking off my cuffs.

"Let her in!" He orders the front desk lady.

And then there she is. In all her beautiful self. Even if she is covered in blood, bruised with blood shot eyes from crying so much.

She runs over to me as I open my arms waiting for her warmth. I know she's crying and as much as I want to cry with her I stay strong.

For the both of us.

I fall the ground with her In my arms cuddling her. We have the whole damn place to our selves and all you can hear is Avery's sobs and my sweet little nothings.

After about her telling me all what happened and crying it out. Eventually she fell asleep in my arms.

"Take her to the club and give her to the girls. Make sure nothing happens to her Austin. You can not leave her side. Not once!" I tell my brother. The only other man I will ever trust with my woman.

Austin takes her from my arms and starts to walk out.

"Everest?!" Avery wakes up and I walk over to her quick.

"It's time Avery to go. Austin's gonna take you and make sure your safe. I love you baby." I kiss her lips one last time.

"No I don't want to leave you." She tries to get out of Austin's arms but he knows not to.

I grab her face. "It's time Avery to put your strong face on. No more crying ok! You have to be strong for yourself because I can't be strong for the both of us when I'm in here." I croak out , not being able to see her being taken from me.

we share one more compassionate kiss.

"I love you Sin. I'll always love you."

And that's when I watched her be carried away in my brothers arms.

March 11th, 2009

Its two days after my birthday. The worst day of my fucking life. I did what Everest told me to do. Be strong for my self and I put a lot of thought of what I was going to do next over these past two days.

After Thursday night I've been staying with my cousin Sarah and her mother.

Right now I'm at my parents funeral. I thought I would cry the day I saw my parents being put 6 feet under.

But, I'm not. I'm smiling just remembering every single moment I've had with them.

I walk away from their caskets and bust out laughing.

Austin comes over to my putting his hand on my shoulder.

"Avery are- are you laughing!?" I look up at him and laugh even harder. "my parents are dead Austin. It's that just fucking crazy!?." I feel my self falling apart. I couldn't do this, I couldn't watch them go away forever.

"Ca-can we l-leave. People are starting to stare." I just can't help it.

We get on his motorcycle and leave the cemetery. I calm down after a bit of time and come back to realization.

"Austin take me to Jacksonville." I tell Austin and he makes a U-turn.

An hour later I jump off of his bike and stand I front of the Jacksonville Federal State Prison.

"You want me to go with you.?" Austin asks.

"No I'm fine. I won't be long." He nods and I walk in the front doors.

After going through security and getting my name tag, I sit here and wait for him to walk threw though's big metal doors.

I lay my head down in my arms.

God why am I here. I shouldn't of even came.

"Avery?" I look up to see Everest in an orange jumpsuit with metal handcuffs around his wrists.

"Everest." I reach my hand over to touch his bit he pulls them off the table.

"What are you doing here!?" He says deeply.

"I wanted to see you Ev." I look everywhere but his eyes. I know he's death staring me right now.

"Bullshit Avery! And you fucking know it!" He yells making people around us stare.

"Everest calm down! I just buried my fucking parents!" I whisper yell.

"Look at me Avery." I look into his eyes and see complete emptiness.

I can feel the tears just welling up but I don't let them fall.

"I'm leaving Everest." I say and get up from the cold metal bench.

"What the fuck do you mean your leaving!" He watches me as I walk over to him.

"I love you Everest. I always will." I whisper and kiss his head.

When I pull away ready to leave he grabs the bottom of my shirt. "Your not leaving me Avery!" He growls pulling me closer.

I look up to see the guard making his way over. I finally get my shirt from his hands ripping it.

"Goodbye Everest." And I walk away.

"AVERY GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE!" He yells but I don't look back, tears already running down my cheeks.

That was the last time I saw Everest Green.

That was the last time I saw Sin.
