Nandini's POV

After that attack everything is normal except that the monster is trying to be nice and that's weird. Because all he was used to was yelling, glaring and gritting teeth but now it's different!

He smiles, grins and also smirks but that's altogether different!

I mean is he really the Mafia Manik Malhotra?

And it's not only me feeling the change, Bhai did too because the other day I heard him talking to Manik about it.

"You really are changing buddy!" Bhai smiled.

"What? It's nothing like that!" Manik replied arrogantly.

I rolled my eyes at his attitude.

"Whatever helps you sleep at night!" Bhai smirked and received a glare from the monster.

After that I don't know what they talked as Navya came and dragged me with her.

About my college I'm not going to college anymore! And as ordered by Manik all my notes were arranged and sent home.

It's not like I loved to go to college because I had no friends there and I have one at home so somewhere I'm happy I get to stay with Navya.

And my love! Alex! He is the best thing ever happened to me.

I so love him!

He is such a baby! Always running around with his teeny weeny paws and barking happily. But he is one stubborn guy. Just like Manik Malhotra! Huh!

He wants what he wants!

I remember once Alex wanted to play with me and I was busy studying. He barked a couple of times to get my attention but I was deep in studying.

He got angry and slept there on the floor spreading his four legs. And when I completed my study I looked at him and laughed out loud seeing his condition.



Can he get more cuter?

Oh yes! He can! He seems more cute and innocent when he is asleep. I always love to stare at him when he falls asleep. Because he just gets ten times cuter.



I can never get enough of him!

And thanks to the monster for gifting me this! Because of him I have this beautiful company with me everytime.

"Rose!" Monster called and I sighed.

I went in his room to see him pissed off! I still haven't found out anything to calm him down when he is angry!

Quietly I went and sat beside him noticing his every move. He was angry at something as his jaw was clenched and his hands were balled into fists.

"I want to fucking kill him!" He growled loudly.

"Manik!" I called softly but he didn't hear.

"You know he fucking killed that innocent girl for not wanting to get sold! And it happened right infront of my eyes! And what did I do? Nothing! Nothing at all!" He yelled in the end.

Over these days I got to know something which actually shocked me.

Manik wasn't really a Mafia! He was but not the bad one! True he killed people but he killed the ones who were evil and cruel.

I remember Bhai told me about whole James thing. He saved so many lives and I was so proud of him!

My trance was broken when I heard something shatter into pieces.

"Manik!" I shouted but he didn't stop.

He kept throwing things and kicking them in anger.

"Manik stop!" I yelled but no use.

Finally being angry I picked up a piece of glass and held it to my wrist.

"Manik stop or else I'll harm myself!" I screamed and he stopped.

He looked at me and then at the piece of glass in my hand. In two long strides he was before me throwing the glass from my hand.

He then furiously cupped my face a little roughly and looked on my eyes.

"No fucking one has the right to hurt you! Not.even.you!" He said in a dangerous voice which sent chills down my spine.

His eyes were red telling me he was still mad and if possible he was even more angry.

"Okay! I'm sorry! Sit!" I made him sit on the bed beside me and he frustratingly sat looking away.

"Manik look at me!" I said but he didn't.

Having no other option I cupped his face and forced him to look at me. He tried to look away but I held his face firmly.

"Don't look away! Manik you can't be always there for everyone. There are bad things happening in this world at many places! You can't reach out for all right? You reach at one place and there's something wrong in the other part of the world. You do the best you can wherever you are and stop blaming yourself for not saving that girl! I know what happened was wrong but if you would've stepped in you would have been killed for being alone right? Then how will you be able to stop other wrong doings when you are not alive? " I asked and he nodded slowly.

"So stop blaming and start thinking of what and how will you save the other lives! Do you undersand?" I asked softly as he stared intently in my eyes.

"You know I would've never thought of either of us to be like this!" He stated.

"Neither have I." I chuckled.

"Can I hug you?" He asked cutely and I wanted to say 'aww' but stopped myself from doing that.

I simply nodded and the next second I was in his arms. I sighed contently weirdly feeling complete. I know it affected him too as he relaxed in the hug.

"Rose!" He whispered which made the hairs on my neck stand in attention.

"Hm?"

"You can help me with this!" He said and I was confused.

"Huh?" I asked.

"Whenever I'm angry all I'll be needing is you and your warmth to calm myself! You are my remedy!" He confessed and I smiled.

"I'll help you with that!" I grinned and he chuckled, the vibration making me shiver.

Soon we broke the hug and he kept staring at me intensely.

"What?" I asked shyly tucking a loose strand behind my ear.

"I was thinking a kiss can calm me down more better!" He smirked and my mouth hung open.

"What?"

"Let's try!" He said and started leaning in and I panicked.

"Manik!" I squeaked and put my hand in between us.



"What? Why are you -?" He stopped.

"Wait did you think I was going to kiss you on your lips? Tch Rose such dirty mind you have! I was talking about kissing on the cheek!" He said dramatically teasing me.

My mouth formed a 'O' as I looked at him.

"I did not expect this from you Rose!" He said looking disappointed shaking his head.

"Manik!" I gritted and taking a pillow I hit him.

"What the fuck! Rose!" He yelled and took another pillow to attack me.



And thus started the pillow fight between us! And in between the fight he pinned me down and started tickling me to which I laughed out loud.



"Manik stop!" I breathed in between my laughs but the monster didn't listen.



Atlast he stopped and laughed falling on the bed holding my hands. I've never seen him so happy! He looks so happy and without any frown lines.



We panted hard and he stared at me intensely and as I turned to look at him he hugged me tightly by pulling me in his arms while smiling throughout.



I wrapped my arms around him more tightly as he kept me close to his heart.

"Thankyou Rose!" He whispered.

"I've never been happy in years! I don't know with you I feel happy! I want to stay happy! With you I simply change! I just want to be Manik with you!" He confessed as his hold got tighter.

My heart swelled with happiness at his confession. I was starting to get to know him better and I was happy about it. He still has not shared his past with me but I'll wait, for him! I know he is not ready yet but I trust him!

"You won't leave me right?" He asked suddenly.

Before I could answer he continued.

"Even if you want to leave me I won't let you! You are trapped with me for a lifetime!" He said arrogantly and I rolled my eyes at his answer.

Monster alert!

"Now Manik let me go!" I started struggling to get out of his hold.

"What did I just say about not letting you go!" He growled possessively gripping my waist tight.

"Ugh. Manik I'm not saying that! Let me go now! I want to go to study!" I cleared and he let go.

"When are you going to come back in this room?" He asked as I was going to open the door.

"I don't know!" I replied honestly and heard him sigh.

After that I got to my room and started studying for my exams which were going to be held next week in the mansion itself.

And the best thing - he got me a female supervisor! Yay me! (note the sarcasm)

Can this guy get any more irritating? But he's cute!

As I was studying Navya came and sat beside me. I looked at her and she looked sad.

"What happened?" I asked worriedly.

"There is no one to talk to me! Cabir has no time for me! Manik never talks to me! Alex is always running around and you! Even you don't have time for me. No one loves me anymore!" She sniffed and I sighed.

"Navya it's nothing like that! You know I love you the most right?" I asked and she nodded cutely.

"Then? I know I'm not able to give you time and I'm sorry for that but I'm helpless! My exams are coming and you know I want to pass with good grades!" I explained wiping her tears while she looked at me sniffing.

"And Bhai, you know he loves you so much! He always asks me to take care of you when he isn't around. And whenever he is out he calls you every 10 minutes right?" She nodded immediately.

"So how can you so that no one loves you? Hm?" I asked and just then Alex came running in.

He stopped and looked at Navya who was wiping her tears.

"Alex why don't you play with Navya? See she is so upset!" I said and he looked at Navya with his innocent eyes before going to her.

He stood on his back legs and plopped his head on the study table while resting his front legs on the table for support. He looked at Navya innocently making sounds telling her that he was sorry.



"Aww Alex! It's okay!" Navya cooed taking him in his arms.

"And Nandini?" She called.

"What about Manik?" She asked teasingly.

"What about him?" I asked as I looked in my book.

"You explained about everyone then why not about him?"

"Because I still can't understand both of yours equation!" I replied with a chuckle and she pouted.

"He is annoying!" She complained.

"I know!" I replied reading my notes.

"And he -!"

"And he is an irritating monster! I know Navya!" I completed for her.

"Who is an irritating monster?!" Manik asked leaning on the door and my eyes widened as I looked at Navya who just mouthed me 'busted'.
