Waking up the next morning, I tiredly dragged myself to go shower to hopefully wake myself up.

Today I had a lot of things to do so I quickly showered and blow-dried my hair, giving it more volume then it normally had. Slipping on an orange and white poker dotted sundress and deciding to take time to make myself a little girlier, I add a light layer of foundation, a little bronzer to showcase my high cheekbones and swiped a little mascara and lip-gloss on.

"Ava." Grayson's tired voice drifted through my door.

"What's up?" I asked swigging my door open.

"I was just checking if you were up." He said, yawning.

"We're leaving soon, go get dressed." I said, pushing him to his bedroom.

Running back into my room, I quickly slip my sandals on and grab my purse before heading downstairs to make myself breakfast.

"Ready?" I asked Grayson as I finished hanging a load of clothes on the washing line.

"Yup." He said popping the p.

Grabbing my things, we walk out of the house, the hot sun blinding.

"Like any of the girls at school?" I wiggled my eyebrow at my brother as we pulled into the mall parking lot.

"There's this girl in my history class, no one really talks to her which I don't understand why because she's actually really funny, I like her but we'll see." He said, running his fingers through his hair.

"I guess we will." I laughed locking the doors to my car and slinging the chain to my purse over my shoulder.

"Here's some money, ring me when you want to be picked up or something." I said handing over some cash.

"Thank you Av, see you soon." He said, kissing my cheek and running off.

A couple of hours passed and I finished handling the important stuff regarding our bills and paying them all in a months advance so I wouldn't have to worry about it for another couple of weeks.

I walked around the mall looking at different kinds of shops, it was pretty crowded but what do you expect on a Saturday. I saw a lot of kids I recognized from school looking around at stores too or hanging out with their friends or families.

A loud whale like cry caught my attention as I stood in a huge crowd near the food court, turning I looked around for the crying but couldn't see anything till something wet wrapped itself around my legs.

"Can you help me find my big brother?" A little girl cried, clinging to my legs, her tears rolling down her chubby cheeks.

"Hi, Of course, come with me." I said, my heart breaking at her tear stained cheeks.

"My brother said I couldn't talk to strangers." She said, wiping at her eyes.

"My names Ava, what's yours?" I asked getting on my knees to be a little closer to her level.

"My names Beau." She said pointing to her two bows tied around her pigtails, tears falling silently, her eyes looked so familiar I couldn't put my finger on where I'd seen them before.

"See we aren't strangers anymore, now come on let's go sit and wait over there where there aren't so many people." I said holding my hand out to her and pointing to a table outside of a small café.

"Are you really going to help me?" She asked, climbing onto my lap.

My heart ached at her situation; I can't imagine how she's feeling.

"I promise to try my best." I held my pinky out to her.

She giggled wrapping her little one around mine.

"So, what's your brothers name?" I asked, smoothing out her little designer dress.

"His names, Sa-ade." She said struggling to pronounce it.

"Do you have a nickname for him?" I asked trying to make her feel better.

"He doesn't like me telling people because it sounds too girly." She blushed, brushing her dark hair from her face.

"Do you think you could spell his name for me?" I knew it was a long shot but I had to try.

Handing her a paper and pen from my purse, I watch her scribble a wonky Z and huffing in frustration.

"What is the matter?" I asked, her eyes filling back up with tears.

"I dunno know to spe-spell it." She said with a hiccup, fresh tears rolling down her face again.

"No, no, no don't cry, that's okay, we will figure it out." I cooed, rubbing circles on her back.

She soon calmed down and started playing with my hair, thankful it distracted her a little bit as I texted Grayson that I was going to be a little long.

Don't worry big sis, I'll catch a ride with my friends, see you at home x

-Grayson.

"Okay, here is what we will do." I said, shoving my phone into my purse and retying her pigtails so the loose hair is out of her face.

"We will wait here for another couple of minutes to see if he'll come passed here looking for you, once a couple of minutes is up and he hasn't walked by, me and you will go walking around for him, does that sound alright to you?" I asked as she ran her little fingers through my hair.

"Okay." She said, patting my shoulder.

"In the meantime, would you like to play a game?" I asked her as I watched people walked by.

She nodded excitingly, "Yes please." She jumped on my lap.

"Okay, so I'll ask you a question and you have to answer and then you ask me and I will answer." I explained, staring down at her.

"Got it." She gave me thumbs up, tapping her small ballerina shoes together.

"How old are you?" I asked first.

She giggled holding up two fingers and then shouted 'my turn'.

"How old are you?" She laughed, playing with the ruffles on my dress.

"I'm 17." I told her, tickling her tummy.

She laughed, trying to push my hand away.

"My brother is that much too." She said, counting to 17.

"Can you tell me what he looks like?" I asked, turning back to the crowd.

"Well, he has eyes like me but bigger, his hair has cooties because all boys have cooties." She said making a face.

I laughed along with her as she carried on.

"He's really tall and he has a lot of boyfriends." She giggled.

We continued playing the game but her brother never showed. I walked around with her for another twenty minutes but we still couldn't find her brother. Beau started getting hungry so we went back to the food court and I brought us something to eat. The longer I couldn't find her brother the more my heart ached. Beau was getting tired so I carried her around in my arms and she drifted to sleep. I must have walked around the huge mall five times before I finally gave up and rested with her still in my arms, snoring softly.

Loud laughing echoed through the now empty food court, turning in the seat I sat in. Zade and his six's idiot of friends came waltzing through the empty mall.

I put two and two together and Beaus description of her brother matched Zade to a T, from the first letter of his name all the way to what he wore today.

Walking towards them carefully not wanting to wake Beau. I was furious to say the least.

Beau stirred in my arms resting her fingers back into my hair.

Zade and them started laughing, waking her.

"Zaee." She yelled, recognizing her brother's laugh, but she was still half asleep, drifting in and out.

"Beau?" Zade stormed towards us snatching her out of my arms, looking at me like I had stolen her.

"What the fuck are you doing with my sister?" He yelled as she cried out, her little hands trying to grab out to me.

"Take her." I seethed through clenched teeth, pointing at Blaine. Furious at the tone and words Zade used around his baby sister.

Blaine grabbed her little body in a hurry and tried comforting her.

Pulling Zade out of the closes doors I could find I yelled my frustration at him.

"WHAT THE FUCK WAS I DOING WITH YOUR SISTER? I'VE BEEN LOOKING AROUND FOR SOMEONE WITH BIG GREY EYES LIKE HER AND A TALL BOY WITH COOTIES FOR THE PAST 5 HOURS, THAT IS WHAT THE FUCK I WAS DOING WITH HER!" I screamed, tears rolling down my own face.

The whole situation hit home, I wish someone came looking for me and my brother after the car crash but no one did, like Zade, he never came looking for his little sister.

He stared at me, his anger diminishing.

"Don't point the finger at me, you're lucky I was the one who found her, something bad could have happened to her and you had the cheek to blame anyone else but yourself." I said, wiping at my face.

Straightening myself up, I walked back into the mall where Beau was crying and calling out for me, I probably looked crazy with my puffy eyes and by the look on everyone's face, I was guessing they heard loud and clear what I had just yelled at Zade but I didn't care.

"Av." She cried, her little arms hitting at Kenna's face.

"Hey, it's okay." I cooed, taking her from Kennas' arms carefully, it looked like they played parcel parcel with her since she wasn't in Blaine's arms anymore.

"I found your brother like I promised." I sniffled, rubbing soothing circles into her back as she ran her little fingers in my hair.

She finally fell back asleep after a couple of minutes, her hands with a death grip in my hair. Zade and the rest watched in silence as I put her back to sleep.

Handing her back to Zade and carefully pulling her little hands from my hair, I rubbed circles on her chubby legs soothing her as she stirred in his arms.

"Ava." Zade called out quietly, not wanting to wake her.

"No." I said, turning my back and walking out.
