So here is the humongous chapter of the book that I started with just three chapters in my mind to begin with!

This one's for those who feel motivated and pumped up for doing a workout or atleast taking their ass off and moving around, after reading my updates. You guys have a lot of demo coming up.

This one's also for those who have always wondered what exactly is the fuss about Colonel James and Pushups. Well not exactly the whole fuss, but you'll get a glimpse atleast. 😉

************************************ Commenting on the parts you like gives a great feeling to the writer, trust me. So feel free to express.

JANE'S POV :

Mr. Kadner, officer Roshesh and Kyra left today. They came as a surprise, I'm sure, to everyone here.

Killer underwent all that grinding, and wasn't given much rest the next day. He got an 8 mile run added to his daily routine just because Kyra performed better than him once.

Imagine his state had she done that more than just once. He'd stab her the next chance he would get.

But the happiest person? Me. Martins promised to call me daily and take me out every week. He wanted to do that on a daily basis, but one 'no' from uncle and he was just 'okay sir'.

But I can meet him whenever I want, and that is great, isn't it? It's funny how I found love where and when I least expected it to be.

"You're glowing!" Ren has not missed a single opportunity to turn my cheeks red.

"Am I? Great!" I wink at her and she makes a face.

"Stop thinking about him! There are so many other people you need to think about!"

"Like?" "Erm.. Your father?"

"He rings me up every Sunday. He's been busy these days so, called after 10 days. He's doing fine, said he's working on a project that might get over in two months tops." "Does he know about Major Philip?" Ren asked me excited.

"Yep he does. Apparently Uncle told him on day 1 itself." "Damn! Colonel needs to chill!"

"He won't, babe. He's looking after someone else's daughter. The heck he'll inform my dad before somebody even thinks of approaching me. I won't blame him for that. And since Dad is cool about it, I really don't mind. I'm just happy that things are at peace." "I'm so happy for you!" She came and hugged me tight.

"Which other persons you were talking about?" "Your best bud?"

Damn it! I forgot him completely! "Oh fudge, Ren." "You forgot." She caught me.

"I didn't." I lied on her face. "Liar! I'll tell him!"

"You'll tell no such thing to him. He'll roast my ears. Besides, he'll be hurt. Please Ren, you pretty woman!" "Try better." she said blowing air on her finger nails.

Bitch. "You warrior and queen of the earth! Oh save me your highness!" "Are you complimenting me or mocking me?"

Wow, Ren! So smart! "Whatever you think is right. Now tell me how to reach Nick? His phone got seized, right?"

"Yep. He called on army line- indirectly asked Wills if Colonel agreed to talk to Dan." "Oh. Uncle agreed. But none of us know whether he actually talked to Dan or anyone at the HQ, to relieve Nick from that prison."

"He was supposed to go meet Dan at the HQ. But Kadner sir came and..." "I wonder how Nick's doing there. I haven't heard from him for like two weeks!"

"Yeah. No news. We don't even know whether he went for the mission or he's still stuck there." "I'm sure he's still there."

"Uncle needs to think about his sons." I said feeling pity for both Nick and Killer.

WILLS' POV :

"And here I thought being an instructor ensured that you stay punctual, officer. How much time did I give you to report?"

"Eight minutes, Instructor." "And I waited for eight minutes after your eight minutes got over."

I didn't have anything to say. Eight minutes were impossible to report back with a cycle over my head.

"Am I going to get any explanation?" His voice meant business.

"Negative, sir." "You know what to do then -" he pointed towards the field "-start running."

I lifted the cycle up in air and took off. After last night's schedule, I thought I'll get one or two days to relieve the cramps I developed in my arms. But I should have expected the reality.

"One more time those elbows bend, and you won't like what happens next." Kelly threatened me from far end and I locked my elbows straight. He's in beast mode now, and father has given him a signed permit, warned him rather, to go hard.

I must have dragged my feet and covered six rounds when I started to feel my arms weighing a hundred ton. It was taking everything in me to keep them high up, but I knew they'll be going down soon.

And just when I thought I couldn't hold them up straight anymore, I brought the heavy weighing bicycle a little down. I would have given barely three seconds of relief to my biceps when I heard Kelly's booming "Officer, fall back to point zero."

I lifted the damn thing up again, not wanting to piss him off further. Running right through the middle of the field to reach my starting point in minimum time, I went and stood straight, breathless.

"I told you, you will not like what happens next. Put it down." I kept the bicycle down carefully and stood back straight.

"How many variations of Pushups have you been taught till date?" "Over twenty." I said randomly guessing.

"Drop. Ten each." What?! Two hundred?!

"And how many types of crunches?" "Over 10." I replied almost crying.

"Alternate both in sets of ten each. Start." I didn't understand how that's going to be something special that I'm not going to like. I am not liking it since the moment Instructor Kelly has stepped in this academy.

"Repeat the sequence of crunches when it gets over. And continue your sequence of Pushups. Keep your mind working as actively as your arms. You might want to remember the whole sequence when Colonel asks you." Holy fuck!

This is mind fucking! The whole sequence is going to be twisted. And if I miss a single type of set he taught me, I'm gone. I don't like this at all, Kelly!

"Permission to speak?" He may be one of the cadets' instructors and I may be a Junior training officer, but he is here to own my ass more than the cadets. I have all the right to tell him to fuck off, but knowing who called him here and why - is enough to not blurt those words out.

"Denied. Get on the job." Damn it. Father must have given him good doses that he's being so stern with me.

Imagine if he comes to know about it, then I'll be dead. Who am I kidding? He always gets news of such things. I'm surprised it's been so long already. Usually I get served within a day or two of my mistakes.

And this - wasn't a mistake - it was a fight I lost. This news is enough for him to rain fires on me. It's scary to imagine that scenario. But shouldn't it be me he hears it from, instead of others? Yes he'll be pissed, beyond belief. But I can avoid that barely half a percent screwing by not letting him get the news through his birds. Moreover, I've learnt enough lessons to remember that I dare not hide things from him.

Yes. I'll tell him. But what about Super Boss? Flynn? Kelly? All of them will get burns!

No. I'll take full responsibility of the act. I'll not let him punish anyone other than just me.

I was on 15th set when my shoulders gave away. I fell with my face on the ground and my fried abs a few inches above the ground.

"Instructor Kelly." Damn it!

I picked my broken bolts and nuts, got up and stood in attention. You should give a warning before you join the party, father.

"So is there any change in the routine? Or he's still lacking?" He said looking at me.

Wait till you hear about it, sir. There won't be any scope of lacking there after.

"I've restarted with the basics, sir - Pushups and crunches. He's showing me how many types of sets does he know." Kelly, you had to do this, right?

"Really? Well the list is too long! I've made him do so many types over these years!" Please don't say it. Please don't say it.

"He said he knows barely twenty types of Pushups. And ten types of crunches." You said it!

Colonel turned towards with me a displeased look. "Since when did you start lying, Officer?"

I looked down in shame. I blurted the first figure that came to my mind without even realising that this moment might come.

"Or may be he is telling truth. Let him complete his twenty, then teach him a few more. After you think he's learnt enough, send him to me. I'll teach the remaining and give a revision of what all he forgot." "Yes sir."

He looked at me from head to toe. I held my breath before I give away my fear. Colonel James and Pushups is not a good combo, specially when he has ordered a separate session for it.

Damn I'll have to delay my confession for a few days. My shoulders won't be able to pay the price. All I can think about right now is to survive the session I'm going to have with him soon.

I saluted when he left and looked at Kelly like a kid would look at the person who snatched his candy from his hand.

"You want to say something, sir?" Even worse!

"Shall I continue with my counts, instructor?" I changed the curse words.

"Sure." He smirked and I understood that he's taking revenge for having to lie for me.

Just a few days, Kelly. Then you'll be free of this burden.

************************************

"Twenty Four? That's it?" Father could never be more disappointed in me. "Yes sir." I said as I looked down.

"Drop. Name, push five, get up, drop again and repeat the sequence. Let me see what all did you miss."

Ah. Pushups with burpees, nice. Shit I didn't include that in my list! Fuck!

He got busy in his paperwork while I got on the job. My shoulders were already throbbing.

I dropped down and tried to start with the basic. Guess who was in no mood to take it slow?

"Knee Push-" "Up!" he almost shouted.

I got up before I could even name my first set. "You want me to give you a hairband to tie your ponytail too?" I didn't know how to answer that question. So I just looked down.

"Did you ever make Jane do knee Pushups? She's a lady too." "Negative sir."

"Then how dare you count that version in your own workout? Next time you try to go easy on yourself in front of me, I'll make you wear pink clothes and stand next to the field as cheerleader. Got it?" "Yes sir." Oh the humiliation I have to face just to name a workout usually reserved for women.

"Now drop and do only what you've been taught to become a man." Without a reply I dropped back down. It's going to be another rough night.

Before I could start the session, I heard a sound I didn't want. There was a knock on his door. 'Come in.'

"Good evening, sir." A very good evening at 11 in the night, Instructor Kelly! Thanks to you I'll soon know how much dirt is there under his table.

"The reports, sir." My heart sank down or up, I couldn't decide. Those were the CHA documents in his hands which was supposed to be filled by instructors and Training officers for each Cadet in detail. Nick had filled once and submitted to me for additional points. I had submitted it further only to get an earful as to how casual the remarks were. I was given time till today to fill it fresh. And guess what did I do? DID NOT COMPLETE IT. Thanks to back to back commitments.

It's only a matter of few minutes when he'll realise that officer remarks are missing. And then, I don't know what will happen.

Nevertheless, I got on my job.

"Instructor Kelly, now he'll do all the sets he knows. Or else I'll use my own methods to remind or teach him. Please check how many did he hide from you." "Yes sir."

"Start, Wills."

What a nice timing, Instructor Kelly. Looks like you're following me just to push me into more trouble.

I took a few steps behind not to spoil his carpet with my sweat - that's the last thing I want to do.

"Standard"

"One arm" That 'hmm' meant he expected it to be the first. Come on, Sir! I know they are your favourite but we both know this is going to be a long session. So let's build it gradually. I can't kill my arms in first ten minutes.

"One leg"

"Hand Jumps"

"Knuckle" Or should I say 'your second favourite'?

"Staggered"

"One arm knuckled"

"One arm raised" I absolutely hate these!

"Knee to elbow"

"Knee to chest"

"Wide grip"

"Diamond"

"Staggered hand jumps"

"Side-to-side" Another Killer.

"Jackknife"

"Full body jumps"

"Plank-" before I could even finish the word, I heard his 'sixty seconds' Dammit. Each time I go down, I'll have to pause and wait for sixty seconds before I can come back up. Thank god it's just five sets of each.

"Superman"

"Jumps with one clap" What? You thought I'll do all the jumps back to back? Are you stupid?

"T plank-" 'Thirty seconds' oh thank you father!

"One leg one arm"

"Hand tap"

"Shoulder tap" Yeah, I reserved a few easier ones for later.

"Thigh tap"

"Reverse planche" Ah here comes the cruel biceps grinder. As soon as I turn my hands towards my feet, my eyes water, even though it's just five that I have to push.

"Floor Triceps extension"

"Toe tap"

"Spiderman"

"X taps" These are the worst taps!

"Pike"

"Archer"

I finished and stood up. Immediately I regretted my decision. I knew a few more and now he'll remind me the same.

"Thirty one if I'm not wrong?" "Yes sir" I answered controlling my breath.

He turned to Kelly and both of them shared a look. I knew I was gone at that moment.

"First, Drop and push thirty one Corkscrew for lying to your instructor." Ah my punishments are going to be served in the form of Pushups too.

I dropped and drilled my upper body cursing my brain to forget this type.

I completed the count and stayed on all four. "Thirty one Corkscrew Pushups completed sir. I won't lie to my instructor again."

"That's what I think too. Now thirty one Aztec for thinking that you are the best out there and nobody can beat you."

I hate the marines to raise the training level so high! But that's also because they are the best out there. Not me. A girl came from nowhere and beat me. I'm definitely not the best.

"Thirty one Aztec Pushups completed, sir. I'll always push my maximum and give my best without being overconfident, sir."

"That sounds better. You remember a few more that you want to do in sets of ten? Or you want me to remind you by doing in sets of fifty?"

"Few more myself, sir." "Go ahead. The smaller you make the list for me, the better it will be for you."

"Yes sir. Pushups with Burpees."

"Shuttle"

"Around the World"

"Hollow Body"

"Reverse Elbow"

"Knuckle Jumps"

"Travelling"

"That makes it thirty eight. Now there's one set that you forgot that personally offended me. Can you guess?"

"Handstand Pushups, sir." Fuck! Those darn post-pushup giddy scenes! How could I forget those?

"So either you thought you'll die if you do twenty Handstand Pushups, or you forgot how much efforts you have to put in to do a single count." Both are not good options to choose from.

I wanted to say I forgot to include that in my list but instead I could only say "I forgot -" "Help me remind you then. On your hands on the carpet. Keep pushing till you are stopped." He said heartlessly. But oh thank you lord for thinking about my hands and giving some cushion.

I stood upside down and prayed for him to say 'stop' soon.

What I heard instead was something I didn't want to hear.

"Why are the Training officer's remarks pages not filled?" Father asked Kelly and my heart stopped beating.

"The documents were on his table since morning." Thanks a lot Kelly! I love you with each passing moment!

"Do you have an explanation, officer?" Father asked me disgustingly.

"Negative, sir." Great job, Wills. Congrats, you just said yes to a sweet screwing.

"Off my carpet. Knuckles. Continue pushing." There goes my night. I just did knuckle jumps. The sting hasn't gone yet. But who am I to complain?

"I don't cut any slack when it comes to training and you know that best. These documents show how each Cadet is going on with his training, yet you paid no heed to it, despite of knowing that today was the last day to submit it. You are developing quite some guts, aren't you?"

You know you're dead when you hear these words.

"Negative, sir." It's funny how I've said negative more times than yes sir.

"You should try your best not to make me angry, Wills. You know what happens then. I know it's not your job and in Nick's absence, all the paperwork has fallen on your head. But it does NOT give you any excuse to not do it. This is the last time I'm hearing that you did not take the boys seriously. Am I absolutely clear or do you need bleeding knuckles to prove that?"

"Crystal clear, sir." Anything for unasked forgiveness!

"Up." I got up with a giddy head.

"I want them complete before the morning run tomorrow." He tapped on the papers with his index finger and I felt each bump on my chest.

"It will be done, sir." Sweet dreams, sleep. We'll meet tomorrow hopefully.

He handed the documents back to Kelly.

"How is it going on with the cadets? Specially the final year boys? They pass out in four months, right?" Sir asked Kelly thankfully giving me a few moments of rest and peaceful breathing.

"Yes sir. The batch is overall good. Good moves and strength to keep the enemy on hold with bare hands, non ammo and ammo weapons. That means they've been taught fight and defense well."

"Who took those sessions and who supervised them, Wills?" "Instructor Richard took the sessions, sir. Major Nick used to supervise them mostly."

He nodded slowly. "It has been a rough year. We have barely any strength of officers. You two had to look after everything. I'm trying to get more Junior training officers this batch onwards."

I didn't know whether to be happy or sad. If that happens Nick will get a few extra hours of sleep everyday. But as far as I'm concerned, I'll be free to get my ass kicked.

"We haven't forwarded any names for Class-I agent training for last six batches. I didn't find anyone good enough. You have anyone to nominate this time, Kelly?"

"Yes sir. Their Squad Commander is a good option."

"Yes. Cadet Ethan. He has the potential. What do you say, Wills?"

"He is a deserving candidate, sir - keeps a check on his anger and performs well under pressure. His interest in weapons and military technology will really help him. Weapon use and fighting skills need some improvement but he sure has a chance to make up to the final training."

"Alright. I'll supervise a few sessions myself. You direct the instructors accordingly. Need not say, their passing out drill needs to be top notch. Start their practice." "Yes sir."

"What about Jane? You are continuing her practice, right?" Oh this girl will be the death of me!

"Negative, Sir." "So you are not looking after the boys, not after Jane, not after your own training. What exactly are you doing in this Academy, officer? You want to start reporting me with minute-record-cycle every night?"

"Negative, sir. I'll work properly here onwards." "This meeting has to be one of the top entries of me letting go of someone despite so many goof ups. Don't test my patience, Wills. I'm telling you this for the last time."

"Yes sir." I say barely controlling my gulp.

Father then turned to Kelly and said something I didn't expect. "Cut him loose till Nick is back. I'll go talk to Dan and General tomorrow. Once he is back, I'll make his schedule myself. Both of you will give me daily sitreps then." "Yes sir."

I was still feeling giddy after the handstands but as soon as my brain cells settled back into position, I realised that this night could have stretched for a few more hours. There are so many more sets he knows. All these excluding the wall and gym equipments - just you and the floor and innumerable combinations and types. I just got lucky.

We've heard rumours that he knows over hundred different modifications of the standard Pushup. The count doubles if he includes any wall or table or a freaking platform. And hell it triples if he enters Gym.

And that would have been a disaster because whole of my upper body is in shreds. I don't think I can contract another muscle, forget doing a single more pushup.

"How much is 24 less 38, Major Wills?" "Fourteen sir."

"Instructor Kelly, you have full liberty to engrave the count in his mind, in whichever way you want. Next time onwards, he'll answer your questions after thinking twice." "I'll see to it, sir."

Come on you guys! I just said the first number that came to my mind! Oh! That's exactly what I'm not supposed to be doing. Darn it.

"You are dismissed, Instructor." Kelly saluted and left. Though I knew that there won't be anymore Pushups now, but one can never say what goes through his mind.

"You hid something from me again?" Father said and my eyes blew wide.

"I.. Sir.. I didn't.." What the heck? What am I supposed to say?

"I didn't want to, sir. Actually-" "Your answer should be a yes or a no."

"Yes sir." I said with my eyes on the floor.

"Does it involve Kadner too?" How the hell does he get it bang on?

"Yes sir." "I knew it. He won't break a sweat for fun. Who else was involved?"

"Sir please listen to-" "I just asked the names, Wills."

"Instructor Kelly..." "And?"

"I was responsible for everything, sir. It is nobody's fault but me."

He continued to glare at me and picked up his phone. "I want you in my office in ten. You need a reminder of things you're not supposed to be doing."

What?! Who is that?

.

"Yes he's here. He has taken full responsibility and he's going to regret it. Also, he won't take your name. So I thought I should call you myself." Who is he talking to? .

"Stop defending each other, both of you! I'll decide what's to be done after I talk to you. Flynn, you might want to brief me rightaway to keep your boy in one piece till you arrive." Shit!

Flynn said something that he patiently listened to and right after that father kept his receiver down with a bang. The look that followed almost killed me.

"Wills, there are a few men you should never mess up with. Flynn is one of them. You try to blackmail him again, and I'll turn your face black in no time. Got it?" "Yes sir."

"He is a man of principles. He has earned the respect and trust of everyone living within the boundaries of this Academy and beyond. Don't become a reason to break it, you won't be able to live with it." "I apologise for my mistake, sir. I never knew it was this serious. I'll never repeat it."

"Remember that. And Kelly letting you loose doesn't mean you don't stay active. Also, I don't care how you'll manage everything, but I want daily Cadet reports as per format on my table right on time, over and above all other reports. And you WILL practice with Jane everyday. She has learnt good skills but that doesn't mean you leave her." "Yes sir."

"And this also doesn't mean that you go all Killer on her. Understood?" "Yes sir."

"Finish these documents mid squat. I don't want any corrections or overwritings or errors. We meet tomorrow at 0500 hours. Out." I saluted, turned around and marched out.

As soon as I came out, I saw Kelly waiting outside.

"I just escaped the Colonel-James-Pushup tornado. You kill me and revive me, but never push me into this, ever again. Okay Instructor Kelly?"

He nodded a yes and I accepted his apology. He saw how things escalated inside father's office just because he wanted to pull my leg.

Just then Flynn came walking at a fast pace.

"You royal fool! What did you tell him?" Flynn asked me concerned.

"Nothing. He came to know that I'm hiding something from him." "Were you planning on telling him everything yourself?"

How do these people come to know such things? "This afternoon, yes. But I changed my decision in the evening."

"Great!" Kelly passed the remark.

"Oh god. He's in a mood to hear?" Flynn sounded scared of Father.

"I don't think so. He said he'll turn me black the next time I try to blackmail you." Flynn laughed. I really didn't know what to feel. Amused? Surprised? Scared? Or crazy?

"That's even worse. Alright, you two, leave. I'll handle him. Don't worry he'll not harm anyone."

"Including you?" It was my turn to ask. I was feeling really bad to scoop in Flynn because of my stupidity.

"Including me, Wills. He won't do anything to me. Don't worry. Go do your work." How is this man so confident about my hell of a father?

************************************

JANE'S POV :

Ren and I were sitting peacefully in the mess. My pager rings at 1130 in the night and immediately the hair on my arms rise. "Good evening, sir." He hasn't called me for practicing for past one week.

"0630 hours tomorrow on field. Complete your run and stretching before reporting." "Okay sir-"

He cut the call before I could even finish speaking.

Complete your run and stretching? He doesn't want that chance to humiliate me with my speed of running? And wow! 0630?

"Can this man be a little polite?" I ask Ren who sat across me at the mess.

"Nope. Not until you have his neck in your hands." She said winking and then laughed.

Just then the Killer entered and stood in his way as soon as he saw me. He rolled his eyes back, regretting spending extra energy in calling me a few moments ago. Jerk.

"Anything left for me?" He asked Ren going towards the kitchen.

"Flynn left this before he ran away somewhere." His head popped back when Ren tapped on the bowl.

He rushed towards us, pulled a chair, sat down and started gobbling. "I love you, Flynn!" He said closing his eyes as he filled his stomach which I think was empty for a long time.

"You got bit there by someone?" Ren pointed at Killer's neck. He stopped chewing and coughed a little.

Making a straight face, he replied "Fight practice. I was choked."

Ren looked at him like she didn't believe him, but nodded.

"So what now?" She asked.

"He'll go to the HQ tomorrow."

'Yes!' Both of us shriek in same tone and Killer covered his ears.

"For God's sake!" Both of us giggle when he gets back to eating.

"So Nick will be back soon?" "Not sure about that. He might have to go attend that mission and since General Reese has personal interest in that mission, it might take some time."

"I want him to come back soon." "Me too" I whisper along.

"By the way, what are you two doing here at Midnight?" He asked while chewing his food.

"Cross checking the fight report she made." I answer. "Between Colonel and Kyra?"

"Mmm hmm. I have to show tomorrow." Ren hesitated.

"All the best. That was a good fight. And when a fight is good, one misses lot of points to notice. So, all the best for that first." "I know that already. Wait, first? What else?"

"You are becoming dumber each day, Ren. You have a competitor now. Don't you realise? Why do you think Colonel won't put your ass on fire when he has first hand seen and shown you how strong a girl can be? Kyra is your standard now. Though your fighting skills are as good as her, your stamina and strength are nowhere close to her. Be ready to have tough time equalling her."

He said finishing the last bite of his food.

Oh my! I never thought that way! I've been in awe since I've heard her performing badass but I never thought Colonel would expect the same from Ren!

I felt bad for feeling relieved. I had thought it will be me who'll face this competition. Thankfully its Ren.

While I felt scared for her, she didn't show an ounce of care. "Yeah. I had seen that coming. I'm really not afraid to compete with her. My standards were always set according to you guys. If I can survive that, then I'm sure I can survive this too."

"All the best for that. His attention will be on you now." "Now this is the scary part."

I couldn't stop my chuckle. She is not worried about going through killer workouts but she is worried about facing Colonel more frequently now.

"I'll break off. I have a huge load to hold over my thighs. You -" He pointed at me "-be on time. Don't give me a reason to push you."

"Yes sir." I said confused. Why would he not want to push me? He never misses a chance to do that.

************************************

"You mucky Potato!" I heard Ren's voice from far away. It's been a long boring day and all I wanted is a good lemonade and some good talking therapy with the awesome woman.

My brows furrowed guessing who is she cursing on phone. "What did he say, Nick?!"

Nick? I ran and snatched the phone from her hand. "Nick! The hell!"

She snatched the phone back from my hand. "Talk to me first!"

"No, me!"

We were having a cat fight when Killer entered med care and walked to us. He pressed the 'loud speaker' button and removed the receiver's cable. Me and Ren stood with a useless part of the phone in our hands while Killer slipped the rest of the device towards him and immediately I heard Nick's voice "... you fools!"

"Let them fight. Tell me about yourself, you dufus." He spoke calmly.

Nick laughed loudly at that. "Yeah yeah. Call all that now. I'm a free bird!"

All three of us laughed in response. What followed was a rapid fire round.

"So are you coming back now?" "Not yet. I might have to complete the mission."

"Did Father meet you?" "Meet me? He almost pulled me out of fire and dropped me into boiling Lava! I swear Wills, for a moment, I thought I'm never going back to KMA!"

"How's that bitch Dan?" Ren is unforgiving. "Oh you should have seen his face! Dad sure knows which cord to hit. Initially I thought Dad came to make it worse for me. But by the end, Dan was speechless so he had to free me. All thanks to my lovely father."

"Did you apologise to him?" It was my turn to ask him one question.

Killer and Ren turned around and looked at me. "Yep. I learnt my lessons. He definitely had planned to teach me well this time, and I'm not disappointed."

His funny response got the attention off me.

"When will you get your phone back?" Killer asked. "Hopefully in an hour. But I couldn't contain my excitement so I called right away!"

"So you'll no more be treated like a stray pig?" Did I say Ren is unforgiving?

"No Ren. I'm finally shifting to the accommodation I WAS SUPPOSED TO GET ON DAY ONE. Oh I'll have a private bathroom!" "Chuck it, Nick!" Killer laughed and connected the cord back.

He put the receiver on his ear and finished the conversation. After cutting the call he turned to us only to be stopped by the angry looks in our eyes. How dare he cut the call without letting us talk to him?

"What? You heard everything he said!" "Oh ya. And he'll have his phone back. We can call him again now."

"Yes. Finally something nice to hear after a shitty day." Killer said sliding down a chair and grunting loudly in exertion.

"Yeah. Me too." Ren sat on the chair next to him.

Both of them now looked at me. I dared not say 'me too' because Killer was particularly nice to me today. Not many taunts, no extra sets, no insults - I wonder if something is wrong with him.

"You had a shitty day too?" Ren asked and Killer raised one eyebrow.

"Well that's a tricky question. Today was.. not that bad. It was... manageable." I said slowly as I walked in reverse quickly.

"Come again?" I heard Killer's voice while running away from Med care laughing.

************************************

Free bird Nick huh? Everyone happy? 😅 But what do you think was the exact conversation James had with Dan?

Also, I had planned to put up pictures of all the Pushups Wills does to give you all an idea. But alas, Wattpad only allows 20 images per chapter. So I highlighted only the ones I thought not many people know.

I very damn well know that none of you is going to do it, but for the sake of formality, *PLEASE DON'T TRY THESE STUNTS AT HOME.* Not atleast without a trained instructor.

This 100th chapter would be incomplete if I do not mention @topper93 's role in whole of my writing life. We haven't met, never seen each other, yet we share a bond I never thought I'll have with someone, that too as a writer. Not even in my dreams! Thank you human! You drove me to write more and better and damn your brilliant Crossover ideas! I still am proud that I pushed you to tell the 'I have a stupid idea if you don't make fun of me'. Kadner being Louis's Boss was the best thing that struck your mind!

Lastly, thanks to all you crazy sadist impatient readers! (I know you all are too damn cool to give a fuck about what I said above) 😅.

Now about the new book. I still have no clue how I'm going to go about it. But there are a few things that I've decided:

1) This book will get over soon, mostly with an abrupt end. I might not publish a 101st chapter too, who knows 😉.

2) All loose ends of this book will be covered in the next one. It will most likely be a similar book but more streamlined. I need to sort the POVs first. Again, who knows it might have a different pov altogether. One thing that is sure is that it will be out only after 2 months, nothing less. I know, that's bad, but hey! I need time to bring the best for you, right? Meanwhile I'll be answering to DMs / comments having any doubt / confusion anywhere in the whole book. It will be a good idea to follow my profile or add this book to your reading list if you don't want to miss out the publishing of new book / next chapter.

3) Now this will sound rude. But here onwards, I won't be replying to comments / posts / DMs with the question 'When will you update next'. I know you all are eager to read what happens next. But believe me, I was a reader before I got myself into writing and I still read a few books. And I do spam the books I read with hundred comments, but not even once have I asked a writer when will he/she update next, because I know that they have a life. And this is not the most important thing in their life. A 5000 word chapter takes hardly fifteen minutes to read, but it takes weeks to write it, edit it, proofread it and what not. So this is my humble request to all of you to respect the writer. And instead of going on poking him, re-read your favourite parts and may be, comment there. This gives a writer happiness much more than 'When will you update next' gives.

4) If I stay sane and my work doesn't turn me into a maniac, I might update 'Wills' past. Wills' words.' I haven't yet thought about it, but hopefully we'll be celebrating junior most SC's birthday again 😉.

PS - check out the new book cover and call me stupid to finally think of it when I'm closing the book 😅.
