"Come on! Hurry!" Katherine nearly shouted. The three of them continued to run even though their legs begged them to stop. As they ran Katherine could see the sign and an unguarded fence that separated the human territory and the lycans territory.

"Guys...I need to rest."

Katherine and Dallas turned to see Bethany stopping in her tracks. Her hands rested on her knees as she gasped for a breath.

"Come on, Bethany. We don't have time for this. We are literally almost there." Katherine said, getting frustrated. She was so close to freedom she could almost taste it.

"Come down, Katherine. Just give her a second." Dallas replied making his way over to his cousin.

Katherine let out a sigh. 'Maybe we should rest.' Katherine thought as she felt the burning of her legs and found herself breathing a bit heavily. Her eyes moved back to the human units of the city in hope. Suddenly a noise was made to her left. A few yards away from her she saw several silhouettes of people running along the fence of the human territory.

"Dallas! Bethany!" Katherine nearly shouted.

Dallas and Bethany immediately looked toward her with their hearts racing in panic as afraid of being caught. They both rushed over to her and followed her eyes as they saw the people as well.

"Come on that must be the group." Dallas said quickly leading the way with Bethany and Katherine in tow.

All of them were grateful that the human territory was unguarded or they would all have been arrested if seen.

Relief washed over Katherine as she first stepped foot on the soil of the human territory.

After running behind the group for a moment Dallas signaled to them to get their attention that they were nearly startling them in the process. The group slowed down only for a moment for them to keep up, but all of them continued to run until they came upon a very small home with the lights glowing from the windows. In fact this house appeared to be the only with its lights on tonight.

One of the men among them, named John, had stepped forward and knocked on the door three times each knock spaced out. A moment later the door opened and they were greeted by a man. He stuck his head out and looked around all of them then back at John. "Quickly, before someone sees ya. Eleanor they're here!" The man said ushering them in.

Everyone immediately rushed in. Some looked back to make sure no one was following them including Katherine as well. So far the coast is clear. With Dallas being the last one in the man quickly closed the door.

"John, I was unsure you were going to make it." The man said. "It must be tiring from all that running you did to get here."

"Yes, Henry, it took a while, but we made it. Are the ships ready?" John asked.

Henry nodded. "The ships are supposed to transport goods to the next few territories over."

"Ships?" Katherine asked. She has been watching converse since she walked in the home.

Both men turned to look at her. Everyone in the room turned to look at them. "Yes, we are going to hide within the ships that transport goods to other territories, but it will only take us half way there."

"If we are going to leave we need to leave soon." The lady named, Eleanor, said. Henry beside John made his way over to her. Eleanor looked up at him in fear. "Honey, the radio. It just said-"

"WWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRR!!"

Everyone in the room froze as the city emergency alarm went off.

Katherine's heart nearly dropped in her stomach as panic rose in her. Dallas and Katherine gazed at each other as they both shared the same feeling.

"Okay. We need to leave now." John commanded.

"The transportation station of goods is fortunately near the human until, but its a good walk from here." Henry informed them.

"Than we need to make a run for it." Katherine replied.

In an instant everyone scattered quickly to gather themselves and the people they are traveling with and moved out the door.

Moments Later (Somewhere else)...

Families in their homes locked the doors and closed the blinds. People on the streets rushed in their homes or businesses nearby. The city was completely shut down. Everyone feared what had caused the city to lock down. For they knew the Alpha Prime was in a rampage on finding his queen.

The streets were quiet as no one stirred. Not a single person roamed them.

The only things moving within the streets and alleys were lycans. Beast in their true wolf form. They ran through the streets in search of their luna.

One lycan stood out from all of them. His fur is black as night and his teeth sharp as knives. His nose was pressed to ground as his hunt for his luna continued. It was hard to get a clear whiff of her scent as of earlier the street was crowded with people and along with other smells. So, tracking has become difficult and frustrating.

Demos let out a low growl as he transformed back into his human form when he heard someone approaching. Thanks to their high tech technology Demos was able to be dressed immediately thanks to the bracelet-like thing on his wrist.

"Alpha Prime." The man behind him bowed.

"Yes, Captain." He growled turning toward the man.

"My lord there is no sign of your luna." Demos let out a growl as his eyes glowed red. "But, we do believe if she runs anywhere it has to be in the human units." Demos looked at him in thought. "It is possible she could have ran that far or possibly on her way there since it is a long way from the palace to there."

Demos approached the man now towering over him. "Sends guards over immediately to the human units. Have them search every home then search every building in the d*** city."

The man bowed. "Yes, my alpha."

"Don't fail me Captain or we will be looking for a new Captain." The man lifted his head and nodded. He quickly made his way to the other guards and shouted orders to the guards.

Demos stood there and watched as everyone scrambled to follow orders. He now stood on the street almost alone as only a few low rank guards nearby stood with guns for his protection.

He rubbed his hand through his hair frustrated as he lifted his eyes to the heavens. "Bring her back to me." He whispered to his goddess. Demos heart began to ache as the thought of his mate crossed his mind. He longed to hold her again or to just have her in his bed again even though it was only been a few hours.

"Alpha." He turned to see another one of his military officers standing behind him. Demos nodded for him to continue. "The borders are in the process of shutting down, but-"

"But, what?" Demos growled.

"B-But, they are having a tough time since so many trucks are going in and out of one of the city gates." The man informed him.

"Which city gate?"

"The south side, Alpha." The man replied.

Realization hit Demos face as he looked over at the man. "Human units." Demos said lowly in thought. "Quickly, send as many soldiers as you can to the border." Demos ordered.

With that the man scurried away to obey the orders.

Elsewhere....

The group dodged trees and their limbs. They jumped over a few rocks here and there even though some fell due to them. The woods were dark and the only light provided were the three flashlights the group had. John, Henry, and Dallas were the ones with them.

Everyone ran nonstop, their legs burned and protested for rest, but they knew they could not. The one child among them begged their mother for a break, but she quickly told the child they had to keep moving.

Katherine felt herself slowing down, but she felt a hand grab her arm and pulled her along. She looked to see Dallas giving her an encouraging look as he pulled her to his side. He was warm and in a way made Katherine feel safe traveling in these dangerous woods.

Moments later the group stopped and crouched down behind trees and bushes at the edge of the woods. They scan the area looking for an opening to sneak into one of the large transportation ships.

They watched as lycan workers move back and forth loading crates into the vehicles. Others stood off writing on a tablet as they oversaw everyone else moving around.

"I thought they would have closed down since the city is on lock down." Katherine voiced.

"Maybe they didn't get the memo." Dallas replied.

"We're heading into that ship." John said pointing to the one several yards across from them. "Everyone knows the plan." Everyone nodded. The plan went into motion as they looked for the coast to be clear. Two or three moved across the shipping yard, but had to hide behind something every now and then as a lycan would look up from its work.

When it came to Katherine and her friends' turn. Her raced in her chest as sweat dripped down her face in fear while she peeked around the tree she was standing behind. Her body trembled some and she let out a shaky breath at what was about to happen. Suddenly, a hand gripped her, giving it a soft squeeze. She looked to see it was Dallas who held her hand in comfort. "It'll be okay. Just stay close to me." Katherine looked him in the eyes as she nodded her head.

With that Dallas, Katherine, and Bethany all made a run for it. They kept running across the yard with determination, but fear was evident in their eyes. At one point just as the others they had to hide behind something to keep from being seen. When the coast was clear once more they made a stealthy run across the area and kept their heads low.

At another point they had to stop again and keep low as workers worked vigorously trying to finish loading as the goods were due to ship out tonight. Katherine peeked her head over a crate to see men and women moving about.

At the moment there are only two men standing in front of the side entrance of the ship. They appeared to be just talking nonchalantly which could be just them on break. After what seemed like a while the two men were called over by a commanding voice. They quickly dropped their conversation and quickly made their way over to their assuming to be their boss. Katherine peeked her head around again to see if anyone was watching. After she saw no one paying no attention in their direction she motioned for Dallas and Bethany to follow her.

All three of them ran inside the ship where they were met with hundreds of crates packed and stacked among very tall shelves. The inside of the ship looked huge. Katherine looked around in awe at the ship's interior capacity.

"Katherine."

She looked to see Dallas pulling out of her thoughts and pulled her along the many crates. They quickly made their way to the back to an area that seemed a bit darker than the rest of the area. She looked to see that some of the group was crouched down within the crates.

"About time you made it." John whispered.

"Where's the rest?" Katherine whispered.

John looked at her than at the rest of the remaining group. "I don't know. Somehow we got separated."

"How is that possible?" She asked. "We weren't that far behind them."

"Maybe the workers caught them or something." Bethany suggested. "This is a big ship."

Katherine was about to speak up when suddenly loud voice giving commands was being heard followed by a churning sound. "What was that?" Katherine whispered as she and the others duck behind the the crates. Just then a loud bang was heard and the rest of the ship became a bit darker.

"I think we are about to take off." John whispered.
