Movement and voices were heard giving orders as the ship was about to take off into the sky. Katherine and the others crouched down and hid behind the many large crates. At the sudden jolting of the ship rising shook the group almost making them lose their balance.

After a moment, the sudden jolting stopped, then it was replaced by the feeling of the ship jerking forward. The feeling was unexpected which resulted in Katherine losing her footing. She would have feel over if it wasn't for the hands that gripped her waist. She turned to see Dallas behind her. He steady her to a balanced position. "Are you okay?" He asked. Katherine looked over at him and nodded. "Yeah." She looked around then back at him. "I think the ship just took though." She said referring to the 'jerked' feeling she felt.

Both her and Dallas moved back to the far corner of the area behind the group and took a seat. A sigh escaped Katherine's lips. She felt exhaustion as she rested her back against the wall.

For a moment, Katherine looked around the group and could read what they were thinking on their faces. It was the same thing she was thinking, that they have done it. They were on their way from escaping from the prison that was once their home.

Katherine couldn't help the smile that spread across her face. Freedom was just at her fingertips. 'Sister your sacrifice was not in vain.' Katherine thought. 'I will come back for you.'

"Katherine." Katherine turned toward Dallas as he grabbed her hand and smiled. "We did it." He exclaimed.

A smile formed on Katherine's face as well. "Yeah, we did."

A black blur zipped through the trees in the dark forest. A few moments later a few more blurs followed behind it.

Feet hit the ground hard as the lycan leading his warriors with furry and with a bit of anxiety. The lycan, Demos, looked to be something out of hell itself as he moved within the eerie dark forest. He moved as fast as his legs could carry his wolf. He was so close to his mate that her could feel it.

A few moments later they had made it. The shipping dock was a bit crowded with crates and workers standing around them.

Demos immediately transformed into his wolf and marched over to the group of workers leaving his warriors behind. One of the men among the group of workers turned with his eyes wide and immediately bowed to the ground. The other workers turned to see why the man was kneeling only to see the Alpha Prime standing before them.

"Rise." Demos said impatiently. They all stood watching the Alpha in nervousness and in curiosity. "Who is in charge here?"

One of the warriors approached Demos' side. "He is my lord." He said pointing to one of their men.

The man who kneeled first approached the Alpha. "My Alpha." He greeted him.

Demos looked at him then around the ship's docking area. "It looks as if some of your ships are missing." Demos started gritting his teeth. He walked around the men to closer look at the flying 'spaceship'.

"Oh...uhm...yes my lord. They were sent out moments ago to a few territories over." The man replied.

Demos quickly snapped his head toward the man and approached him quickly. "When? How long ago?"

The man gulped as he looked at the lycan warrior then at Demos. "Uhm...roughly 10 minutes ago."

Demos growled as he stepped closer to the man nearly in his face. "Are you deaf?" He asked the man.

The man hesitated before he spoke. "Uhm...no my lord."

"So you did hear the sirens go off correct?"

"Uhm, ...yes my lord."

"Are you dumb?"

"No my lord."

Demos growled and gritted his teeth. He clenched his fist as he tried to calm his anger. "Then, WHY THE H*** DID YOU SEND OUT THOSE SHIPS WHEN YOU KNEW D*** WELL THAT THE CITY WAS UNDER LOCKDOWN?!" Demos yelled. He was so close to the man's face yelling that their noses' tips were almost touching.

The man trembled as he stood before his lord. Unable to speak.

"WELL?! SPEAK! OR HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN HOW TO SPEAK!?"

The man gulped then slowly opened his mouth to speak. "....Uhm....I-I...the ships were already loaded and....uhm...they were sent to be set out yesterday, but we were behind schedule... S-So, I thought it wouldn't be a ....uhm ... big deal." He replied fearfully.

Demos furred his eyebrows as he glanced at his lycan warrior who only shook his head this hand palming his face. Demos looked back at the man. "Wouldn't be a big deal?" Demos repeated the man's words.

Without warning Demos grabbed the man by his collar and hoisted him in the air by his throat. "My mate is somewhere around here or maybe on one of those d*** ships and you thought it wouldn't be a big deal."

The man began to gasp for air as Demos squeezed his throat. "....*COUGH* .....N-No my lord...I just thought-"

"No, you thought nothing." At that sudden moment a loud crack noise was heard then followed by a thud. The man now laid on the ground with a broken neck. His eyes wide open as well as his mouth. He died with the look of pure terror on his face.

Demos stepped over his body and approached the trembling men before him who still had their eyes glued on their former boss.

"Now..." Demos said, causing the men to look at him. "Where is that ship heading?"

The ship glided smoothly through the air at a moderate speed as it passed over different cities. For the most part the ship has been quiet since they were down on the bottom level where there was nothing, but crates. Although, every now and then the group heard footsteps and the faint sound of voices. So, far the group has not been spotted, but it doesn't rule out the chances they will not be spotted which worries everyone.

Katherine sat and continued to sit in the same spot as before beside Dallas. She watched the group as they all just sat there in their own thoughts. She did wonder what could have possibly happened to the few others that got separated from them. 'Maybe they are on the other side of this level of the ship since it is so big.' Her eyes continued to roam around until they landed on Dallas who was tossing around on his sides as if he was struggling to get comfortable.

"Can't sleep?" Katherine asked.

Dallas turned and looked at her letting out a sigh. "Yeah, but I'm used to it." He replied sitting up next to her. "I don't know which is more comfortable though. The floor here or the floor of the palace dungeon?" He said sarcastically causing Katherine to chuckle.

"So, what do you think the human safe haven will be like?" Dallas asked.

Katherine looked at him in thought. "Well, honestly I don't care as long as it is lycan free and has plenty of food to eat." She replied.

Dallas nodded in agreement. ""I just want a nice soft bed to sleep in. Not a hard wooden floor."

"Yeah." Katherine said, looking glancing around the group, some who were sleeping. "I just want to feel safe when I get there." Dallas looked at her in her eyes as she continued. "But, honestly, even if the place was like Heaven itself. I don't think I could be completely happy." She said looking down at her hand twiddling her thumbs. "How can I truly be happy when my sister or the rest of my family could be locked up or dead?"

Dallas looked at her for a moment and looked down at his hands as well. He let out a soft sigh not sure what to say to her. "I think they would want you to move on with your life there and be happy." Katherine looked over at him. "Worry will only drive insane focusing on the 'what if' rather than 'the now'." Dallas said now looking at her.

"Yeah." She replied looking down at her hands once again. "I wish they were here with me though."

Dallas watched her for a moment before moving his arm and placing it around her shoulders. Katherine looked up at him startled. "Sorry, I...uhm...was just trying to comfort you." Dallas said lifting his arm only for Katherine to place it back on her shoulders.

"I don't mind." She said. They both looked at each other for a moment. Then Katherine laid her head on his chest listening to his heart beat.

The palace was quiet as the servants and guards all kept to themselves. Repairs and cleaning was being done to the palace that had been caught in the flames of the fire.

Everyone stayed alert as they waited on whether their king would bring back their queen or not. Most of them believe he would because she was just a human and Demos was a lycan alpha. She could not get far.

In the throneroom of the palace was occupied and quiet as well. One of the occupants, Xerous, had a serious and hard look on his face as he was deep in thought. The sudden sound of doors opening pulled Xerous from his thoughts.

He looked up to see a lone lycan approach the throne. The man stopped at the steps of the throne and kneeled.

"Well?" Xerous asked.

The man swallowed, raising his head then he spoke. "Uhm...The luna has not been spotted as of yet my lord." A low growl erupted from Xerous. "But, I did hear them say that she may be on one of the transportation ships."

A smirk grew on Xerous face. "Good. That will be all." The man bowed and left the room.

"You look comfortable."

Xerous looked to see the Councilman Lukras approached the throne. His hands were placed behind his back as he stood there with a smudged look on his face.

Xerous let out a sigh. "I didn't see you come in." Xerous made a hand gesture to the servant. Both men watched as the servant quickly came to them with a pitcher and wine glass in hand.

"Any news on the Luna Prime?" The councilman asked as he watched the servant pour Xerous a drink then walking off to the side.

Xerous took a sip of his drink then spoke. "My spy believes that she has escaped to the transportation ships." He replied before taking another sip of his drink. "Luckily for me I know where that ship is heading." After taking a sip he lowered the glass swirling the wine in it a bit.

"Hmp..." Lukras replied. "How does it feel?"

Xerous looked up from his drink to the councilman. "How does what feel?"

Lukras stepped closer to the throne steps. "How does it feel to share a mate with your brother?"

Xerous lowered his glass and let out a growl. His now glowing blood red. The glass shattered in his hand. Blood ran down his hand as he stared at the councilman with full rage.

"It feels like hell."
