Aeress
She blew out a heavy breath as the guard opened the door for her. This time he wasn't so stiff and cold as he bowed his head at her. This she appreciated.
After a week of training with Klein, Aeress felt more refreshed than ever before. It felt like she was finally gaining back some measure of control. Yeah, control. Something she was beginning to regard as a bastardous, elusive force.
She walked into their room. Her heart jumped as she saw Warrick in his usual place, skimming technology which was supposedly banned from the island. Perhaps a Premier was above the law.
"Warrick," she breathed, smiling openly as she approached him. She noted that he was dressed in a full-on, all black suit. His skin was especially pale as the late afternoon was soon to arrive.
His arctic gaze failed in evoking fear. This may have made her dumb, or arrogant, but she didn't care enough to contemplate it. "Aeress." The lilt of his accent so starkly compared to his plain, bored tone.
"Working? I'm sweaty, sorry." She didn't bother to ask and simply plucked the laptop off his lap and replaced it with her. He was stiff... and not in the way she had hoped.
His hand glided over her thighs and he held on to her. This made the tension relieve just enough. "Today was a short day?"
She leaned her head on him, slinging her arm around his shoulders and absent-mindedly gliding her fingers against the arm of his suit jacket. "Yeah." She sighed. "Klein has something to attend to. A meeting I think. The session was cut after a couple hours. I was kind of relieved though, I need a break. And I feel like I haven't see you as often as before."
His jaw clenched. His muscles bunched up underneath her.
"What?" She could tell right away that he was a little off.
He shook his head.
She narrowed her gaze at him. "What, hmm? Something's bothering you. What's wrong?"
He closed his eyes as if to concentrate. "Aeress, we need to talk..."
"About what?" she laughed, half annoyed and half curious.
He finally turned to look at her again. So much chaos caught up in blue. "I wish I could just..." she was caught off guard when his hand crept in between her legs. Aeress reacted without thought and began kissing his neck. The taste of his flesh against her lips was like heaven. He was just so warm yet so cold, like a statue in the dead of winter, caught up in a rare day of sunshine.
"I didn't realize 'we need to talk' is code for-woah!" she gasped and bit down on his neck as he dipped his hand under the waistband of her underwear. She moved so that she was straddling him on the couch with her lips stationed on him.
He ripped her pants down so that they were bunched up by her knees, as were her cotton undies. She reached up, clashing her lips against his, hissing out a breath against his mouth as he pleasured her roughly, rather like he demanded that she orgasmed.
She held onto him and kissed him with equal earnest. His taste soaked into her, repleting her to the brim until she could quite literally explode. Her hips grinded against him, pushing her naked flesh against the familiar touch of his rough, calloused hand, that burned her without warning or care.
"Warrick," she moaned, begged, taking it upon herself to rip his expensive button-up wide open, exposing his heavily inked skin. She touched him with pride, feeling in a way that this was her mark which overwhelmed his body.
His anger could not be ignored, she could feel it on her tongue, leaving behind a bitter taste. But she took all of it, absorbed every last drop, just so long as it was him.
Minutes passed of his furious movements and her eagerly receiving form. She opened her eyes, shouting his name as she felt his teeth sink into the flesh of her neck. She burst, shaking with tremors and shivers, the kind that made her skin tingle with awareness. She sighed in bliss and kissed his cheek, not knowing how she could ever express her appreciation.
Her watched her, and she loved how his pale cheeks were red with a blush that got her all hot and bothered. She smirked at him and lifted off of him. Making sure his eyes were on her-which they always were, smoldering, analyzing, studying with a personal, intimate kind of attention-she kicked her pants all the way off, and pulled her shirt over her head. Next was the sports bra.
"I need a shower." She turned, putting more sway in her hips with a pounding and excited heart. She smiled to herself when she heard his soft but frustrated growl.
Aeress knew she was teasing him as she left the bathroom door open and proceeded to get in the shower. The water felt nice and warm, she only liked hot showers when she was on her period or when she was sick.
Only a few seconds passed before she sensed his eyes ravishing her naked, dripping physique.
His voice was deepened, resembling more animal than man. "Aeress, we need to talk, please."
She rinsed off her body and began to use the soap that smelled so good. "Hey, I didn't start this. I was just sitting on your lap and you had to do... that. Fine, what do you want to talk about?" She was quick to scrub the remaining sweat off her body, doing the same with her hair.
He was quiet, and she would be lying if she didn't admit that she liked him watching her all the while she showered.
A couple minutes passed in silence, and the tension was building just as it always did between them. But she didn't mind torturing him and finished her shower with a sluggish pace.
Right as she was finishing rinsing herself off, she felt his hand take a hold of her bicep. She twisted her head just in time to meet his lips. He kissed her fiercely and claimed her in a matter of seconds.
And then he pulled away, growling and shaking his head. "Put some clothes on. Meet me in the bedroom, I need to talk to you."
She frowned, but let him walk off. She threw her hair in a tight bun on her head, knowing the knots she most likely created would cause her great regret later. Then she wrapped herself in a comfortable robe as she had no clothes.
When she stepped out of the bathroom, she noted his rigid posture. He sat at the couch, looking unsure of where he wanted to place his hands, so he leaned forward with his forearms on his knees. His jaw was set as were his ocean eyes.
Her head felt a little more clear with some distance between them, so she stood where she was and stayed there. She crossed her arms. "Alright, Warrick, I'm listening."
His lips tightened into a frown. "I have received new information that has... changed certain circumstances."
Her eyebrow raised. "New information? Circumstances?"
He sighed and sprung to a stance. He paced a few, short, measured steps. "Yes. I'm telling you this, because things are going to change. It is not going to be easy, but there is no other way."
She played with the tie on her robe. "What's going to happen?" She wished he would stop beating around the bush.
He stopped his pacing to look at her straight on. "This can't happen anymore. What happened just now, it comes to an end now."
Her heart plummeted. "Are you breaking up with me?" Not that they were boyfriend and girlfriend, but it sure seemed like he was breaking up with her.
He scoffed. "You can't break up with your mate, Aeress. I need you to trust me. It would be in your best interest that we put a halt on our... more intimate relations."
Aeress rubbed her forehead. "Warrick, you're not making any sense. So what, I can't touch you, you can't touch me?" A pain was beginning to bloom in her chest. This was resembling rejection.
"It would be for the best."
"Did the council say something to you?"
Silence responded.
Her anger began to kindle. "Who gives a fuck what they think, Warrick? I don't. You and I both know those rules are archaic. We shouldn't let them control us or our intimate relations."
"I don't think you understand the magnitude of what these impending events and what they will mean for the future, Aeress." His voice deepened with a demand for complete and total submission. "I don't make this decision lightly. I'm doing this for you."
"I am a grown ass woman," she snapped, "and I sure as hell don't need a man to make my decisions for me. You know, you are the most confusing-god! You drive me crazy. One minute you're touching me and giving me orgasms and the next you say we can't be intimate. If you don't want this, just say it. And you can't trust me enough to tell me the full truth, then you can get the hell out of my room." She wouldn't be played with liked some doll. Not by anyone. Especially him.
"Is that was you wish? For me to leave?" It was like he wanted her to to say yes.
"Don't you dare turn this around on me." She took a step toward him, wanting to slap some sense into him. "How would you feel if I said to you the shit you just said to me, huh? And it's not just that, you won't even tell me why."
"I can't, Aeress."
"Yes, you can, Warrick. It's simple really. You open your mouth and close it while making sounds. It's that simple."
"I'm not saying this to anger you."
"Well it's too late for that. I'm already pissed. You can't just mess with my head and expect me to me okay with it. I swear I have whiplash because of you. Why not stay away from me since the beginning if it's in my best interest? Why now?"
"You tempt me every second of every day-" he cut himself off. "It doesn't matter. I suggest you focus on your training." She watched him with her mouth agape. "You keep this room. I'll be in the same wing, just in case you need me." He left without looking back.

Aeress slammed her fist into the punching bag again and again, until her knuckles crunched and her arms strained with burning sensations. Whatever Warrick was up to, he clearly didn't want her involved in it.
He was being an asshole in order to push her away. Well, it was working!
"What, just because I am demon possessed I can't handle a little extra baggage? Since when has anyone ever cared about how much I can handle?" Again, she assaulted the poor punching bag with her fists. "Who does he think he is? Being a jerk like everything that happened between meant nothing?!" She screamed out her frustration, landing a sloppy kick and dislodged the bag, and she watched it land a couple feet away.
"Men suck!" she shouted at no one in particular.
"What are you doing back, ready for some more torture?"
She jumped at Klein's voice. Her eyes widened as she noted his close to naked form. He rivaled Warrick in physique, sculpted from years and years of preparation. "No... okay, maybe. Not really!"
He crossed his arms over his chest. "Something is bothering Aeress. I wonder what."
She nodded. "One word. Warrick."
He raised a brow. "Mate problems?"
"Is it supposed to be this hard? The whole mate thing? Shouldn't we be harmonizing and I don't know, running in a field of daisies?"
Klein looked ready to burst with laughter. "I don't know about the whole 'running in daisies' thing or anything really, I haven't found my mate, so my advice may be worthless."
Aeress turned toward him. "Humor me."
"Well," he stretched out his arms as he spoke, tugging on his rock-hard muscles, "from what I've seen, it's a pretty intense ordeal. Man meets woman, they usually fuck within minutes of meeting-excuse my language."
"Within minutes?" Aeress couldn't relate or maybe she could, in fact. Sure, she did picture fantasies of Warrick almost the moment she met him, but his callous personality was a real boner killer.
"Maybe it's sexual frustration?"
She furrowed her brows at him. "What makes you think we don't bone all the time?"
He shrugged. "Everyone knows the Premier is forbidden from having an intimate relationship with Godhead of any kind, to do so would be in direct violation of his duty as Premier."
Aeress studied the male, really studied him. Klein even began to fidget under her analyzing gaze. "Aeress, you're eyes are glowing."
After a while she nodded, coming to the conclusion that she could trust this man. "Tell me more about these rules."
"To tell you the truth, I can't say much, but I know a place that you will have much better luck."
"Where?"
"The library."
