Daniel stood alone, solemn and grim, he stood in front of a grave that was carefully cleaned up after. It was already autumn, the harsh wind blew past him, the fallen leaves brushing past in the air. Under the cloudy sky, his image was filled with sorrow, a lonely picture that couldn't be changed. His expressions was cold and stern, yet, his eyes were red. On his left hand, his ring finger sported a beautiful ring.
Sighing out, exhaling the air within his lungs as if it was the heaviest of burden, he carefully knelt onto his knees. "Andy, this now marks one and a half years since your departure. Today, like any other day, I came to visit you again. Although I can't explain, it has now already become a part of me that I can't erase, coming to visit you everyday like this. How are you doing? The day that you left, you took a part of me that will never return."
Looking up to the gravestone, Daniel revealed a light smile. "I miss you, I really miss you. You told me to move on, to be happy, but I don't think I'll ever be able to do that. Because, for me, my happiness was you. And now that you're gone, how can I be happy?" Saying so, he held back a sob, his face revealing pain.
"I'm sorry. I wish I had met you sooner. If I had, everything would've been different. If I had, you wouldn't have suffered all those years, and, maybe by now, we would be a wedded couple. Those years, it could've been the best years we spent together, if only I wasn't so dumb. I fell in love with someone who wasn't you, someone who was your half-brother. I know that it must've torture you, to watch as I fell in love with someone who had hurt you for most your lifetime." Daniel paused, taking a break to recollect his emotions.
"I hate myself, Andy. Because, thinking about all of the possibilities, all the what if's, I wish I can change it. I wish that I can rewind time, to go back and love you, to protect you. I wish I was able to take that bullet for you, I wish...that we could've gotten married. On that day, I was already so excited, I thought that nothing would've gone wrong. But, it did. I was so happy for just a moment, then, it all changed within the next second. Andy, if none of that would've happened, I would have loved being married with you." Daniel couldn't help it as his eyes watered, but he tried persistently to not let his tears fall.
"I thought so much about it. Our married life and how it would be like. If I hadn't been so hopeful, maybe now, I wouldn't be hurting this much. But, Andy, because of you, I wanted to wish, to have hope for our future together and what was to come. In a way, I hate how none of that will ever happen again, but I'm also thankful for all the moments I spent with you. I know that it was hard to accept me back into your life, but you still did. I know that years of cruelty had made your heart frozen, but you were still willing to open up for someone like me."
The wind picked up, leaves blowing by much faster as a loud thunder was heard. Yet, even so, Daniel didn't care as he knelt in the same position, unwilling to move.
"Why couldn't I have meet you in a different time and place? Maybe then, our love wouldn't have been cut off so soon. If we had, I would've loved you to the fullest, protecting you no matter what. And then, I wouldn't be regretting everything so much."
Daniel stopped speaking. The only sound heard was the thunder and the light rain falling down from the sky. It fell upon his face, and made it unclear whether he was crying or if it was just the rain dripping down his face.
"I regret it all so much. I regret all the time I spent with another when I could have spent it with you. I regret not loving you to the fullest, that time pushed on forward and now, only I am left behind, wishing for it to rewind." Silence. Daniel's eyes gleamed with heartache, and he put back the light smile on his face, no matter how hard it was.
"Sam and Louis are doing well. Sam suffered a trauma after what had happened to you, but with help, he was able to step past it. He took over Luxe after six months. Louis is now by Sam's side, and watching over him and everything he does. They are really happy with their life, and still remember you for everything that you had done to help them. Avian was arrested for murder not even one day after he shot you. Now, he is going to spend his entire life in prison. Theo learnt about your death when Avian was arrested. Needless to say, he did suffer a bit from that. He lost the woman he loved and the son he who wasn't able to care for."
"Andy, if there is another lifetime, would you be willing to wait for me then?"
"I promise then that I will love you with no regrets, and I will never let you suffer again."
Daniel took a long look into the distance, his eyes filled with many emotions.
"Andy, thank you so much for everything that you have given to me."
Three years later, Daniel passed away. Doctors diagnosed it as a broken heart, and Sam and Louis weren't surprised. Instead, they were glad that he was able to last for so long after what had happened to Andy.
Daniel's body was buried next to Andy, and both Sam and Louis still visited their graves every week.
Sam and Louis worked together to keep Spherix and Luxe alive, and successfully did so. They adopted three children in their lifetimes, two boys and one girl.
In all stories, not every ending is meant to be happy. Some will tell of the greatest of loves that ended in a tragedy, whilst others will tell of the saddest of loves that still couldn't be given a happy ending.
Just like life, happy endings don't always come, no matter how hard you work for it.
With love, sometimes, things don't turn out like how you wish it would.
The question comes to moving on or holding on. If it was so easy, no one would suffer from a heartbreak.
There is no right or wrong answer, because it lies all within your heart.
Like Andy and Daniel, there love was filled with twists and turns. Even at the ending of it all, when Andy died, Daniel still held onto everything, unable to move on from the memories Andy gave to him.
If it is worth it, if it's all too precious to be thrown away, then it's alright to hold onto it,
If it merely brings back awful memories, only hurts you again and again, then it's alright to move on.
What matters is whether or not you are happy with the decision you made.
Daniel didn't regret holding onto the memories, holding onto Andy even though it was both painful and precious.
The love that these two had cannot be easily said, for the memories and emotions they felt were real.
And so, even after years passed by, even when time flows by, they leave behind two sentences.
"On that day, back in the past, I had already loved you since then."
"On that day, back in the past, I wish I had knew just how much you meant to me." (Fei Shang, do you think that I was cruel?)
[Why do you wish to know, Host?]
(Because, Daniel loved Andy so much, his life was basically wrapped around Andy's life. And when he had finally gotten an answer for his proposal, I died. I could've avoided it if I had wanted to, but I'd didn't. Don't you think it will hurt Daniel the most, especially because I died not even moments after agreeing to his marriage?)
Fei Shang struggled to give an answer.
[Host, I will give my honest opinions. It is not that you are cruel, but that you had made a cruel decision. Those two are different things, for you are not cruel yourself. It is the decisions which you have made that are cruel.]
(But, why does my heart feel pain? When I saw his expression before I returned, I felt...bad for my actions. It was like...like I wanted to stay with him. It feels new, because someone like me, these types of emotions are something that I have never felt before in my life. For the first time in my life, I was so sure that my heart skipped a beat before it returned to normal. I even got use to seeing Daniel's face and his actions.)
[Host, don't suppress it. I think that you, yourself knows better than anyone else the feelings within your heart.]
Fei Qianchi didn't know what to say. He kept silent, thinking and processing Fei Shang's words.
(Thank you. Do you know the next world I will be in?)
[Yes, Host. The next world is an ABO world, with a modern setting. Your character is an alpha male, Victor, the older brother of the villain, Lucius, an omega male.]
(Alright, Fei Shang. I'm ready, please send me to the next world.)
[Yes, Host.]
"How is it going?" Zhu Luishui's purple eyes turned to look at the man standing in front of him. His face cold and devoid of any emotions.
Fei Shang stood before Zhu Luishui and replied, "I inserted the memories of Zhu Longwang's soul scattering into Fei Qianchi's dreams. But...I feel that sooner or later, he will realize by himself. Even now, he is already falling in love with each soul."
Zhu Luishui stood up, his eyes looking at Fei Shang, "How much longer will it take?"
"I don't know. It will depend on whether or not Fei Qianchi can recover each of Zhu Longwang's soul. And...it depends on whether or not, Baicheng will interfere once again." Fei Shang answered honestly, no emotion on his face, only calmness showed.
Hearing that name, Zhu Luishui clenched his fist. Zhu Luishui's eyes flickered into a glaring yellow before he closed his eyes and it restored back to purple. "Fei Shang, continue monitoring Fei Qianchi."
"Yes, my Lord." Fei Shang replied.
"You are faithful, I know that much. Especially since you are doing whatever it is in your power to bring back Fei Qianchi, the man who saved you when you were younger."
"The two pair of brothers are getting too strong. With his older brother as the Lord of Suzhou, it will only be a little amount of time before he is given a title. Now that he's protecting Qianchi, it will be better for us all to make a move against him and bring him down. This way, we will be able to justify ourselves because he is choosing to protect someone like Qianchi."
"Zhu Longwang, for choosing to protect a man who should be punished for his actions, if you put down your sword now, your punishment will be lightened."
"Do you think that I don't understand your sects? Even if I put down this sword, you won't let me go free anyways. I already know that Qianchi has not done any of the things that you have all said. Thank you for your words as elders, but, even I know that the righteous are never the justice."
"Zhu Luishui, no matter what, your past ties with me cannot be cut off! You cannot make it seem as if there were nothing between you and I, and you know best that everything I'm doing is because of what you have done."
