Blythe Friday night
"Are you dumb?! She's my competition, she's trying to take you away from me!" Amora yelled rolling her eyes. "Why are you yelling?" I asked pausing the movie we were watching.
"Jackie wants you to herself and I don't know how to stop her! She knows more about you than me." Amora squinted her eyes at me as I shrugged. "You wouldn't look at me the same if I opened up to you."
If I showed Amora the real me she would kick me out in a heartbeat. The real me is the worst version of me possible. I was reckless, nefarious, and insensitive, I'd do anything to make sure Amora doesn't see that side of me.
"Blythe, I understand you've been through a lot but I don't like being in the dark." Amora sighed laying her head on my shoulder.
I stayed quiet thinking of all the outcomes that could possibly happen if I tell her everything about me.
"We can start small." Amora looked up at me as I nodded. "Small," I said smiling at her. It wouldn't kill me to tell her a little something about myself.
"My birthday is November 28th, I have one sister, I did online school for my last three years of high school. I actually like animals, believe it or not, I know how to play the violin despite how aggressive I may look. Oh, I don't have a favorite color but I hate red." I can't think of anything else right now but that's it.
"You have a sister!?" Amora squealed. "Have you ever meet her?!"
"Only once but then my dad sent her to my grandparents so she wouldn't catch my 'craziness.'"
"Language." Amora pinched my arm. "After my parents sent her away I turned into an only child, my dad used to tell her scary stories about me so we'd stay away from each other. I'm pretty sure she saw me on the news one time."
"Well don't you want to see her again? This could be your chance to reunite with her." Amora is more excited about this than me.
"I don't know, I haven't seen her for a while." My sister and I have similar names and we look alike, but I wouldn't say she's my twin.
"What's her name?"
"Blair, it's not exactly the same as my name but you see the connection." I don't know what my parents were thinking when they named her.
"Do you have any pictures of her?" Amora cuddled into me holding onto my waist. "Yeah, in the box I came here with."
I have a picture of my mom and me, and a picture of me and my sister. "Honey, you have to let me see."
Amora got out of bed scrambled the room for my box. "Do I really?" I groaned hoping she would give up. "Yes! This could be a life-changing moment for you." Amora came back into bed shoving the box into me.
"Open it."
"Do I have to?"
"Yes!" She chuckled placing my hands on the box. "For me?" She whispered nibbling on my ear. "Fine." I huffed giving in to her, I opened the box showing her the picture of Blair and me.
"Baby, you look so cute." Amora cooed taking the picture out my hand. "I think I was 12 in that picture."
I wasn't really photogenic but it was my mom who wanted us to take a picture. "Can I see this one?" Amora reached over to my hand and I pulled away. "No, not this one."
It's the only picture of me and my mom that I have. I don't let anybody touch it nor do I take it out the box. "How about tomorrow we buy some frames for your pictures and hang them up." Amora looked at me as I nodded my head.
I guess hanging them up is better than sitting in a box. "Okay," I said softly getting up putting them on the dresser.
"Baby, you're so fine." Amora grinned grabbing onto my face. "You think so?"
Amora nodded her head leaning in, kissing me. I smiled in between laying her down so that I'm on top. This is really what I needed after dealing with Jackie. I see where Amora is coming from when she says Jackie knows more about me than she does.
I'll try to open up as much as possible when it comes to Amora but no promises.
Amora Saturday morning
"Good morning." I smiled kissing Blythe softly. "Good morning, beautiful."
"How'd you sleep?" I sat two plates down at the island, bringing out the carton of juice. "Wonderful." Blythe stretched out in her seat rubbing her eyes.
"Look what I got you," I said cheerfully reaching over for her gift. "I'm scared." She chuckled licking her lips.
"For you my love." I stood by her as she unwrapped her gift. "Awe baby, you didn't have to do this." Blythe stood up pulling me into a hug, I got her a picture frame and put the picture of her and Blair in it.
I got her another one so she could put the picture of her and her mom. "Thank you." Blythe kissed my cheek making me smile. "I got you another so you can put your other picture in it."
"Thank you, beautiful." She kissed me one last time before sitting back down. "I've been meaning to ask you this ever since last night," I said filling up her cup. "I know your parents separated you and your sister."
I put eggs on her plate going back and forth between the island and the stove. "I think we should look for your sister."
"Nope."
"What?! Why?!" I cried pinching her arm, I sat next to her taking away her fork so she couldn't eat. "I don't want to, it'll be awkward after all these years." Blythe reached over for my fork and I pulled away.
"How would we even find her?" Blythe sighed slouching in her seat. "I could look her up in the system since you guys are related it shouldn't be hard to find her."
"Promise me you won't bother with trying to find Blair." Blythe stared at me folding her hands in her lap. "But maybe-."
"Promise me! You won't look for her!"
I slowly stuck my picky out locking it with hers. "I appreciate the idea by seeing my sister doesn't really interest me." Blythe sighed pinching my cheek. "I understand."
That was the last thing I said before eating my breakfast. "What was your mom like?" I can't help but be nosy, I want to know everything about Blythe.
"My mom? My mom... was like my best friend, I'd do anything for her even when she would pick my dad over me. I could never stay mad at my mom because she was all I had, she was everything in human form."
"My dad and I weren't that close, it was almost like a competition to see who got my moms attention. He used to beat on my mom for every little thing and I would always stand up for her."
"I'd do anything to have my mom back in my life, when my mom died it was the main reason why I went to the asylum, I was c-word." Blythe rubbed her thigh up and down while I took our plates over to the sink.
"Well, she's in a better place now." I stood beside her kissing her cheek, I'm not sure if I want to know why Blythe was sent to the asylum. I believe her when she brings up her mom but there has to be more to it.
"Alrighty get up now, we have a busy day." I cheesed pulling Blythe out her seat.
I haven't exactly made out our plan for today but I do know I have a little surprise for Blythe tonight.
