Blythe Wednesday
"Good morning, beautiful." I grinned at Amora sitting across from me. She took my advice and came alone although I miss nurse Jackie. "Good morning, Blythe."
"No jacket today?" Amora asked with a smile plastered on her face. "I need a favor." I folded my hands together placing them in my lap. "I'm all ears."
"You need to get me out of here, ask them if you can take me out of this room for 5 minutes. Please, I can't take it in here."
I hate begging, it makes me feel like a whore. But I don't know how much longer I can take in this room. "And I want my pussy ate but that's not happening." Amora chuckled.
"Take your pants off," I ordered and she looked at me dumbfounded. "Should I take them off for you?" I waved my hand in her face, poking her nose. "I'll take you outside for 20 minutes, not a second longer."
"Thank you." I've never felt so relieved, the other patients here are weird and half of them aren't even crazy. "But! No more touching Jackie, do you understand?" Amora stood up straightening out her scrubs. "Yeah, whatever." I scoffed standing at the door.
"Do you or do you not understand?" She crossed her arms waiting on my response. "Yes, I understand."
I opened the door looking around. It feels good to be somewhere else besides the padded room. I followed Amora walking out the double doors, security wasn't really a thing in this place.
"Thank you," I mumbled stepping outside, it's been so long since I've been outside. "Why'd you want to come out here anyway?" Amora walked to the river with me standing side by side.
"Gotta figure out how to spend my last few hours." I crouched down next to the river looking for a good animal to skin. "Last few hours?" Amora crouched next to me.
"Yeah, you didn't hear about me?" I shoved my hands in the water pulling out a water moccasin. I held it's tail ignoring the hiss. I searched around in the dirt looking for something sharp. "This'll do." I picked up a rock with a sharp edge.
"What's going on why do you have a few hours left?" Amora gave me a concerned look only to receive a weak smile back.
I skinned the snake halfway but stopped letting its blood squirt out. "Lovely," I mumbled as blood splattered on my face. "Why aren't you answering me? What's happening in a few hours?!"
I grew irritated with her asking over and over. "All done," I said holding up the dead skinless snake. "You want the skin?" I turned to Amora holding the skin in my other hand, she dipped her hand in the water and wiped my face. "Now tell me."
"We should go back." I stood up putting the skin in my pocket, that's for a surprise later on. "It hasn't been 20 minutes! Stop stalling and tell me."
"Electric chair, beautiful." I pushed her hair behind her ear looking into her eyes. "They know I killed Laura and with that comes a consequence."
"They can't do that!" Amora yelled letting her Detroit accent slip out. "Eh, doesn't matter I've been preparing for this day." I walked away sitting on top of a boulder. "You're just gonna let them do it?!"
"Don't yell at me if it's not in the bed." I spat. "Then why ask for only a couple minutes? Isn't there something else you want to do?" She sat on the boulder taking a seat next to me. "I don't want you to lose your job."
I am getting the electric chair today and I'm not surprised, all my doings are catching up to me I hate to admit it but it's the end of the road for me.
"I'll pray for you."
"Don't, after this don't come to my room just come to the check-ins with Jackie and that's it." "If you do I'll have no choice but to hurt you." I don't want her to see me anymore because if she's already reacting like this imagine what it'll be like without seeing me.
Not to be cocky or anything but I have my way with the ladies, even though I always kill them.
"Nice knowing you, beautiful."
Amora
"Are you okay?" Jackie asked sitting across from me at the break room lunch table. "Blythe is getting the electric chair." I don't know why I care so much, maybe cause I know this isn't right. After everything, she's done it's like I don't know if I can see past that.
"Honey, I know it's not right but it's the consequence. She killed Laura right in front of me and she killed Laura's parents ." Jackie took a break from her burger trying to explain everything to me.
"If you're so worried go check on her, love." I let out the biggest sigh possible remembering what she said on the rock. "She doesn't want me coming to her room unless it's check-ins."
"I'm sorry, honey, not much we can do." Jackie gave me a weak smile and all I could think about was Blythe, she thinks any dark nature is okay. Jackie told me about her confession tape and how she killed Laura with no hesitation.
"Jackie, we need you in Blythes' room." It was the lady from the front desk, I don't know her name but she usually tells me the patients I need to check on. "Don't you see I'm on lunch break?" Jackie rolled her eyes going back to her food.
"I'll do it," I said volunteering my life away. It felt like making a deal with the devil but in a way it felt like the right thing to do. I don't know why I can't leave her alone.
I left the break room walking down the hallway. I stopped in front of Blythes' room taking one deep breath before going in. It was me and another nurse, nurse Marie.
We all sat at the table like usual waiting for the session to start. "Wednesday afternoon, nurse Marie and nurse Amora now present with Blythe Fayre."
"Good afternoon, beautiful." Blythe smiled at nurse Marie. "Afternoon." She gave me the basic head nod and I gave her a weak smile in return.
"We need you to confess to everything you've done in order for us to decide if the electric chair is a fair punishment," Marie said opening up her notebook.
I shook my head, "Don't." I mouthed but she shrugged me off. "Monday afternoon I killed nurse Laura after we finished my confessions." Blythe did her usual position, leaning her chair against the wall.
"Come on I need the life story, tell me exactly what you told Laura."
"I told Laura 2 minutes of my life and here you are begging for the entire thing." Blythe cleared her throat staring at me.
"When I was a little girl I saw my father kill my mother, I killed him in return grabbing the wheel while on the highway. I was alone for a very long time, I got into knives and all that dark stuff. I killed my best friend for no reason, my paranoia got the best of me. I cut off her face and kept it for a long time. I went into high school and got in a relationship, I killed my girlfriend along with her family and five other people. I was involved with a massacre but that's a story for another time." Blythe smiled at nurse Marie while I sat there.
"Will you excuse me?" Marie said closing her notebook. "Go ahead beautiful."
I waited for Marie to leave the room closing the door on her way out. "Why would you do?! You know what's gonna happen to you so why even tell her?" I shot up from my chair pacing back and forth. "I told you don't come to my room."
"It doesn't matter! I don't care about what you did, you don't deserve the chair!" I opened Marie's notebook flipping through the pages. "Amora, enough." Blythe put her chair on all four legs as I scrambled through pages.
"I'm calling the shots here," I mumbled ripping out the page with Blythes name on it. "Amora, enough!"
I stopped and stared at her. "No! You're here cause you're crazy and I'm the only one trying to help you." I shoved the paper in my back pocket.
"You just called me crazy and you think I want your help. I'm sorry, beautiful but you gotta give up."
I don't care about what she's done and I didn't mean to call her crazy because she's not. I just... I just don't want anything to happen to her.
Boom!
