What i felt was more of jealousy rather than anger

Haidar just looked at me and Jadwa immediately released herself from the hug wiping her face with her lightly loose head tie indicating that she has been crying,

"Nothing Ab relax" Haidar said

"What are you still doing here?" I turned and asked asked her

"You told me not to leave yet"

I even forgot that I told her that i just said "leave" and immediately she dashed away

"Come on Haidar with the maid too?"

"This is more than anything Yarima wlhy i really feel something for this girl" he confessed

My heartbeat increased and I just looked at him and ignored him but still the feeling o jealousy is still there, I don't know how to take care of anyone yes but I'm trying to be normal with the girl but its too hard,

"Can I give it a try? I mean do you think I should?" Haidar asked bringing me back from my thoughts

"Come on Haidar get another girl please not the maid" i said leaving him there because I wasn't interested in hearing any of the bullshit

"Everything should have its box" I warned her, because the thing i hate most is to see things not arranged in order,

We are leaving for jigawa tomorrow morning so the girl had to arrange my things,

I was still frustrated because of what i saw yesterday, why was i even bothered?

She finished and i asked her to take them downstairs but by the looks of things she cant,

"Just drop them in the corridor they will be taken care of" i said and she nodded and dragged them out,

Seeing her cry yesterday made me felt something I don't know, was it jealousy? Or anger?

Jadwa

"Ina yini Mami"

"Jadwa yar albarka how are you?"

"I'm fine"

"Sit down" mami ordered and i nodded and sat beside her,

I was sweeping when she called for me so I hurried and went to hear whats up

"Jadwa you're following sultan to jigawa tomorrow so be here as early as 6:30" she stated

"In shaa Allah"

"You don't have to cook when you are there but that depends on what Sultan says he wants to eat"

"Its not necessary to wear the uniform since you're not in this palace, and no roaming around stay as close as possible Incase he needs anything"

I just kept nodding as she states everything she wanted,

"Allah yayi miki albarka" she said and i said bye to her and left

"Lucky you" Amla said joyfully when I told her we were going to jigawa tomorrow,

"How am i lucky?" I asked because honestly I don't know,

Yes jigawa is my hometown but i know the palace is nowhere near my house and even if it was who will i go and happily see? I know that i miss Amal I wonder how she's doing but still aunty Salma can even kill me if she sees me near that house,

So I wasn't excited about going there at all

"At least you're leaving this palace" I just rolled my eyes at her and laid down comfortably

"Good night Amal" I whispered and she came and laid close to me,

"Bye Jad and safe trip in case you leave before I wake up"

"Mmmm" I muttered gently and dozed off

I woke up early and hurried to dress up, since Mami said its not a must to wear the uniform I decided to wear the one abaya i have,

As usual the convoy was already there so i went in and asked if he wanted breakfast but he said no so we left,

Haidar insisted that he wanted to seat in with me but Sultan refused that they have some paperworks to finish on their way,

Other cars joined us after i think it is the queen and others,

The AC was so high and I didn't have a cardigan with me,

We got to to jigawa after hours of driving,

I got a cold from the AC so when we got down the feeling of the sun was so nice,

I stood aside waiting for someone to tell me where I'm supposed go to,

"Jadwa lets go in" Haidar offered and I followed behind him,

The place was kind of quiet which was surprising since it was a palace

"Everyone is in the main building" haidar said opening the door to one of the apartments,

"This is Sultan's section" he said as we entered a nice looking parlor,

Then he opened a door which led to a little room

"This is where you're going to stay" he said going in before me

I followed him inside and smiled when i saw how the room was, it looks nice and for some reasons i was happy to finally sleep in a nice looking bed for once

Haidar noticed how i was smiling, "you like it huh?" He asked and i just nodded

"Okay then pray before Mammah send someone to guide you" then he left

I prayed and sat on the bedside, i was so hungry but i had no right to talk,

I was about to start dozing when i heard a knock on the door so I hurried and opened it,

"Sannu, the woman said smiling" so I smiled back and greeted her "ina wuni"

We exchanged pleasantries and she introduced herself as Ummu Hauwa the palace care taker and sultan's mum asked her to come and show me around,

So I followed her and that was when i knew i was at the west wing and that is where the kings grand children stay when they come,

The main palace was on the east wing so we went there and she showed me where the kitchen was,

"Ina zuwa let me bring Yarima Abban's food warmers so that you can take his food it's getting late" she said releasing my hand

"You know the way back now ai" she asked and i nodded

She came back with the set of warmers inside a food basket so I collected it from her and served what I taught he might like,

I served plenty because Haidar was there and i also asked her to help me with something i can fetch mine too,

I finished and hurried back and arranged the table,

Immediately I finished i saw them coming down since the dining room here is downstairs unlike the one in Zaria

"Jadwaaa" Haidar called as he came down the stairs with Sultan behind him frowning,

I hurried and served them and left because I don't want to have a weird conversation with him when Sultan was there,

After some time I went and packed the plates from the table and that was when I noticed Sultan didn't eat much but that is not my business,

I washed them and arranged the warmers back and waited since Ummah Hauwa said dinner will be ready at 7,

I decided to do some cleanings just so i dont sit idle and bored,

"Pest" i said quietly when i heard Haidar calling my name and bursting the kitchen door open

"Lemme help" he offered but I refused so he sat on the kitchen chair and was looking at me working making it so uncomfortable,

I finished and sat there waiting for time and immediately i saw it was 6:55 I picked the bag and was about to leave when Haidar asked

"Where are you going to?"

"To get food for you and sultan" I answered struggling with my slippers

"Can i come too? Im bored" he said with a puppy eyes and i just rolled my eyes and nodded

We walked there quietly and he waited outside and i got the food and we went back,

The next day was the coronation and it wasn't a must for me to go so i used that time to relax because I wasn't feeling too good, i was having serious cramps,

I arranged dinner before they came back so when i heard noises outside indicating that they were back i gave them some time before I managed to go and serve them,

I met Haidar eating alone without sultan so i looked at him and then back at the table

"He said you should serve him in his room because he is too tired to sit here"

I didn't wait to hear more I picked the plate and started serving him trying so hard to hide my pains because the cramps were getting bad,

"Are you okay?" Haidar asked because I think he noticed how i was painfully biting my bottom lip

"Yes yes" i said and picked the plate and went to sultan's room,

I knocked before entering and walked slowly to the table opposite his bed and dropped it,

I think he was in the bathroom because I didn't see him anywhere around the room,

I walked slowly but immediately i took two steps my cramps stopped me from walking and I couldn't help myself so i had to bend there and started crying because I didn't have any pain reliever,

"Jadwa what's wrong?" I strange yet familiar voice asked, and I could swear it belonged to sultan..

"Did he just say Jadwa correctly?..............//
