Jadwa

I'm starting to feel free around Sultan because he's making it hard for me to keep a straight face in front of him now,

"Jadwa come help me with something" he said and I dropped the bowl i was holding and rushed to his side

He was on his phone so when i went he turned his phone screen to my side

He showed me pictures of 2 shoes before saying "which would you recommend?" He asked I blinked before saying "both?"

"Sure?" He asked and i said yes

"Okay" he whispered and i went back to continue what i was doing,

"Do you think what Nate did is fair" he asked in the middle of the sentence i was reading

"Where did you learn how to read?" He asked again

"Sorry, 2 questions at a time" he said smiling

"No what Nate did isn't fair at all"

"I learnt how to read in school"

"Amazing" he said sitting up to look at me

"School?" He asked as if he doesn't believe

"Yes your highness, I stopped in ss3" I confessed and he nodded and collected the book from me

"Why do you blame Nate?" He asked

I didn't even know where the confidence came from but I spoke up,

"He's not supposed to leave her when she confessed her feelings to him" i said and he studied my face and spoke up

"Really?" He asked and i nodded

"I see" he said "you know a lot about love huh?" He asked and i smiled

"No" I confessed

"We'll see than" "good night Jadwa"so i stood and left his room immediately,

The next day Hanny was going back to abuja so she stopped to say bye and brought a small traveling bag and gave me

"See you Jadwa, I'll borrow you some time to come and spend 1 week for me in Abuja" she said and I laughed

I escorted them to the car and pecked Farrah on the forehead before handing her to her mother

I went back in and took the traveling bag opening it to see what was inside,

"Oh God" i exclaimed when i saw what she packed for me,

There were 2 skirts and tops, 2 flats and perfumes and 5 packs of pad

"Thank you so much" i said even though she wasn't here,

I was rushing with a cup of water n my hand when I bumped into Sultan

"I'm so sorry" i said composing myself

"It's okay Jadwa where are you rushing to?" He asked

"Kitchen" i said smiling

We're trying to be friends now and its kinda weird but we're both getting used to it,

"Okay" he said and went up to change since I spilled water all over the one he was wearing,

The former Sultan would have killed me for doing that but the new Sultan is cool with it

I was reading his book for him that night and he asked me again,

"Do you think kelly really love Nate?" He asked sitting up to look at me

"I guess" I managed to say

"Guess?" He asked raising his brows

"Probability?" He asked and I thought a bit before saying

"80"

"Why 80?" He asked and I chuckled before speaking up

"There is no way Kelly would have confessed that she loves him if it wasn't true"

"Ummm Jadwa the love expert" he said and we both chuckled

"So tell me, can you confess your love to a guy?" He asked and i was speechless

"I...i.. d....don't...rea...really..k...k..know" I stuttered and he laughed and said "okay okay, dont choke"

"You said you're from?????" He asked and I blurted "jigawa" immediately

"Which part of jigawa?"

"Gumel"

"Wow, my mum is from Hadeja" he said and i nodded and smiled

I started feeling sleepy and he noticed so he said "good night Jadwa" as usual which was my clue to leave as i off his light,

He left for work the next day and i had nothing to do, Amla was busy so I decided to do some cleanings even though the house was already clean,

I'm starting to get used to his company a lot now I don't know why,

I don't usually have appetite to eat most of the time i just eat for eating sake so throughout today I didn't eat anything because I wasn't hungry,

"Why aren't you eating?" He asked when I served him lunch and I smiled and said "I'm not hungry your highness"

"Jadwa" he called

"Do you know what I've noticed about you?" He asked and i said "no"

"You hate eating"

I taught it was a joke so I smiled but he kept a straight face and I immediately rotated my head and said no

"Sit and eat" he ordered and immediately i sat down and fetched a little spaghetti and was about to start eating when he got up and added more for me "finish up" he said

I ate and ate till i got so full but the food was still much on my plate so I looked at him and didn't know when I pouted,

"Okay you tried" he said and I happily got up and packed the plates to the kitchen,

"What's your favorite movie?" He asked when i came out of the kitchen

"Huh" I exclaimed

"I don't have 1" I replied and he nodded, the doorbell rang so i went to see who it was

"Mubarak yau kai kazo?" I asked when i saw the person behind the door, it was the other guard that use to come and pick sultan's clothes for washing

"Eh wlhy 'Yar Fulani"

"Okay toh let me bring them for you" i said and hurried upstairs to pack them

"Nagode sossai" he said and left,

The cloud was so dark and I knew that rain will start falling at any moment and as if the rain heard me it started falling very hard,

I wanted to rush out then I remembered how sick I became the last time I entered,

I sat in the kitchen looking at the rain through the window then my mind told me that i can just play with it from the door I don't need to fully enter the rain,

So I opened the back door gently and stood by the wall playing with the water, it felt so nice that I didn't even know when i entered,

"If you don't stay so long the way you stayed the last time you won't get sick" I mentally assured myself as i tied my scarf very well and entered the rain,

Not so long i heard my name being called so I hurried and went back in closing the back door quickly then I started rushing so that i can change my clothes and immediately I slipped and was about to fall when someone caught me,

"Careful" Sultan said holding me

I nodded biting my lips nervously because i was wet and because of the contact

He kept starring at me and I don't know for how long because i stared right back at him looking deep into his eyes where i saw something I couldn't clearly understand,

I then coughed and he released me immediately saying "go and change" in a voice that came out more as a whisper and i nodded and left immediately with my heart beating rapidly as if it was going to leave my chest......................
