Throughout that day I've been thinking of the trouble Sultan might get in because of me so i decided that the best thing to do is to return this bracelet to him because it seems the bracelet is too expensive judging by the way Ayush lost it when she saw me with it,

I gathered all the courage in me and went to meet him in the parlor

"Jadwa ya dai?" He asked grinning widely when he saw me

"Um fine" i said gently kneeling down

"Um your highness?" I called then I remembered he hated it but I've already said it

"Sorry, please don't be angry" i said gently handing the bracelet back

"What is it?" He asked sitting up to look at me

"Nothing, i just wanted to return this" i said opening my hand

"I appreciate the gift i really do but I don't deserve something as expensive as this" i added

"Whats the meaning of all this?" He asked again sounding pissed

"I saw how ayush threw a tantrum about it and i don't want to have issues with her or any other person who is above me in any way"

"Jadwa" he called quietly collecting the bracelet

"Who gave the bracelet to you?"

I looked up at him and replied "you"

"Then promise me something" he pleaded

Then he gently grabbed my hand clipped the bracelet on my wrist,

He didn't release the hand still then he said

"Promise me no matter what you won't ever remove this bracelet from your hand"

I looked at him and didn't know what to say because if i say I wasn't scared of what Ayush did yesterday I would be lying

"Please"

I nodded and looked at the bracelet

"Nothing is too expensive for me to give to you Jadwa, you deserve more than you could imagine"

I didn't understand what he meant by that but i nodded anyways,

"We're going back to Zaria tomorrow" he announced

"Thank God" i mentally said because i was anxious to leave here,

I lied that i wasn't feeling good because I didn't want to go for todays event and I'm so happy sultan backed me up on this,

The next day early in the morning we left for Zaria,

I was sleeping and didn't even know when we got there and as usual he didn't wake me up so even when I opened my eyes and saw him starring i just smiled and opened the door,

Immediately i got down from the car they drove him off so instead of going inside also I decided to check Amla

I didn't want to tell Amla about me and Sultan and also don't want her to know where i got this bracelet from and I promised not to even try removing it,

"Amla" i called and hugged her from behind

"Jadwa manya manya" she said turning to hug me back carefully not wanting to rub the flour on me

"I missed you wlhy" she added washing her hands

"Ke i missed you more" "what are you making?" I asked touching the dough

"Chin chin ne fa" she said

"But I'm not frying it now" she explained dragging me out of the kitchen

"Whats up with you?" She asked looking at me and as if she pressed a switch on me i started telling her everything she missed apart from Sultan and the bracelet,

I tried hiding my hand from her since but God caught me

"Wow Jadwa" she gasped holding my hand

"This is nice where did you get this from?" She asked

"Um from sultan's sister i..... i....s.. she gave me her baby to baby sit that day and..... and after she...g ...gave me" i lied and was mentally begging God to make her buy it

"Thats so nice of her" she said smiling

"You said she pushed you?" She asked again because i told her that when i was coming a girl in the kitchen was rude to me

"Yes" i said

She asked for the girls description and I described her immediately

"Abida!!" She shouted

"Who is she?" I asked

"She was sultan's former maid and also one of the wife's minion"

"Forget about her kinji" she said so i nodded and we talked for a while before I decided to go back,

"Come and collect the chin chin later"

Immediately I entered i saw sultan's sister watching in the parlor,

"Good evening" I greeted

"Evening" she replied standing up to meet me

"We haven't done a proper introduction" she said smiling then she stretched her hands

"Jamila" she said

I gently accepted "I'm Jadwa"

"Hm so its true" she said looking at the bracelet on my wrist

I withdrew my hand immediately hiding it behind me,

"You're the girlfriend?" She asked still smiling making her more creepy

"Well good bye" she said picking her bag to leave

Jamila's POV

"Halima, its true" i said over the phone,

"This is absurd" she shouted over the phone

"Whats the next move?" I asked because i was like a minion there since he warned her never to set foot in his house again,

"We'll find a way out" she said and ended the phone,

I left ummahs place late and hungry, even though she asked me to wait and eat I didn't because i know Jadwa will cook dinner,

I entered slowly into the kitchen and stood by the door to look at her,

She was putting the food in the warmer then she stopped and picked something from the cabinet and sprinkled in the food then she returned it,

"What?" I mentally asked myself

"What was that?" I asked startling her making her to drop the cover she was holding,

"N.......Nothing" she said stammering and I instantly knew she was lying

I walk past her opening the cabinet to bring out what she hid,

"What is this?" I asked quietly but she didn't want to talk

"Shit" i said throwing the thing and I turned and left the kitchen because I didn't want to do something I'll regret,

Throughout that night I couldn't sleep I kept thinking about what i saw and was trying so hard to make myself believe that she didn't do anything,

The next morning I dressed and went to my fathers chamber since he asked for me

"Allah yaja zamani daddy good morning" I greeted

"Good morning Aaban" he greeted in his low voice which could barely be heard but something in his tone wasn't right,

We sat there quietly before my mum arrived,

"Lafiya?" She asked when she met us both sitting

"Aaban" he called and i looked up and answered "Na'am"

"What am I hearing about this girl who works for you?" He asked making my heart beat faster and faster

"His maid?" Umma asked but he said nothing because i know he was only waiting for me to talk,

I didn't know what to say so i kept quiet because I didn't want to say something i will regret and also didn't want to say what i saw yesterday in his front,

"I can see you're close to her" he said then he smiled "i heard" he corrected,

"It has never happened before" he said

His words stings but I didn't even know what to say because i cant defend her now,

"You can make the orders" he said to her and got up to leave without even touching his food

"I taught you said you got her yourself?" I asked sounding so pissed

"I did Aaban but I don't understand what is happening" she explained

"What won't even happen Ummah, She's with them, i saw her putting something in my food yesterday" i told her putting my head on the table

"You can send anyone from your palace to tell her to leave, i have issues to sort" i said and got up to leave

"Not today Ummah, I taught she was different" i said and left immediately not knowing where to go to even so i just decided to go to the second person i trust, Didi........
