"What is she doing in my room?" I asked immediately I entered my mum's chambers

I didn't even care about the people around because I don't know what the hell they always do there

She whispered something to them and like flies they started leaving one by one

She looked up at me and gave me a warm smile, the only smile in this entire world that makes me calm

She patted a space on her chair directing me to come and sit down,

I removed and shoes and went close to her,

I removed my cap and knelt to receive her blessings, she gently held my head with her soft hands gently praying for me before pecking my forehead,

I got up and sat close to her,

She turned and faced me gently grabbing both my hands and then she looked into my eyes,

" 'Dan Albarka" she said gently

"Whats wrong?" She asked and i was about to talk when she raised my hand used her index finger to shush me

"Deep breaths" she said

God does she know how to calm me down

"What is she doing in my room?" I asked her quietly

"She's your new maid Sultan" she said putting a grape fruit into her mouth

"Why didn't i know about her?"

"You know how they all used to turn out ummah"

"Is it necessary?"

"One question at a time my baby" she said

"I chose her myself and I promise you she's different" she said patting my head

"No one can hurt you Aaban my angel, my prayer is always with you" she said using her thumb to massage my hand

"Let's do a proper introduction koh?" She asked and i nodded

Whatever mood i am either sad or angry, Ummah is my happiness stimulator

She was there for me when no one was, and I listen to whatever she says because i have no other way to repay what she's done for me in this dunya,

Since she cant get rid of the girl, i have to make her get rid of herself

Jadwa

"Jadwa" Mami called and I smiled and greeted her

"Good afternoon Mami"

"Jadwa" she said looking at my eyes

"Lafiya?" She asked and i nodded

"Kai na ne ke ciwo" i said which isn't completely a lie

"Sannu kinji, muje idan muka fito ki tsaya zan baki magani"

I nodded and followed her

We entered and i saw him with a wide smile plastered on his face,

This is the first day I've ever seen him smile which was for few seconds because immediately he saw me and Mami coming in he returned his normal emotionless face,

"Good afternoon your highness" i said kneeling down

"Jadwa koh?" She asked

"Yes your highness"

"Well welcome to the palace" she said and I whispered a thank you

Then there was silence for over a minute before she started again

"Allah yaja zamanin ka yarima 'dan sarki jikan sarki, afua nake nema dan nayi babban laifi" Mami said looking down

"This is Jadwa" the queen said

"She is your new maid and i know thats okay with you koh?" She asked

I still didn't look up to see whatever was happening

"Yauwa 'dan Albarka" i heard her say

"Jadwa" she called and I answered with a quick Na'am

"I know the Jakkadiya already told you everything you need to know, and I don't know why but i trust you Jadwa, and I'm very sure that I won't regret my choice, will i?" She asked

"In shaa Allah i will try my best" I replied quietly

"Thats it i guess" she said and Mami got up and I followed her immediately after bowing to the queen

That was when I noticed how he sat down quietly like a kid, if someone told you he was the one that snapped at me hours ago you wont believe,

"Gashi nan" mami handed me a pack of panadol extra

"Nagode" i said and left the chambers

The next morning I stood there contemplating whether or not to do what I usually do,

But after the talk with the queen and Mami I decided to just go ahead,

He was sleeping when I dropped the tea,

I served him breakfast and left to clean his room

Everything have been going on great,

I haven't even heard his voice since the other day and I'm so glad about that.

......................................... "Abuja?" A very shocked Amla asked

I nodded and just smiled

Mami just informed me this morning that Yarima is going to abuja for a conference and i am supposed to go with him for some weird reasons.......

- He doesn't trust anyone apart from his mother so since she totally trust me, he believe that I won't poison him.

So i have to taste anything served to him before he eats it 🙄🙄 "if it is poisoned low class Jadwa will die and nobody cares"

"I heard there are maids in the royal house in Abuja" Amla said

"Mami said they are there but my job there is to handle his food and clothing" I replied her

"Wow" she said nodding her head

It's Thursday and we're supposed to leave for abuja tomorrow,

When i was coming aunty Salma didn't give me any box for my clothes so I had to use the torn local bag that i came with,

I didn't have clothes here so i packed the two uniforms i have and the 2clothes i came with,

The next morning i woke up earlier than everyone and dressed up so even when the alarm rang i was just rushing to go into the palace,

"Bye Jadwa" Amla said hugging me

I hugged her back and left

When i got to the main gate a convoy was already outside so I entered inside the because I didn't know what i was supposed to do,

I hurried and made his tea and took it in and surprisingly he was already up maybe because he was traveling,

"Pancakes" he said as he was combing his hair

"Rude" I thought and left

The way he asks me something's sometimes is very funny he doesn't even care if i heard it or not and he will never repeat it so my mind is always open when I'm around him because i hate his rage.

He finished the whole Pancakes i made with strawberry flavored tea,

I finished clearing and washing the plates then i came out to clean the table,

"Jadwa" i heard Mami's voice

"Ina kwana Mami" I greeted her and she returned it with her warm smile

We talked for a bit

"Allah ya kiyaye hanya" she said and i smiled

He was in the biggest car alone at the back with one guard sitting in the front seat,

The cars in the front were filled with guards too

I was wondering where i was going to seat when a voice brought me back from my thought

I sat in the front seat of one of the cars with two guards at the back

"Who will even try to steal a grown ass man?" I asked myself because the guards were too much

Throughout the journey i was sleeping because I honestly needed it,

I didn't even know we arrived until I heard a knock on the window my head was resting,

"Mun iso" one guard said and I yawned nodding my head

"Wow" i said quietly

The house was a mansion, like it was so big and beautiful and I couldn't help but admire,

We entered in and my mouth almost dropped on the floor because of the beauty of the interior



My stomach started growling because I didn't eat anything today,

There were maids inside the house everyone busy doing their jobs

I didn't see Sultan since when i came in he probably entered before me

"Jadwa?" An elderly looking woman called

"Naam?" I answered slowly

"An sha hanya, sannu da zuwa" she said and i smiled

She now guided me to where i was supposed to say telling me how things are supposed to go and showing me the kitchen and other places,

"Kiyi Sallah sai kizo kitchen koh?" She said and I nodded

The room wasn't actually bad, it was a quarters behind the building I guess thats where the maids stay,

I prayed and went to the kitchen to meet Ammah the elderly woman i met earlier who was the head of maids here,

The work was like normal palace work kind of,

I arranged the dining and served him, waited for him to finish eating then i took the dishes to the kitchen before i sat down to eat too,

His meeting was tomorrow morning,

Ammah told me we might leave tomorrow immediately after the meeting,

I arranged his breakfast that morning then I decided to sweep and the parlor and dining since there was still time before he came out

I was mopping when I heard the doorbell ringing, i opened it and a guard greeted me and handed me the suit Sultan was supposed to wear for the meeting ,

"Stuart Hughes Diamond Edition" was written on the label and i just nodded and started walking slowly to take the suit to his room because by the looks of it the suit was very expensive, it was well ironed and hanged,

I didn't know how it happened but I tripped over the mopping bucket causing the whole water to pour on the suit and there is bleach in the water...............
