"So, are ya gonna start talkin?" You hear her speak.

Maybe it was because you were so immersed with Alice, and all the fun you were having. But whatever it was, it made you forget about a specific inmate.

And given the position you were in now, you definitely regretted your ignorance.

"Wife?" Aria spoke again, ominousity in her voice. "That... thing. It referred to itself as your wife, din'it?"

She moved behind you, and placed a hand on your shoulder, before giving it a more than gentle squeeze.

"Tell me... who's that bitch?" She asked.

She may be intimidating you in a strong way, but you couldn't stand what she just called Alice.

Clenching your fists, you turn around with a soft glare. Along the with darkness of the room, your eyes meet her violet one. Though, she still has her right eye covered by her bangs, she kept her anger glistening over the visible one.

From the last time you met her, something had changed in her, you could tell.

But you didn't care.

"First off, her name is Alice. And second, I've got nothing to explain to you" you spat out, fueled with determination to defend your wife.

"Again... again with the 'wife' shit!" She grit her teeth, before grabbing you by the neck.

"Why won't ya answer me!?" She yelled, as she tackled you over the piled up clothes.

"Who is she!? And why. Is she. Calling herself yar WIFE!?" She wailed, her voice dipping into a deeper tone. It almost sent shivers in your gut.

Out of the dim lighting in your cell room, her violet eyes flared with intense loathing. Not to mention her body, feeling so hot, like it was scorching with hate.

You weren't sure if she was gonna let you off with a few punches or kicks this time.

Out of all the time you've spent with her, this was the most uncomfortable one yet.

But you couldn't afford to crumble under her. Because you knew that's exactly what she wanted.

"Who ever Alice is..." you grunt, feeling her fingers meet at the back of your neck.

"It has nothing to do with you!" You yell, crashing your knuckles against her nose.

"Ahh!" She yelps, as she let goes of your neck, to cover her nose. You feel blood rush back to your skull, as you take a deep breath.

However, not wanting to lose momentum, you roll over to your side, tossing her off you.

"Dammit, that was close" you mutter, as you stagger back to feet. Rubbing your neck, you turn around to look at her, but you freeze in terror-

With her hand covering most of her face, her eye, visible between her two fingers pierce onto you. She also had blood trickling down through the gaps between knuckles.

You feel a shift in the room's atmosphere. Never before, have you felt so much anger from someone. And the fact that all the anger was directed towards you, put you on a fighting spot.

'Maybe I went a bit too far... nearly breaking her nose was uncalled for' you wonder, hoping to stop this before it gets anymore messy.

"Listen... you have to calm down" you tell her, trying to sound reasonable.

"I didn't mean to hit you like tha-"

"Heh~"

You feel an invisible weight pull you down, as she gets up to her feet. The dim orange light made a silhouette of her lower body, as her torso blended in with the shadow.

"Calm down..? Hehehe" she chuckled darkly, as she let her hands fall to her sides. You see blood coating her left fist, as it drips to the concrete floor, drop by drop.

"I... I didn't mean it in any-" offensive way, is what you wanted to say. However-

"Calm down? CALM DOWN!? HAHAHAHA!!!" Her laughter reverberated throughout your cell room.

You instinctively take a step back, as she continued laughing. Though, they sounded more like screams.

"If you think I'm scared, you..." your attempt to put on a bold face goes into dust, as her prolonged laughter grew louder.

"Tch!" You click your tongue, feeling a bit frustrated from how inevitable her instability was.

"For fuck's sake, shut up!" You scream.

... And to your surprise, she actually does.

Her laughter came to a sudden pause, and she just stood there, unmoving.

Even with her top being coated in darkness, you could still make out the empty expression she was staring you with.

You wait for her to talk, not trusting your words. Actually, you just didn't know what to say anymore. Aria was way too unbalanced right now for you to say anything, without regretting later on.

Of course, there was another option available. The door was just a few feet behind you...

'If she chases me down... maybe I can count on Elena... or Chara to lend me some help...' you decide.

However...

'No... no, that won't do... that will only...' enlarge the gap between you both, making Aria hate you even more, and thus, promise of conflict in future.

It was one of the things your 'wife' thought you about-

'Running away from a problem only gives it more time to grow stronger... right Alice?' it was almost scary how her words remained in the back of your head, like she was here with you in the present moment, guiding you with her mysteriously accurate wisdom.

'Right...' you assure yourself, and look back at Aria, as she hadn't moved in quite a while.

"Aria..." you call out, feeling a bit weird on addressing her by her name.

She doesn't move, but you could say she was listening.

"Just... why are you so mad at me? Like, do you have any reason to hate me so much? I mean... I kinda get it that beating up an inmate is a common thing in prison, but-"

"Hate?"

"Huh?" You stared at her, puzzled by her oblivious tone.

"What..?" 'Just what's her deal?'

"Heh~ I don't hate you... I'm just heart broken" she giggled again, this time in a much lower tone.

"Heart broken? W... and why is that?" You ask, feeling like you're finally going somewhere with her.

"'Why'?" She repeated your question.

"How d'ya have the nerve to ask that? Hmmmm?" She questioned, sounding annoyed, as she whispered-

"While I was here strugglin... ya where..."

Though, you barely heard a word.

You just stare at her silhouette for a while, wondering if what you where about to do is really worth it.

But after that, you were done hesitating.

"Listen, I... can we not do this?" You speak.

She remained silent, not showing any reaction. Assuming that she was listening, you continue.

"I don't want to make an enemy out of you... like, is there something I can do to fix this... whatever you have, again me?"

You feel a weight building up on your chest, not knowing if her answer would be positive at all.

'Seriously though, if she isn't willing to stop being bitch, then I wouldn't mind taking on Alice's offer.' You think, remembering what Alice had once told you.

"If you want... I can hurt her for you".

You hoped it wouldn't come down to that, as you didn't quite like the idea of Alice dirtying her hands.

"Ya wanna make up?" You hear Aria speak, surprise evident in her tone.

"Yes" you answer.

"Ya really wanna... hehehe... really? Are ya sure? Heh~ or are ya just a lot more gullible than I thought?" She asked, her voice taking on a much calmer edge.

"Wha... no, no I'm not gullible. I just..." you struggle to find your words.

Thinking back on it, getting on her good side did seem a bit... unnecessary.

But-

"Heh~ alright then" Aria said.

You feel relieved, happy that you somehow managed to get through to her.

However...

"C'mere"

"Huh?"

"...... I said, come closer" she rephrased herself, though, this time she sounded more... like when she drugged you with donuts.

You gulped down, as you feel uncertain about her request.

'Maybe she just wants to give me a hug? Hehe.... yeah, no.' Any attempt at being optimistic was useless, as Aria just gave you no room for hope. Hope for anything good at all.

'And here I am, trying befriend her...' you sigh, a bit disappointed by your judgement.

'Maybe now is a good time to yeeEEE!?' your mind crashes halfway through, as you feel her grab your shoulder.

Looking up, she was indeed standing in front of you. Looking down at you with predatory eyes.

Though, you couldn't make out the expression on her face, as all her facial features were hidden amongst the shadows cast against it.

"Ah-" with a strong grip, she pulls you closer, and presses you against her.

Your eyes partly widen, as confusion builds up within you.

"Don' move... for yar own sake" she whispers into your ears, as she gently wraps her arms around, holding you in place.

'Wh... what is she...' you try to think of an explanation for her sudden compassion, but fail to come up with any.

"Aren't ya gonna hug back?" She asks, as her arms twitch around you for a split second.

"S... sorry..." feeling conflicted, you place a hand around her waist, followed by the other.

You just stand there for a while, trying to make sense out of the sudden embrace.

'Is... is this okay?' You wonder, as a part of you is ready for her to snap any moment.

You stay silent, and so does she.

'She's not even saying anything...' for a moment, you consider pulling away, but remain still in fear.

You stand there, completely oblivious to what she is feeling. In fact, you aren't sure how you feel about this either.

'Dammit... she is always....' your thoughts slow down, one by one, as your mind stills.

All the noises fade into dark, as only two things tunes into your senses.

The sounds of her long breaths, and the heaving of her chest against yours.

You can't see anything else, as your gaze is locked onto her shoulder.

Slowly, her heartbeats become vivid, as you feel like falling into a deep trance. And with each beat, you go deeper.

Her heartbeats gets louder, overshadowing your awareness of everything else... even the fact that her body way growing cold.

Your eyes waver, as your eyelids start feeling a bit heavier.

Your sense of smell is nearly gone, as if the air was making your nostrils numb.

But, almost from the back of your throat, you recognize a very faint scent.

A very subtle scent, yet very present.

It lingered in your cellroom, filling every corner with a strange distaste.

It smelt bitter... almost metallic.

"You want to make up?"

"Wha-ARGH!"

Intense pain shoots through your skull, and your vision flashes red, as she sinks her fangs into your neck.

The pain pulls you out of the trance, as you come back to your senses. Your body convulsed, as you tried pushing her off you.

But it proves useless, as her grip around you tightens, nearly crushing your spine and ribs. She effortlessly lifts you off the ground by few inches, as your legs flail around, and try to kick her.

Your try to scream, due to pain, or just a cry for help, but the pain from your ribs holds you down.

You are filled with nothing but regret, as you feel your blood trickle down your shoulder, staining your shirt, and dampening your skin.

Your feel your arms grow heavier, as your blood drips down to the floor.

Your body finally gets too tired to fight back, as your vision darkens.

Your arms fall limp, as you hover over the ground like a corpse.

On the edge of consciousness, you feel her unlatch her fangs from your wet, bloody neck.

You barely feel anything, as she tosses you back over the piled up clothes. You feel more and more blood escape your punctured neck, as your body twitches a bit.

Out from your fading consciousness, you recognize a pair of eyes looming over you. While one is a dimly lit purple, the other is a silver-ish blue... with a slit pupil.

"Let's make up" you hear her speak. Though, her voice was nearly unrecognizable at this point.

"Let's become one... let's become happy".
