You leant back in the chair, sighing.

Good going (Y/n). You should've listened to yourself earlier. You scolded as you strained your eyes to see anything in the room. There was nothing, it was just dark.

How'd they get Nadia? Where is she?

You were worried that the princes were going to do something to her despite them saying the wouldn't. Your hands pulled against the restraints before going back to hanging limply. How long were they really going to keep you there?

You sighed again and your stomach growled.

I guess that's what I get for eating a small dinner and no breakfast. You thought bitterly.

You sat there for about an hour before you started getting restless. There was nothing to do and nothing to look at. You really were tempted to find a way out of your restraints, but the thought of Nadia kept you from doing so.

I wish Micah would come to get me. You thought before shaking your head. If Micah came, you would ask him to get Nadia out of the castle, not help you.

Another hour passed and you started fidgeting in your seat. Your stomach growled more, and you silently hoped that they did would you food.

Another hour. You really couldn't handle sitting still for so long and you kept seeing things move out of the corner of your eye.

Another. There was definitely something in the room with you. You always tried to catch sight of it, but it disappeared when you turned your head. Your agitation grew with your lack of hunger and lack of seeing what was keeping you company.

2 hours. You'd had enough.

"Connor! Aiden!" You yelled, waiting for them to come from some dark corner. They didn't and you furrowed your brow. Something shifted in the far corner of the room. You squinted your eyes, catching a glimpse of a tall thin figure.

"C-Connor? A-Aiden?" You called out, quieter this time. You continued staring at the figure, almost swearing it was coming towards you.

"Micah?" You asked, trying to get the person to reveal their identity. Silence.

"Alex? Nadia?" You started squirming again, watching the figure slowly approach.

"Answer me!" You yelled as it drew closer. You squinted and saw sharp teeth. They seemed to be dripping something. That was no one you knew.

"Wait! Stay back!" You screamed as you pulled against the restraints. "Stop!" It didn't listen and slowly came towards you as if waiting for the right moment to pounce on you.

"Stop! Stay back!" You cried, ducking your head down. Suddenly there were hands on your shoulders.

You jumped and screamed, "Please! Don't kill me! I don't want to die!"

"(Y/n). Shhh, it's okay!" A voice said, but you could barely hear it.

"I don't want to die!" You repeated hysterically, tears gathering in your eyes.

"What did she see?" Someone murmured as they shook you. "Hey! (Y/n)! Look at us!"

You slowly felt the restraints on your wrists fall off and you dug your nails into the hands on your arms.

"Ow!" Someone hissed, "What was that for!?" The hands disappeared.

You slowly looked up, your eyes wild.

"(Y/n). It's okay. We're here. Calm down, it was all in your mind." Another person soothed and a face slowly came back into focus. Aiden.

"It was going to kill me..." You whispered, your eyes wide.

"We won't let anything happen to you." You turned to see Connor smiling at you. "We'll protect you. Like knights. Okay?"

You furrowed your brow, Knight...Someone's supposed to be my knight. You grasped for the name, but nothing came.

"O-okay." You said and Aiden pulled you up from the chair.

The three of you walked up a set of stairs and down a hallway until they stopped in front of your door. Slowly they opened it, and you stood in the doorway looking at what sat beside your bed. It was another cart full of food.

You ran over and inspected it, already practically drooling at the mouth.

"I think she's hungry." Connor laughed as he came over and forced you to sit on the bed.

You practically bounced in your seat as you watched them pile food onto your plate. You were so hungry.

"Here you go, dear!" Aiden said happily, handing you the plate before sitting beside you.

You happily started eating the variety of meats and vegetables, vaguely noticing the twins eyes on you.

"That's weird." Connor murmured as he came over and stood in front of you.

You looked up at him, confused. "What's wrong?"

He lifted your chin and ran a finger down your neck, "Your bruises. If anything, they should be getting darker, but they've almost completely faded."

You furrowed your brow as you tried to figure out what he meant by 'bruises'. Your mind was hazy and not much was standing out.

"Wait, you're right." Aiden said as he started looking as well. "I guess we'll have to make more."

You glanced at him, "Wait, what? I'm not so sure about that."

Connor looked at you innocently, "Why not (Y/n)?"

You furrowed your brow again, "I remember...not liking something like that."

Aiden laughed, "Nonsense. You like it. You're thinking of something else."

"No, I'm fairly sure I'm thinking of the right thing." You paused for a moment, "It was...this morning right? On the floor. I couldn't move."

Connor stared at you in silence and you suddenly felt awkward.

"You're so silly (Y/n). You must be mixing reality and your dreams up. I know you had a nasty scare down in the basement which probably jumbled your memories, but you enjoyed it earlier. You told us yourself." Aiden smiled.

You raised your eyebrows before something snapped in your head.

"Micah."

Connor growled, "What's he got to do with all of this?"

You thought for a moment, "He's my knight. When you said that in the basement, something that was said to me similarly popped out. It was Micah."

Aiden forced another smile, "How....kind of him."

You smiled, "If you give me a few moments, I'm sure I can remember everything else."

"No!" Connor and Aiden yelled as they both grabbed your shoulders

"I-I mean..." Aiden trailed off.

"We'll tell you everything." Connor spoke up as his gaze bore into you.

"But if you give me a few minutes you won't have-"

His grip on you tightened, "Why don't you just eat, dear?"

You raised your eyebrows before nodding and going back to eating. "Wait. Nadia. Where is she?"

"Y-You remember her?" Aiden asked, glancing at his brother worriedly.

"Yes. She was visiting the palace right? Can I go see her?" You asked hopefully.

"I-I'm afraid not. She went back to the village an hour ago." Connor answered.

"Oh...Okay!"

Connor pulled his brother off the bed and brought him to the corner of the room.

"Why is she remembering things so quickly?" He hissed as he glanced at you.

"I-I'm not sure! But at this rate she's going to remember everything!" Aiden replied as his face contorted in worry. "(Y/n)'s gonna hate me!"

Connor rolled his eyes before walking back towards you.

You looked up at him happily, "Oh! Connor I remember something else!"

"D-Did you now?" He asked, forcing a smile to his face.

You scoffed inwardly. You remembered everything at this point. After remembering Nadia, everything else came back.

"Mhm! You're parents!" The temperature in the room dropped.

"Why you little-" Connor raised his hand, but Aiden stopped him.

"Brother. She doesn't realize what she's doing."

No, I'm fairly sure I do. I know exactly what I'm doing. You smiled inwardly.

Connor sighed, "You're right. (Y/n). I'm glad you remember something, but our parents are not very important, okay?"

You forced a look of confusion and nodded. "I'm done with the food." You handed your plate over to him and he absentmindedly set it on the cart.

"Now we get to have fun!" Aiden exclaimed and sat down beside you.

"Fun?" You asked and flinched as he ran a finger down your cheek.

"Maybe she'll outwardly enjoy it this time." Connor murmured as he sat down on your other side. He leaned his head on your shoulder.

"What's going on?" You asked, panicking inwardly.

"We have to mark you (Y/n)!" Aiden said happily. "That way Micah knows who you belong to. Us!"

You gagged internally, "I belong to you? That sounds really possessive. What a good funny joke Aiden!" A laugh escaped your lips.

"Not a joke dear!" He kissed your neck quickly and pulled back to see your face go multiple shades of red.

"A-Aiden!" You stuttered and saw him grin.

"I'm here too, dear." Connor whispered into your ear before he nibbled on it.

Enough! You screamed internally. But how would you get out of this situation in a quick and efficient manner. An idea slowly formed.

"Connor..." You gasped and you moved your hand to cup his cheek. You grabbed a handful of Aidens shirt and pulled him towards you. At the last moment you yanked him towards you and jumped off the bed. He collided with Connor and they both fell on the bed, stunned.

"No matter what you do to me, I'll always remember how vile you two are." You growled and ran out of the room, not giving them another moment to recollect their thoughts.
