Going shopping had significantly improved Alara's mood, she was less absorbed in what had happened to her shop and more enthralled by the vast selection of dresses surrounding her of every hue and cut possible, her fingers trailed between the racks of dresses, pausing every once in a while on one that peaked her interest.

It was adorable to say the least, the smile that graced her features every time she saw something that she liked I would never tire of. The excitement in those eyes refused to dwindle despite all that had happened.

"See anything you like?" I asked edging a little closer to her, she turned to face me.

"There's too many to choose from," she murmured her eyes reverting back to the dresses, "But I really want to wear navy." It was then her eyes were drawn to a particular dress it was navy just like she wanted and floor length with gold detailing curling up the bodice of thorns and roses.

She pulled it from the rack placing it in front of her and showing it off to me, "What do you think?"

I smirked, "I think," placed my hands on her waist and pulled her closer so there was only the dress keeping us apart, as I leaned down to her ear and whispered, "I'd like to see you try it on,"

She blushed furiously before adding, "I think that would be a good idea too," and scampering off to the changing rooms. She didn't take too long to slip into the dress but I was wholly unprepared for what I was about to see.

The moment she walked out, my breath caught in the back of my throat. She literally took my breath away as she twirled in that deep navy gown that flowed around her effortlessly, hugging her curves in all the right places. The neckline was high but that only accentuated her figure more, the gold detailing curving up across her chest in a fray of thorns and roses.

As she twirled around she playfully fluttered her eyelashes towards me, "What do you think?"

Her nimble fingers clutched at the edges of the dress, her brown skin glowing against the dark material.

"You look stunning, darling," again a blush bloomed across her features as she looked down not knowing what to do with the compliment.

"Really?"

"Would I lie to you, sweetheart?"

She laughed a little at the question before edging closer to me, "Of course not, you hate liars,"

"So is this the one you want to get?" I had to stop myself from saying she shouldn't look at any more dresses because she looked ethereal in this one.

"Absolutely," she manoeuvred her hand so she could grab the tag and pull it towards her. A soft gasp fell from her lips as she read the price, "Oh God, this is £2500, I can't get this,"

She was about to rush to take the dress off, not wanting to ruin such a beautiful piece that she thought she would never be able to get.

"Don't worry about the price, sweetheart, I'm buying," I responded.

"No way you have that much money to waste," she gawked at my statement.

"One, its not a waste because it's as if that dress was made for you, two I have money to spare, it will barely make a dent in my pocket,"

Her features morphed into one of surprise, "Are you sure? I could always get something a little less expensive,"

"Don't even think about it, you want this dress I know you do, so I'll get it for you,"

"Ok but I'm going to pay you back, I promise," she rushed out.

"You don't-"

She halted my speech, "I want to, I don't want you to think that I'm just using you for your money,"

"Darling, you can use me for whatever you want," a grin tugged at my lips before I pulled her into my side, hugging her softly feeling the silk material of the dress between my fingers, "And no, you don't have to pay me back, I won't accept it,"

"But-"

"No buts, you're going to be my wife, and I'm going to love spoiling you,"

She smiled broadly at my statement. After she had slipped out of the dress, we took it to the counter where the lovely cashier wrapped the dress carefully in plastic and tissue paper before pressing it carefully into a black box, "A great choice," she smiled at Alara who thanked her, before she turned to me.

"Cash or card sir?" she asked politely.

"Card," I said pulling out my card from my wallet, I swiped it against the card reader and wasn't surprised when it returned the message of approval.

"Have a lovely day," the lovely lady said to both of us as we made our out of the store.

Alara grasped my hand and pulled me towards the other side of the shopping mall to array of suit shops, "It's my turn to see you dress up," she laughed, "Now I've given you a show of dresses your going to show me what you look like all suited up,"

I chuckled lowly, "You make me sound like a super hero with the 'all suited up'."

"You, a superhero, I could never imagine you like that," she quipped.

"What because I'm too much of a villain?" I said studying her reaction carefully.

"Maybe to the world but to me..." she trailed off slightly suddenly becoming unsure of herself.

I gave her a soft smile, "Go on, to you what am I?"

She bit her lip trying to think of what to say next, "To me, your so much more than your flaws,"

The statement hit deep and for a moment I didn't know how to respond. To be to someone more than my mistakes was all I ever wanted and I had found that someone in Alara.

"Are you sure about that darling, is that how you really see me?" I was expecting her to retract her statement to go back on her words and realise that I was indeed the villain.

"Tell me Cameron, am I a liar?" she repeated words so similar to mine earlier.

"No, Alara, no you're not," I stated firmly.

All she said after that was, "Well then that's your answer," and that was all she needed to say.

We soon made out way into a suit shop named Vintage and it had an earthy smell of cologne throughout the shop.

As we looked through the designer pieces Alara added, "We either need to get you a navy tie or pocket square so we are matching,"

"Like a couple," I asked just to get a rise out of her.

It worked as it caused her to stall in her tracks just ahead of me and turn with an incredulous look turned consideration, "Yeah, I guess like a couple," she mumbled the next part, "Is that what we are?"

"That's up to you darling, but in the eyes of the world yes that is exactly what we are,"

She hummed in response but didn't further confirm if she did view us a couple. She distracted herself with looking through the suits before she pulled one out, it was sleek and black and came with a navy tie and pocket square just like she wanted.

"Now we need to decide if you're going to have a white or black shirt," she picked up both options and whilst squinting one eye as she held each up to me in turn.

She huffed, "I can't decide," she almost whined but caught herself as to not draw the attention of other customers.

I raised my eyebrow, "Do I get a choice in this?"

"No," she responded immediately and curtly.

She spent a few more minutes staring down each shirt as though if she glared at them long enough they would magically begin to speak and give her all the answers she needed.

It was after these laborious minutes she decided to grab one of the sales assistants, she looked at their name tag and then called out to them, "Excuse me Anna can you help me make a decision on which shirt to choose,"

"Of course hon," she responded brightly.

"Stand still," Alara commanded and I had no choice but to listen as both women studied me carefully. Just as Alara had, Anna held up each shirt against me respectively and it didn't take her long to decide.

"The black shirt definitely," she began to explain, "I feel like it just compliments his skin tone more and I feel like a white shirt is far too generic for a man like that,"

I smirked at her explanation before Alara added, "Please don't boost his ego anymore, he won't fit through the door if his head gets any bigger,"

"Hey that's mean," I responded.

To which she replied, "It's not mean, it's just the truth,"

I grumbled at the statement but was glad that she had chosen the black shirt, I always did look better in black.

"Thanks for the help Anna," Alara said and I also thanked her.

"Want to go check out?"

"Not before you try it on," Alara's eyes flickered from the suit to me, "Don't think I forgot, I want to see you all dressed up before we buy it,"

"Alright," she handed me the garments and I made my way to the dressing room. I peeled off my clothing and carefully slipped into the shirt and trousers, buttoning and fastening them before looping the tie over my shoulders and knotting it into a perfect triangular shape.

Once I had put everything on, I stared back at myself in the mirror for a moment. I had to admit that Alara had a good taste in suits, the suit looked sleek and smart on me, and it was the perfect size not too tight that it was difficult to move and not too loose that it didn't define any of my figure.

After giving myself a once over, I stepped out of the dressing room.

"What do you think?"
