Derek POV

You began to open your eyes as you were blinded by a bright light and you quickly shut your eyes.

Derek: Ah jeez what the hell.

Mickey: Wakey wakey

Derek: Oh for the love of god who hit me this time.

Mickey: A Swat member.

Derek: Well thats what I get for being disguised as a fuckin mask.

Mickey: Yea you had it coming.

Derek: So is everyone alright?

Mickey: Full evacuation with a few dozen injured, you helped out alot.

Derek: Yea well helping out got me here for a dumb reason so.

Mickey: Also on the plus side, you dont have to worry about school.

Derek: I'm so happy *annoyed*

Mickey: Come on, lets just go.

Derek: Yea yea whatever. As long as I can be in regular gear I'll be good.

You both exited the hospital and got into the car Mickey brought you in.

Mickey: So we have more information.

Derek: What you got?

Mickey: The other night me and Dom intercepted a deal, found out the guys we found the first day, apparently they were planning an attack at the pier.

Derek: When.

Mickey: Tonight, so when we get back get some rest and be ready to leave by 19:00.

Derek: I've got enough sleep, give me my rifle and I'm ready.

Mickey: Law enforcement doesnt know of this.

Derek: Why not?

Mickey: Because theres rats in their system.

Derek: What do you mean?

Mickey: Because the group we intercepted brought up members of their group inside the station. So if we let them know, they will tell and switch the attack or delay it.

Derek: Hm, I see.

Mickey: So when we get back, either get rest or just be ready to leave.

Derek: Since when did you start gibing orders.

Mickey: Huh, you're right. Take that back would ya?

Derek: *chuckles* Yea I will. You said 19:00 right?

Mickey: Yea, we're here so be ready.

Derek: I will.

Mickey: And dont end up in the hospital again.

Derek: Not my fault.

Mickey: Yea, sure.

Derek: What, it wasnt.

Mickey: *mocking* Oh let me disguise myself as a white mask. That'll show em.

Derek: Well it worked for as long as it lasted.

Mickey: Yea you're not wrong about that. We're here, so get something to eat and then get ready for tonight.

Derek: *getting out of car* Yea I'll be ready.

Timeskip 4 hours

It was nearing the time to leave so you got into your gear that you originally wore back when you were first recruited. You walked downstairs to see Mickey and Bandit.

Bandit: Good you're here.

Mickey: It'll be just me and you out there.

Derek: wait why.

Mickey: Because Dom and Ela are gonna be on defense, when they come we can't evacuate anyone anymore, so we'll to defend them. We take them to the farthest point at the pier and guard them. But me and you will be on the offense.

Derek: Shouldn't seem to hard.

Bandit: Hey, last thing we need is you and Mickey riddled with bullets again, don't underestimate the enemy again. We'll be in the buildings helping you guys out as much as we can but you can't be out there underestimating them.

Derek: understood.

Bandit: Alright good, now let's go.

You all went outside and got into the car. Another minute goes by and Ela finally comes out. Dom started the car and you were heading towards the pier.

Derek: So what took you so long?

Ela: Couldn't find my holo for my SMG.

Derek: Wait you guys are helping us out, with SMGs.

Bandit: Problem?

Derek: Thats a distance to shoot from.

Bandit: We'll be fine, you worry about how you're gonna deal with the offensive.

Derek: Yessir.

You arrived at the pier and you all got out.

Ela: So how're we gonna do this.

Derek: Simple, we're here early so me and Mickey will go watch the entrance. When they start coming we will let you know to step sending people out and to move them back. Send them out one at a time, we can't risk that they get here and next thing we know everyone is stuck in their cars.

Bandit: Alright, sounds like a plan.

Derek: Mickey, lets go.

Mickey: Somewhat reminds of when we watched our boys go rolling out of base.

Derek: Yea except that we have to watch out for them.

You went to the entrance and cars slowly came driving out. You looked in the distance and saw a large group approaching.

Mickey: That was the fifth car. Hey whats up. *looks at where you're looking* Oh shit.

Derek: *on radio* Bandit do not send anyone else out I repeat, start moving them to the back.

Bandit: We already sent a car up to you.

Derek: We'll worry about them just start moving them further back.

Bandit: On it.

Derek: Mickey lets go.

You approached the car and motioned for it to turn around. It did as so and then a bullet whizzed by you. You turned back around and started to send back fire to the group.

Derek: Mickey we need to fall back to cover.

Mickey: What about the car.

Derek: We'll make sure everyone gets out and back. Just fall back.

You and Mickey ran towards the car while receiving fire and recovered the civies in the car.

Derek: Mickey start bringing them back I'll give you covering fire.

Mickey: Yessir.

You ran over to a booth and hid behind it and started to fire towards the group. They turned their attention towards you and slowly the booth was becoming nothing but a pile of wood and cloth.

Derek: You've gotta be fucking kidding me.

Mickey: They're back at the pier house, fall back would ya?

Derek: I'm fucking trying.

You started to move from booth to booth until you passed one and saw five people hiding in it.

Derek: Chelsea?

Chelsea: Derek?

Derek: You guys aren't supposed to be here.

Chelsea: Well what are you doing here.

Derek: Dealing with them. Now come on, you guys need to fall back to the pier house.

Chelsea: We're gonna get shot at.

Derek: *reloading your HK-416* yea... thats kind of the point. Sync?

Chelsea: Sync?

Derek: Just so I know you're ready.

Chelsea: Oh, sync.

Derek: Good, when I give you the signal go.

Chelsea: Whats the signal.

Derek: Republic.

Chelsea: Odd signal but ok.

Derek: Great.

You hopped out of the booth and became the center of attention again.

Derek: FOR THE REPUBLIC!!

You opened fire into the group with them sending fire back.

Fiona: Was that the signal?

Chelsea: Yes now go.

They ran towards the end of the pier while you still were being fired at by the rest of the opposition. When you noticed they were in safety you ducked behind cover.

Derek: They are relentless.

Mickey ran up next you

Mickey: Tell me about it.

Derek: Jesus christ you scared the shit outta me.

Mickey: Sorry about that.

The two of you went out of cover and killed seven more of the unknown attackers. You saw headlights in the distance and a large van heading your way. When it got towards the unknown attackers, it stopped and the back doors opened.

Derek: What is going on.

You heard the thud of something heavy dropping from the back of the van and noticed the vans suspension shoot back up as if something was holding it down. Thats when you saw the thing that caused it.

Mickey: holy shit. *on radio* Dom we've got a juggernaut I repeat they have juggernaut gear. *you both are suddenly under fire* We have to fall back.

Bandit: Did I hear you right? Did you just say they have a juggernaut?

Mickey: Yes, its taking away our cover we are falling back. *shuts off radio* Now how do we get out of this position.

Derek: You got flashbangs?

Mickey: I have a few also might've stole a candela from Siu.

Derek: What? Why.

Mickey: Because it looked cool.

Derek: Forget it, we'l need it later. Toss a bang right at his feet.

Mickey: Oh yea lemme just get torn to shreds while I'm at it.

Derek: Oh for fuck sake.

You peaked out of cover and moved over to another spot, gaining the juggernauts attention. Mickey pulled the pin from his flashbang and threw it. It landed right in front of him and detonated causing the juggernaut and the remaining attackers in a panicked daze.

Derek: Go go go.

You both ran as fast as possible to the end of the pier and entered the building.

Ela: Having fun?

Derek: *out of breath* Fuck...you.

Bandit: So how are we gonna deal with that thing?

Derek: Theres only a few ways. First one is simple.

Ela: Don't you da-

Derek: We have to shoot it... alot.

Bandit: Well thats pretty self explanatory but we don't have the ammunition to do that.

Derek: I was getting to that, the armor is heavy, if we could figure out how to push him off of the pier, he would be the least of our worries.

Mickey: That is the stupidest fucking idea, I've ever heard.

Derek: I'm brainstorming let me off for once.

Ela: Fine, what other ideas do you have.

Derek: We don't have the ammunition to deal with him, however we can use explosives, however they would take alot to even expose him.

Bandit: How much.

Derek: I'm talking American gender reveals.

Bandit: Huh?

Mickey: He means a shit ton of explosives. Like we're talking alot of frags.

Bandit: Could've just said that.

Derek: I thought you would get it.

Bandit: Well, any other ideas?

Derek: .50 cal. Specifically a sniper rifle.

Mickey: The only sniper here is me and even I don't have .50 caliber rounds. I leave that to Jasmine.

Derek: Damnit.

Juggernaut: We know you're hiding in there. Come out with your hands up and we might not shoot you.

Derek: Can we just have one God damn minute.

He shot a couple rounds from his minigun into the pier.

Juggernaut: Does that answer your question.

Derek: Oh fuck off would you?

Juggernaut: Quit hiding and show yourself.

Derek: Alright, I have an idea but its risky.

Mickey: What is it.

Derek: So to my other idea, just listen to what I have to say.

Mickey: Okay, I'm listening.

Timeskip 5 minutes

Juggernaut: Alright, we're tired of waiting come out now or I'll destroy this entire building. 5...4...3...2...1...

Derek: Wait.

You walked into the open with your hands up.

Juggernaut: Huh, look what we have here. You know, you've grown quite a reputation throughout the whitemasks.

Derek: Oh really, whats it like.

Juggernaut: Let me put this in perspective for you. I shoot you now, I won't have to do another job for the rest of my life.

Derek: Thats alot of money.

Juggernaut: Oh it really is.

Derek: and how do you know they won't just keep the money instead of giving it to you?

Juggernaut: Because why would they give me this, if I wasn't promised such a high reward.

Derek: Kinda sounds like the cowards way out.

Juggernaut: careful with your words. I'm not the one who's being held at gun point.

Derek: Yea well, how does a car sound.

Juggernaut: What do you mean by a-

You all heard the revving of an engine and a vehicle driving towards the juggernaut.

Juggernaut: Car!?!

The car slammed into the juggernaut causing him to go flying off of the pier and into the ocean. Bandit and Ela began to open fire into the group and Mickey soon got out of the car and joined them. It only lasted a couple of seconds before they all were dead.

Mickey: Before you say it. I will not keep this one in the books

Derek: Oh please, you had fun.

Mickey: Eh I don't know about that one.

Bandit: Good job and quick thinking.

Derek: Just doing my job.

Bandit: Get back to the van and go wait inside, I'll contact Six on what to do next.

Derek: Yessir.

You began to walk away until you heard a voice call you out.

Chelsea: Hey Derek, wait up.

Derek: Need something?

Chelsea: Not need. Just gotta ask, this gonna be last time we see you?

Derek: For now, yes. I have to keep worrying about these masks.

Chelsea: Anyway we could help?

Derek: I don't want anyone to get into business that could risk their life. However, if you do suspect something, *hands her a slip of paper with a Phone number on it* contact this number. If what comes back is true, rainbow will be at their doorstep.

Chelsea: So this is goodbye for now right?

Derek: Not yet, you police department is corrupt, we'll have to figure out who are the rats. Also we still need to completely clear this area. Not sure who else is out their right now and when they'll strike next. We got lucky today.

Chelsea: Alright, I'll leave you be to your business. Just gotta say though, thanks.. for risking your life to make sure ours were safe.

Derek: Its the least of my concerns, everyone needs to have a moment to see another day. Thats what I'm here for, the innocent have no reason to get their hands dirty in a fight thats not theirs.

Chelsea: What do you mean?

Derek: Take this to heart, we don't fight because we are two oppositions, we fight because we decided to revolt against the terrorist threat, so no one else has to deal with it. We get our hands dirty so the world can stay clean. Thats what rainbow is for, we will do everything we can in our power to make sure nothing goes wrong and an innocent life is put down because they were caught in crossfire. No one should have to live through this, but this is life. *starts walking away* You gotta figure out where your purpose is. And this? This is mine.
