Derek POV

After talking to Ryad about what you've been hiding about your life, you felt really great the next day. you trusted him enough to not walk around spilling your secrets and telling people what you looked like. Because in the end, you both were very much alike when it came down to what has happened in your life. You got out of bed and into more casual clothing with your balaclava. You opened the door to your dorm and headed towards the gym. You went inside and your normal workout. You lifted weights, ran 5km, and did pushups and pullups. After your workout you went back to your dorm to go take a shower. When you got back to your dorm you saw a note on your door.

Dear Locust, Sorry for the long wait for the rest of your stuff. They didn't exactly have an exact location of where you lived so it was more difficult to find your belongings. Anyways, the rest of your stuff has just arrived and they are waiting inside your dorm. -Harry

You had to admit, this made your day even better. Because you've been waiting too long for this. You walked into your dorm and you were right, laying on your bed was a box filled with some of your uniforms and also another box carrying a few panels of acoustic studio foam wedges. The last thing on your bed was a guitar case that had your Sterling MAJ100. You decided to put the panels up and were happy to say the least.

Speaker: Could recruit Locust report to briefing room 2 in full gear?

You put the guitar back in its case and got into your combat gear

You grabbed your Rifle and Sidearm and headed to briefing room 2. You arrived at the briefing room and walked in.

Derek: What's your orders.

Harry: There's been a bomb reported in a neighborhood in Miami.

Derek: You're sending just me sir?

Harry: I would never send someone alone on a mission, operators Lion and Fuze along with two other recruits were already debriefed and are waiting out in the helicopter.

Derek: Why not just debrief me with them.

Harry: Because I would like to monitor through your POV. Heres a camera you can mount onto your chest.

Derek: Is there a reason for this?

Harry: Just to see what you do in the field to make a report for you since you dont really have one for others to read.

Derek: Understandable.

Harry: Anyways you're needed so start heading to the helipad.

Derek:Yessir.

You walked out of the room and jogged to the helipad. Everyone was already waiting so you got into the chopper and sat down.

Fuze: Ah good we atleast have one recruit to rely on.

Lion: You can vouch for this one?

Fuze: Yes, the тихий задир (Silent Badass) saved our friends that one day with the help of Timur.

Lion: If he's as good as you say he is then I guess it was better than having 5 operators.

A couple hours go by with the two operstors conversing with eachother and the other two recruits having a conversation about things that werent important. It all stopped after Marius Chimed in.

Jäger: We're approaching the site now, prepare to be dropped off.

Lion: Alright, the plan is that we stick close to one another and watch eachothers backs. Fuze, you brought your shield so you'l be doing most of the frontal assault.

Fuze: Understood comrade.

Lion: You two, stay close to one another when we move in and listen to our orders, understand?

Recruit 1: Yea yea, follow your orders and dont get shot. Its not very hard to understand.

Lion: Should I bring up what happened to Tommy?

Recruit 2: Tommy wasn't paying attention and was overwhelmed.

Lion: That fool pulled the pin of a grenade and then threw the wrong grenade so he blew himself up.

Recruit 1: whatever.

Lion: And you, you've been on your own again, that isnt going to be the case this time. Watch our blind spots and we'll watch yours. Got it?

Locust: yessir

Lion: A man of few words and doesnt talk back. I'm gonna like you.

Derek: A man who goes into battle with a Bible is a man I can respect sir.

Lion: You religious?

Derek: Haven't been to a church since ive been deployed and I was never able to get my hands on a bible due to my family never owning one. The only thing I carry is a cross around my neck.

Lion: Glad to know someone is also religious. We're arriving at the drop site now, everyone get ready because we dont know how much opposition we'll encounter.

The helicopter landed on the ground and Lion slid open the door of the helicopter. Fuze was the first to get out and then Lion then the two recruits with you trailing behind.

Lion: I'll tell you when to start heading back for exfil.

Jäger: Understood, goodluck.

Lion: Alright remember, we dont know how much opposition there will be, so watch your surroundings and watch eachothers backs. One wrong move and it could jeopordize the entire mission.

At this point you had the body cam turned on and being broadcasted back to Harry for a live feed.

Hereford Base

IQ POV:

You were in the cafeteria with the rest of the girls when Harry came in and connected his laptop to the big screen on the wall.

Ash: Is this about the Op that you just sent out?

Harry: As a matter of fact it is. I would like you guys to see the true skills of this recruit.

Thatcher: You mean the guy you wont tell us anything about?

Harry: I dont know alot of information on him either. The only thing i know that you dont us his name and backstory of who he is.

Ash: Why cant anyone else know though.

Harry: That is for him to say on his own, he doesnt care about who he is, all he cares about is that the job is done and that's what makes him efficient. Ive some of his old body cam footage, you should aswell.

You watched as the screen went live and it was in a neighborhood.

On screen*

Lion: We're approaching the area now, Locust I'm gonna need you to watch Fuzes' right side. If Fuze goes down the assault will be alittle more difficult than it already is.

Derek: Already on it sir.

Recruit 1: Stop being such a kiss ass.

Derek: I'm just following orders.

Recruit 2: Well you following orders makes you a kiss ass.

Lion: No one's a kiss ass. We're approaching the building so everyone be on your guard.

You watched as the group approached the house where the bomb was said to be at. They got to the front of the house and were waiting outside.

Lion: Locust, can you drone the place out to see where they could be holding the bomb?

Derek: On it.

Derek pulled out a drone and let it roam around inside, after about 2 minutes of silence he finally chimed in

Derek: Found the bomb in the garage, 12 hostiles in that room with 10 others each in different rooms. Theres only 5 on this level and the rest are all the way upstairs.

Lion: Alright, so we'll go in through the front and back doors and meet up just outside of the garage. Silent kills upstairs, we dont wanna alert the ones in the basement.

Derek: understood. If you want me to, i could go up from the top floor while you guys take the middle.

Lion: Will you be able to handle that on your own?

Derek: I'll be fine, just give me a little boost up.

Derek walked over to Lion and Fuze and got on their hands and they boosted him up on the roof.

Derek: I'll meet you guys outside of the doorway to garage.

Lion: Remember, be quiet.

Derek: Yessir.

Derek quietly entered through a window on the top floor and took out his knife. You watched as he effortlessly took out the masks upstairs without alerting anyone else.

Derek: I'm moving downstairs now.

Lion: Alright, so we'll breach, i'll activate my EE-ONE-D drone and you Locust throw a flashbang. We'll take out the hostiles and defuse the bomb and wait for authorities to come confiscate it.

A recruit came up with a Breach charge and placed it on the door. Derek readied a flahsbang and lion began to activate his drone.

Lion: Ready... NOW

The recruit blew the charge and Derek tossed the flashbang inside. The drone made it easy to see the targets and the flashbang blinded them. They rushed in and took out all the masks.

Lion: Fuze let me see the defuser.

Fuze handed Lion the defuser and he began to start the defusing sequence.

Everything seemed to be going well and Harry saw that, but that was short lived after we hesrd something that brought worry.

White Mask: BREACHING!

The garage blew open and a firefight began.

Recruit 2: How many of them are ther-

He was cut short after being lit up with bullets.

Lion: Shit, where are the authorities.

Derek: How many of these fuckers are there.

Lion: Matthews is down aswell it's just us three.

Everyone was just watching as all hell broke loose for the squad of 3

IQ: Is there anyway we could help them?

Harry: By the time we got someone there, they'd already be too late.

Everyone focused on the screen again to see what'll happen

Derek POV

Our squad of 5 was cut down to only 3 and we were running low on ammo fast.

Derek: Fuze I need you to do me a favor.

Fuze: What is it.

Derek: I just need you to help repel bullets from hitting me.

Fuze: Sounds easy enough.

Derek: Lion I need you to give me covering fire.

Lion: What are you planning.

Derek: To use their bomb against them.

Lion: You cant that'll end up killing us all.

Derek: Not if its only small chunks.

Fuze: We're trusting you comrade.

Derek: I wont disappoint.

You began to fire at the opposition and ran towards the bomb, fuze got there just after you and began to repel the bullets that were coming your way. Lion was still firing towards them to draw some away and pick some off. You started to take out pieces of the bomb off and realized that they're judt a bunch of nitro cells.

Derek: What the hell? HEY LION!

Lion: What is it

Derek: lets test your aim.

You chucked the nitro cell towards the crowd and lion shot it which caused it to detonate.

Derek: Holy shit wasnt expecting that to work.

Fuze: Keep throwing more we can gain the upper hand.

Derek: I cant throw alot of them or else it'll cause major damage to the area we're in.

You threw another nitro cell and this time Fuze shot it which caused it to detonate. You fired off intot he rest of the crowd until there was no more bullets being fired back.

Derek: Holy shit... did we?

Lion: Yea, I think we're clear

Derek: Fuze your shield looks like shit.

Fuze: It isnt like montagnes or blitz' shields. I also dont think it helps when it takes constant abuse.

Lion: That was good thinking though to use the bomb to thin the herd.

Derek: I didnt even know they just packed a bunch of nitro cells up into that case. I thought they'd be alittle more smarter.

Fuze: We are talking about the same masks right?

Derek: Sadly we are.

Lion: Why arent you an operator.

Derek: Never really wanted start out on the top, also just doing my job.

Lion: *on comms* Jäger bomb has been defused and authorities are here, whats you ETA.

Jäger: Give me a couple minutes.

Lion: Rog.

Fuze: he on his way?

Lion: about a couple minutes.

Derek: alright, so what are we gonna do about those two.

Lion: Get them ready to be shipped home for a proper funeral.

Derek: atleast we're somewhat humane.

Jäger finally arrived and landed the chopper and everyone got on and brought the bodies. Everyone was exhausted so you all decided to take a nap on the way back. You closed your eyes and slipped into sleep.
