La Viva Café, Miami
Time: 8:23 A.M.
Date: June 11, 2021
Derek POV
Sitting at a table sipping your cup of your coffee with Sean across from you. He checked his watch and looked back up at you.
Mickey: Its 8:23, Squad A should be approaching the main point of attack soon.
Derek: Good, let me check up on Squad C.
You took out your phone and called John, the phone rang two times before being connected to a number.
Bulldog: Hello?
Derek: John, where the fuck are you. I thought we were meeting up at La Viva Café at 8:20.
Bulldog: Oh shit, I thought you said go to the local Pizzeria down the street from the supermarket.
Derek: No, I said the coffee shop.
Bulldog: My bad, tell you what, lets just meet up at the supermarket.
Derek: Fine, be there in a few.
Bulldog: Ciao.
Derek: Shut up.
You hung up the call and put your phone back in your pocket.
Derek: They're in position.
Mickey: Good, lets just hope this crazy plan works.
Derek: As long as we dont run into any hiccups, we should be fine.
Mickey: So what kind of signal is Robert gonna give to let us kno-
You heard a loud explosion come from behind you that shook Mickey, you remained unphased as you opened the backpack and pulled out a compact MP5 and your Glock.
Derek: Theres your signal.
Mickey: Fucking hell that shit was loud.
You got out of your chair and shot two masks too distracted by the explosion and started to spring into the city.
Mickey: So whats the plan now!
Derek: Avoid Civies and keep a low profile... we dont need them to know that we're behind them.
You continued down the street shooting any masks you saw making their way to the smoke and gunfire. You shoved past a crowd of people running away from the scene.
Derek: Everyone out of the way, take shelter!
You looked back forward to see a car trying to drive away from the area and it wasnt slowing down. They were tapping and running into running away civilians as you noticed a little boy not paying attention.
Derek: Hey Mickey! Remember those hiccups I brought up!
Mickey: Yea?
Derek: Found one!
You double timed it to the boy and noticed that the driver of the vehicle was a mask. As you ran you aimed down sights and fired 3 consecutive rounds. The bullets pierced the windshield and the mask dropped dead. As you approached the kid the car was getting closer, you finally grabbed the kid and held him tight while twisting out of the way of the car. You took a deep breath as the car slammed into another parked car and stopped.
Derek: You alright bud?
Boy: Whats going on?
A woman came running up not from far away sounding relieved but still frightened.
Woman: Connor thank god you're ok.
Derek: Get as far away from here and find some shelter. You dont want to overstay your welcome, we dont want anyone else getting hurt.
Woman: Whats going on?
Derek: Liberation day, thats whats going on.
Sean ran up next to you and sounded to be in a hurry.
Mickey: Colt lets go we gotta rendezvous with Squads A and C now!
Derek: I know, lets move.
The street started to become less crowded and the gunfire became louder.
Derek: Take a left down this Alley and we cut through the streets to the supermarket.
Mickey: Whatever gets me to a vantage point.
You approached the mall complex and saw the firefight that has insued by Squad A and it was working well, the masks had no ides you were in their blind spots and from a distance you saw Squad C in their position. You raised your hand up for them to see and quickly closed it into a fist and raised your MP5. You switched to burst and fired consecutive shots at the masks from below. One by one they slowly fell until there was none left.
Patch: *comms* We're clear, don't know for how long though.
Derek: Copy that, rendezvousing with you now.
You looked at Mickey and nodded your head as you both made your way down to the mall where the other two squads were. Once you got there you laid down the ground plan.
Derek: Bulldog, Gibs watch over our position. Everyone else grab any ammunition you need to grab and we'll start to head back out.
Bulldog: Copy that.
Patch walked up to you snd you handed you your HK-416C and a duffel bag
Patch: I believe you'll be needing this?
Derek: You know me so well.
Patch: Get into gear quick, we dont know whether or not help is on the way. And how big it is.
You got into your gear and while grabbing extra magazines, you noticed something that sparked you with curiosity. It was a garage door, you approached the door and lifted open the door. You saw the contents inside and let out a small laugh.
Derek: *whistles* Hello beautiful.

Mute POV
You were sitting on a couch in the mens Lounge watching the news of Miami on the T.V. in the center of the lounge.
News Reporter: Reports indicate that the small group of soldiers have just placed their first foothold into the city and have now stopped at the mall complex just inside the city. While many masks have been highly alerted of their presence, we can only hope that they can get the job done. Back to you Gabe.
Gabe: Thanks Janett, and the only word I can describe this event is Patriotism. After hearing the President say he will NOT send the National Guard to Miami filled many Americans and other people of different countries with rage. Like, how are you going to take an oath to protect this country. But once a terroristic threat takes over your territory, you have nothing to say and refuse to send help to your people. But thid group, both foreign and also American. Come out of nowhere and do your job for you. They're risking their lives with a less liklihood of surviving due to their numbers, because you refused to do anything about it.
Janett: I think you make a great point, but we just got news that they have already left the mall complex in what seems to be a Turret-Mounted Humvee.
A clip played over of a humvee driving the streets gunning down any masks it saw with another person in the passenger seat leaning out of the window firing at them aswell.
Janett: Having something like this in their own hands can definitely fasten their pace and we could see a Liberation of Miami soon. With another report coming from a reporter actually down in the streets during these events giving us a first hand look at the situation. Onto you Tom.
The news went from being a quiet place to a man outside where you could hear gunfire in the distance.
Tom: Thanks Jan, we are currently in the streets of Miami getting a first hand look at the firefight that has started just moments ago with th-
He was cut off as the loud fires from an M240 shot down a group of a masks with the humvee stopping in front of the news crew and Civilians hiding in alleys. You noticed the person holding the M240 was John while the man on the passenger side was Derek.
Derek: Get off the streets and into safer shelters, it's not safe out here.
A bullet hit the side of the humvee not far from him as he looked forward and fired 4 shots.
Derek: Demo step on the gas!
The humvee drove away as people started to run into nearby buildings, the news cut back to the reporters and the TV was turned to mute.
You looked over to see Mike holding the remote as he sighed.
Mute: Not a news guy?
Thatcher: Bunch of dumbasses aren't they.
Bandit: That they are, instead of going right into the middle of the conflict, keep the reports going from a safer distance. Those morons will do anything for content.
Blitz: My question is why aren't we helping them?
Rook: What help can we do, they're special forces meant for these kinds of tasks.
Blitz: They're kids, not much younger then Mark.
Pulse: They've done this exact same thing back in Washington in 2018, this is no different.
Castle: Back in 2018 they were dealing with Russians and had the entire U.S.M.C beside them. It's just them and a group of mercenaries.
Blitz: Which might I add work for the highest bidder. All the masks need to do is wave a higher price right in front of them and next thing Colt knows, he's staring down the barrel of an ex ally.
Mute: These mercenaries don't just work for anyone, they add a price to their work but it's also for good reasoning. They can work for the Americans, they can work for the French. If the British needed help, they'd contact them. But if Al-Queda or better yet the white masks tried to name a price, they decline it.
Sledge: The situation doesn't look good either, we've had the statistics written down for every play and they each go by the same percentage.
Bandit: And that percentage is...
Sledge: 14% chance of success, and that's not even counting casualties.
Thermite: And if they do lose a member?
Sledge: That number drops down to a 7% chance.
Mute: What if they cut the head off the snake as fast as possible, catch Talon off guard.
Sledge: It would only go up slightly, we're talking numbers, not power.
Miami, Florida
Derek POV
You shot another mask that was hiding behind a car as you drove by. A roadblock was up ahead with masks aiming at the Humvee.
Derek: Demo down!
You both ducked as bullets hit the humvee and through the windshield. John ducked back into the Humvee clutching his shoulder as Demo turned left to get away from the roadblock.
Bulldog: Bastards got me.
You turned on your comms and told Demo to swing back around towards Franklin.
Derek: Patch come in, Bulldog is hit, we are swinging back around towards the mall. I repeat, we are making our way back to the mall.
Patch: *comms* Roger that, we're still holding our ground back here. Come back in one piece.
Derek: We will, Bulldog is a big man.
Bulldog: This kinda shit only tickles.
While Robert drove you moved to the back and got into the gunner position. You scanned the roads for any masks until you finally saw the mall in sight. This was going to be a long fight, and you're gonna have to take it with lots of precaution.
