Eurus

The first thing I learnt about Florence was that he was a deep sleeper. No matter how loud the radio was he wouldn't stir the slightest. Even when I almost crashed into a rock and the car jolted violently he remained alseep.

I was still upset about the party. He had embarrassed me infront of everyone. Not because of the fact that he was drunk, no- everyone was tipsy at that point. It was because of Remus. I was flaunting to everyone about my new guest who so happened to want to spend time with that mammoth instead of me! It was utterly embarrassing.

We hit a rough spot and the car shook violently. I stupidly took my eyes off the road to check if he was okay. Once again he was fine, perfectly still and snoring lightly. I couldn't afford to stay mad at him as that would ruin any chances of getting answers from him. From the little time I've been.. observing him I could tell that he was was man that built relationships on trust. Obviously that was the way to go.

Before I was sent on this pointless feildtrip I spent weeks mapping out the layout on the hotel and the surrounding town. I have almost every street memorized between the hotel and Miracle so locating his house wasn't a big deal. He lived in a middle-class region, south of the hotel and at the end of a unassuming street.

As I parked up his driveway I didn't bother stopping the engine. I quickly hopped out and hurriedly knocked on the door. I waited about a minute before stopping and listening. There was no sound coming from inside so I knocked again, and again and again until I noticed there wasn't any lights turned on, shining through the window.

I cursed under my breath before trudging back to the car. I walked over to his side and opened the door, staring at the blocky object in his pocket. Did I really want to go through his pockets? I could use his phone to call his mother or possibly find some keys.

Maybe his mother had serious hearing problems and preferred the dark. It was one phone call away. Getting him off my hands with as little questions was the best route to go with.

I gingerly fumbled for his phone, slipping it out and clicking it open. It didn't turn on. Why was it not turning on?!

I refrained from throwing his phone as far as I could when the small battery flashed in screen with a red line. I tried knocking rather loudly on his door for another twenty minutes until ultimately returning to the Florence. I placed it gently into his pocket and hopped back in the car. Where was I suppose to take him now? I couldn't leave him in the car, or on the street and I couldn't call his friend or his mother! Why did he have to get so drunk? Why did I send his mother home early!?

I sat in there with my hand hovering over the keys and thought about what would happen if I brought him with me. Surely I could dodge him in the morning, come back to apologize for yelling at him. I'd only do that if he brought it up since that could end in some collateral damage. Why hadn't I bothered to record both their phone numbers instead of his?

With a final 'fuck sake' I left his driveway and set out for the hotel. Since he was a heavy sleeper it wouldn't be too much of a hassle and I could easily get him up to my room. Surely Wicker and Slade would be locked up in their rooms, trying to brew a pointless plant against my Wyverns. Against me.

Once I reached the hotel, I noticed the that there were a few reporters still lingering about but he new Evolve guards stopped them from getting near the entrance. A few of my guards dispatched from the group of geared men, recognizing the car and came to do their check up. I rolled down the window and greeted Samson. "Heya Eurie," he greeted me. I frowned and looked around, just to check if any of my other guards heard that. "Don't call me that, Samson. You know what will happen if my Uncle hears half the things that leave your mouth." I scolded, shuffling around and unclipping the belt.

He readjusted his glasses and smiled, tiny dimples forming like whirlpools in water. His newly dyed red hair was so long and thick it almost covered his big blue eyes. He looked passed down at me probably to Florence then frowned immediately. "Did you kill a random guy?" He whispered, almost like a scold. I was taken aback by his statement, since I rarely got my hands dirty.

"Of course not! I would never- why would you think- it doesn't matter! I need your help getting him inside unnoticed." I grumbled. Luckily the reporters outside haven't recognized me yet otherwise this car would've been swarmed. "Why? I'm not letting you take advantage of him." He said with a deadpan look.

My eyes widened and I had to refrain myself from transforming and biting his head off. "Just help me! I'm not doing anything to him- god!" I shouted. I could've easily just ran him over but since he was my childhood best friend I decided he got a free pass, just for this one. "Calm down!" He laughed. "Don't blame me for questioning you. We're Wyverns, we always have ulterior motives."

Florence stirred again and I went dead still. Once he was done shuffling around we continued our discussion. We decided that I would swap places with Samson and just enter through the front while he got Florence out and into the hotel. I would get to my room first then he would bring him up.

I thanked him, then quickly got out. I was instantly surrounded by my guards so getting in wouldn't be a problem. The car took off and I relaxed a little, even when I was nearly bombarded with the media. These Evolve guys were here to simply keep guard outside and I even heard a few comments from my squadron. They were insulted by the idea that they needed extra help. Personally, I thought my guards were up to the challenge.

Once we got inside a few went back on their patrol and some escorted me to the elevator. I was given one of the more fancier rooms with an attached kitchen albeit small but apparently it was something to be impressed by.

There was a small couch that I could set up for him and if I needed to sleep for a bit then I could just crash on my bed then leave before he wakes up. Fool proof plan, as long as Florence corporates by staying asleep.

The elevator dinged and I stepped off then found my room. I rummaged for the keycard, swiped it then entered the bitterly cold room. It was nothing like home. Home was warm and full of open spaces. This place was cramped and dark. It was something at least. A little sacrifice for a greater plan.

I switched the lights on then waited patiently for Samson and Florence. It was eating at me to sit there patiently, but only a few minutes later there was a knock on my door. I threw it open as Samson brushed past me with Florence in his arms. He was still sleeping, of course.

"He's heavier than he looks," he grunted as he placed Florence on the bed. I frowned, but didn't comment. "You need to tell me why he's here, Eurie." He sighed, pushing up his glasses and casting a questioning look at me. I looked away and crossed my arms. "It's the Baker boy. I tried bringing him home but his mother was asleep and he didn't have the keys." I answered like it wasn't a big deal.

"And?" He questioned. "And what? There's nothing else to it." I snarled. I was supposed to do the questioning, not someone else. "I know you, Eurus. You have a million connections here already surely you could've arranged for some locksmith to replicate a key or whatever." He mumbled. "Or gotten his home phone from a friend."

I thought about it and sighed, brushing my hair away from my face. It wouldn't have been that simple- surely! "Samson you know how I feel about people questioning me! Thank you for your help, I can handle it from here," I quickly said before shoving him out the door. He protested of course but I ignored his pleads and locked the door.

I returned to the bed and sat down with a heavy sigh. Could I have done more? Maybe he kept a hidden key somewhere and if I searched just awhile longer he could've been home right now instead of right next to me. If I did make a few phone calls I could've woken up his mother and let him inside.

Ugh. Panicking was never a good thing for me.

I felt a hand bump into my thigh and with a shock I realized Florence was awake but only just slightly. My first instinct was to get up and get as far away as possible but he grabbed hold of my hair and jerked my head down. His other free hand pinched my cheek and for an odd second I was stuck wondering what the hell he was doing. Was he still drunk?

"I thought your skin would be more stretchy.." he mumbled, his eyes still half closed. "How does a dragon fit in there? That's impossible," He let go then stretched, giving me the opportunity to jump away and just stare at him. After awhile he stopped moving and his breathing became slower and he fell alseep again. I stayed their for what felt like an eternity, just staring at him. Why would he touch me? He was just drunk. He didn't have any reason or rhyme to his thinking.

I sighed and began to get ready to sleep. I didn't want to move him from the bed since I didn't want to wake him again so I guess it was the couch for tonight. I was definitely ready for this night to end.

Eurus seems to be an over-thinker...

What are we thinking about Samson? Nothing much to go with but predictions would be nice!

Hope you enjoyed <3
