Please read the AN at the end. I'd greatly appreciate it!

Fie Wright's P. O. V

"Oh."

Yikes is all I think as my great aunt Edna deems it appropriate to marched around the front garden, goods that really can't be called goods anymore on full display as she flaunts her figure to all passerby's which currently aren't many. I don't find any time to send a quick prayer to anyone since I know it's only a matter of time before the entire pack is milling around the old woman in a wide circle. Some staring on in amusement but keeping quiet while others would chant along with her, egging the woman on even more which isn't necessary in any form.

Blowing air through my pursed lips, I don't dare look back to my mate, afraid I'll see the dawning realisation on his face that my family is as crazy as they come while he runs back to the forest and closes the gate between the realms forever more.

Okay maybe I'm being dramatic but the sight in front of us leaves little to be pleased and practically renders my reputation moot. I can already imagine my naked aunt plastered all over social media with a hashtag running about how this is where your new queen comes from. I'll be the laughing stock of the time. Okay I'll admit now I'm going off in a frenzy.

I should really do something about the woman who's articles of clothing are becoming more and more nonexistent by the second. Just as a withered hand arches out and winds behind a wrinkling back, withered from age, does my mind finally come back to reality and my legs start moving at a speed I didn't know I could physically possessive. One hand stretched out, my limb finally meets its target as I bat the woman's hand away from the lock on her bra that holds the two ends together, saving everyone, myself included, from being scarred for life.

"What on earth do you think you're doing aunt Edna?" I question firmly, hands placed atop my hips while I stare down at her in disapproval, already noting from the corner of my eye at the number of people suspiciously growing larger. I swear to God if Ezra is mind linking everyone to come to the front garden like he did last time, I'll purposely tell aunt Edna to strip off in front of the young man. I bet he'll have torturing me when he'll be bleaching his own eyes out instead.

Hmph.

Edna glances up at me with a startled expression, only now realising that I've joined the many onlookers, eyes wide and face displaying every emotion from shock to glee and a tiny bit of anger.

"Oh hello darling Fie," she says with a gummy smile, eyes sparkling with passion as she continues on, "I'm simply out here protesting!" The conviction in her voice even has me raising my own eyebrows in question, a little bit of intrigue admittedly taking grasp of me as I peer down at the rapidly shrinking woman who loses an inch off of her height with every passing year.

"Pray tell, what are you protesting?" I shoot back, voice a little softer since all hints of her stripping habit have died down for the time being.

I can tell the growing crowd has hushed down now, each and every person looking forward to the great cause she's supporting now.

I myself will be the first to admit that the woman has a commendable spirit and fights for what she believes in. Last time it was the unequal pay gap, the time before that it had something to do with mother's not getting paid maternity leave, and the time before even that was my great aunt showing support for the 'Free the nipple' campaign.

Trust me when I say no one rejoiced at that matter, even if they did support the cause or not but no one wanted to see great aunt Edna's breasts out in the open. Also considering the fact that the entire pack's mind line was open to everyone, not a single soul was spared from the horrific sight of my relatives bosom out on display. That time Alpha Tyrell was the one shouting down the pack house for the biggest bottle of bleach we have stored.

It also sucks that is werewolves have such a good memory.

Suppressing a shudder as the daunting image threatens to poke at the crevices of my mind, I refocus my attention on my aunt who peers back up at me through grey eyes.

"The Luna is sick!" She says furiously. It takes a moment for her words to register since I know for a fact that the Luna is most definitely not sick. Not anymore at least, all thanks to Malleus.

"What do you mean?" I ask gently, trying to ease the woman as an erratic look enters her already wild eyes.

"I was passing by through the pack lounge when I heard it. Our Luna is in a coma and no one is doing absolutely nothing about it. I am protesting for Luna Aria to get medical attention and that too, immediately." She continues while I stand stock still, processing what she's currently telling me.

Glancing up, I scan the familiar faces in the crowd to see if I'm as crazy as the woman in front of me but thankfully, each and every face depicts the utter confusion that I'm sure is plastered across my own. Some people are scratching their heads in confusion while others glance at one another as if it say, 'This woman has completely gone off her rocker this time.'

"Um. But our Luna is fine?" I meant for it come out as a resounding statement but inside it comes out more of a question since I'm a bit lost as to what she's talking about. Could it be that she's protesting about everything now that it's over and Alpha Tyrell is more at ease or has she simply gotten the timeline wrong which won't be surprising when it comes to her.

"No she isn't. Didn't you hear me? She's in a coma." Aunt Edna reiterates as if I'm the one acting out of the normal and not like a conventional human being in society. Although she'd probably say that's too boring and to join the dark side, also known as her side.

The sound of someone approaching me has me calming down a bit as Ezra starts to make his way towards us even though I'm even more on edge since the man could simply be coming to add fuel to the fire.

"Where did you hear that?" Is all he says once he stands in front of the woman, him not daring nor wanting to look further than the expanse of her forehead.

'She has a pretty big forehead.' Filters in Ezra's voice through the mind link while a scowl makes its way to my face, my foot pulling upwards and then slamming down onto his when it gains enough momento. The man himself lets out a strained laugh, trying to cover up the slight yelp that escapes his lips.

The remark hitting me a bit harsher than usual since I've always been sensitive about having a big forehead and like some people call it, a 'fivehead,' and this little twerp knows that my mother always goes on spewing about how I inherited my great aunt Edna's forehead. Of course I'm as lost as the next person to where she got correlation from but that doesn't make me any less sensitive to the fact that my normal sized forehead might be viewed as larger than normal to some people.

It's a decent sized forehead thank you very much.

"Like I said before; I was in the living room or lounge or whatever you want to call it when I heard these pups talking about the Luna. My very soul left my body I tell you. So now I'm protesting!" She says fiercely, fingers nimbly reaching out as she slides the straps of her bra off of her arms but luckily I'm quicker and was anticipating every move she makes as I grasp ahold of her hands in mine before she takes the bloody thing off completely.

"I think you've misunderstood aunt Edna," I begin slowly, only now noticing the feel of Malleus' eyes boring into my side, I try to focus on the matter at hand but then again, I am only human, somewhat, and find myself taking a peak only to blush slightly at the intensity of his stare. My mind not aiding me in the slightest as I think back to the heated make out session we were having just a few minutes ago. "Luna Aria is perfectly fine. She's up and about and as healthy as ever. Would you like to see her so you can put your nerves at ease?" I question softly, noticing the look of confusion in her eyes as she doesn't quite understand what's going on now.

My heart melts a little at the now lost look in her eyes as I quickly mind link Aria to come down to the front garden. I guess aunt Edna really did get confused with the timings although I will admit, I am utterly baffled at how she didn't notice the lack of our Luna's presence during the time that she was actually in a coma. Then again this woman is full of surprises and I shouldn't really be expecting anything less from her.

"She's alright?" Edna whispers, voice so low you have to strain to catch whatever it is that she's saying. I nod my head and am about to speak some more but stop myself and end up closing my mouth when I hear the sound of rushed footsteps, one heavier than the other while a wave of commanding aura seeps through the crowd. I step to the side a bit as Alpha Tyrell and Luna Aria make there way towards us, Tyrell grimacing immediately and if I were to place a bet, I'd say he's remembering the good old days when he got an eyeful of the old woman's chest.

"Oh it's a miracle! She's out of a coma already. Very fast I must say but I'm so grateful." Edna coo's while practically launching herself into Aria's arms, the younger woman not hesitating to hug her back but more confused than what she lets show on her face. Even Alpha Tyrell gives me a funny look but I shrug my shoulders, not sure what to say if I'm being honest.

"Oh it's good to see you so healthy and walking about. I can't believe you're already looking so refreshed." Edna continues while Aria tries to clarify the situation which results in Edna's frown now erupting full force.

I take a hesitant step back as does Tyrell who grabs a hold of Aria and scoots her back into his chest as the older woman huffs and starts ranting about something or another. I don't listen much now, grateful that she's not stripping off further as I bend down to grab her discarded shirt, ignoring how her underwear has ridden to the side exposing a bit of her butt cheek which is surprisingly toned.

I can't believe great aunt Edna has a better ass than I do, I think with a grumble while slipping the shirt onto her so that she's covered up somewhat before I make a move onto the trousers she's thrown far away.

Malleus meets me midway, fingers occupied by the very same trousers I was looking for as he hands them over to me, my face burning a bright red as I shoot him an apologetic look. He shakes his head at me, fly away hairs cascades down into his eyes which I brush away, barely aware of the fact that Aria has taken the trousers from me and is trying to wrestle them onto the batty woman who claims she likes her legs being free of trousers but for the sanity of everyone in the pack, ultimately relents.

"Sorry about that." I mumble sheepishly, trying my best to not let him loiter on the fact that my family should be locked up far away from the public eye. Sadly enough, I'm sure I've inherited some weird traits of theirs which will also result in me being thrown into the sum of odd family lineages.

"Don't worry about it. Everyone has a few odd family members here and there. Nothing about it that you can help." He said with a shrug of his shoulders, hand reaching down to intertwine with my fingers while I look up at him with narrowed eyes.

"You mean to tell me that you have family that strips off right in the middle of the castle grounds?" I ask dubiously, already knowing the answer but I guess I do find it endearing that he's trying to comfort me in whatever way he can.

"Well no. Not really," I go to flatly tell him he can't possibly relate in any way when he speaks up again, the words leaving my mouth dry while I stand there in utter shock and disbelief, "But my paternal uncle did try stabbing my mother in the middle of the night when she slept. He tried to murder her and hence me since she was pregnant with me at the time." He says, voice far away and head tilted towards the sky almost as if he's trying to remember something.

"W-what?" I splutter out, not sure whether I should be shocked at his nonchalant attitude or the fact that he doesn't seem perturbed by it in the slightest.

"It was a long time ago. It's in the past." He says with a flick of his hand while I let out a sigh, wondering how on Earth my life got so topsy turvy. Turning around, I can't be bothered to notice the possible prying eyes as I let go of Malleus' hand, only to burrow my chest against his while wrapping my arms around his torso, a pleasant sigh escaping me as he returns the hug. His warmth seeping into me as the chill of the evening starts to rise up all around us.

"You okay?" Malleus questions while I let out another bottled up sigh, watching as Aria leads my aunt away and back into the pack house, explaining how the King came and healed her all up which of course leaves my great aunt spewing about the lack of King otherwise her great wolf would have realised such a worthy foe was present.

"Where is this King? I want to challenge him for the throne. I've always wanted to be a Queen." Comes the last of her voice as Tyrell shuts the main door firmly behind him while I let out a short laugh, Malleus in the same stare as me as he shakes his head in disbelief.

"Your family is something else. A good something else but, a bit weird. In the best possible way." He clarifies at the end while I nod my head, quieting his rambling by placing a kiss to his lips.

"Is it bad of me to say that I wish we can go home as soon as possible?" My question goes unanswered but that doesn't mean I can't feel Malleus' share delight at my words, the excitement leaking from his side of the mate bond and settling with me as we turn in the direction of my parents house.

******

"When I said I wanted to go home as soon as possible, I forgot we had to walk all the way back." I groan aloud to the two other travellers besides me, one whistling away and taking in the nature of the forest all around us while the other sticks next to me as he releases noncommittal grunts every few seconds.

It doesn't really take a genius to figure out who is who.

"Hey Malleus," Ezra questions as he side steps a felled tree which I find rather odd since we're so deep into the forest, just minutes away from crossing the gate to the two realms, "I can mind link you can't I? Since you're a King and share a connection with everyone. Blah blah. How does one go about that?" He says finally, the annoying whistling thankfully stopping for a bit.

Malleus sighs and forcefully raises his gaze to meet that of my cousins, "I just tug at the mental strings that connect all of my wolves to me." At Ezra's blank stare, Malleus rolls his eyes with the attitude that would even leave a diva shaking in their boots as he turns a sharp stare to Ezra, eyes fogging up the slightest which indicates he's mind linking Ezra.

I have my suspicion but stay quiet, wondering how this will play on and thankfully, that gives me enough time to anticipate Malleus jerking upright while his legs stumble over a patch of thick gnarled roots, the man nearly hitting the ground face first if I hadn't have latched onto his arm, pulling him back with as much force as I can muster.

"You piece of shit." Growls Malleus, ready to attack Ezra but the man is one step ahead of him as he bounds forwards with laughter, escaping Malleus' elongated claws by just an inch as he launches himself through the gate of the realms that sneaked up on us.

"What happened?" I ask in shock, unsure what Ezra did to get such a reaction out of Malleus like that.

"He sent me a memory of your great aunt fully topless." The growl turns into a gag at the end while I clamp my lips together, the giggle still leaving my lips which causes the man to huff before he grabs my arm and pulls me into the parting of the trees with him by my side.

"That was pretty funny." I say with another laugh while Malleus looks like he's about to place an order for the worlds strongest bleach to douse the image out of his mind forevermore.

"I would say otherwise." He grunts out as we start our trek once more, Ezra keeping a safe distance while I plead with Malleus for us to continue walking through the night so that we can reach the city faster than if we took up camp for the night. Malleus doesn't seem too keen about us journeying through the night and I already know I've last my case as Ezra starts whining about how much his feet hurt and that his legs will snap in half if he takes another step.

With an exaggerated sigh so that both the men know I'm displeased with them not picking my side, I deposit myself down on a pile of comfy leaves, ignoring the damp that threatens to seep through the fabric as Ezra starts on lighting a fire which I'm sure Malleus could easily ignite with his magic but the man doesn't make a move to do so. Instead, he comes to stop where I'm currently shuffling through one of the packed lunches my mother made for me. "Fie." Is all I hear before I'm being lifted up and deposited on his lap as he takes my seat. I don't complain at all since I'm already feeling warmer by the second both with his body heat and the fact that the fire has started roaring away. All too soon do I find myself falling asleep even though I was the one who wanted to trek on through the night.

So consumed in my comfort that I don't even notice the black marks seeping up from the veins on my wrist, like black ink spreading over a canvas and leaving ruin in it's wake.

AN: I want to say 'an I oop' but that meme is long dead. Anywhooo. Enjoy babies.

Important question: I want to make a fun little chapter for Halloween because why not. Hence I was wondering if you'd like a chapter around it. It can be solely Fie messing around and the lot celebrating Halloween or I can do one of those fun things that I've seen a few authors and series do where it's sort of unrelated to the entire story and sort of magical in its own sense. Do you get what I mean? If so, do leave any fun scenarios which can be au (alternate universe) etc and let me know what you think!

Question: Would you rather be a reverse centaur or a reverse mermaid/merman?
