I burrow further into my warm pillow, smiling when the pillow hugs me back tighter. My fuzzy brain takes a minute to register that pillows aren't supposed to move. I open my eyes and come face to face with a bare chiseled chest. I'm about to flip the person over when I hear a sleepy groan above me. "Go back to sleep, dolchezza." I look up and find Luciano staring down at me, his eyes hooded with sleep, looking sexy as sin. His morning voice was low and deeper than usual, tinged with sleepiness. I do not mind waking up to this every morning. Neither do I. Woah woah hold your horses Alessandra. We're taking this slow. "Good Morning." I say quietly and he smiles, pulling me closer to him. "It's a very good morning indeed." I blush at his words. Yup, I have no idea where independent, feisty, feminist Aleesandra went. "How's your arm?" I ask looking at his stitches. "It's fine. Just a little sore." Worry flashes across my eyes as I sigh, "You guys got lucky last night. We need to end this soon Vincenzo before someone gets killed." He nods, face darkening for a minute. "I agree with you. I have to go back to the club today to deal with the mess. Maybe torture some people and then we could grab lunch? I grin at him, glee apparent on my face. "You read my mind." I make a move to get up when he pulls me back down, basically laying me across his chest. "Just a few more minutes." I stare at him, laughing as he pouts. "Okay." We just lay there in silence, enjoying each other's company. "I could get used to this." He says, running his fingers through my hair. "Hmm?" I say distractedly, tracing patterns across his chest, looking at his tattoos. "I could get used to this. Waking up next to you every morning. Having a good nights sleep." I smile at him shyly, "yeah me too. I can't remember the last time I slept through the night." He hums contently as I continue tracing his tattoos. He had a tattoo of the mafia's symbol, a wolf on his chest. He also had a very intricate cross on his chest. His biceps had a beautiful fallen angel inked. I liked that he didn't cover his whole body with tattoos, just ones that meant something to him. "Do you have any?" He asks, eyes watching me relaxed as I lazily trace his tattoos. "Two. " His eyebrows shoot up in surprise. "Can I see them?" I nod, sitting up. He opens his mouth to protest my change of position but no words come out as I take off my tank top, leaving me in my black bra. I'm not gonna lie, it is pretty empowering to know that I could make the Italian Don speechless. Luciano's eyes roam my body, dark and appraising. He lets out an appreciative growl and I can't help but blush. To my surprise, I didn't feel shy or cheap. I felt beautiful, wanted and dare I say, sexy. I point to my hips and his gaze follows my movement, almost like in a trance. His arms lift up to trace my tattoo of a Phoenix rising from the ashes. A shiver runs down my spine as his warm touch lightly touches my skin. "It's beautiful." "Thank you. I have another one that's pretty similar to yours." I turn around, facing my back towards him so that he could see the tattoo of the fallen angel wings I had across my shoulder blades with a cross intertwined in the center. He gently pushes my hair over my shoulder so that he could trace the tattoo. He chuckles and I turn my head slightly, looking at him over my shoulder. "What?" "Nothing. It's just..its pretty amazing that you and I have similar tattoos. Ah shit, what the hell are you doing to me cara? I'm starting to spout corny shit now." I burst out laughing at his tone, putting my tank top back on. I get off the bed, narrowly escaping his attempts to pull me back in, smirking cheekily when I succeed. "You've always been corny." A challenging glint enters his eyes as he stands up swiftly and my eyes widen. "Oh really?" "Uh huh. I'm gonna go take a shower." He stalks towards me as I take a step back towards the door. "We could shower together. Save water and all that." I gulp as my brain starts projecting images of Luciano naked in the shower. "Uhh..maybe some other time. I should get going. Don't wanna be late." With that, I dash out of the door, Luciano's laughter echoing after me. Going down the stairs, I enter my room without bumping into anyone. I was thankful for that because I didn't know how to explain me coming down from his floor in the morning. I wasn't sure if Luciano wanted the others to know that we were...whatever we were. I had no intention of hiding it but I wasn't exactly planning to shout it from the rooftops. Not right now. After my shower, I dry off and blow dry my hair. Walking into my walk in closet, I sift through my clothes wanting to put a little effort into my appearance. Since we would be balancing work and play, I decide on a pant suit with an oversized blazer and a corset top.
I put on some foundation and concealer, line my eyes with eyeliner and coat my lashes with mascara, my normal everyday makeup look. I spice up my look with a simple Smokey eye and some highlighter, keeping it subtle so that it doesn't look like I'm trying too hard. Leaving my hair down, I slip into some low heeled pumps and grab my Louis Vuitton purse. Making sure I have everything I need, I tuck my gun into my waistband and head downstairs. Luciano and I had slept in so it was already lunch time. The others along with Magdalene are in the kitchen, about to have lunch. Luciano is no where in sight as I enter. "Glad you slept in today. Loving the suit babe." Emilia says as she hugs me. I hug her back, blushing slightly as I remember the reason or rather the person that made that possible. "Are you following us to the club?" Angelo asks as he takes in my attire. I nod and he fist pumps, Luca high-fiving me. "Yes, party time." Angelo says and we all roll our eyes. "You're going there to fix the damage that Connor did, not party." Emilia reminds him and he playfully scowls at her. "Don't be such a party pooper babe." "She's right. We've got a lot do work to do." Luciano walks in, shooting a playful glare at Angelo. "Sir yes sir." Angelo playfully salutes him and Luciano just rolls his eyes. He shoots me a smile as he takes a seat beside me, making everyone stare at us in shock. "Looks like you guys made up." Luca says with a smile and Luciano just glances at me slyly. "Something like that." Sofia and Emilia shoot us a suspicious look but Magdalene brings out the food at that moment. We all dig in, absolutely famished. When lunch is over, the nanny brings Frankie in who had just woken up from his nap. "Hey little man." His eyes widen with excitement when he sees me and he runs over to me, jumping into my arms. I ruffle his hair, giving him a kiss on the head. He starts rambling on about something and I watch his animated expression fondly. Feeling a stare in the side of my head, I turn to find Luciano staring at me with an unreadable expression on his face. I raise a questioning eyebrow at him and he just shakes his head. Frankie finishes his story and Luciano interrupts, pretending to be offended. "I thought I was your favourite, buddy. Now you don't even say hi to me." Frankie turns to him and with a cheeky smile, hugs me close. "That's because Uhyessa is my favourite now." Luciano's eyes widen with shock before he pouts, as we all burst out laughing. "So that's how it is. Alessandra here keeps stealing everything from me." He winks at me sideways and I blush. I notice everyone staring at us suspiciously when Frankie suddenly lets out an excited squeal. Luciano groans playfully when he notices where Frankie's gaze is focused on as everyone else laughs. I look at everyone confused as Luciano opens his arms and Frankie jumps into his arms. "My kid has a weird obsession with ties." Sofia says half laughing half exasperated. Luca just smirks, lifting his eyebrows up and down teasingly. "It's a Moretti thing." Sofia blushes deeply and I laugh at the sexual reference. Little man here is busy demolishing the tie that Luciano had neatly knotted against his shirt. When he's had his fill, he gets off Luciano's lap and goes to his mother. I laugh at the look of Luciano's destroyed tie and beckon him to come closer. He turns in his seat to face me and I stand so that I can reach up to him. I hear the girls gasp when he places a hand gently on my waist as I stand between his legs and Angelo mutters "something like that he says." "Done." I straighten his tie and he sends me a panty dropping smile. "Did he just..smile?" Luca says to the rest. "Thank you tesoro." "Tesoro?!!!" Sofia exclaims and I blush. The blush grows even deeper when he places a kiss on my forehead, eliciting squeals from the girls and wide eyed looks from the boys. Luciano chuckles and I glare at him, embarrassed with all the attention. "Ready to go babe?" He says smirking mischievously and I know he's doing this on purpose. "BABE?!! ALESSANDRA CHIARRA MORINO!" Emilia yells and I see her start to walk over to me, her eyes wide, her smile scaring the crap out of me. Sofia follows behind her, looking as if she can't decide between hugging me or strangling me for not telling them anything and that's when I know that I need to get out of here. "Yup, we need to go. Move Vincenzo. Move!" I basically push a laughing Luciano out of the kitchen, making a beeline for the car. Angelo and Luca follow behind cackling away but are smart enough to not get in the way of their partners. Emilia and Sofia chase after us as Luciano grabs my hand and we sprint to the car. His men who are waiting outside turn wide eyed when they see their boss running from his sister and sister in law, the second in command and advisor clutching their stomachs and howling with laughter behind them. Luciano opens the car door for me and basically carries me in, getting in after and shutting the door, instantly locking it. Emilia and Sofia bang on the door, threatening us to get out while Luca and Angelo quietly slip into the car behind us. "Drive James." Luciano tells James who's desperately trying to hold back his laughter. The car speeds off, leaving the two crazy girls in its wake, who are still yelling and pointing at us. I exhale loudly, leaning back against the car seat. Luciano does the same before turning to look at me. We stare at each other for a few seconds before bursting out in laughter, James staring at us slightly terrified through the rear view mirror. "Do we have to come home tonight?" I ask him, slightly terrified of what was gonna be awaiting me. Luciano seems to feel the same as he shudders, "maybe I should get us a hotel room."
