(for the more thirsty folks, lemon's coming up soon with pt. 2)

How do you imagine Y/N looks like?? Perhaps I can draw her with Hanako Ouo?!

- - -

The girl stood her ground, facing the spirit.

"So, Y/N." Hanako said coolly. She was taken aback by his calm, collected tone. Just yesterday, he had sounded so nervous and pained.

"Any last words?"

Y/N felt tears well up in her eyes. She rushed to Hanako, arms stretched out wide.

She looked like she was going to collapse. Hanako got a little worried.

"Y/N?"

She didn't answer, instead burying her face in his chest. Ghost boy stood frozen on the spot as she wrapped her arms around him. It was there that she began to tremble, legs growing weak. Finally...

"I don't know..." Y/N bursted into a quiet sob, shamefully looking at the floor. "But I have tears I wanted to shed."

Hanako's grip on the knife grew taut. He forced himself to stay in a stiff position.

If he was going to kill her, he wanted to make it quick. He wanted to forget it as soon as possible; no exchange of words or actions to haunt him for another eternity.

But he couldn't help but slowly slink his arms around her, too. He had never hugged someone; but if anyone needed an embrace, Y/N was definitely a priority.

She was trembling all over, hands curled so tightly her knuckles were white. Hanako had never held something so fragile.

He didn't mind that his uniform got wet with her tears. He let her keep crying and crying and crying.

"Any last words?" He repeated in a steely voice. He couldn't handle seeing her in pain anymore.

Y/N slowly looked up, cheeks flushed in red from anguish. Her eyes were welled up with already pouring tears.

"I'm not ready."

The knife almost fell from his trembling hands. Hanako gritted his teeth, tightening his grip. He had to finish her before this moment could cause them any more trouble.

He lifted the knife above her head. Y/N looked up with wide eyes.

First, they were of terror and fear. Of instinct to run away.

But she stayed put. Slowly, a warm smile formed on her face.

"Thank you, Hanako-kun."

Hanako couldn't move his hands. His grip only got worse and worse. He tried to plunge down, but he couldn't. Eventually...

His arms gave away. Hanako's shoulders fell in defeat.

"Hanako?!" Y/N said with a start.

He bit his lip, slowly putting down the knife. He finally succombed to the bitter truth he had tried to avoid:

"I'm not, either."

Y/N's eyes went wide.

"Hanako..."

He looked at her warily, hands gripping his uniform tightly.

"I can't do it."

"B-But I don't want you to vanish!" Y/N exclaimed, gripping him by the shoulders. Hanako looked at her incredulously as she steadied her pained eyes with his.

"What about your duty? What about the other Supernaturals?!"

"What about you?"

Y/N tensed up. Through her tears she forced a smile, then said the biggest lie she'd ever say.

"I-I was kidding! I am ready!" Y/N blurted. "I can die! It's for you! It's for-"

She was silenced by Hanako gently carressing her right cheek.

"Don't lie to me, Y/N." Hanako steadily murmured.

Y/N went silent, hopelessly looking up at him.

"But I..."

"Hey." He cut in, steadying his warm gaze with her teary-eyed ones. "It's still 4:30... not exactly the end of the day."

Y/N's eyes widened.

"W-we still have time..?"

"You've had one last meaningful moment with your friends," Hanako adjusted his hat, looking to the side curtly.

"I'm sure we can have one as well?"

Y/N's eyes shone. Maybe, that was just what she needed before her wish was fulfilled.

"Of course..."

"It's not as cloudy today."

"There's a lot of stars!"

Hanako stood to the side with a small smile, arms behind his back. He allowed Y/N to skip around the rooftop, looking up at the sky in fascination.

"It's the best view for stargazing," he lifted his feet off the ground, floating towards the rail. "I had a habit of doing that, so I know all the good spots."

Y/N wasn't listening. She was still wandering around as if she were in a daze, arms stretched out to the sky.

Hanako easened up a little, watching her wistfully. It was better to see Y/N happy and carefree than anxious and afraid.

"Have you never seen a star before?" He teased.

"Oh I have!" Y/N still had her hand outstretched. "I just never got the confidence to look at one in the open!"

Hanako was aghast.

"How so?"

"Mum always makes me stay indoors during the night," Y/N still had her eyes affixed on the sky. "And I'm scared of the dark. Combined with that, I only watched them from my window."

Hanako was shocked by this small revelation.

"I wish I had my telescope..." He mumbled to himself.

"Telescope?" Y/N looked at him in surprise.

'Oh, I said that out loud?!'

"Ah... I was rather fond of astrology," Hanako smiled shyly, floating up. He stretched his arm as if he were reaching for a star.

"I can name all of them, you know? All of the stars." He held his chin high in pride.

"Wow!" Y/N looked up at him in amazement. "I envy you!"

"Hmm?" Hanako looked down at her in surprise. "Don't worry! I can teach you. It's a piece of cake to memorize-"

"Not that!" Y/N pursed her lips, twiddling her fingers. "It's just that... you can float."

Hanako smiled widely to try and combat a wave of laughter.

"You're jealous because I float?"

"I'd like to see the stars up close!" Y/N protested bashfully. "It's always something I've wanted to try!"

Hanako thoughtfully looked at her determined expression. Finally, an idea came to him.

"Are you scared of heights?"

Y/N looked at him, stumped.

"Wh-what...?"

"Well you see, I could make you float." He hummed, crossing his arms behind his head. "But I'm not sure if I can handle it..."

Y/N blushed furiously.

"Are you calling me heavy?!"

"No!" Hanako exclaimed instantly, shaking his head. "I'd never!"

Y/N crossed her arms, more confused than ever.

"What do you mean, 'can't handle'?"

"You see, I've never done this before..." Hanako trailed off pensively. "..I don't trust myself to-"

Y/N rushed to the edge of the rail. She catapulted herself off the edge.

"Y/N?!"

Hanako caught her before she could hit the ground below, wrapping his arms around her. Hanako stared at her in utter disbelief as she smiled brightly.

"What's wrong with you?!"

"I trust you!" Y/N stuck her tongue out.

Hanako puffed his cheeks in a way to fight down his frustrated blush.

"But I..."

"See here!" Y/N gestured to the wisps floating by her feet. "I'm floating!"

Hanako looked down in surprise. His stern expression slowly changed into delight.

"Ha... that works!"

"Hell yeah it does!"

The tightly-knit pair shared a small laughed. After a little while, Y/N spoke up...

"So... you said you know the names of all the stars?"

Hanako grinned brightly.

"That I did."

"Will you introduce me to a few...?"

The spirit's eyes widened in excitement. He pulled away, grabbing her wrist.

"You don't even have to ask!"
