Sarah POV:
The following week, I had my first ultrasound.
"How are you, Ms. Reyes?" Dr. Gaynes asked when she walked into the room. "Good. I have a little morning sickness but other than that, I'm fine." I replied. "That's good. Sit back for me and pull your shirt up, please." She replied.
When she began, a smile came to my face when I saw the little peanut sized baby growing in my stomach.
"Judging from the size of the baby, I'd say you are about six weeks along. I would estimate your due date around December 18th." She said with a soft smile. "Wow." Kade whispered.
"You have a very healthy baby. I'll give you a list of vitamins you will need to take and some herbal medication for your sickness and then your free to go." Dr. Gaynes said and smiled at me. "Thank you." I replied as she cleaned the gel off my stomach.
When we got home, I called Lana to tell her the results of the ultrasound.
"How far along are you?" She asked. "About six weeks. Doc said my due date is in December." I replied.
Lana was now three months pregnant and had just found out that she was having a little boy. Ryder, of course, was over the moon about it. They decided to name the baby Jonah.
"I can't wait to find out what I'm having." I told her. "What do you want it to be?" Lana asked. "I honestly don't care. I'm just excited for the baby to get here." I said. "I am, too. Dad's still in shock that we're both pregnant at the same time." Lana told me and laughed lightly. "I think he's in shock that we're pregnant at all." I replied.
"Fuck, I gotta go." Lana said and hung up quickly.
She was throwing up more often for the last couple of weeks and often had to cut our conversations short.
I hadn't really had many symptoms of the pregnancy. I had weird cravings now and again, but no mood swings. My morning sickness wasn't nearly as bad as Lana's. Now that she was getting bigger, she was getting more uncomfortable and wasn't able to get much sleep.
The next morning, the clinic was the busiest it had ever been. I had been running it for about a month and a half already and I was getting more and more patients.
"Shauna Davis?" I called out into the waiting room.
"How are you today?" I asked as I lead her back to one of the rooms. "I'm okay." She replied. "So what are we here for today?" I asked. "I've been sick for the last few days." She replied.
I began to check over her vitals and took her temperature.
"You have a fever of 101.3. Common flu. I'll prescribe you some antibiotics and you should feel better in a couple of days." I told her.
I didn't get home until around nine that night and I was exhausted.
"How was work, baby?" Kade asked as he sat next to me. "Busy. How did the crate shipment go?" I asked. "Without a hitch. We have another regular on our hands." He replied.
The club had been doing great money wise for the last few months. With the clinic opening and the MCs getting more business we were able to update the club and tattoo shop a lot.
Marley had been able to get brand new tools for the shop and the club was remodeled a little.
Dean had apparently been great with cars and bikes and we were able to open up a garage for him.
He and Dana were doing a lot better.
Dana's nightmares came less frequent but were still there. She had finally started to open up to the MC a little more.
Dad had run it by the club to match in Dean as a member of the MC and we all agreed. Dean was so excited to become part of the family.
Marley had covered his Hellhound tattoo with the angel wings that turned out beautifully. The man had talent, that's for damn sure.
Kade POV:
"Six weeks, huh?" Dean asked. "Yeah, man. The baby looks like a peanut." I told him. "Hope it don't come out looking like one." Marley replied. "Fuck off." I said and laughed.
"You and Lana got the nursery set up for Jonah?" Samuel asked Ryder. "Almost. We just need a crib and it will be ready to go." He replied. "Hormones still going wild?" Danny asked. "Yeah, but in a good way." Ryder said and winked. "That's my daughter, Ryder." Samuel said and glared at him. "Sorry, boss." Ryder replied.
With Ryder having no filter, I was surprised Samuel hadn't hit him yet.
It was weird. Before Ryder and I had gotten our old ladies, most of what we talked about was which girl we had in our bed and now we're talking about our kids.
"I tell ya guys, I'm ready to settle down myself. I'm getting too damn old to just sleep around." Marley said. "Dude, you're twenty nine." Danny told him. "Yeah, exactly. I ain't gettin' any younger." Marley replied.
Life had gotten a lot better for the MC. Money wasn't nearly as tight as it used to be, Sarah's clinic was a success and Lana's career as a psychologist was great.
Ryder and I had started working with Dean at the mechanic shop. It was actually fun working with Dean.
He had fit in surprisingly well here and quickly became a close friend of ours.
His sister was still having trouble, though. She didn't speak to any of us much aside from her brother and the girls. What happened to her haunts her and probably will for the rest of her life.
"How is Dana doing at school, Dean?" I asked him.
Dean just shook his head.
"She doesn't talk to anyone there. She hasn't tried making any friends but I guess I get it. She barely trusts me anymore let alone anyone else." He replied.
It hurt Dean to see that his little sister didn't trust him like she used to.
"Sometimes I think she blames me for what happened." He continued. "Dude, it wasn't like you had a choice. It hasn't been that long. She's adjusting, though. She'll get there. You just have to be patient." Ryder told him. "Yeah." Dean replied, quietly.
