{ Flashback / Third Person POV }
Alastair Boudreaux- was a wealthy man because he had old money that belonged to his family, who always had some sort of ties within the mafia.
Alastair married a beautiful and wealthy woman named Cora. Not long after they had gotten married, they found out that Cora was pregnant with their very first child.
It all happened so quick.
Nine months later Cora gave birth to their son, Ander Eros Boudreaux. Who came out to be a perfect mix between the two of them.
Cora had always dreamed of being a wife and mother as most girls do.... but she also was very aware that this life wasn't a fairytale where you ended up living happily ever after.
She was so full of light, that only Alastair had the power to dim.. and he did so knowingly.
Anyone looking in from the outside would've thought that Cora's and Alastair's relationship was the perfect dream. They were a very wealthy married couple, who were protected by the mafia without having to get their hands dirty, they even had a healthy and beautiful son. Everyone knew Cora loved Alastair, and everyone loved his charm. Most assumed he loved her as well. And maybe he did, but if he did then he clearly didn't know how to love.
When their son Ander was four years old, Alastair went on business trip from Greece to America, and he found himself in a bar when he met— Scarlett Castellanos . Her father was American and she was visiting him that summer and through the fall.. but her mother was Greek, and when winter hit she would eventually move back to Greece.
Scarlett was gorgeous. She was full of life, and had the body of a model. Her being half Greek was a bonus. Alastair spent the whole night until the bar closed drinking with her. When it was time for them to go their separate ways Alastair just wouldn't let her go. He knew it was wrong, after all they were both drunk, Scarlett more so than him. She was a stumbling mess but still he took her back to his hotel telling himself that she couldn't make it home in her state.
Which may have been true, but as wealthy as he was he could've rented her a separate room or a ride home. He thought about it but shook that thought right out of his head.
He took advantage of her.... He knew it was wrong....
But she was flirting with him in the bar...
As if that's an excuse...

The next morning Scarlett woke up with a pounding headache, completely confused as to why she was so sore. Then she realized she lost her virginity to some random guy in a suit, that she flirted with at a fancy bar. Reality hit her like a train.
She was ashamed. She didn't know if she gave her consent or not. She felt like a slut. So she snuck out, and walked back to her fathers place.
She spent that whole day crying wondering why she was so stupid, after all she was the one to flirt with a man she barley knew. She blamed herself for getting so drunk that she couldn't remember anything. F
rom that point on she swore that she would never drink again.
She was saving herself for marriage, and she thought she ruined that.
All of this sounds horrible and twisted, and it was. However it only got worse.
The day after Scarlett was asked by her father to be his assistant for the day, because his was out sick. She had to take notes in his meetings, and things like that. Nothing to hard.
So she did it wanting to help out her father, only when she got to the meeting Alastair walked in, and a few of the other partners asked him how his wife and son were. She didn't want to cause a scene so she kept her mouth shut, and her head down and continued to take notes. All while trying not to cry or run out of the building.
Shame washed over Scarlett again. She wanted to apologize to his wife for even flirting with him, she wouldn't have if she had known.

That next week Alastair had tried to contact or talk to Scarlett, only she ignored him. She wasn't going to make the same mistake twice. Eventually he went back to Greece, only she didn't know he was from there.
Because when winter came around and she landed in Greece, Alastair met her at the airport. Scarlett had no idea how he knew she was their, or even why. Only as their eyes connected, and Alastair was going to say his speech he had prepared about it being a mistake and to make sure she kept her mouth shut about it all.
Scarlett threw up all on his expensive shoes.
Alastair somehow knew right then that he made a big mistake because Scarlett was pregnant and having his child.
All that runs through his head is that his family would disown him, his wife would divorce him, business deals would fall through, and the mafia would have a time with it. His whole life would be ruined as well as his reputation.
Alastair couldn't have that..
Right then and there he told Scarlett how it was going to go.
Only what he didn't know was that Scarlett came from a pretty wealthy family on her mothers side as well who were kind of friends with the mafia.
Scarlett wasn't a pure light like he once thought. She was fire, with a little grace. She never dreamed of becoming a mother, and the baby would ruin her chances of being married like she planned.
She didn't know he was married, and she didn't agree with going back to his hotel room, or having to having sex with him.
But none of that mattered now..
When Alastair demanded she abort the baby, with some back alley doctor. She kneed him between the legs, and told him to go to hell.
She may have not of dreamed of being a mother, but she sure as hell was going to give it her best shot now.
She personally couldn't kill the innocent child inside of her, she had first thought about it but she couldn't.
————
Alastair told her if she wouldn't abort it, then she wouldn't get anything from him but a check after the baby was born. He didn't want anything to do with the child, who he started calling a disgrace.
Scarlett ripped the check, determined to raise this baby on her own. She had the money. After all both of her parents had money, and she had other connections. She had a supporting and loving mother who would support her choice in keeping the innocent baby, and help raise it.
————
Nine months later Scarlett had the baby in her home with her mother by her side. The baby turned out to be a girl— who she named Andrea Danae Castellanos.
Scarlett took her mothers maiden name, being her parents weren't together, so she gave her daughter her surname as well.
She picked the name Andrea, because it sounded beautiful and strong.. and she picked Danae after her great grandmother, who had married a mafia man.

Alastair went back to his life that seemed like a lie after meeting Scarlett. He knew what he did was wrong but after all, he learnt how to treat women poorly from his own father.
He vowed to teach his son something different because he regretted everything he did.
And he always wondered what his child with Scarlett would look like, or what that child would be like. Alastair didn't even know his own child's gender. It was pathetic and sad.
But he made his choice, he had commitments, and he knew how wrong he was but he wasn't willing to admit it.
————
Scarlett focused on her beautiful baby girl Andrea, who she loved with everything in her.
Scarlett's mother Athena, was their biggest supporter. She was Scarlett's and Andrea's only other place of love and acceptance, other than each other.
The three of them together had a few years of pure and unconditional love, and memories that were mostly magical.
That is until something terribly tragic happened...
