“Are you crying?” Avi tried to wipe my tears but I didn’t let him. I cried harder. I don’t know what to do. I just want to be with Shiv.

“You’re really an idiot.” He laughed at me. I looked at him, how can he laugh at me and called me an idiot after he confessed me that he has feeling for me.

“Oh my god! Look at your face. How you’re crying like a child. You really need to grow up girl. Now, carefully listen to me. I said I have feeling for you, right?” I just nodded.

“Do you think I only have feelings as your lover? By feelings I meant I have feelings for you as a brother. Ani, you’re not less than a sister to me. Today Raghuveer is looking sad after he got the call from Sukhdev ji. He was happy thinking about Avik and Ani’s marriage proposal. But after hearing Avi thinks Ani like a sister, he becomes sad. I think I can’t hide it anymore. I can’t see him sad like this. I can’t wait for them to tell it. I cleared my throat.

“Raghu, I have something to tell you.”

“Is it about today?”

“No. It’s about Ani. I know I’m not in a place to tell this but I can’t wait anymore for Ani to tell you. Don’t get her wrong, she was just waiting for right time to tell you.”

“What about Ani? If Ani has something to tell me she doesn’t have to wait for the right time. I’m her father you know.”

“I know but there are some circumstances which don’t allow us to tell even to our closes one. So, I hope you don’t take it in a wrong way in your heart.”

“ok, tell me.”

“Our Ani already has someone in her life, Raghu.”

“Who is he?”

“You know him. It’s Shiv Kapoor.”

“You mean Capt. Shiv Kapoor.” I nodded.

“Why didn’t you tell me earlier if you knew it?”

“I already told you I wasn’t in a place to tell this because Ani and Shiv they together wanted to tell this to you. But I can’t see you sad because you think you can’t find an eligible guy who will keep Ani happy. I think Shiv is really a good guy for Ani and you also know it. So, don’t be sad thinking about Ani’s future. She has Shiv and will be happy with him.”

“When did I give permission to them? I won’t until they ask it formally.”

“I heard that Shiv and his Mom were about to come to our home asking Ani’s hand for marriage but he needed to join earlier after the incident.”

Shiv’s POV:

Ani told me about her and Avik marriage proposal. The whole story from the beginning to cancelling the proposal because Avik thinks Ani as a sister. I really want the meet the Avik guy and thank him. He didn’t know from what he saved us by not having feelings for Ani. And Ani is happy to meet him after the years. I’m happy for them too.

Unlike usual Ani called me again and told me that her mummy told sir about us, realising sir was tensed and sad after the whole brother and sister thing.

I don’t know how sir is taking it. About Ani and I are in a relationship. I was just thinking what to do after hearing that, I hear my phone rings with Sir’s name flashing across the screen. You couldn’t believe my hand is shaking. I tapped on the green button.

“Jai hind Sir.”

“Jai hind. You already know why I’m calling you this time.”

“Yes Sir.”

“I trusted you with my daughter, but what did you do?”

“I fell in love with her Sir.”

“I’m not joking young man.”

“I know I broke your trust sir. I’m sorry for that. But I’m not sorry for fall in love with Ani.”

“Now what are you going to do about this?”

“I’m going to marry her. I mean if you give permission, I’m ready to marry her.”
