I see Shinichi is being hit by the kidnapper countless time making my stomach churn in fear. Akiko are right beside me hugging me tight shivering in fear but all of my attention are on Shinichi's small figure. Just as I see Shinichi is being beaten up, a flashback of my nightmare came back making me shiver non-stop in fear.

Akiko : C-Conan-kun. JAMBO!! Please save Con-....

I see Akiko turn to look at where her dog is and I too did the same but seeing nothing. I turn back around looking at Shinichi.

Erena : Sh-Shinichi!!

I see Shinichi being beaten so many time until he can barely move and the kidnapper is walking up to him alerting me making me shaking now.

Kidnapper : Playtime's over. You're gonna burst right open.

Akiko : STOP!!!

Erena : CONAN!!!! No, this is not happening! Not again! Please!

Without any second thought I rush up to Conan after seeing the kidnapper swinging the bat to hit him, hugging him tightly in a protecting manner acting as a shield, my (E/C) eyes shut close waiting for the impact.



I was being beaten by the kidnapper until I can barely move.

Conan : It's no good. With this little body.... Even after we find the criminal, we can't catch him up or beat him!! We can't do anything!!!

Kidnapper : Playtime's over. You're gonna burst right open.

I shut my eyes close giving up when I feel someone hugging me tight shielding me. Quickly opening my eyes seeing (Y/N), shaking, eyes shut tightly.

Seeing the kidnapper swinging his bat making my blood drained from my body cause this mean (Y/N) will take most of the hit.

Conan : No!!! (Y/N)!!!!

I tried to move but (Y/N) is hugging me so tight.

Conan : LET GO OFF ME ERENA!!

I shouted but her grip only tighten. Seeing the bat is almost hitting us making me shut my eyes not wanting to see a scene that will haunt me for the rest of my life.

We wait for the hit, but it never came. I open my eyes seeing Ran stopping the bat with her arm.

Ran : AAAHHHH!!!!!

Ran kick the kidnapper on the chin and punch him a few time in the stomach making him cough out blood. The kidnapper then fall on his knees holding his stomach. Ran then proceed on flying kicked him, knocking him out.

Conan : A-amazing...., but scary.

Kogorou : Ran!! Is the girl okay?!

Ran : Yeah! I think we were just in time.... But Conan-kun and Erena-chan....

Conan : Aw, this is nothing.... But how did you know we were here?

I asked Ran. Ran then point to Akiko's dog.

Ran : The dog showed us where to go! The dog came back to the house covered in blood....

FLASHBACK



Ran : I wonder where Conan-kun and Erena-chan went to. Huh? Isn't that the dog Conan-kun and Erena-chan rode. He's covered in blood.

I see the dog run to the house with something in his mouth.

Ran : Oh no, what happened?

I lowered down my body a bit to see what's in the dog's mouth. Then Mr. Tani and Otou-san come behind me.

Ran : A shoe.

Tani : Hm? That shoe.... It's Akiko's!!

Ran : They must've find out where Akiko is and in danger!!

Kogorou : FOLLOW THE DOG!! HE MUST BE LEADING US TO WHERE THE LITTLE GIRL IS!!

I quickly follow the dog with Otou-san, Mr. Tani and Asou-san right behind me. Upon arriving there, I quickly went inside seeing the kidnapper swinging his bat to Conan-kun and Erena-chan. Moving in front of them, I blocked the bat with my arm.

Ran : That's what happened.

Conan : Now I see....

Ran then move away to her dad leaving me behind. I notice that (Y/N)-chan is still hugging me tight, eyes shut tightly, shaking. Quickly, I hug her comforting her and I can feel her grip loosening around me.

I hear a sniffling sound coming from her, her shoulder trembling making me engulf her entirely in my embrace spooning her. She then release the grip she had around my neck but instead wrap them around my body burying her face in my chest.

Conan : How can I forgot about her!! It's okay now. Look, I'm all find. Well, some blood and bruises here and there but fine. We're detectives. This is what we do. You too, how can you come in front of me like that? What if Ran didn't come here in time? You could be injured, badly!

Erena : B-but Sh-Shini-Shin-Shinichi. You_ hit_ bleeding_. You_ be kill. D-don't w-want t-t-to l-lose y-yo-you.

I comfort her trying to calm her down. After a few minutes the sniffling died down. She aren't shaking anymore but her arms that are wrapping around my body aren't loosening as if not wanting to let me go. I can feel my face becoming warmer.

Conan : Haaah.... What have you done to me (Y/N)-chan? I'm starting to feel weird around you. But.... Why does it feels so right? Like.... This is how it should be!

I look down seeing (Y/N)-chan have fallen asleep while hugging me. Her face have a tear stained running down from her eyes to her cheek to her chin. Her eyes, nose and cheeks are all red.

She looks calm now. I tried to release her arm from around me, but this action make her grip on my shirt tighten. Her face showed disapprovement not wanting to be separated from me.

Conan : It's okay (Y/N)-chan. I'm here.... I'm not going anywhere. Trust me.

I whisper in her ear making sure no one heard. I can see her sleeping face soften and her grip around me loosening. I kiss her forehead softly for a while before moving away.

I take her arm away from me and wrap them around my neck putting her on my back her face near my neck. I can feel her breath on my neck near my sensitive spot making me shiver.

I brush it off and went to Ran and the others. Ran then kneel beside me and clean my wound with her handkerchief. Tani have came running a few minutes ago quickly engulfing her daughter in a big hug with Asou right behind him.

Tani : AKIKO!!

Akiko : PAPA!!

Tani : There, there, it's all okay now....

Asou : The miss.... I'm so happy you're safe.

Kogorou : Hah.... What was that Asou-san? We've caught your partner. Give it up already.

I turn to old man seeing him tying the kidnapper with a rope he found. The kidnapper is all awake now.

Kidnapper : Partner? I grabbed the little girl when I saw her in the hotel. I didn't have no partner.

Kogorou : What?! Then you kidnapped the girl again from where she was being held captive?!

Kidnapper : Captive?! Don't make me laugh!! She was sitting around eating food at the hotel restaurant....

Kogorou : What does this mean? What about the first kidnapping?

Conan : I knew it! She wasn't being kidnapped.... It was really the girl who....

I look at where Akiko, her father and her butler is.

Akiko : Um, Papa.... What happened is....

Asou : Y-you mustn't say, miss!

Tani : Are you still here? I want you out of my sight....

Tani grab Asou collar and threaten him but Akiko step in front of Asou.

Akiko : Stop Papa!! It's not Asou-san's fault!!

Asou : M-miss....

Akiko : Akiko's the bad one!!

Tani : Wha-?

Akiko : Because the one who thought of the kidnapping plan, was Akiko!!

Everyone were shock, but I've figured it out already.

Akiko : Ever since Mama died three years ago, all you've ever done is work.... You never care about me.... I was lonely by myself. So, that's why I thought if your work stopped, you would be with me. So, I made Asou-san help me with the kidnapping plan.... I made him say 'If you want your daughter back, close your company down in one month,'. Asou-san didn't want to help with my plan, but I made him do it!! That's why it's all my fault!! If you're mad, you should be mad at me!! PAPA!!

Kogorou : I see now.... The first kidnapping was nothing but an act.

I nod silently. I look at Tani to see his reaction, but he's expression is unreadable.

Tani : Asou.... Even if you were doing this on my daughter's orders, I find your actions hard to forgive....

Asou : Yes, sir....

Tani : As your punishment, you must make an arrangements at once for a weeklong vacation, starting tomorrow! To the place Akiko has always wanted to go; Australia! And this will of course, be for two, Akiko and me!

Akiko : Papa~💜!!

Asou : Sir~!!

Tani : No, wait this week is the executive meeting. Next week is the stock-holder meeting. And then....

Akiko : Papa?

Asou : S-sir....

Akiko and Asou-san were giving stinky eyes at her/his father/boss. Ran is bandaging me while I chuckle seeing their interaction.

Erena : Ermmmm~.... Shinichi~....

I feel (Y/N)-chan squirm on my back face burying in my neck but not waking up. Instead, I hear her mumble my name making me blush. Ran see this.

Ran : Huh? What's it Conan-kun? Is it hurt?

Ran asked me. I shook my head no.

Conan : I guess she doesn't hear it. Lucky me. How can I tell her I'm feeling like this because of (Y/N)-chan....

Tani : W-we'll definitely do it sometime!!

Kogorou : Well, at any rate, this case is solved!!

Tani : You certainly are a brilliant detective, releasing the dogs to find my daughters location!! Jambo here loves my daughter the most out of all of them....

I look at Tani as he keep on praising old man.

Conan : Tch.... We are the one who did that.... We only used the dog to reduce the amount of time the search would take, and it were we, Kudou Shinichi and (L/N) (Y/N) who found the girl.... But knowing him, he's gonna say....

Kogorou : Hahaha. Just the boon of all my experience!!

I cringe hearing it.

Ran : Conan-kun. Is Erena-chan asleep? Want me to help?

Ran ask me seeing (Y/N)-chan asleep on my back. I look at the sleeping (Y/N)-chan face then turn to her and shook my head no.

Conan : It's okay Ran-neechan. I can managed.

Ran nod her head and let me be.

TIME SKIP

We are all in front of Futatsubashi Middle School.

Tani : I'll send you a reward sometime soon....

Kogorou : Yes, yes. I'll be waiting!💜

Tani said to Oji-san while I am looking at him unsatisfied. I see Akiko stop her father for a moment and turn around running to me and (Y/N)-chan.

She stop in front of me and smile. I smile at her awkwardly then see her taking of one of her flower pin on her hair handing it to me.

Akiko : Here, take this and give it to miss Detective.

She whisper. I take it and nod. My heart are swarming with warmness seeing this gesture towards (Y/N)-chan. It makes me feel so happy that someone recognize (Y/N)-chan as she is.

Akiko then run back to her father taking his hand. She then turn her head around looking at me on new last time.

Akiko : Thank you.... Mr. Detective!💜

Ran then look at me questioningly.

Ran : Mr, Mr. Detective?

I panic and quickly point to old man.

Conan : N-no. Not me.... She means him

TIME SKIP *IN THE CAB*

We are all in the cab with Ran at the very end on the right while old man is on the very left side. Me and (Y/N)-chan in the middle with me beside Ran and (Y/N)-chan in between me and old man, still sleeping her head on my shoulder.

Ran is looking out the window while her father is laughing maniacally.

Kogorou : HAHAHAHA!! Today was the best day ever!!

Conan : Hah.... Speak for yourself.... Me and (Y/N)-chan were forced to drink some kind of drug and had our body shrunk.... And I was beaten up by a kidnapper.... It was the worst day ever....

Ran : Oh, Otou-san! About them.... Professor Agasa asked if we could just keep them at our house for a while?

I hear Ran ask pointing to me and (Y/N)-chan. old man then glance at us, mainly glaring at me thinking. I just laugh awkwardly.

Kogorou : Yeah!! Okay, we'll do that!! I get the feeling that with them around, I'll solved the cases smooth as silk!! We'll take them as long as they wants!

Old man said too loud making (Y/N)-chan whimper loudly in her sleep. I see old man froze for a moment looking at (Y/N)-chan. Confirming that he didn't wake her up, he release a sigh then look at her warmly.

A small smile on his face that no can notice unless they look at him closely. I look at (Y/N)-chan who're sleeping peacefully on my shoulder.

Conan : I guess we're in luck then (Y/N)-chan. Now we can look for the men in black from his detective agency.... But not like this. We were the one who find the kidnapper, but couldn't do anything after that. I was saved and being protected by a girls for god's sake. It's not supposed to go like that.... Something! I have to do something!!
