Yoyoyo whatsup guys. How you guys doing, again? I hope there aren't anything bad happen to you guys. If you doesn't want to read this just skip it until you saw the line.

Soooo, did you enjoy the previous chapter. As you can see, I make it so that (Y/N) is still a strong girl she is. And as in the first chapter, Shinichi himself (Like I didn't make him say that, LOL.) said that (Y/N) is stronger than Ran, but because she quit from the karate team, Ran become the captain as she is the second strongest.

And here, I would like to remind you that (Y/N) is way stronger than Ran, but of course it decreases as (Y/N), but still way stronger than the average kid her size or current age. I will make a special chapter to tell the story behind it all and in that chapter, I will also reveal (Y/N) past event that makes her traumatized.

It may take time though since I am becoming busy as the school have started now after the long holiday. Okay, now that's it. Back to the story....

Kogorou : THE MURDERER IS.... MANAGER YAMAGISHI! YOU!! This man hanging around on Yoko-san's trail was a nuisance. And on top of that, he was her high school boyfriend.... If the media knew, it would be a scandal. And when you had the chance, you caught him hiding in here, got into a fight with him and.... KILLED HIM!! Am I wrong?

I watch as that stupid, gullible detective (Ooops. No offence. I don't hate Kogorou. He is a great detective when he wants to but he is mostly gullible.) lay out his deduction, but I know he's wrong.

Conan : He's wrong!! His reasoning is incorrect!! That man is not the murderer! If I don't shut him up soon....

Kogorou keep on laying out his deduction while lighting up his cigarette when I notice an ashtray on the coffee table. I get on top of the coffee table.

Conan : Sorry, old man!

I kick the ashtray toward him successfully hitting him on the back of his head as he is back facing me knocking him out. He staggers backward and fall onto the single seat sofa unconscious. His head is hanging downward as his face is hidden from everyone view as they are all standing.

This position makes him looks like he is in a deep thought and make them doesn't notice that he is actually unconscious. I hide behind the couch make sure no one notice my presence and use the voice-changer bowtie and set it to old man's voice.

Conan : Right, now I just set this bowtie voice-changer to the old man's voice.



As Kogorou fall to the couch in a sitting position looking like a serious man while he is actually unconscious, everyone look at him worriedly and weirdly.

Megure : H-hey what's wrong?

Inspector Megure ask while Conan get behind the sofa setting up his bowtie to Kogorou's voice. Seeing that Kogorou doesn't answer, Ran tried to call out for Kogorou.

Ran : O-Otou-san....?

Kogorou (C) : Is what I like to say, but that is not the truth.

All : Eh?

Everyone said as Kogorou suddenly talk while in fact it is Conan.

Kogorou (C) : Yamagishi-san, you held a spare keys to this room correct? So, of course you are suspected. If you had killed him, then come to me to have the body 'discovered', you would have kind of proof of your innocence alibi. But, you had no such thing. And Okino Yoko-san, the same thing could be said of you. Being the owner of the apartment, you are the first one to be suspected.

Megure : Then, the killer is.... IKEZAWA YUUKO?!

Yuuko : WAIT-!!

Inspector Megure said as he turns his head to look at Yuuko as she is the remaining suspect. Yuuko tried to deny it when Conan who use Kogorou's voice spoke up.

Kogorou (C) : No.... That's not correct either.

All : WHA-!!

Kogorou (C) : Yuuko-san, you hid the fact that you had been here before, but you told us yourself that you had been attacked by the man who is now dead. If you had indeed killed on the spur of the moment, you wouldn't have said you met him. Even though we had proof that you had been here, only you would have known that you saw the man.

Megure : Then what you're saying is....

Kogorou (C) : Yes.... This is just an educated guess. There is proof to one convict any of those three. However, there is proof to support my guess. The hair that you hid Yamagishi-san.

Conan said into the bowtie answering Inspector Megure question then proceed on laying out his observation making Inspector Megure to get mad at the last sentence.

Megure : WHAT?!

Inspector Megure yell out as he glances toward Yamagishi. Conan continue his deduction.

Kogorou (C) : I saw it. You pretended to slip and you took the hair from the corpse's fingers.

Megure : Why you.... SO YOU ARE THE MURDERER!!

Inspector Megure said as he grabs Yamagishi collar with both hands, looking down at him.

Kogorou (C) : No.... The problem I have is not why Yamagishi-san took the hair in the first place.... A person stabbed in the back and killed instantly had the hair of the stabber in his hands. Don't you think that's odd?

This makes Inspector Megure to loosen his hold on Yamagishi collar, but not fully and turn his head to look at Kogorou.

Megure : Y-yes....

Kogorou (C) : This was made to look like a murder committed by Yoko-san.

Megure : To look like murder..........?! IT CAN'T BE?!

Kogorou (C) : Yes, the killer was.... The deceased Fujie-san himself!!

Conan said shocking everyone in the room as they gasp.

Megure : A.... SUICIDE?!

Inspector Megure exclaim.

Megure : It can't be.... There's no way he could stab himself that way....

Kogorou (C) : That's what he wanted it to look like. If he was stabbed in the back, it couldn't possibly look like a suicide. But, using a simple ice trick.... It is possible! Do you remember the high temperature and the water marks on the floor? And while everything was thrown about, but only the chair near the body's feet was standing? Fujie-san most likely made a hole in a block of ice, then stood on the chair and jumped off backwards, aiming his back at the knife. The high temperature of the room was to help melt the ice quickly. For proof of this, look at the mark on the floor near the body chalk.

Inspector Megure then crouch down and look near the body chalk seeing the weird circle mark on the floor.

Megure : THIS THING HERE?!

Kogorou (C) : It probably matches the size of the handle of the knife perfectly. However, I think Fujie-san overdid himself in trying to frame Yoko-san.

Megure : You mean the hair?!

Kogorou (C) : Yes. He jumped off the chair with her hair in his hand and when Yamagishi-san first saw that, he immediately thought that Yoko-san did kill the man and tried to hide the hair.

Yoko look at Yamagishi while he looks down to the floor.

Yoko : Yamagishi-san....

Yama : Sorry Yoko.... I just thought....

Kogorou (C) : If Fujie-san's fingerprints appear on Yoko-san's brush or something, my reasoning will be proved.

Yoko : But, why would Fujie-kun do such a thing?

Kogorou (C) : That was because, he was still in love with you. Haven't you noticed that you and Yuuko-san look identical from behind? He saw Yuuko-san enter the room and thought it was Yoko-san and attacked her. No, he tried to talk to her.... But, Yuuko-san, frightened by the appearance of this unfamiliar man began to scream and fought back. But, he still thought it was Yoko-san and shocked by her behavior toward him. His rejected love turned into despair and hatred and so....

And before he could finish, Yoko interrupt him.

Yoko : But, he dumped me!! Why would he do this?

Yama : No, that's not right Yoko. The truth is, I asked him to break up with you....

Yamagishi admit making Okino to look at him with mix emotions of sad, angry and shock. There's tears pooling in the corner of her eyes.

Yoko : N-no. How could you....?

Suddenly, the door to the living room burst open and a police officer came running in with a book in his hand.

P.O 2 : INSPECTOR!! WE FOUND THIS DIARY FROM THE VICTIM HOUSE!

Mgure : WHAT?!

Inspector Megure then take the diary from the police officer and read the content. The diary was overflowing with his pain. After they separated, he couldn't forget about her and went back to see her.

He hoped she would stop her career as an idol and come back to him. Then.... all he wanted to do was clear up her misunderstandings.... That's where the words saying he couldn't live any longer ended....

Megure : So it seems, all the lies, misunderstandings and accidents piled up on top of each other to cause this tragedy.

Inspector Megure said his voice fill with disappointment. Without anyone noticing, the cigarette that Kogorou light up have burn all the while the deduction is being laid out.

A soft groan can be heard from a waking Kogorou when the cigarette he is holding between his fingers finally reach in between it resulting in his fingers to burn. This, make Kogorou scream in pain as he regain back his conscious.

Kogorou : OW!!!

Inspector Megure turn to Kogorou in glee as he heard him scream.

Megure : Mouri-kun! You were correct! You really are a great detective!

He exclaim proudly while Kogorou just look at him confusedly. Behind the couch, Conan bring his arm to his forehead as he wipes the sweat that is forming there with his sleeve tiredly. I look to my right seeing Erena looking out into the night sky. I walk to her making sure I didn't make any sound, but fail miserably.

Erena : How's it going?

Erena ask me without looking at me and continue to admire the night sky. I can also hear the tiredness and the broken feeling in her voice. I didn't answer her as I ask her back.

Conan : .... So...., you knew?

Erena : Mmm.... I do....

Conan : Since when?

Erena : Since before Yoko-san said she know Fujie-san and that they have been in a relationship.... I wanted to tell you sooner about that mark near the body chalk, but to focus on hearing the backstory.

Conan : Then, why didn't you solve it?

Erena : I can't bring myself to do it, because at the time, so many thought came into my mine, but one thought caught me....

Conan : What is it?

As I ask her, her head turn toward me as she looks at me in the eyes. I can now see clearly her face that is full of tear stain and sadness in her eyes. She gives a small sad smile.

Erena : I'm afraid that I will become like him....

Tears started to run down her face as she said that. I can feel my heart ache painfully.

Conan : Is the guy she likes doesn't like her or he make her feel like she's been casted away?

Without me realizing, I have engulfed her in a comforting hug as she starts to sob in my chest and gripping my clothes tightly. I rub her head and her back in a soothing manner.





Conan : So, they found the fingerprints after all....

You, Conan and Ran are walking down the sidewalk back home from groceries shopping. Ran is holding your hand while her other hand is carrying the groceries bag. After you guys went home from Yoko's apartment, Conan have told you everything that happens after you went out of there.

Ran : Yup! Just like Otou-san said right on the hairbrush! I never knew he was so smart!~♡ And Yoko-san decided not to sue Yuuko-san after all. She just said they'll be rivals!

You guys are just walking back home when Yoko-san's video of her singing on live stage pop up on the big screen on top of a building nearby. The three of you stop walking to admire it.

Ran : Yoko-san!! She's so strong. Already back on her feet after what happened to her!

Erena : No, Ran.... She's just trying her hardest to perform and hide her grief. Idol always need their fans.

You then feel a droplet of water fall on your hand which Ran held. You look up to see her crying.

Ran : But, I couldn't do that. I could never be as strong as she is....

Erena & Conan : Ran-neechan....

You turn to look at Conan beside you who is looking at Ran. You feel your heart clench and so you turn your head to the front looking down at the pathway.

What you didn't realize is that, when you turn your head from Conan, Conan turn his head to look at you. He can see the sadness on your face.

Conan : (Y/N)....

Conan reach out his hand to yours and hold it. You then turn your head towards him questioningly. Upon seeing your face, he gave you a small reassuring smile and squeeze your hand lightly.

Ran : I can't even sleep at night just because Shinichi and (Y/N) are gone. I'm hopeless, aren't I?

Ran ask you both as the three of you continue walking.

Erena : Y-yea....

Ran : I really am....



I was sitting on the couch in Otou-san office thinking about Shinichi and (Y/N). My eyes are watery with tears pooling in the corner of my eyes.

Ran : It's too weird. For Shinichi and (Y/N) to be gone for an entire week.... Something must have happened. But nothing could do that to Shinichi and (Y/N).... Shinichi.... Come back soon.... Shinichi!!

*RINNGGGG*

While I was thinking about Shinichi and (Y/N), the office phone started to ring. I wipe my tears and take a deep breath calming myself before picking up and answering the call.

Ran : Hello, Mouri Detective Agency....

Shinichi : Ran, it's me.

Ran : Shin-Shinichi....

Shinichi : I just figured you'd probably be crying your eyes out by now, worried about me!



Ran : You jerk.... Why would I be crying?! Where are you now Shinichi? Is (Y/N)-chan with you?

Ran ask through the phone. You and Conan are both in a public phone booth, talking into the phone with the voice-changer bowtie. You guys set it to your real voice.

Shinichi (C) : (Y/N)-chan is with me. We've gotten involved in a real tough case.... I don't think we'll be able to come home soon....

Ran : A case?

Shinichi (C) : Hey, don't worry.... We'll be back as soon as we finish.

Ran : I'll wait. Is (Y/N)-chan's with you? Can I talk to her?

Shinichi (C) : She is. I'll hand the phone to her.

Conan then held out the phone to you. You take it and put it to your ear.

Y/N (E) : Hey, Ran. How're you doing?

Ran : (Y/N)!! I'm doing fine. How're you doing? I miss you so much!! When will you be back?

You then hear Conan chuckling, but with Shinichi's voice as he still hold the bowtie near his mouth. You turn to him glaring at him with your cheeks paint in red.

Conan : Huh, cute!!

Y/N (E) : Woah Ran, slow down. I'm fine and I miss you too. I don't know when I'll be back. As Shinichi said just now, we're stuck in tough cases right now. Might I add, the toughest cases we ever tried to solve. You know us. We would not stop until we find the answer. And don't worry Ran. I'll make sure to be back as soon as I can. As we can. So, believe in us. In Shinichi....

You, Conan and Ran keep on talking till late when you guys end it. You and Conan are on your way back since you guys when out a bit far from the agency. It was cold that night so when a wind blow past you and Conan, it makes you shiver eventhough both of you wear a thick layer of clothing.

You bring your hands to your mouth and breath out warm air into your palm then rub them together. Conan see this and reach out his hand taking one of your hand to him and put it inside of his pocket.

You were shocked at this gesture that you instantly blush a deep red and look down to the ground. You can feel your heart beating faster while Conan just act oblivious, but deep down, his heart is also beating fast. And the hand which Conan take fells so warm in his.

You just let him do it as you let yourself being selfish for once since you thought Conan still have feelings toward Ran. Only if you know.
