I woke up from my sleep and see that Conan is nowhere in our room. Today is the weekend and also my parent's death anniversary. I wonder if Conan remember it.

I got out of the bed and wash up. Right after I went downstairs to Oji-san's office. I went in and see only Oji-san and Ran. Well Ran have a date with Sonoko so she's getting everything done before his date with Sonoko. I went to her and call out to her.

Erena : Ran-neechan?

Ran : Hmmm.... Yes, Erena-chan. What's it?

Erena : Um.... Do you know where Conan-kun have go to?

Ran : Ah, that.... I'm sorry, Erena-chan. But I don't know where he went. When he come down here, he just told me that he is going out and then quickly left. Sorry, Erena-chan....

Ran look at me apologetically. I shook my head as it's fine. I then have some breakfast Ran prepared for me and then told her that I was going to go have a sleepover at professor's house today.

She gives me her consent and I went back to my room and get my already packed stuff for the sleepover. After that, I went back downstairs out of the agency and went straight to professor's house.



I stand in front of professor's front door and stretch out my arm to the doorbell pressing it. I wait for a moment before professor open the door and inviting me in.

Agasa: Ouhhh, (Y/N)-chan! You're here. Come in, come in.

Erena : Good morning professor.

Agasa : Good morning.

Professor then lead me to his living room where I saw Conan sitting on the couch with a bowl of popcorn, a jug of orange juice and pillow and blanket sprawling everywhere around the couch. The living room also look dark with the light and windows off by the curtain that it makes the living room looks like a theatre and the only light in there is from the television.

Conan look up to see me going inside and give me a small gentle smile. I can feel my face getting warm by it, but I was lucky as the room is quite dark to hide my embarrassed face.

I went up to him and sit next to in the middle of the piles of pillow. As soon as I seat, he covered me with his blanket making the two of us share it. I look at him questioningly.

Erena : Why?

Conan : Let's enjoy ourselves today. Don't think about anything other than the movie.

Conan said. Then it come across me that he may did this to make me not think of my past. I look at him and then a small smile crept up to my face.

Erena : Thank you....

Conan : Aah. No. Don't say that. Let's just enjoy our sleepover today.

I nod and Conan then let me choose the movie where going to watch today. As we were enjoying our movie, a thought crosses my mind about the Kudou's

Erena : They help me a lot throughout the year and never have they ask about what happen that night, even though they know that everything that happen that night is complicated from how my parents died.



As you were lost in your thought, you didn't realize that Conan was looking at you. Seeing that you were so lost in thought he call out to you.

Conan : Erena.... Erena.... (Y/N).... (Y/N)!!!!

You jolt up as you turn to look at Conan. He looks at you worried.

Conan : (Y/N).... Are you okay....?

You look at him and heave a sigh then look down to your lap and playing with you finger.

Erena : I am fine Shin-chan.... It' just.... You know, maybe it's time I told you about my family. About what happen that night. That night everything changes for me.

Conan look at you wide eyes as he never expected for you to actually told him about your dark-traumatic-night.

Conan : You know (Y/N).... You don't have to if you don't want to tell me about it. I understand th_....

Erena : NO!! I want you to know.... Your family have help me gone through it and I am grateful for that especially you Shin-chan. You have always been there to protect me and help me through my trauma. I wanted you to know it. I want you to be the first to know it.

You look at him as you say it. He looks at you and heave a sigh then give you a small gentle smile.

Conan : Okay if that's what you want. I wouldn't stop you. Please do tell me everything you want me to know.

Conan said as he snuggles you up in his embrace and cover the both of you in a big warm blanket.

You aren't t really responsive right now as for right at the moment, you are trying to collect yourself to tell him everything that happen years ago.

Flashback to 12 years ago

The two family is seen to be having fun in a restaurant nearby with the parents talking among themselves while the two children from the both families are playing with each other enjoying the dinner served. And yes, it was the Kudou's and (L/N)'s. They are in New Zealand now enjoying their holidays together.

Your mother is a government agent in an undercover while your father's occupation is unknown. Even his best friend Kudou Yusaku didn't know what is his job. But, it's understandable tho since they only know each other for a year and just click together. The same goes with your mother and Shinichi's mother.

You and Shinichi also automatically click and since Shinichi's parents and he himself like mystery novel, you too have started to like mystery novel and Sherlock Holmes thanks to a mysteries lover that keep on rambling about the glory of Sherlock Holmes.

Your family and Kudou's family know a year ago after your family move to stay at Tokyo and in the mansion right beside the Kudou's. As of right now the two family were having a moment of bonding when they eventually part way to each other's hotel room which is only just right beside each other's because it is already late at night.

As your family enter your hotel room, you, in the arms of your father, let him take you to your bed and lay you down on the bed and covering you with blanket.

He then turns to close the lamp near you bed, but you held his hand. He looks at you and you look at him. He then gives you a warm smile.

(F/N) : Yes, my dear princess?

(Y/N) : Daddy.... I always wonder what is your job? You always there with me and mommy. But when you go to work, you always gone for a long time. And now mommy did the same too....

You asked sadly while pouting making you looks like a sad puppy. Your father looks at you with a complicated expression on his face.

(F/N) : Princess.... I-we.... Humm.... Just know that me and Mommy always love you and we always tried our best to protect you. You see, in the past, Daddy is a big bad guy. But, since Daddy meet Mommy, Mommy help change Daddy to who Daddy is now.

You look at your father confusedly. He saw the confusion on your face and chuckle. Your father reaches out your hand to pay your head.

(F/N) : Sleep Princess. It's late already. Don't you want to play with Shinichi tomorrow?

As you heard your father said Shinichi, your face brightens and a smile crept up your face. You nod to your father and snuggle into the blanket, ready to sleep.

(Y/N) : Urm. I'll sleep now. Good night, Daddy.

(F/N) : Good night, Princess.

Your father said as he kisses your head. He then waits there until you fall asleep. After making sure you fall asleep, your father went out to the veranda where your mother is.

Your parents then chill there for a few minutes until the Kudou's couple went out to their veranda too and start to talk with each other since the gap between the two veranda isn't big.

(M/N) : Hey, Yukiko....

Yukiko : Hm.... What?

(M/N) : If something to happen, please take care of (Y/N) for me....

Yusaku and Yukiko look at each other then laugh.

Yukiko : Hahaha. What are you saying so suddenly-....

She said but stop as the couple see the expression on your parents faces. They not a tiny of joke on it and in their eyes that scream sad, pain.

The couple then look at each other again before looking back at your parents worriedly.

Yusaku : What is wrong guys? Is there something going on?

(F/N) : Promise is, that you will take care of her if anything happen to us....

Yusaku : Yes we will. Don't worry about it. Now, tell us what's going on before I dig into it myself-....

Your parents : NO!!!

Your parents shout to Yusaku making not only Yusaku, bit also Yukiko to flinch from shock.

(M/N) : Please don't. You can't know about it. It's too dangerous for you. We are no longer in safe zone, so this is the only way we can think of to safe (Y/N). Remember that no one knows she is my baby. Please keep it hidden.

Yusaku : Is that why her last name is different from the both of you?

(F/N) : Yes. No one should know about her existence as mine and (M/N) daughter. No one....

Yusaku and Yukiko look at the couple in front of them for a moment then heave a sigh, a small sad smile on their lips.

Yusaku : Okay, we promise to take care of (Y/N) for you if something ever happen to you.

Your parents : Thank you.

Your parents said with your father's arm tighten around your mother's waist.



You were reading your father's novel when your father enters the hotel room you guys stay in hurry. You look up at him to see that he is scared.

His eyes frantically looking around the room for something or rather someone until they land on your mother figure at the veranda. He rushes to her as she looks at him confuse and whisper into her ear as to not let you listen to anything.

(F/N) : They're here.

As soon as the word came out of your father's mouth into your mother's ear, she whipped her head to your father wide eyes. She run to you, worried and terrified all over her face.

She then picks you up from your position at the coffee table while your father packs every each one of your clothes into your suitcase not leaving a single thing of your belonging aside.

After he is done packing everything of yours, he takes the suitcase and put it at the veranda of the Kudou's. All the while your father is doing that, your mother hide you in the closet making sure you aren't seen.

(M/N) : Baby, please listen to me.... Never come out from here ever no matter what happen. No matter what happen to me and your Daddy, okay. Please promise me, Baby....

You look at your mother confuse but still nod. You may be five years old physically, but your mind isn't. Just like Shinichi, you can think like an adult, but not too much tho.

Your mother really wanted to put you at the Kudou's veranda, but seeing they're not in their room right now since they went out, she goes against it. She then hands you a phone just right after your father crouch down beside her.

(M/N) : Here, take the phone. There's uncle Yusaku and auntie Yukiko number in it. Call them when you have made sure that no one is in the room or nearby, okay.

You nod to them and take the phone in hand clutching to it tightly. Your parents then kiss your forehead.

(M/N) : Oh baby, I'm so sorry. Please forgive me and your father for what's going to come....

Before you could say anything, the sound of the doorknob being turn violently could be heard. Your father looks at you and put his index finger on his lips as a sign to not make any noise.

They then close the closet and move far from the closet just in time for the hotel door to open.

There enter three people in black, one is a female with long wavy blonde hair at the right and at the left a male wearing a sunglasses with the person in the middle, a male with long silver blonde hair and eyes that are sharp like a knife and cold as an ice. The eyes of a person who have killed multiple people without feeling anything.

You stay in the closet not saying, moving, do anything to attract attention on you like what you promise to your parents. You instead look through the really small gap there's on the closet door.

You watch as the three people stand in front of your hiding places.

(F/N) : What are you guys doing here?

Your father said as he glares at them with your mother standing beside him also glaring at the three people in front of them. You see your mother slide her hand behind your father without the three noticing.

MIB 2 : I guess you do know why we are here? Stop the act!

The blonde said. But your father and your mother still persist on why they suddenly show up in front of them.

(M/N) : No, we don't. What have we done to get the honour of the three top member to come find us.

MIB 1 : Shut it! You guys are the threat to the organization. Especially you woman. How dare you sneak into our organization you pig. Huh, we already know that you secretly sending information of us to those damn government pigs. And you out of all, Ray (your father code name). You are one of the higher up of the organization and you dare betray us!!

Your father looks at them emotionlessly. The same goes with your mom. They knew that once the three of them being sent to them, that means, they've known everything about them.

MIB 2 : Now, now Vodka, let's not waste our time with them any longer. Let's just get to it before anyone come.

They then pull out a gun each which have been install with a silencer. Right as they took out their gun, your parents also take out their gun that have also been install with a silencer. You look at the guns wide eyes and move back and forth between your parents and the men and woman in black.

Out of a sudden the first shot been release by that guy name Vodka with your parents avoid and flipping the bed and use it as a shield. They then start shooting at the three people while avoiding the bullets by hiding behind the wall or in the bathroom near just right beside them.

You look at your parents hiding behind the bed wanting to go out to them, but at the moment you see your mother look at the closet and mouthing 'Please baby. Live for us. Please....'.

The one thought you have of wanting to go to them just wash away as you get the message and you cup your mouth to make sure there aren't any sound will come out.

You then see that the woman in black sneak out of her hiding place and creep closer to your parents hiding place from the veranda. Without your mother and your father realising anything, they've been shot on their hand which they held the gun.

Then the woman in black then shot them again on the left thigh for your father and on the right arm for your mother making them groan in pain as they held the place they've been shot.

The shooting then stops as the two men in black came close to your parents then pointed their gun to your parent's head.

MIB 3 : Now, now gentleman. Before you did your job, I heard that they have a really big fortune, but as for now, we can't track it down yet. So, Ray and Mellow (your mother code name), why don't you tell us about it, hmm....?

The woman asks. Your parents just glare at them with so much hatred that well of course doesn't shake them at all. They keep their mouth shut making the woman heave a sigh then walk to the door going out and before that telling the other two to finish them.

You look at them and know what will happen and you wanted to go to them, but you have promise. So, before they can pull the trigger, you shut your eyes, hiding your face inside your knees and shut your ears to prevent you from hearing anything.

You stay like that even when the men in black have gone. You didn't know how long you've been staying like that not until someone open the closet door and touch your shoulder the next morning.

You flinch and snap your eyes open to look at them with fear clearly in your eyes. You look at the person in front of you which is Yukiko with Yusaku behind her on the phone and Shinichi beside her. All of them look horrified with the room condition, your parents and mostly you.

Once you are sure that they're the Kudou's, your eyes get teary and the tears that you have been holding since last night came pouring out.

Yukiko take you in her arms with your face buried in her chest as you cried out your pain. Your cry was so heart-breaking that it makes all of the Kudou's feel it deep inside them.

Once the police came, Yusaku offer himself to help them with the investigation and decide to stay there for a few years while you, Yukiko and Shinichi went back to Japan.

After a few years, the investigation still nowhere close to solve making the police close the case.





Erena : So, that's what actually happen. I have guessed that your family already know about it since the bullet mark is all over the place and the condition of the room.... I have always thought that if I get out from the closet, could I save them? Could I help them? Will I also be with them no-....

Before you could finish your word, Conan cut you off by hugging you so tight as he buried his face in your neck. In other occasion, you would be flabbergasted, shock or shy, but now, you want it. You need the warm. You need this comforting hug. You need it.

You can feel warm liquid on your neck which you assume as tears from Conan as you feel his whole being trembling in your arms. You can't help but bursting out into tears too.

Conan : I'm sorry (Y/N). I-*choke* I'm sorry....

You smile in between your tears.

Erena : It's not your fault or anyone fault. Nor you, nor my parents, nor me.

You said trying to comfort him which you also wanted to comfort yourself.

Erena : They didn't chose to meet, they didn't chose to be together, they didn't chose to have me and they have never chose to fall in love. They know, them being together will someday come to that. They know. I KNOW.... They wrote it all down in a notebook they left for me in my room before we went to New Zealand. They have told me to live my life happily. Plus, I've got you and your parents helping me getting out of that darkness. The darkest day of my life and I will forever be in your debt. Please don't cry over it Shin. I have gone through it. And I don't want it to happen again to other families. So, let's do our best to take them down okay?

You said as you cup his face in your hands and wiping his tears with your thumbs then give a reassuring smile. He looks at you through his teary eyes and bring up his hands to also cup your face and wiping your tears with his thumbs. He then brings you back into his embrace.

Conan : I promise that one day we will bring them down together. Until that day come, let's both stay together throughout the whole journey.

You then snake your arms around him and the both of you stay like that for who knows how long that you guys didn't even realize that the both of you have fallen asleep in each other embrace.
