Conan : Where?! Where are they?! It hasn't been that long since that man took Yuuta-kun!! They should still be in this area!! Dammit. If we don't find him soon, Yuuta-kun's gonna....

All five of you were running around in the area near the kindergarten. When you guys were looking around the area on a small hill near a park, Ogawa notice something or rather someone at the park below them making him stop in his track. He then looks at the direction noticing a familiar kid.

Ogawa : Th-that's, YUUTA!! O-over there! In the middle of that park....

Ogawa said with a trembling voice while pointing at the kid in the middle of the park with someone behind him which they suspected as Ogino Tomoya's father. Yuuta was playing with a toy plane not realizing anything. Conan then notice something in the of Tomoya's father, Ogino, who is behind Yuuta. It was a knife.

Conan : Oh shit!!

Conan then notice a group of kids playing a soccer all behind them. A thought came across his mind as he quickly run to the small group while activating his power-enhancing shoes.

Conan : All right, I'll use these kick power-enhancing shoes that the professor gave me and....

Ogino then raise his knife in the air terrifying everyone the same time Conan jump ready to kick the soccer ball shocking the kids. Ogino then swing down the knife and Conan kick the soccer ball making the soccer ball goes so fast. Before the knife manage to touch even a single hair on Yuuta's, the ball Conan kick hit Ogino wrist making the knife get thrown out of his hold.

Ogino hold his wrist in pain as the knife fall beside him. The ball kick by Conan was so fast that the tree in the park get blown up making everyone look at it shock. Ran look at Conan suspiciously.

Kogorou : W-what was that?!

Ran : Was that, Conan-kun just now?!

You guys then run to the park where Yuuta is the same time Ogino take the knife back in his hold.

Ogawa : Yuuta!!

Yuuta : Ah, papa!

Ogino : Tch, DON'T MOVE!!

Ogino yell as he grabs Yuuta and hold the knife close to Yuuta, but out of Yuuta's view. This makes all of you to stop.

Kogorou : Ugrr....

Ogino : You know what'll happen if you move....

Ogawa : O-Ogino-san, that it was you....

Ogino : Heh. THAT'S RIGHT, IT WAS ME!! THE FATHER OF OGINO TOMOYA, WHO YOU KILLED BY MISTAKE DURING SURGERY!!

Ogawa : That was no mistake! By the time he arrived at the hospital, he was already....

Ogino : SHUT UP!! Heh, the only things I was left were his ashes and two and a half million yen in insurance payouts....

Kogorou : Then that money was from you....

Ogino : YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT! I GAVE THAT BUNGLING DOCTOR THE 2.5 MILLION YEN IN EXCHANGE FOR HIS SON SO, HE WOULD KNOW THE GRIEF OF LOSING ONE'S SON!! I SENT MY SON'S TOYS AND THE MORNING GLORIES THAT HE LIKED SO MUCH, ALONG WITH ALL MY BITTERNESS! And now, I will finish all of this.

Ogino shout out his grief. Ogawa fall on his knees and beg Ogino not to do what he wants to do.

Ogawa : PLEASE STOP, I BEG OF YOU! I'LL DO ANYTHING! JUST LEAVE MY SON ALONE!! THAT'S IT! KILL ME IN EXCHANGE! IF THAT WILL SATISFY YOU, SO BE IT! Just don't hurt my son....

Erena : STOP!!

You yell out, out of nowhere making everyone to look at you shock even Ogino as he looks at your small figure. You look up at Ogino with sadness in your eyes and tears brimming in the corner of your eyes. No, not pity.

Erena : Oji-san, just stop this.... You should know better what it feels like to lost your child. Your 'only' child. Please just look at Yuuta-kun.... Then look at the knife in your hand.... Are you really going to be a 'murderer' because of Tomoya-kun? Are you? do you think Tomoya-kun would like it if he sees you like this? Will he want to call you his father if he ever knows you're a murderer? Think about Tomoya-kun reaction if he sees you like this.... I believe Tomoya-kun wouldn'like it....

You said this as you grip on Kogorou pants. Kogorou look down at your grip as he feels it then look back at you with a just gentleness in your eyes and his expression soften with the crease between his eyes gone.

After a few second of utter silent, Yuuta who catch on of the word 'sent the toys', his face brightens up as he turns around and look up to Ogino happily with big smile on his face.

Yuuta : Ohhh, I get it. You were the one who sent me all the toys Oji-san! Thanks Oji-san! I'll treasure them always!

He thanks Ogino not realizing the actual things that happen around him. (Ahh, kid can be really clueless sometimes, but hey, that's their cute point right.) and for Ogino, as Yuuta thanked him, he can see that there's Tomoya in Yuuta.

Ogino : To-Tomoya....

Ogino then release the knife in his grip as he falls on his and his hand to the ground while crying and sobbing. Yuuta just look at him confuse.

Ogino : Tomoya....

Yuuta : Oji-san, are you crying? Why? Did papa say something mean?

Ogino : ...... No, little boy.... I'm the one who was mean.... I knew, ever since the beginning, that wasn't a surgical mistake. I knew.... Ugh....

Kogorou : then went to Ogino and pick the knife away from his reach as he order Ran to call the police.

Kogorou : Ran! Get the police quickly!

Ran : Y-yes.

You went up to Ogino and crouch down in front of him while Kogorou look at you worriedly, but don't stop you. you then take out a handkerchief and wipe the tears on Ogino's face as he looks at you surprised. On the other hand, Ogawa stop Ran from calling the police while Kogorou heave a sigh of relief knowing that Ogino wouldn't do anything to you.

Ogawa : Please, hold on detective-san! We don't need the police....

Kogorou : Eh? But he kidnapped your child....

Kogorou said as he stands up and look at Ogawa, not leaving your side even a second. Ogawa look at Ogino.

Ogawa : It's okay.... I do also understand his feelings. Even if I am a doctor, we are both fathers....

Ogawa thought as he goes to Ogino and offer his hand to help Ogino to stand. Ogino look at the hand offered by Ogawa then look at Ogawa and then take the hand Ogawa offered.



Ran : It's a good thing nothing horrible happened.

Ran said as the four of you are on your way back to the agency. You're on Kogorou's back since he said he wants to carry you like that and how can you refuse since you have seen him like a father figure too. Plus, it's a rare chance, you know.

Kogorou : Yeah. But why did he send the money and presents over a two-year period? He could just send it all at once.

Conan : It was obviously because he was waiting for Dr Ogawa's son to turn 5 years old, since his son, Tomoya-kun died when he was 5, three years ago.

Kogorou : Oh, I see.

Kogorou said after he realize that it was the case. Ran then talk making Conan to tense up and you look down at Conan's back.

Ran : Brilliant as ever....

Conan : A-ahahaha, but I'm just a kid. What do I know....? I remembered something I need to do! You guys go on ahead!

Conan claim as he run away from there to who knows where. Ran just look at him suspiciously while Kogorou look at him weird and you, you just look at Conan blankly.

Kogorou : What was that all about....?

Erena : He really is bad at lying. He never changes.... Oji-san, Ran-neechan, can I sleep at Agase house today. Pwetty pwease....

You said as you look at them with your puppy eyes. Ran look trouble at your request and so did Kogorou.

Ran : But don't you have school tomorrow, Erena-chan....

Erena : But I miss professor....

You claim as you look down sadly. Ran and Kogorou look at you when the both of them heave a sigh then nod their head.

Ran : Ok, Erena-chan. You can go sleep at professor house. I will bring your uniform to you early tomorrow morning, okay?

You look up with a huge smile on your face and nod at them both. In fact, you really did miss Agasa and have been planning to have a sleep over at Agasa's house on the weekend. But from what have happened today with Ran being suspicious of Conan which mean she is suspicious of you too, you need to do something.

The three of you then went to Agasa's house and after a few minutes, you reach there. Kogorou goes to the door and ring the doorbell as Ran call for Agasa.

Ran : Professor, are you home?

You guys wait for a few more minutes with Kogorou ring the doorbell a few more time when Agasa finally open the door. Looking at the panic in his eyes which is Ran and Kogorou didn't catch, you can guess that Conan is here.

Agasa : Oh, Mouri-san, Ran-kun, Erena-chan, what are you guys doing here? Do you need something?

Agasa ask as he opens the door wider inviting them in, but being refused by Kogorou. Kogorou then put you down and as soon as you were on the ground, you run to Agasa and hug his leg.

Kogorou : It's okay, Hiroshi-san. We're here because Erena-chan wants to have a sleepover here. If you don't mind....

Agasa : Oh, it's find. I don't mind it at all, since they actually should be under my care in the first place. Alas, but what can a single man like me do if I were to take care of both of them....

Agasa said as he rubs the back of his head shyly. Ran and Kogorou then nod and thanked Agasa before walking away back to the agency. After making sure that the two Mouri isn't in sight anymore, you and Agasa then enter the house as he closes the door. You then call out for Conan.

Erena : Shin! You can come out now. They're gone already.

You then see Conan on the second floor as he looks down at you with a bored expression.

Conan : Hey, what're you doing here (Y/N)?

Erena : Having a sleepover. But you need to get back tho. Ran will sure wait for you....

You said as you grin at him evilly.

Conan : Can't I have a sleepover too?

Erena : Well, genius, you didn't tell Ran or ask her permission. If you want then ask her first. She's your girl after all. Don't make her worried. Plus, they know that I am at Agase-chan house. You didn't tell them where you went. And, if you call Ran when you're not around her, she would definitely be sus of you.

You said as you point out everything. He looks at you before a heavy sigh escaped his mouth.

Conan : You're right. But then, how about you? We came at the same time we gone missing. So, she must have a suspicion on you too.

Erena : Don't worry about me. I have a plan already.

You said. Agasa and Conan just look at you suspiciously before he went to Agasa and give him his voice-changing bowtie the ask him to call Ran using his voice. You and Agasa then walk Conan to the door. Once you and Agasa back to the living room, you the turn to Agasa.

Erena : Professor, can you lend me your recorder?

Agasa : Yeah, sure. But why?

You take the recorder from professor Agasa and then sit on the couch, not saying anything to Agasa.



*RIIIINNNGGGGG*

Kogorou and Ran look at Kogorou's phone on his 'work' table. Kogorou pick it up to see your phone number and so he takes the call. (Btw, Conan isn't at the agency yet)

Kogorou : Ohh, (Y/N)-chan, how are you?

Y/N (E) : I am fine Oji-san. Works here is really tough tho, hahaha. By the way, how are you? I hope you're doing well? I heard from Erena-chan and Conan-kun that you solve, yet another cases. Is it true? Tell me how it went?

You said as Kogorou then start telling you the whole story about the cases earlier. As for Ran, he quietly goes somewhere a bit far from Kogorou and call Agasa. As Agasa pick up the call, she then asks Agasa if he can get Erena on the phone.

Ran : Hello, professor. Can I talk to Erena for a moment?

Agasa : Sure, wait a minute. Erena-chan, Ran-kun want to talk to you?

On the other hand, at professor house, you, who were standing beside Agasa all along pretend to get excited. Just right on the second floor in Agasa's room, a phone on call and a recorder was put down on a table and Kogorou's voice can be heard from the phone while the recorder is playing.

Erena : Ran-neechan, ohayo.

Ran : Uhm, o-ohayo Erena-chan....

Ran said as he looks at her father talking on the phone with '(Y/N)'.

Erena : Hm, what is it, Ran-neechan? I wanted to watch my favourite cartoon.

Ran : O-oh, gomen, Erena-chan. I just wanted to tell that I will bring your uniform and bag tomorrow....

Erena : Oh, is that so, Ran-neechan. Okay. Thank you, Ran-neechan. Bye.

You said as you give the phone back to Agasa while nodding at him as he nods back.

Agasa : Ah, sorry, Ran-kun. She's just too excited to watch her cartoon....

Ran : Oh no, it's okay professor. Then I will end the call now. Sorry for the inconvenient. Bye, professor.

Agasa : it's fine. Bye, Ran-kun.

As soon as Agasa put the phone back in its holder, the both of you the heave a sigh of relief.

Agasa : That's pretty brilliant, (Y/N)-chan.

Erena : Thanks, professor. But now I need to go talk to Oji-san.

You said. Agasa nod at you and you then jump through the flight of stairs and run into Agasa's room taking your phone back and talk to Kogorou. Back to Ran, after she put the phone, all of her suspicious on you just go away as she looks at Kogorou talking happily to you. Kogorou then stand up and walk to the door. Before he goes out, he turns to Ran.

Kogorou : I'm going out, drinking.

Ran : Okay, Otou-san.

Then (Y/N)'s voice can be heard from Kogorou's phone. And this time, it was you speaking not the recording.

Y/N (E) : Oji-san! You're going to drink?

Kogorou : Uh, (Y/N)-chan, just a bit.

Y/N : You sure, Oji-san?

Kogorou : Yes, 100% sure....

Y/N : ........ Okay, but promise me that you will only drink a bit.

Kogorou : Okay, I promise.

Kogorou said as he goes out of the office to his favourite store. Ran just look at the close door with a smile. After half an hour, Conan came back to the agency.

Conan : I'm hooomme! Huh? Where's Oji-san?

Conan ask as he open the door and didn't see Kogorou anywhere. Conan walk to where his books is and take one then sit on the couch reading it. Ran just look at him.

Ran : Otou-san's out drinking.... I bet you're hungry, aren't you? I'll make you something to eat right away!

Conan : Okay!

Ran : Ah, that's right. You know, I heard that gym teacher, Sashida-sensei is going to be married....

Conan : Ohh, that gorilla....?

Conan said not realizing that he talks a little too loud since he is so focus in his book. The sound of the door locking brought him back as he looks at Ran who stood at the door.

Ran : How do you know about a teacher at my school?

Conan : B-because you're always talking about him! Gorilla this, gorilla that....

Conan said in panic.

Ran : I thought something seemed funny! YOU REALLY ARE SHINICHI!!

Conan : Why, that's, that's....

Ran : GIVE IT UP ALREADY!! SHINICHI!!

Then suddenly, the office phone ring making them stop talking for a moment. Conan then points to the phone.

Conan : Th-the phone....

Ran : DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT!

Conan : But....

The phone keeps ringing making Ran feel annoyed as she then reluctantly walks to the phone while still keeping an eye on Conan.

Ran : Hello, this is the Mouri Detective Agen....

Shinichi (A) : Yo, Ran! Haven't talked to you in a while!

Ran : Shi-Shinichi?! No way. But Shinichi's....

Ran talk as she looks at Conan behind her.

Shinichi (A) : Hey hey, have you forgotten my voice already? How cruel.... I'll get you for this, Shinichi. This really is none of my business. Hey are you listening, Ran? Ran?

Ran : Ohh, I'm so silly! I was just mistaken for a second!

Conan : Thank you, professor....

Conan thought. Then (Y/N)'s voice can be heard from the phone.

Y/N (E) : Hey, Shin. Tune down a bit. I'm still on the phone with Oji-san!

Shinichi (A) : Gomen, (Y/N)-chan....

And so, the night just went like that with Ran brushing of and thrown her suspicion out the window.
