Me, Conan and Ran were walking through the pathway in the forest while Ran is looking at the map in her hand for a direction. We have been invited by Sonoko to spend our time there.

Ran : Huh? That's strange.... I'm sure the villa is supposed to be around here.

Conan : Then maybe, we're lost?

Conan said as me he looks at Ran as I copied him by looking at Ran too. Ran then flinch a bit before she masked it with a smile as she turns too look at me and Conan.

Ran : Of course not.... W-we're just taking a back road.

Ran said and I can hear a voice quiver a bit. We keep on walking, following what Ran said until we reach to the end of the forest seeing a tied-wooden bridge.

Ran : Ah! Look!

Ran exclaim happily as she pointed to the villa situated across the bridge. We then walk through the bridge to get to the villa. Me and Conan look around from the bridge. Ran then said that someone is right ahead of us making me and Conan to turn around and look at it too.

Ran : Oh, someone's walking ahead. I wonder if he's going to the villa too?

Conan : Yeah.... I think so....

Erena : I will keep my gloves with me all the time....

The mysterious man then notices us as he turns to our direction. But instead of seeing a friendly face, we were greeted with a glare from a bandaged man and I notice that he wears a big, worn out cloak with a worn-out tulip hat both in black color. It sends shiver down our spine. The bandaged man then run away from us to the villa and disappear.

Ran : I-I wonder if he's going to the villa too....?

Conan : M-maybe not?

Erena : U-urm....

We then continue our walk to the villa. Once we reach the front door, the door opens up as Sonoko came into our view.

Sonoko : You're late, Ran! What were you doing?

Ran : Sorry! Sorry, Sonoko....

Sonoko : I can't believe you'd show up late. When I invited you here and everything....

Sonoko nag at Ran. She then notices me and Conan beside Ran making she stop nagging at Ran and focus her attention on us.

Sonoko : Ohh, this must be little Conan-kun and Erena-chan from your house, Ran! Aww, they're so cute! But if these little things are around, we won't be able to go ahead with the passion!

Ran : Passion?

Sonoko : That's right! We came here to meet some cute guys!

Ran : What? Are you serious?

Sonoko : Hehehe.... We'll be surrounded by boys. It'll be so dreamy and romantic!

Sonoko said as she clasped both her hands in front of her with a dreamy look on her face. Me, Ran and Conan just look at her sweat dropping. Sonoko then lead us inside the villa, taking off the shoes before stepping in and wearing the slippers prepared. Once we are all inside, Ran look around not seeing anyone making her confused as she turn to Sonoko.

Ran : What, aren't they here yet? Those cute guys....

Sonoko : What are you talking about? My older sister's friends got here a long time ago. They're relaxing in their rooms! There's a fat one and a toothpick, but there's a really cool guy with them!

Ran : Ohhhh.... Ah, by the way, is there someone with their face wrapped in bandages here....?

Sonoko : Bandages....? No, there's no one injured here....

Ran : But we just saw.... I wonder if they live around here....?

Sonoko : Stop being weird and bring your stuff up there! Ran-kun, Conan-kun and Erena-chan, your rooms are on the 2nd floor!

Ran : Okay!

Sonoko says as she then run off to somewhere. The three of us then makes our way to the 2nd floor. Once we reach the 2nd floor, we look around to see a bunch of rooms there.

Ran : Hold on.... There's a bunch of rooms on the 2nd floor!! Where do you suppose our room is?

Ran said as she holds the knob of the room door near the stairs on the left. She then turns the knob and push the door open seeing a man is changing his clothes. Ran, in a state of flustered with a tint of red on her cheeks, quickly apologize and close the door.

She then proceeds on opening the door on the right only to once again be met with someone changing their clothes. But this time I can clearly sees the man figure unlike the first one since Ran is blocking me. I just brush it off though. Ran once again get flustered as she quickly apologizes and close the door. Ran then walk to another room in an attempt to open it, but this time I stop her.

Erena : Wait, Ran-neechan! Don't open it yet!

I said making Ran stop in her track and look at me questioningly, a light red tint can still be seen on her cheeks.

Erena : Why don't you knock first, Ran-neechan?

Ran look at me for a moment before a look of realization came to her. She then nods and release the knob. She balls her fist and then knock on the door.

???? : Yes!

Ran : Ah, no, sorry. Wrong room....

Me and Conan then heave a sigh as we follow Ran to the room, way back down the hallway. Ran then once again knock on the door and wait for a reply. After a while of nothing, she then opens the door not seeing anyone or any bags or stuff around the room.

Ran : Here it is! Here it is! This is it, Conan-kun, Erena-chan!

Ran said cheerfully as she looks at us while pointing to the room. Me and Conan just look at sweat dropping.

Conan : She could have at least knock before opening the door.... Luckily you stop her the 3rd time....

Conan said in whisper that only I can hear. I give a light chuckle as a response as we both then make our way to our room since Ran have already enter the room.



After we are done unpacking our stuffs, we were all now gathering in the middle of the living room/dining room, at the dining table with lots of foods on it, with all the other guests invited.

Ran : I see.... So, you were all in the same club!

Ran said as she heard from Sonoko's that everyone invited are all Sonoko's sister friends.

Sonoko : That's right! They were members of a film club when my sister was in college! This is the first time in 2 years these 5 close friends have gotten together!

Sonoko said. After that, she starts to introduce everyone in the room to us as she gestures to them.

Sonoko : So, from the right, the typical main character, Oota-san!

Oota : Yo!

Sonoko : Then to his side, is the cameraman and head of special effects, Sumiya-san!

Sumiya : Hiya!

Sonoko : And next to him is the handyman, Takahashi-san!

Takahashi : H-hello....

And before Sonoko could continue, Ran interrupted her as she apologizes to Sumiya-san and Takahashi-san while everyone in the room, except you and Conan, look at her quizzically.

Ran : I'm sorry about before, Sumiya-san, Takahashi-san.

Sumiya & Takahashi : No, no....

Sonoko : Huh, did something happen?

Ran : W-well....

Sonoko then just brush it off as she continued to introduce the other two people in the room.

Sonoko : Across the table is the head of makeup and costumes, and currently finding a brother-in-law for me, my sister!

Ayako : Hey now....

Sonoko : And the last is the director and writer, the head of the group, Ikeda Chikako-san!

Chikako : Nice to meet you....

Ran : Wow! Then, are you the Ikeda Chikako-san who wrote the 'Blue Kingdom' that's in the theatres now?

Ayako : That's right! It's a script she wrote in university and now it's turned into her big screen debut, right Chikako?

Chikako : Stop it, that's old news....

Oota : I keep hearing things about your next movie....

Sumiya : Ikeda-sensei, please says something for your fans!

Sumiya said as he point his recording camera towards Chikako-san's direction.

Chikako : I said stop....

Oota : Heh, you're still as obsessed with effects as always Sumiya.

Sumiya : Yup. I'll never stop doing this!! And you, Takahashi. Did you get even fatter?

Takahashi : Y-yeah.... I'm about 100 kg, I think....

Takahashi-san said as he rubs his big stomach. I however look at him questioningly with a slight glare. I don't know why, but he seems off and I think like I am forgetting something. But I don't remember what. While I was in my own little mind, I hear Oota-san making fun of Takahashi-san making everyone in the room including Takahashi-san to laugh along. All, except me and Conan of course.

Oota : You're a pig, a pig!

Ayako : Hahaha, being together like this really brings back the memories from university. And Atsuko too.... If that hadn't happened to Atsuko, she'd be here too....

Ayako-san said making the lively atmosphere in the room to suddenly drop. Me, Ran and Conan just look at Ayako-san confusedly.

Ran & Conan : Atsuko....?

Suddenly, Chikako-san slam her hand on the table making a loud noise startling me making me move closer to Conan unconsciously as she stood up abruptly. I gaze into her eyes seeing a flash of fear, anxiousness and guilt.

Chikako : Stop talking about Atsuko!!!

Ayako : Chikako....

Chikako-san then took a deep breath calming herself before she sits back down in her seat.

Chikako : We came here to relax during a busy time! Don't start talking about someone who died 2 years ago!

Ayako : I'm sorry....

Oota : Hmm, you talk differently now that you're a celebrity.

Chikako : W-what?!

Ayako : Please, you two.... I'm just going to go make dinner, so please take it easy everyone.

Ayako-san said as she tried to calm down the tense atmosphere in the room.

Takahashi : I think, I'll take a look at the repairing the roof. The weather forecast said it would be raining tonight.

Ayako : Oh, thank you so much, Takahashi-kun! Be careful!

Takahashi : Yeah!

Takahashi-san then walk out of the house

Erena : Can I come and help in the kitchen too, Ayako-neechan?

I said from my seat while looking at her pleadingly. I swear that I can see everyone face turning red as they look away from me with some covering their mouth while some covering their eyes as their shoulder shakes a bit. Sonoko's voice then suddenly erupted in the whole room.

Sonoko : Kyaaa!! Kawaii! Erena-chan, be my little sister!!

Sonoko said as she picks me up in her arms and squishing my cheek with her. I just let out a laugh, a genuine laugh because it feels ticklish and it also remind me of the happy memories I have with my parents, since they love to do the same things to me way back. I have learned to live my life for the sake of me and especially my parents since I know that they wouldn't want to see me sad.

Sumiya : *Cough* Uhm, since Takahashi have offer to do the work, let's just leave it to him, seeing as he was a handyman and all. So why don't the rest of us play some cards.

Sumiya-san then offered making all eyes to look at him and for Sonoko to stop squishing me. Sonoko then reply with me still in her arms.

Sonoko : Yeah, let's play!

Chikako-san then suddenly stood up and turn around and walking to the front door. Sumiya-san turn to look at her and then follow her.

Sumiya : Hey, where are you going, Chikako?

Chikako : On a walk!

She said and walk out of the villa with Sumiya-san following her. After some time, it started to rain lightly, but in just a few seconds in rain buckets and Sonoko putting me down. Me, Ran and Conan look out the window to the splattering of the rain drops.

Ran : Aww, it's raining after all.... So much for going outside....

Sonoko : Hey, Ran. Don't you think he's cute?

Sonoko came up behind the three of us to Ran. She then points to Oota-san who is at another window, looking out while smoking.

Ran : Eh? You mean Oota-san?

Sonoko : Yeah, he's so cool and calm. He's so my type!

Ran : Really?

Sonoko : Oh yeah! What about Shinichi-kun, Ran?

Ran : Eh?

Sonoko : It's too bad he couldn't come too!

Ran : Says who?! If he was here, I'd kick his butt!

Ran says as a tint of red painted her cheeks at Sonoko's teasing. I look down with a sad smile before turning around and go to the kitchen to help Ayako-san making dinner.

Upon entering the kitchen, I see Ayako-san cooking stirring the food at the stove with an apron around her waist. I then walk up to her and tuck on her pants gently since she doesn't seem like she notices me there. Feeling the tuck on her pants, she looks down to see me.

Ayako : Oh, Erena-chan! Are you here to help me?

She said as she lowers the heat of the stove and crouch down to my height. I just nod at her and she smile. She then stood back up and walk to a corner then opening the cupboard near the stove taking out a cute lacy apron that is smaller and just to my size. She then helps me wear the apron and after that, I help her with the cooking.



Me and Ayako-san have done preparing the dinner and wanted to plate them when we hear a rush step inside the house. I run out of the kitchen to the gathering room just now seeing Sonoko and Ran looking panic while Conan is looking serious.

Sonoko : W-WE SAW A BANDAGED MAN!!

Ayako : A-a bandaged man?!

Sonoko : THAT'S RIGHT! RAN WAS ATTACKED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FOREST!

Sonoko said panic and fear lacing in her voice.

Oota : Are you serious?

Sonoko : You mean, you guys didn't see him? You three were in the forest too, right?

Oota : Nope, not at all. I went searching for Ran-chan when she got scared by the lightning and ran into the woods. I didn't have time to look for anyone like that.

Sumiya : We didn't see him either, right Chikako?

Chikako : We? I wasn't walking with you. you were simply following me, correct? And then you just vanished.

Sumiya : I went to get an umbrella because of the rain....

Chikako : Hmm. You mean you didn't run away because you were scared of the lightning?

Sumiya : CHIKAKO!!

Chikako : What?

Before things escalated to worse, Ayako-san went up to the two and gently hold Sumiya-san's arm, trying to calm him.

Ayako : There, there....

Oota : Hmm, you think they're finally through?

Ran & Conan : Eh?

Sonoko : Hey, didn't you see him? I thought he ran in the direction of the house, but....

Ayako : No. I was preparing the supper with Erena-chan. Did you see him, Takahashi-kun?

Takahashi : No, I was up top, fixing the roof the entire time. But I don't think he came here.... However, speaking of weird people, I saw one at the rope bridge when I arrived. I couldn't see his face, but he was really creepy. He was wearing a black cloak and a tulip hat.

Ran : That's him! The one on the rope bridge was the one who attacked me!! Right, Conan-kun, Erena-chan!!

Conan : Yeah! When we came here, we saw him on the bridge too!!

Oota : I also saw a guy with a black cape when I arrived....

Sumiya : M-me too. But I didn't see his face.... Yet I thought surely it must be someone who lives around here....

Ayako : That can't be.... There are two or three houses way far on the other side of the bridge. But on this side, you'd have to cross the mountain....

Oota : Then who the hell is that guy?

Sumiya : We better call the police right away!!

Ayako : Good idea!

Ayako-san said as she run to the telephone in the house. I walk to Conan wanting to ask him of what happen just now. But before I could open my mouth, he talks first.

Conan : That's a nice apron you wear.

Conan said with a smirk on his face. I look at him confuse then look down to myself seeing that the apron I use back in the kitchen is still tightly wrap around my waist. I then feel my cheeks getting warm.

Erena : I-I wear it b-because I-I'm helping Ayako-san just now!!

I said stuttering and let's just say it just got worse as I see his smirk turn into a big grin.

Conan : Well, you look cute in it. I wish to see you in such a cute apron more often in the future, ne (Y/N)....

He said as he whispers my name at my ear making my face getting hotter. I bet that my face is looking like a freaking tomato right now which how red it is. I then hear a snicker from behind us making me turn to look at the source and I guess Conan heard it too as he did the same. We then see Sonoko snickering at us as she linked arm with a smiling Ran as they look down at us a bit away from our place.

This makes me even more embarrassed as Sonoko keep on whispering to Ran which she didn't do well since me and Conan can hear her. She keeps on whispering 'How cute we look together!' or 'They would make a really cute couple!' to Ran who is just listening as she just smile warmly while looking at us. It doesn't help sooth me from my embarrassed state at all as I turn to Conan to see that his cheeks are painted in red too.

Suddenly, Ayako-san's voice can be heard throughout the room taking me out of my embarrassed state. We all then turn to her.

Oota : What! The phones are down?!

Ayako : Yes. They were working around lunch time.... I wonder if the power lines got hit by that lightning?

Takahashi : It's him.... The man in the bandages cut them.... He did it, he did it.... Uwaaa!!

Takahashi-san said terrified as he turns around and run out of the villa.

Sumiya : H-hey, Takahashi!!!

We then follow Takahashi-san out of the villa seeing him run straight to the bridge connecting this mountain to the other one which we came from.

Sumiya : Just hold on!!

We then see Takahashi-san stop in his track as he looks straight ahead in fear. We run up beside him and were shocked to see the scene in front of us. The bridge has fallen cutting off the way to the other side.

The others look at bridge feeling scared, anxious and terrified while me and Conan observe the post use to tied the rope bridge. We see that there's a lot of marks indicating that someone purposely cut the rope of the bridge.

Conan : Someone cut them alright....

Sumiya : Eh?

Conan : Look here! The posts where the ropes for the bridge were connected....

Conan said as he points to the posts that is torn up. Oota walk up to it in order to examine it more clearly.

Oota : The posts? What the hell? It's all torn up....

Sumiya : I see.... Someone must have cut it with a blade....

Ayako : B-but.... Who would do such a thing....?

Takahashi : It was him.... He did this too....

Chikako : WHAT THE HELL IS THIS BANDAGED MAN CRAP!! THAT'S RIDICULOUS!! The girl was attacked in the forest, the phone lines were cut and the bridge was dropped, all to frighten us! This person's just getting a kick out of seeing us scared! Us jumping around in fright is just what he wants to see!!

Chikako-san said as she turns and walk back to the villa. Everyone turns to look at the retreating back of Chikako-san.

Ayako : C-Chikako....

After a while everyone then start walking back to the villa seeing that the rain isn't stopping yet and it's getting darker as the time goes by. Once inside, everyone went to their room to get change since everyone have been staying in the rain and is soaking wet from head to toe.

I see Ayako-san following Chikako-san to her room on the 3rd floor while me, Ran and Conan walk to our room in the 2nd floor. I let Ran and Conan change first before I myself change. After getting change, I walk out of the room to downstairs, wanting to help Ayako-san serving the food.



The food is all serve now with the help of Ran, Sonoko and Conan. Me and Ayako-san needs to reheat the food since they've gotten cold.

Ayako : I'm sorry for making you help, Ran-chan....

Ran : Oh no. I do it all the time at home.

Ayako : I can't believe it....What a reunion.... Everyone's so tense and uptight....

Sonoko : You starting it by bringing that story up!

Conan : You mean, about Atsuko? You said something happened 2 years ago....

Ran : Hold on, Conan-kun!

Ran tried to stop Conan from asking further seeing that it is a sensitive topic among them. However, it was already too late since he has asked the question.

Ayako : Atsuko committed suicide 2 years ago.... She was a member of the film club too, but then we found her hung from the neck in HQ. and then, everyone moved apart and we had been getting along so nicely too.... This time I called everyone to get together because it's been such a long time. So, please don't ask about it anymore, Conan-kun....

Ayako-san said as she pat Conan on his head lightly. Conan lowly reply to her.

Conan : Sure....

Oota : Whoa, check it out!

Sumiya : This look great!!

Oota-san and Sumiya-san excited voices can be heard from the dining table which is fill with food making everyone head to turn towards them.

Ayako : Ah, Erena-chan make that one! She is so good in cooking and I have tried it out a bit. It was so good!

Ayako-san said as she compliments me as I feel myself blushing and everyone eyes to look at me.

Sumiya : Whoa, really?!

Sumiya-san ask. He then takes a piece of the food I make and eat it. As soon as the food are in his mouth, a delightful hum can be heard from him. Seeing that Sumiya-san is enjoying the food I make, Oota-san did the same by taking a bit of the food and put it in his mouth. Not long after, he too hum in delight.

Ayako-san need to stop them from taking bit and bit of the food seeing that they wanted to take another bite of the food. Sumiya-san then look around the room before turning to look at Ayako-san.

Sumiya : Where's Chikako?

Ayako : She said she was tired and going to bed.... Takahashi-kun!! Dinner's ready!

Ayako-san call out to Takahashi-san, who is at the veranda.

Takahashi : Ah, okay....

Ayako : Well? Is the roof fixed?

Takahashi : Pretty much....

Sumiya : Now smile you two!!

Sumiya-san said to Ran and Sonoko as they smile to the camera in Sumiya-san's hand. Everyone then gets seated around the table only waiting for Takahashi-san to come and join the dinner.

Oota : Get down here, Takahashi!! The food's getting cold!

Takahashi : Ok....

We were waiting for Takahashi-san to come join us when we hear Takahashi-san shouting.

Takahashi : WHO-WHO ARE YOU?!

Oota : Hm, What's up?

Takahashi : There's someone down there!! Beside the window....

Oota : Eh?

Sumiya : Beside the window....?

We then turn to look at window with Sumiya-san point his camera to the window too. After a few second, the figure of the bandaged man run past through the window with Chikako-san in his arms shocking everyone in the room.

Oota : The guy in the bandages?!

Ayako : Wasn't that Chikako he was carrying?

Sumiya : Chi-CHIKAKO!!

Sumiya-san run to the window and open it as he looks out towards the direction the bandages man ran to. Oota-san come up beside him and look out the window too.

Oota : Damn, it's too dark and rainy to see which way he went.... This is really bad....

Sumiya : Chikako....

I then see Conan jump up the window and out which I didn't waste any time and quickly follow him before anyone could stop either of us.

Oota : Huh?

Ran : CONAN-KUN! ERENA-CHAN!!

We keep on running into the woods as Conan keep on flashing the flashlight everywhere. After a while, I can hear the sounds of rushing footsteps behind us and extra lights flashing around the forest.

Takahashi : Wait up for me-....

Oota : Damn slowpoke!

We keep on running until me and Conan sees something in the grass making us stop and flash our lights towards it. Once we can see clearly of the object, we were terrified to see a bloody leg laying there.

Conan : IT'S-IT'S A LEG!!!

Oota : Could this be.... Chikako's?

Takahashi : UGYAAA.... There's a.... A hand....

Oota : ALRIGHT! SPLIT UP AND SEARCH!

Conan : No, we can't separate! It's too dangerous if we don't stick together!

Oota : SHUT UP, KID!

Oota-san yell angrily which make me annoyed.

Erena : Like seriously! Is he stupid?! There's a possible danger around us and he suggest we split up!!

Me and Conan just ignore him as we then look around together and I wear my gloves for a just in case anything happens. As we were searching around, we then hear Sumiya-san's voice making all of us to run to him.

Sumiya : CHI-CHIKAKO?! HEY GET UP!! Chika....

He picks up Chikako from the head and the back. He calls out to her a few times before it just stuck in his throat as Chikako's head fall to the ground apart from the body. Everyone looks at it terrified.

Sumiya : UWAAAAAA!!!!!



We were all now back at the villa with Ayako-san handing out a towel each to be use to dry themselves of the rain. Sumiya-san then explain what have happen to Ayako-san, Sonoko and Ran.

Ayako : EH?! CHIKAKO?!

Sumiya : Yes. She was murdered.... She was in pieces all over the forest....

Ayako : It can't be....

Sumiya : I covered up the body with my jacket, in the forest....

Ran : How-how could something like that happen....

Ayako : T-this is all my fault, everyone.... I was.... The one who set this get together.... I-I....

Ayako-san exclaim as she started to cry. Sumiya-san went up to her and put his hand on Ayako-san comfortingly.

Sumiya : No, Ayako. It's not your fault.... The blame is all placed on that bandaged man. The one who carried Chicako away right before our eyes. THAT MURDERING DEVIL!

Everyone was silent until Sonoko broke the tenses atmosphere by asking.

Sonoko : W-what should we do.... If he comes back....

Oota : Heh, all we gotta do is lock the doors and we'll be fine. Chikako was in great danger, loitering around outside like that. Anyway, Let's forget about this and get some sleep.

Sumiya : Oota, you....

Ayako : Yes, it's late.... Let's all check one more time to make sure the doors are all locked and get some rest. In the morning we will go down the mountain and call the police...

Sumiya : Yeah....

All of us then walk around the house in pair checking and locking all the possible entrance the bandaged man could use to get in. Me, Conan, Ran and Sonoko are in the same group as we make our way to the front door to checked if the door is locked or not.

Sonoko : The front door is okay!

Ran : Then there's just our room....

The both of them then turn around to walk upstairs but then notice Conan lurking around at the shoes rack.

Ran : What's wrong, Conan-kun?

Conan : They aren't here. Chikako-san's slippers....

Ran : Slippers....?

Conan : If Chikako-san left from the front door, her slippers would be here, right? Maybe she didn't leave from here....

Ran : W-what do you mean?

Sonoko : Oh.... Oh no. That man got into the house from the 2nd floor, where Chikako-san was sleeping....

Ran : That's impossible, Sonoko.... Listen, after Conan-kun, Erena-chan and the others chased after the guy, you and your sister and I split up and checked all the openings in the house, remember. I went into Chikako-san's room, but there was no damage and the window were locked from the inside.

Sonoko : But....

Ran : I think Chikako-san definitely left the villa on her own....

Conan : Because, when we found her body in the woods, she had shoes on, even though her leg was severed....

Ran : Oh-oh, is that so....

Ran said as she and Sonoko shiver hearing it. I just look at them amusingly before silently chuckle. They aren't use of seeing a murder or hearing someone talking about it so casually, except for Shinichi and sometimes you.

Conan : So, are there any other exits from this house?

Sonoko : Yes, there's a backdoor....

Conan : Backdoor....?

We then walk to the backdoor, following Sonoko as she led the way. Once we got to the backdoor, we see that Chikako-san's slippers is indeed there.

Sonoko : There they are, slippers! These are definitely Chikako-san's slippers. No one else are taken out....

Ran : So, Chikako-san left from this door.

Conan : Yes, probably....

Erena : But why did she specifically leave here, instead of the front entrance? As if she was trying to avoid being seen.... And that Takahashi-san.... There is something that is not right with him! Think (Y/N), think!

I was so lost in thought that I didn't notice everyone heading back inside and to our respective room. I only come out of my trance when Conan lightly put his hand on y shoulder making me snap up to him and then seeing everyone looking at me. I then just laugh awkwardly before following them.



Me, Ran and Conan are now in our room and have already change into our pyjamas. Ran is locking the window while me and Conan were both so lost in thought. That is until Ran's voice come ringing into our head making us turn to her.

Ran : There we go! Now our room is safe too, Conan-kun! You don't have to worry! If that man comes and attacks again, I'll beat him up for you!

Erena : Oh yeah, why would that person attack you?

Ran : I dunno.... I don't think it matters to him....

Conan : So, nobody has a grudge against you?

Ran : Eh?

Conan : Like someone whose face you messed up from your karate....

Ran : OF COURSE NOT!! Geez, come on, just go to sleep!

Erena & Conan : Yes....

Me and Conan then went up on our share bed, again, while Ran sleep on the other bed just right beside us. I can't sleep since I keep on thinking of the missing piece about Takahashi-san and the bandaged man. There's something suspicious about the bandaged man that I can't figure out.

Ran : Can I sleep with you?

I heard Ran voice from beside me. I turn my head to her seeing her standing beside mine and Conan's bed with a pillow in front of her in her hands. I then sit up and look at her questioningly. I can feel movement from Conan beside me which I guess he did the same as me.

Conan : W-why?

Ran : Oh, don't worry, don't worry....

Ran said as she gets in the blanket and lay beside me as I move a bit to make a space for her making me move closer to Conan. Since I am too close to Conan, his hands come up to my side unconsciously hugging me as he peeks from behind my shoulder to look at the lay down Ran.

Conan : Are you scared?

Conan taunt while Ran just act oblivious to it.

Ran : oh, don't worry, don't worry.... Good night Conan-kun, Erena-chan.

Ran said before she closes her eyes to sleep. In just a matter of seconds, we can see Ran breathing getting calmer and hearing her snoozing lightly. Me and Conan just look at her dumbfounded and started to talk in whisper.

Erena : This girl....

Conan : Sheesh women....

Erena : Ehem!

Conan : Ah! Ahhaha, gomen....

I just nod at him as we then lay down on the bed. However, he never did release his hold on me that is now change to around my waist. It really does make my face feels warm but he literally did it all the time as we grew up together. So, I am slowly getting used to it. I then start to talk again after a moment of silence.

Erena : Anyway, there must be a reason why that bandaged man attacked Ran. Maybe Ran have seen something that she shouldn't....

Conan : I am not sure myself.... You might be right tho....

We keep on trying to figure out what is going on when we see a shadow suddenly loom on us. Me and Conan turn our head to the source of the shadow only to be shocked as we see the said bandaged man standing beside our bed with his axe up ready to cut.

I got out of Conan embrace and kick Ran to the side making the coming axe miss the sleeping Ran. Seeing that Ran is safe, I turn to look at the bandaged man to see him looking at Ran making me panic.

Conan : WAKE UP, RAN!!! RAN!! SHIT!!

Before he could attack Ran again, I leap o the bandaged man and hug his waist distracting him from attacking Ran as he tried to shake me off of him. He then picks me and throw me away making me collide with the wall behind me hard and my leg to hit the bed post, spraining my ankle. I grab my sprain leg in pain.

Erena : Crap! I sprained my ankle!

Man (C) : WAAKEE UPPP!!!

I hear a loud yell from beside me seeing Conan yelling into the bowtie that he have turn the volume too high successfully waking Ran up. I see Ran groggily stood up from her sleep and look up the shocked bandaged man. Her eyes then widen before she let out a really terrified loud scream which I am sure everyone in the villa could hear her.

Ran : KYYYAAAAAAA!!!!

After just a few seconds, the door of our room open revealing Sonoko who walk in still a bit daze.

Sonoko : What is it, Ran....?

Seeing that someone else have come, the bandaged man then run out of the window and just disappear with the darkness of the night.

Erena : Ah, hold on....

I tried to chase it only to be shocked with the stinging pain that come from my sprained leg. I fall back on the bed and hold my sprain leg as a whimpered come out of my mouth.

Conan : ERENA!!

Conan then come rushing to my side as he takes a look my sprained leg seeing that it has swollen a bit.

Conan : RAN-NEECHAN!! ERENA HAVE SPRAINED HER ANKLE!

Conan shout to the still mortified Ran snapping her out of it as she then looks at Conan then at the whimpering and sweating me beside him. Ran then quickly get the stuff needed with the help from Sonoko to treat my injury.

As Ran is treating my injury, the others have come to our room to see what's the ruckus is all about. Ran then tell them what happen as her hands never stopped bandaging my twisted ankle.

Sumiya : YOU WERE ATTACKED AGAIN?!

Takahashi : Was it the bandaged man?

Ran : Yes....

Sumiya : But you locked it, didn't you? How did he get in?

Conan : He cut the window glass. Can you see the opened circle there?

Conan said as he pointed to the corner of the window near the lock to see a small circle the size of a hand is. Sumiya-san and Oota-san then walk to the window and out to the veranda that is connected to one another room making it's a big veranda then stand at the railing.

Oota : But, on the 2nd floor? How'd he gets up here?

Sumiya : There! He climbed up that tree over there and jumped onto the veranda.

Oota : The guy's unbelievably....

Sumiya-san and Oota-san then come back inside our room and close the window just right after Ran finished bandaging my ankle.

Sumiya : WELL THEN! HE IS DEFINITELY COMING AFTER US!! IT'S TOO DANGEROUS TO SPLIT UP!! EVERYONE GO TO THE DINING ROOM AND WE'LL WAIT FOR THE MORNING!

Oota : y-yeah, good idea.

Everyone then walk out of our room and to their respective room, coming out right after with their jacket in hand.

Oota : Hurry, everyone!

Me, Ran and Conan get change before going downstairs to the dining room. Conan helping me walk as he slink his arm around my waist and I put an arm around his shoulder for support. He then scolds me in whisper as to avoid anyone listening.

Conan : Geez, (Y/N)! You need to go and injured yourself like that!

Erena : I'm sorry.... But, Ran is in danger! I can't just stay there and do nothing. Plus, you would be depressed if anything would happen to Ran....

Conan : That's what you think, (Y/N). But do you have any idea how worried and terrified I will be if anything should happen to you!

Erena : It's not like I am more important than Ran tho....

I said lowly as to not let Conan hear me, but boy am I wrong.

Conan : Yes, you are, (Y/N).... You are way more important and precious to me....

Conan said as we stop in our track and I look at him to see him looking at me softly. I gaze into his eyes to see lots of emotion swirling around his orbs. It makes my heart warm and so is my face. I then turn my head away from him knowing that my face is red now. It just make my face blush more as I hear him chuckle.

We then continue walking, with me still blushing. As we were walking, me and Conan notice something an Ayako-san's dress pocket who was walking in front of us. It seems like it was Chikako-san's choker. Conan then ask Ayako-san about it making Ayako-san to stop in her track and to turn around looking at us.

Conan : That's.... What Chikako-san had around her neck....

Ayako : Oh, yes, this is Chikako's choker. Right after you and the others went following the bandaged man, I saw it lying in the entrance hall.

Erena & Conan : Huh?

Erena : Hold on a minute! I remember, when he had Chikako, around her neck, she was wearing.... A choker!! What does this mean? After that, he disappeared into the forest with Chikako-san. So, this should have falling in the forest.... So why was it in the entrance hall....? Does that mean.... The bandaged man is actually....?
