Melvin scratches his head. "What's up with Shekki?" He asks and then pays respect to his Master and bows.

"Master promises to help her to advance." Lan said.

"Eh?" Melvin is already seated. He is about to eat a tea cake then stop.

"What's wrong?" Gander asks.

Melvin scratches his head.

"She's been pouting at me for a week now telling me how much she wants to advance but failed so I am thinking of exchanging some points to buy her a pill. It is good that the Master will give her a better one." Melvin smiles.

Gander stares at Melvin. "You haven't advanced yourself."

Melvin smiles. "Master… I am already a Sky Rank 3rd mid level. You also said it'll take time to advance from here now."

Gander raised a brow. "I didn't say stop trying."

Melvin panics and nods. "I will,Master. Don't worry I am not neglecting my cultivation."

Lan eats another tea cake. This time there's a strawberry jam inside.

His mouth is filled with the flavor.

"She is working hard." He said.

Gander and Melvin stare at Lan in amazement. How hard it was to have Lan praise you? Working hard is something Lan does naturally so he always thinks that people doing it are just normal.

"You like the lad huh." Gander chuckles.

Lan flinched then he stared at Gander. "Master likes her more."

Gander smiles. "I am not denying that. I like all my disciples."

In here, he only means his core disciples. Core disciples are the only one who can directly get lessons from the headmaster. So the headmaster really thinks of them as their real only disciples.

Melvin laughs. "Shekki is a good girl. It's amazing how that fiancee even thinks of annulling their engagement. It's sad but Shekki is better off with that kind of man." Melvin crosses his arms and shakes his head.

The two look at him. "She did mention something like a fiance. And being a loose woman." Lan said. He is eating back then so he barely paid attention.

Melvin sighs. "Actually, she doesn't want to talk about it but I forced her. I felt bad after I forced her to talk about it. She said she is okay now but that is not something you can just say 'it's nothing'." Melvin shakes his head.

"Didn't she say she is invited to join that guy back home? If it's unpleasant isn't it better not to come home with such a guy?" Gander frowns.

Melvin smiles. "She said she wants to pissed her younger sister. It seems she is the jealous type. Whatever Shekki has, she wants it. If Shekki shows up with that guy, she thinks she might die in jealousy. That girl is also amazing in her own way." Melvin laughs. Melvin is an upright guy. So he hates scheming and deceiving. But he is not disgusted when Shekki tells him her reason. Maybe because they are close. Or maybe because he thinks that Shekki is a good girl. But for him, he thinks that she is still being lenient.

Though he is a good guy, he is not a saint. He will retaliate if he is hurt.

Shekki is still a charming girl for him. She always smiles and tells him that he is handsome without missing a day. This cuteness, he really wants to protect it.

Melvin flinched.

"What's wrong?" Lan asks.

Melvin shakes his head. "Nothing."

He sighs and looks away. "Oh? That smells nice." He said talking about the nice smell coming from the clothes floating in the air fluttering.
