There's fashionably late and there's rude late.

Shekki and Angeline both knows that. So they both have maids telling them if the carriage of the prince is arriving from a far so they can appear before he arrives. Knowing the crown prince will come. Lots of the guests arrive early for the exact reason. The prince is the highest guest of honor arriving after him is just asking to be targeted by the higher up. Though Shekki's world will mostly revolve in the Cultivation world, it doesn't mean she will let her mortal family in a disadvantage.

Braddy arrives with his 2 cousin. A girl of the same age and a male who is younger by 2 years. They are the next most important people. The Count's son, Braddy. They are neighbors territory so having a good relationship with them is a must.

This is what Angeline and Shekki's waiting for.

They both decided that it is time to shine.

Angeline is beautiful. Her face is lovely and cute. You can tell her good upbringing with the way she moves which Shekki envies a lot.

A lot of young men sneak a peek at her as she walks straight to Braddy. Her eyes only has one man in it. Even if you are not the man in her eyes you can feel hee unwavering feelings.

Braddy, of course, feel slightly move. With her devotion to him and trust they build over years. He felt that she is not going to do anything to harm him Yet he needs her to clarify the truth. Being in love and being a play thing are two different things. He hates a woman with calculative mind. And any woman like that....will never be wholly love other people except themselves.

He needs to know.

Shekki takes a deep breath. And then she walks.

Slowly, trying yo imitate Angeline. No, she can't do it. So she decided to just walk slower than usual.

'Chest out, stomach in. Chest out, stomach in. Straight body.' She keeps chanting in her head.

Lots of men that staring at Angeline slowly moves their eyes to see the bright smile in Shekki's face.

Braddy looks up and see Shekki walking to their direction.

Angeline angrily clenched her fist but didn't show it to her face. Shekki's smile widen as she saw the stiffness in Angeline's face.

"Brother Braddy, I want to talk---"

"Brother Braddy, Brother Quiran, Sister Patricia, Welcome." Shekki smiles and bows politely.

Braddy nods. "I will talk later." He said to Angeline. "For now let us greet the celebrant." He said and nods at his two cousin.

They both smiles at Shekki but ignores Angeline as she ignores them too.

Angeline face paled.

Shekki was obviously ignore by Braddy aside from that barely acknowledge nod but Shekki is not mad. Braddy is a half decent man, since he proclaims that he loves Angeline, he will gives her face. If he does talk to her and ignore Angeline he will look unfeeling and a unloyal. Shekki happily greets other people and leave the angry Angeline who didn't move and only bow her head in the floor.

"Welcome! Welcome!" Shekki happily smiles at everyone. She already forget that she is trying to act like a refined noble woman from her happiness in ruining Angeline's greeting. She is so happy that she didn't notice the man in front of him.

"Welcome handsome young man!"

"How rude are you! This is his royal crown prince!"

Shekki smile disappear. She is about to kneel and kowtow but the man ignores her. "Don't make a scene. We are here to celebrate a fortunate event and not blame people." The crown prince said and walks away.

Shekki shudders and hugs herself.

"Is this Karma? But~~ It's just a petty act~~ Why blame me so easily?" Shekki pouts looking at the sky.
