"The place where all the dead comes together and waited for their next destination, this is the afterlife Realm." Lin said and he slowly put the blackened mana stone in his empty space sack. Shekki sits down and look around.
'So rich.' And not only rich, the resources that needed to come across the purest mana stone in the market can't even be paid with money.
She was jealous how rich he was but thinking that this sc*mbag is actually doing this for his dead father made her feel slightly impressed.
But what's the purpose of taking care of the dead's body?
She knows that cultivators has the chance to reincarnate. Why would you need to preserve the vessel?
"Ah vessel? Don't tell me he can revive?" Shekki stood up.
Lin didn't look at her. He pour a bag of purest mana stone to the place where the dark mana stone is located.
"Yes. Father is still fighting in the afterrealm. That is the reason why his body remain intact. Even with mana stone, if his soul is no longer fighting then it will still perished." Lin stares at Shekki. "Even the dead is fighting."
Shekki looks confused. "Fight for what? Cultivators will reincarnate anyways?"
Lin sighs. "It's nothing. Pretend I said nothing."
Shekki blushes. "Sorry Senior. I am dumb and stupid so will you teach me what you know?" Shekki respectfully bow with both hands clasp together.
"Hm..." Lin snorts. "There are three Realm for the living. The lower Realm where we are, the middle realm which holds 80 more percent of mana and spirit compare to Lower Realm and the last is the highest realm or the Havana is the last destination of every cultivators where it says that is over flowing with mana and just breathing the highest realm air can make one advance in cultivation."
"So exaggerated?"
"It seems only those that reach certain cultivation can stay in the highest Realm. So to them, the abudance of mana in highest realm seems insignificant to the residence yet to us it feels like it is a place only the chosen one can enter." Lin smiles bitterly. "And then...there is Afterlife Realm. A realm only those who died will enter. There they can choose whether they can be reincarnated or transmigrated. But once it happened nothing in afterlife realm will be remembered."
Shekki frowns. "How would you know this if nobody will remember?"
"There are people who returned from afterlife realm. Those who returned to their same body after they died will remember the general idea but not the experience. It was only describe as hard and hellish."
Shekki looks at the man in the middle. He look no different from a sleeping person.
"So you believe that he is still fighting? And so you wanted to preserve his body?" Shekki asks.
"He is fighting. If he is not, his body will not able to remain as youthful as when he died and all his organs will rot even with the mana stones. My father is still fighting in that realm." Lin smiles bitterly.
"It seems your father is very important to this Kingdom's King?" Shekki now understand what the king wants. To unable to ressurrect this person. They want to hinder Lin from supplying mana stone.
"My father is this kingdom's crown prince before he was killed by the reigning king."
Shekki gasps. Then she shakes her head. "Monarchy is really a bloody path. Good thing Senior Melvin is just a maternal relative of my country's crown prince."
Lin looks at Shekki. "My father doesn't want the throne."
Shekki looks at him.
"His eyes are set on going to the middle realm. This lower realm can't contain my father. Yet that shallow King......haha. So foolish."
Shekki didn't say anything. She pretend she didn't see him trembling as he clenched his fist.
