One month later, Cole was now in the edge of the forest. Not far from him, a human settlement appear. This is the place Bell called the city. However, it seems like the city she was referring to was actually just a village.

"It's not like I know human things right?" That was Bell answered when Cole asked him about the so called city.

No matter it was, it was stil, nonetheless, a civilization. Besides, since there was a village in sight now, city is probably not far from here. It will be no problem if he starts from here.

Cole retract all his beast and send them to the Inner World. He began to trace his steps to the Village.

The village was actually a farm village. In the center was the settlements while the outside was a farmland. They most likely creates a living in farming.

When he was walking towards the village, he saw a father and a seven year old son. The father was creating a hole while the child puts the seed inside the hole. They repeat the process again and again. They were so in gross what they were doing that they didn't know that Cole arrived near them.

The seed in the boy's hand depleted. When he was trying to fetch a seed on the pouch near his belt, the boy saw Cole in his peripheral view.

"Dad, there's a person in your back." Said the boy to his dad. The digging father turn his body to his back and saw a fifteen-year-old in his tattered clothes.

"Are you alright, boy?" The guy asked when he saw that the boy means no harm and part of it was the state the boy was. The guy arrived in front of Cole and study him.

"Yes, I'm alright." Cole answered. "I'm lost. I'm come from inside the forest and just got out now." He continue.

The guy gave Cole a scrutinizing gaze. If the boy was not lucky, he's probably strong enough to protect himself. It's not out of this world if a fifteen-year-old child was stronger than adult like him. Nonetheless, strong or not, the boy was now lost and needed help.

One of the qualities a commoner possess in this world was a strong judgment since they needed it to not to be cheated. So he knows that the boy means no harm and was just lost.

"Don't worry boy, your safe here now." The guy spoke. "My name is Richard and this child here is my only son and his name is Ricky." Richard introduced themselves.

"Hi." Ricky mutter while slightly waving at Cole.

Cole smile at the Ricky. In Earth, child this age was probably playing games on their phone while here, they were already helps to work.

"And I'm Cole. I'm fifteen years old." Cole introduced himself. "Is there an inn here or something?" Cole asked his purpose.

"We don't have an inn here." Richard answered. "But don't worry, we'll accomodate you." Richard added.

"Then, thank you very much." Cole said in gratitude.

Both Richard and Ricky was both skinny, too skinny. You can even see bones outline protruding in their skin. You can see that they dont have an easy life but still try to help him. You can really see how kind they are.

Richard take the seed pouch on Ricky's hand and said, "Come with him and send him to your mother. Say to her that he was our guest." Richard instructed.

Ricky nodded his head in understanding and arrive at the front of Cole. "Come, Brother." Ricky said then started walking.

Cole once again look at Richard and said, "Thank you very much." Cole spoke his most sincere gratitude and bow.

Richard smiled. "You're a good child but no worries." Richard said. Cole smile and started to follow Ricky.

While they were walking, the villagers look at Cole warily but said nothing. He was just a fifteen year old boy afterall.

Moments later, Cole and Ricky arrived at the front of the wooden house.

"Brother, come inside." Ricky said after opening the door and Cole get inside.

The house was small and simple but it was homey. There was small spacious area with wooden chairs while you can see the dining table near the kitchen where a woman was doing something. There were two rooms which most likely the comfort room and the bedroom. It was also very neat.

"Mom, we have guest." Ricky said to his mother.

The woman turned and face them. She checked Cole and smile seconds later.

"Welcome. I'm Margaret." The woman introduced herself.

Cole smile and answered politely, "I'm Cole. I'm fifteen years old."

"Hello, Cole. You just sit there and I'll prepare something for you." Margaret instructed while pointing at the table. After that, she comes back to the kitchen and prepare something.

Ricky sit down and Cole followed. Moments later, a bowl of porridge appear in front of both Ricky and Cole. Margaret return to kitchen and comeback with a container.

"We can have many salt, mom?" Ricky ask cutely at Margaret. It seems like the container contains salt.

Margaret smile at Ricky's innocent face and touch his head. "Of course, but not too many. You don't want your porridge tastes too salty right?" She said to her son.

Ricky nodded innocently to his mother and reach his hand with the container. He pinch inside and put the salt to his bowl. He then mixed his bowl.

Cole mimic what Ricky just do while Margaret sit down too.

It was quiet while Ricky and Cole ate and Margaret just watch them.

The porridge hardly has rice and compose mostly of water. It was not delicious but it was satisfying, and Cole was still thankful.

"Thank you." Cole spoke while Margaret smile at him.

"You're welcome." Margaret replied. "Now. Stand up and let me see your body size." She instructed. Cole stand up while Margaret gave him a scrutinizing gaze.

"I'll make you a proper clothes. Meanwhile, you and Ricky should take a bath at the lake." said Margaret after sizing Cole's body.

Ricky's bright face brighten up more when he heard that he can go a and swim to the lake. He grabbed Cole's hand and pulled him outside the house. He can't even say goodbye to Margaret, while Margaret just smile and shakes her head.

Ricky pulled Cole and minutes later, a lake appear on sight. When they arrive at the lake, Ricky quickly removed all his garments and quickly dive to the water.

Cole shake his head happily at the sight. While him, slowly undress himself and soaked quietly at the lake.

Fifteen minutes later, Cole was fully dressed again while Ricky continue to swim for another ten minutes before stopping.

"Here, Brother Cole." Ricky said then put two crabs in Cole's hand.

Cole smiled at Ricky.

"That will be our dinner for tonight, Brother Cole. I'll ask mom to make us Salted Crab." Ricky innocently said. "It's really delicious." He added with exaggerated face.

Cole can't help but stifled a laugh. He just looked extremely adorable.

Cole patted Ricky's head.

"That's great!" He exclaimed. "However, I have a better idea. We will hunt for more delicious food." He added.

"More delicious? Where?" Ricky asked excitedly.

"There." Cole answered pointing at the forest.

"In the forest?" Ricky said slightly afraid. "Father said that it was very dangerous in there. He was even almost killed by a Long Furred Rabbit in there." He added.

"Really?" He asked playing innocent.

"Yes." Ricky answered.

"But I am super strong." Cole spoke.

"Really?" Ricky asked hopefully.

"Really." Cole confirmed.

"How strong?" Ricky asked giddily.

"How strong?" Cole said acting mysterious. Ricky look at him expectingly. "Well, I can kill a Long Furred Rabbit without even moving." Cole continued boastingly.

"That strong?!" Ricky gasped.

Base on what his father's story, he tried to hunt a Long Furred Rabbit before as a dinner but got defeated by the creature and if he didn't run fast that time, he was most likely dead by now. As a good child, Ricky believed the story and since then, he doesn't even think for a second to enter the forest.

For commoners, the Dark Forest was a nightmare. Even the weakest creature there was stronger than them.

"But Father said I shouldn't enter the forest..." Ricky said dejected.

"Your father don't want you to enter because its dangerous. But I am here and I will protect you." Cole spoke.

Ricky look straight to Cole's eyes and nodded when he was finally convinced.

"Don't worry. The moment that danger appears, we will run ok?"

Ricky nod and smile at what Cole said.

Then they enter the forest. After five minutes of walking, the most dreadful and most dangerous beast appear, the Long Furred Rabbit.

The Long Furred Rabbit still looks like the way Cole remembered them, weak.

Ricky go to Cole's back for protection. Despair rose to the child's heart.

Feeling the trembling creature at his back, Cole chanted and a magic circle appear. Seconds later, Bell emerged.

Seeing a cute and adorable creature appear, Ricky's emotion stabilized and his trembling hands stopped.

"Bell, use Mental Shout. Don't kill it, just put it to comatose state." Cole given the command.

Bell moved and do a shouting posture. Both Cole and Ricky didn't hear a thing, but not the same for the Long Furred Rabbit. The creature heard a very lound sound on his head as if the whole world was shouting at him and seconds later, the Long Furred Rabbit world blackout.

The Long Furred Rabbit's body was still operating but his soul was gone. It was in comatose state. Cole commanded this as he wants to preserved the rabbit's body.

Seeing the rabbit's body suddenly plopped down, Ricky was truly amazed and all the horror disappeared.

Cole walks to the body and Ricky in tow.

When seeing the body was still not moving, Ricky finally assumed that the dreadful Long Furred Rabbit was dead. He walked to the body slowly and poke it. Seeing no reaction, Ricky was convinced that the rabbit was truly dead.

Ricky carry and hug the body and jumped excitedly while saying, "We can have meat tonight! We can have meat tonight! We can have meat tonight!"

Seeing the excited creature, Cole feel happy too.

"Allright, allright. We have meat tonight." Cole said happily. Ricky look at Cole hugging the rabbit. "Why don't we look for another?" Cole added while trying to get the body from Ricky's hand.

"Ok." Ricky answered while avoiding Cole's hand. "But I want to carry these. Is that alright?"

"If that's what you want, yes." Cole answered helplessly. Although the rabbits weight was not much, but seeing Ricky's stature, it looks heavy on him. Yet, he can't do nothing about it.

An hour later, before the sun was set, a gate appear near the lake and Cole and Ricky appear. On Ricky's hands, their first hunted Long Furred Rabbit was still in his hands. While on Cole's, two other Long Furred Rabbit is in one hand while the other hand holds his shirt containing fruits.

They were lucky, while hunting, they stumbled upon a tree full of fruits.

Now, they were trying to go back home with full hands.

Meanwhile, on the house, Margaret started to get worried while his husband console her but deep inside, he, too, was starting to feel wooried. The sun was almost set, yet, Ricky and Cole was still not home. Suspicion even rose from his heart.

However, moments later, they started to hear Ricky's excited voice, "Mother, Father, we have meat tonight! We have meat tonight!"

Margaret look at Richard puzzledly, and both of them open the door.

They can see Ricky's excited face while holding a rabbit's body, and shirtless Cole who was holding two other rabbits body in his hand while holding a filled shirt with something.

Both the mother and husband was shocked. All they know, the two child was just bathing at the lake, yet, they go home with rabbits.

"This..." Richard whisper.

"Mom, Dad, look! We can eat meat tonight." Ricky spoke excitedly. "We hunted this inside the Dark Forest. Brother Cole was very strong!" Ricky added.

Richard listen carefully at what his son was saying. After hearing what happen, he looked at Cole.

"You don't have to do this..." Richard said helplessly.

Cole smiled at Richard and spoke, "Treat this as my payment for staying here."
