Before the sun was set, Cole and Ricky was already near the exit as he already finished all his business.

After the talk at the Information Pavillion, Cole took Ricky and find the Treasure Store. It was the place the old man said where he can buy and also sell treasures and he sold all his stocks like the snake fang of Green Poison Snake and the like, but mostly only Tier 1 Beast important parts. Just like the old man said, Tier 2 Wild Beast can be considered rare in the Dark Forest. They were mostly those Beast with lucky encounters like the Mana Cherry Fruit.

The old man said that reaching Tier 2 Wild Beast stage can be considered lucky since the state of Heaven and Earth Energy in this place was so little. That was also why Mana Gathering Stage Cultivator was also rare in this place. It could be said that the Forest Edge Village was so safe here as even the City Lord of Towering Tree City was just at the peak of Body Tempering Stage.

Cole's various things was sold for a total of 30 gold coins. The Green Poison Serpent fangs and skin was the most expensive in his wares as it was from a peak Tier 2 Wild Beast, specially the snake skin.

The store manager of the Treasure Store said that the snake skin can be processed to a good armor which will make it priceless in the Towering Tree City while the snake fangs can be turn into daggers. Just both the snake skin and fangs sold for full 20 gold coins while the rest were just sold for only 10 gold coins.

Cole just nod satisfied as he can saw that the store manager was honest and didn't try to cheat him. He even trust the name in his heart.

After selling his wares, Cole and Ricky just walk through the city to pass the time and even bought some things that the both of them were interested.

So Cole and Ricky were now at the exit waiting for Richard and the village chief wearing new clothes. They even bought some for both Richard and Margaret, as well some for the villagers specially for the other kids. Winter is near and the childrens clothes was still so thin, some even have patches and holes in different places.

Minutes later, Ricky and the village chief arrived.

Cole can see that the wagons they have with them with different harvest before had now different things, mostly sacks of rice.

Cole nod in satisfaction. He can still remember that when he first arrived at Ricky's house, he was served a bowl of porridge with so little rice that he even suspected that he was just drinking some hot water with some salt.

"We can find some cheap inn and stay there for the night. Traveling is a little dangerous specially at night." Richard suggested to Cole.

Cole shakes his head and said, "Nope. We're going home tonight."

Richard just nod agreeing as well as the village chief.

They know how powerful Cole was, that Fernan, the bandit leader they were hopeless of, was even subjugated.

Cole and his party leaved the wall of the city and started travelling outside.

The guard even look at them as if they were crazy. Traveling at night when the beast was most active was just committing suicide. The guards just shake their heads in pity. They don't stop them as they saw that there were two adults with them. It's not like they don't know the dangers of traveling at night right?

After minutes of traveling and when Cole didn't saw any other person, he walks at the front of the wagons, face them and chant, "Gate!"

Both Richard and the village chief just look at him confused. Both of them didn't saw the distortion of the scenery in front of them as it was so dark, yet when they passed the gate, they were dumbfounded.

Why? They were already at the front of the village! When they travel to the city, they travelled for half a day but came back a second. This is so magical!

Still, they don't question Cole and just accept the fact. For them, Cole was just that magical.

Fernan was ready to rest when he felt a presence outside the village and he immediately go outside but suddenly stop when he saw who arrived.

"Welcome, master." He greeted to Cole. Although he now lived here, Cole was the only one he was respectful with.

"Hmm..." Cole replied. "Put the wagons in the village square and we'll just distribute them tomorrow." Cole ordered Fernan.

"Affirmative." Fernan replied.

Cole, Ricky and Richard started to walk towards their home while the village chief go to his.

When Margaret saw who was in front of the door, she was shocked. She expected their return tomorrow and not now. She even ask herself, did they fly?

"Don't ask." Richard spoke and Margaret just nodded. There were things that shouldn't be question.

"I'll cook tonight." Cole said and the three just nodded their head while Ricky smiled widely. Cole didn't cook always but he can't wait when he cook. His big brother's dish was always heavenly.

Cole started to work in the kitchen while Ricky and Richard sit while Margaret put the wares in the table.

Cole just cooked rice. While he boiled pork with many different vegetables and added salt as an entree.

Half an hour later, the dish were cooked and they started to eat.

Half an hour later, they were finished with satisfied expression in their faces.

"I'll leave tomorrow." Cole spoke out of nowhere.

Both Richard and Margaret's face expression changed while Ricky said "I'll come with you."

Cole just pat his head but didn't answer.

Both Richard and Margaret stay silent. Its not like they don't want to speak, they just can't. Although they know that this time will come but they didn't expected that this will happen so early. Eventhough they just started to lived together for only less than a year, they still treat Cole as if he was their own son.

Margaret started to clean the table without saying something while Richard just go to their room.

Cole just let them as he know what they felt. He just also go to his room with Ricky on tow.

This room was added when Cole and Richard renovated the house and when he leaved, it'll probably be Ricky's bedroom. Although Ricky was always with his side when they sleep.

Tomorrow morning, the whole village was so happy. There were many food but not only that, there were also new thick clothes! This means that the village winter this year will be easy. So easy compare to the past winter that passed.

Cole just smile when all of this transpired. Their life must be tough.

"Ok guy's, I have something to say!" Cole shouted moments later. All the villagers look at him. "I propose beast husbandry." He said.

"Husbandry?" Richard voiced out his confusion.

"Yes. Husbandry." Cole confirmed. "This are the process of raising beast for food." Cole explained. "With this you'll also have another source of income beside farming." He even added.

"But we were just mortals and not cultivators so we can't fight beast if they turn hostile." The village chief spoke. All the other villagers nod their head in agreement.

"Don't worry about that as the beast I chose was very docile and they don't inititiate attack when not threatened." Cole explained "Besides, you have Fernan here. He'll help all of you." He added.

All the villagers contemplate for a moment before they agree. Afterall, if all Cole said was true, this was good for them. Besides, it was another source of income for them.

"They can even be used as emergency ration." Cole added.

"Ok."

"Good." Cole nod. "Bring them here, Fernan."

Fernan enter the scene with different beast while the villagers look at them curiously. They were always powerless against even the weakest beast in this part of the forest, the Long Fur Rabbit.

"The one with the wings were called Curled Tail Chicken, the one that looks like a puff of cotton were called the Cotton Sheep, and the pigs were called Glutton Pig." Cole introduced the different beast. "They were all low leveled Tier 1 Wild Beast and don't attacked humans unless threatened and mistreated."

"Don't worry. I already explained all the things you need to know to Fernan. So he will the one that will guide you and explain all the things you should and shouldn't do. If you have questions, ask him." Cole spoke and pushed all responsibility to Fernan.

"Auntie, Uncle, I'd like to talk you for a minute." Cole request to Richard and Margaret and they both nodded and follow Cole to their house.

"When are you leaving?" Richard started the conversation when they enter their house.

"This lunch." He answered.

Margaret started to cry when she heard Cole. He was really leaving. Even Richard has teary eyes.

"Wh-Where?" Margaret managed to ask between her crying.

"This..." Cole tried to answered but choked with his own saliva. Even him started to get emotional. They've been together for eight months and developed some kinship with each other which make saying goodbye so hard. "There was this caravan that will go also to my destination and I'll come with them." He managed to explained.

Margaret go to Cole and hug him hard. "That's good to hear then. Since you're travelling with a caravan, you'll be safe and we'll be calm knowing you're safe." She said. "Take care of yourself." She continued.

Richard was also crying when he appear in front of Cole and also hugged him and said, "I'll have last favor to ask you Cole, can y---

"Dad, mom, brother Cole, why are you crying?" Ricky interrupted.

When Cole called Richard and Margaret, Ricky was with the other villagers kid and looked at different beast that will be reared and his favorite was the Curled Tail Chicken.

"Ricky, big brother Cole is leaving to far away place. Say goodbye to him." It was Margaret who answered Ricky's question.

Ricky just stand there for a second before going to Cole and hug him so tight that as if he wasn't letting Cole go.

"I'll come with you." Ricky said hard. "And I won't let you go if you don't let me come with you." He even added.

"Honey, brother has some things he should do. Please, let him go..."

"No! I won't!" Ricky shouted.

"You... You'll leave m-me t-too?" Margaret said with cracked voice while Ricky just sob and don't answer.

"It's okay, Margaret..." Richard tried to console her.

"No! It's not okay! It's not okay. It's not okay..."

"Listen to me, Margaret." Richard spoke while Margaret just continue to sob. "I've been thinking for whole night and I'm expecting Ricky to have this reaction." He paused. "Do you want him to live and be like us? Do you also want him to live his life dullfully like us?" He asked Margaret while she just continue to cry.

Richard shift his focus to Cole and said, "I'll have a last favor to ask you, Cole. Please take care of him." Richard requested while he arrived beside Ricky and hug him.

Cole just nod his head agreement and look at Margaret. Margaret just stand up and go to their bedroom.

"Don't mind her. She'll get over it." Richard said.

However, minutes later, she get out the bedroom with a bag.

"Richard is right. I don't want him to have dull life with us. His needed to be colorful and I'm not the one who's stopping it." She said while she hug Ricky too. "I know you'll protect him with all of you Cole. So I won't be worried." She added.

Cole just hugged them both and step back and vanish. He used his Gate and both him and Ricky disappeared from the house.
