Seeing the two fish trying to protect him, the [Saw-Teeth Lake Crocodile] felt like crying. As far as he could remember, this two creatures did nothing but to bully him. There were no scene he could remember that this two fish do something nice to him. And to think that they appear the moment his life were in danger and stand-up for him; he felt touch.

On the other hand, he was now laughing in his head evily as he knew, first hand, how strong this two dumb looking fish were. He never win against them, not even once, nor ever gain the upper hand. Should they clash to that weak looking yet powerful kid, he have faith that they'll most likely -no, they'll definitely win.

Unfortunately for the poor crocodile, the two fish doesn't think the same way as him.

They may be more stronger than the kid in terms of strength, however, they knew that they'll definitely loss. Not becuase of then kid's company but becuase of the floating dragon on the kid's head. Becuase the moment he unleashed the spirit dragon, they were already threatened. They were already pressured by their mere presence.

The other were the King of the beast, the dragon, while they were just a mere fish. And fish never had the same standing as dragons.

It was because of their species ranking.

Just like how a rabbit felt by a mere presence of a tiger, every beast would prostate by a dragon and them were no exception.

And although they both don't had a flesh and can't be pressure by their bloodline, their soul still couldn't change the fact.

Inferior species were always inferior, whether they like it or not. It was the way of nature and law of Heaven.

"If you can't spare him, then..." Female voice once again rang out after sometime.

"...we'll take his place instead." Male voiced finished.

After hearing the beast, Cole's tense body relax. However, he didn't remove the protecting bubble surrounding them.

"Why?" He asked. Afterall, he got a little confuse. It is always normal to preserve your own life before the others and yet this two beast wants to exchange their's for the Saw-Teeth Lake Crocodile.

"This part of the forest maybe called the Brown Forest now..."

"...but this is still part of the Light Mountain Forest."

"Nobody knew the reason but the forest gradually turn brown all of the sudden..."

"...however, we knew the reason why."

"It's because of our existence." They both said in unison.

Cole frown in confusion. "Your existence?" He ask.

Both the fish nodded. "Yes, because of us."

"This lake shouldn't have the ability to give birth to Water Elementals..."

"...but for some miracle, it did and that is us."

"We were born."

"And to continue to live..."

"...we have to absorb many more Water Mana..."

"...and since the lake didn't had a rich Water Mana in the first place...

"...we had to attract the surroundings'..."

"...leading the forest to get dry."

"Sooner or later..."

"...either the forest die...

"...or we do."

Cole nodded in understanding and he commends them. They were someone who were willing to sacrifice their life for other's. And this type of thinking were already rare itself.

And he likes them.

"Then we'll do as you wish. We'll spare him in exchange for your own." Cole stated after sometime.

Both the two fish look at him gratefully. "We thank you." They said in unison.

Cole nodded at them as he look at Ricky.

"Guess we'll have to look for other beast for your qualification." He said.

Ricky nodded, "Not a problem."

Cole smile as he shuffles the kids head, "You did a great job."

"Hehe.." Ricky laugh. He really likes his big brother's compliment.

Cole look at the floating crocodile. It doesn't moving as if it was already dead and if the others don't feel the presence of life at the beast, they'll probably think of it too. Fortunately, it wasn't.

It's just that even small move makes its body scream in pain. Thay was why he was trying to not made a single move.

Cole look at the pitiful [Saw-Teeth Water Crocodile] and since he already spare it life, he decided to go all out.

Of course, the others didn't know this, including the two mystical fish. They knew Cole were healing the beast, however, that was the only thing they know. They're thinking as if the process were just a normal healing.

But this was given since Time were one of the most mysterious type of energy of Heaven and Earth. Normal cultivators doesn't had a way to feel the Time Mana except for those with affinity with it.

While the beast were happy then run and hide, the others look at Cole with awe.

How many creatures died in the wild due to their untreated injuries? How much worth of gold coins a cultivator used everytime they swallow a healing pills just to treat their injuries?

Nobody knew but they do know that almost 50% of wondering creatures and adventurers died in the wild while tons of gold coins were used.

That was why a Healer were a great asset for adventuring team. And seeing how seems Cole effortlessly did it and with such high proficiency, they knew he's on the other level.

It was a Water-type Beast. Both him and Ricky were appropriate contracter for this beast. However, the number of beast Ricky could be contracted were only one and seeing the two entities, Ricky definitely can't contract this beast. And separating the two beast wasn't ideal since they were synchronized, seeing the way it communicates.

"We'll find you a different beast to be contracted next time." He spoken to Ricky.

Ricky nodded his head in approval. He wasn't hurried anyway.

"We will not kill you nor absorb your Essence." Cole said to the two Water Spirit Carp as reassurance. He don't want them to think that they would be eliminated.

The spirit visibly relax. No matter how much they will and were ready die, they were still afraid to die. Afterall, any sane creature still fear that idea, and his words truly comfort them.

"Then what is your plan for us?" Both the fish said in unison.

"I'm a beast tamer. I want you both to create a contract with me and be one of my summon beast." He answered.

"Sure." They replied. They may be not knowledgeable enough since they mostly spend their time hiding at the bottom of the lake throughout the past several years, they were, more or less, know about the beast tamers. Though that profession doesn't have a good reputation, they knew that this guy were one of a kind.

The beast that beast tamers' controls were almost look like a puppet, and so they heard. However, if this guy were one of those, then that fox in his shoulders shouldn't have that intelligent glint in his eyes.

He were different at them, they concluded.

"Good." Cole nodded his head at the [Water Spirit Carp]. If he could, he don't want to force beast to make a contract with him, specially those with high intelligence like the Elementals.

Forcing usually don't end well. That he knew. Besides, they'll be in each other's company for days to come; he don't want them to have a bad first impression of him.

He once again will and the [Summoning Grimoire] flips it pages until it stopped at the page with big letter [Soul Contract]. Cole chanted the spell and soul force leaves his body and envelope the [Water Spirit Carp].

And since Cole ask a permission just a while ago, the beast didn't resist the foreign energy. They just let it envelop them. Moments later, they felt something pierce their soul. It shakes them as the soul were the very core existence of Elementals, like brains for humans. Fortunately, the process didn't last long and they don't felt any pain either.

Seconds later, they felt a certain connection to the kid, and just like that, he look more pleasing and welcoming in their eyes.

He was shocked but he knew they weren't running away.

Moments later, they resurfaced along with a piece of round jade inside the floating water.

"Keep this..."

"...as we were having a breakthrough." They said as they bring the thing in front of Cole.

Cole nodded and plunged his hands into the ball of water. The moment he hold the piece of jade, the water dissolved.

"I'll send you both somewhere and made your breakthrough there." He said while he chanted [Retract] in his head.

The [Water Spirit Carp] vanished then he checked the piece of jade the given to him.
