Cole, along with the other who passed the disciple recruitment test, were now standing in front of the battle stages.

The third part of the test, the Combat Battle Test, was finished. There are, more or less, 300 person who passed and were now on the final step at becoming an official disciple of the Five Element Sect. They only needed the formalities.

"The Five Element Sect congratulates all of you for passing the recruitment test. You are all now an official disciple of the Sect." Master Timber, the Peak Master of Wood Peak seriously said which make the excited passers remain quiet and just smile widely. "The Sect have three different types of disciples, the Outer-Peak, Inner-Peak and Core-Peak disciple. Each of them were different with both the status in the sect as well as the resources the sect will allocate. Those who reached Mana Gathering-Stage with the bone-age of below twenty years old will become an Inner-Peak disciple while below ten years old will be a Core-Peak disciple. For Core Formation-Stage, below thirty years old for Inner-Peak and below twenty for Core-Peak disciple. Those who didn't fall in this categories will become a Outer-Peak disciples."

"As you all know, and those who didn't, the Five Element Sect were divided to five peaks, which corresponds to each element the sect had great mastery at; fire, water, earth, wood and metal. It is advisable that those with five corresponding element will join that peak but you are still welcome to join the other peak. For those who are not on the five main element, don't worry, the sect still welcome you."

"Every peak had their own sub-mastery element. For instance, the Fire Peak were also a master of wind arts."

"The Sect will give you a maximum of one week to register yourself to one of the peak, until then, all of you are peakless disciples."

"Now, to commemorate this wonderful event, the Peak Masters will step out and call those outstanding youths who perform wonderfully today. And since I'm already in your front, then I will start."

Master Timber instantly look at Cole, "Young man, I'm afraid that the Sect almost had none collection of beast taming art. Normally, beast tamers go to the Beast Tamer Sect as it was their field of mastery. Although we can't guide you in your way, the sects' everything, resources and all, are still available for you."

"I sincerely offer my outmost gratitude for your kind consideration." Cole answered humbly.

The old man nod at him. He then shift his attention to a particular serious-faced lady.

"Young lady, I saw a great promise with your talent. I like to accept you as my disciple," he paused. "Do you want to worship me as your master?"

What....?

The lady Master Timber asked to be his disciple have her mind in a great turmoil. She was shocked! As far as she knew, she was also just a hopeful youth who tested her luck to pass and enter the Five Element Sect. She was so happy, after all, she did pass a test and were now a certified Outer-Peak disciple. And eventhough she did pass the test, she didn't expect anything more.

The results of both of her battle were bad, in fact, she struggled to win her battle. If she didn't knew any better, she look quite pathetic, if she say so for herself. This greatly baffled her, which was why she didn't immediately answer Master Timber.

Her elemental affinity was Wood Energy and she cultivates the way of the sword. It was hard and she already encounter a lot of issues, afterall, a Wood and Sword was not really a good match. It was incompatible.

Wood Energy excell with recovery and healing techniques, as well as poison techniques while Sword were compatible with Metal Energy.

But although it was incompatible, she knew and she felt that a Wood Swordsman exist, though rare. That was why her goal was to find a Wood cultivator who cultivated the way of the sword and accept her as a disciple but because of her origin, a commoner, it was proved to be really hard. She lacks everything, be her network or financial capacity.

This was why she wanted to enter the Five Element Sect, to create a social status and amass money.

As for the other passers, they were shocked too, but after sometime and they eventually recovered, they immediately look at her enviously. A disciple of a great position such as Peak Master were no different to like ascending the heaven with one step!

If there are some who look at her full of jealousy becuase of her great fortune and luck, there were also some who look at her with hatred. If not because of their fear for the consequences, they wanted to ask Master Timber of his reason. They were more great than her, more powerful, but why he didn't choose them?

If the kid with the Martial Spirit will be ask by the Master of the Water Peak, they won't question it 'cause no matter where this type of person went, they'll be treated like a gem.

But her? Unacceptable!

Although Master Timber had an idea what's the other new disciples were thinking base on their visible face expression, he didn't bother to explain. They could thought anything they want, he won't even care.

After some thought, her mind clarify. She immediately run to the front of her new master and immediately get on her two feets and full of solemnity said, "Laura worship Master Timber as my Master." She then kowtow until her forehead touch her hands that were on the ground.

A smile of satisfaction appeared at Master Timber's old face. "Stand-up." He said and a sword made of woods appear on his hand, almost the same at what Laura was currently using. "This is a sword that is carved from the tree called Steel Tree. Consider this as my first gift to you as disciple."

Laura received the sword with trembling hands. Because of her origin, she lacks the ability to buy a good sword. Even a cheapest Mortal-Rank sword worths thousands of silver which she can't afford.

It was a little embarrassing but her weapon was just carved from a Mortal-Rank Tree and the reason it didn't break was because she constantly pour a lot of energy to the sword. Her energy protected the sword from breaking as well as increasing her attack damage. However, this put a great toll to her, making her struggle in her battles.

But with this sword, she knew that those days were now over. Steel Tree was a rare type of wood. Just like it's name suggested, Steel Tree was a tree but it had the sturdiness like of steels which was why it was one of the ideal source for making a sword for Wood-Swordsman.

"Laura thanks master."

Master Timber nodded. "Elder Three, guide her to the sect." He instructed.

Elder Three bowed, "Yes, Peak Master."

"We congratulates Master Timber for finding such good disciple." The other Peak Masters said simultaneously.

Master Timber nodded while he returned to Peak Masters seat.

Master Dew instantly stand-up from his seat the moment Master Timber seated. He was agitated as he really wanted to 'secure' the kid with the Martial Spirit as soon as possible. Although there was almost no chance of losing the kid, he just wanted to make sure.

"What about it kid? Do you want to worship me as your master?" Master Dew asked with dignified voice after he arrived at the Ricky's front.

He thought that since the kid wanted to enter the sect, he should have an idea of who he was. With his prestigious status, personally asking the kid was a great way of boosting his status and a great way of giving him face. It also show how he truly value Ricky.

"Uhm... You see... I don't really need a Master..." Ricky replied with a shy, almost whispered.

However, eventhough it was conveyed almost quietly, those who managed to hear felt that they were struck by lightning. There are even some girls, who are near at Ricky and clearly heard what he said, lost their consciousness instantly.

This is practically denying the grace of Heavens!

Those who look at Ricky enviously before now had their eye's bloodshot. If they could just strangle that bastard, they'll definitely do it without second thought. Unfortunately, they can't with Master Dew who looked adamant in accepting the kid as his disciple. Should they do it, they'll definitely kiss their life goodbye.

Master Dew's right eyebrow couldn't help but twitched. With all of his years as a Master of Water Peak, there is no one who deny him. There's only who beg just to accept them as his disciple.

Yet, no matter how frustrated he was, he can't lash out. If this was just any other day or just any other person, he'll make him cry to his death.

But he can't give-up this talented disciple! What benefits a Peak Master like him can't provide?

Yes! He'll just persuade him with benefits!

"You don't need a master? But I'm sure that you needs countless resources." He paused. "How about this? Accept me as your master and I'll make all the pills of Water Peak available to you!"

After Master Dew said this, he can't help but clench his teeth. He sounded desperate! He never thought that this day will come given his position!

If he could just force this kid... Yeah. Just be ready to kiss his reputation goodbye...

But this time, he's confident that the kid will now accept him as his master, afterall, pills were essential to cultivators. It wasn't even a exaggeration that cultivators could live without eating food but they can't without pills.

However, what the kid said next gave him the shock of his life;

"Brother, what is pills?" Ricky ask Cole with his kid-like, innocent voice.

That question often recieved a fit of laughter if perceived as joke while glares if lie but the way the kid ask it, being clueless to what pills are, it was very convincing; either he's telling the truth or he's a skilled liar.

There's a high chance it was a lie, afterall, there was practically no one will reached a Seventh-Level of Mana Gathering-Stage with the bone-age of nine without the assistance of pills. It was unheard of! In this part of the area, at least.

On the other hand, if the kid was truly clueless about pills and never intake, or even seen, one while he reached his current strength... His talent is definitely monstrous level! Ahh!

Meanwhile, Master Dew almost have heart attack, eventhough he doesn't had one in the first place.

His cultivation was peak Nascent Soul-Stage. He could easily tell if the person were lying if their cultivation was below him. Due to this, he believed that the kid wasn't lying!

Goodness! How great and significant was this? Reaching his current level without the aid of pills but with only his talents...

Is he my long-lost son? Master Dew look at Ricky as if he was his own son eventhough he don't have one yet.

Cole scratch his cheeks. He don't know how to answer Ricky's question since he have limited knowledge about pills in the meantime. But he wasn't totally clueless.

"Pills are those round-thing and it contains great medicinal effect. It was made from rare herbs and it was a great aid to one's cultivation." Cole answered with all that he have. "You already saw one of those thing. Brother Nick always swallow one when he cultivates. Remember?"

Ricky's face cleared, "Those are pills?"

"Yes," Cole ruffles Ricky's head. "And eventhough we don't really need them, having a master will benefit you in many ways, specially someone as Master Dew. You should accept him as your master."
