Knowing that it can't snuff out the tyrannical purple flame, the Evil Forest Dryad think of another approach. While it was trying to defend and thinking of solution at the same time, the evil spirit's sight fall on the duo who was the reason of its suffering, and it thought that it will probably stop if she kill the caster instead!

"Skree!!!" The suffering evil spirit shrieks in both pain and frustration. In pain since she wanted to attack the caster, splitting her focus which lowers the mental defense she created, making the purple fire burn her soul more directly. And in frustration as no matter what it did, it can't kill the fire that torments it. Just what kind of fire is this?

Evil Forest Dryad stretch her hand that was clutching her head and thirty rattan vines full of horrible thorns rose from the ground. Without delaying any more second, the thirty thorny rattans whip at Cole like an alive snake.

Thack! Thack!

"Skree!!!" The Evil Forest Dryad screeched in frustration when it skill was once again block by that invisible bubble. But instead of giving up, it change its attack pattern and enclose its opponent with all of the thorny rattans and constrict it. It wanted to squeeze Cole and Celia into meat paste!

Krrkk—Krrkk—

A teeth grinding, very unpleasant noise rang out when the thorny rattan tried to constrict and destroy that annoying protecting bubble. But no matter how hard and how long it try, it was still pointless as that defensive technique won't break.

"Skree!!!"

Seeing that her action was pointless, the Evil Forest Dryad screeched. And maybe due to her still increasing frustration, her soul defense gets weaker and weaker which results to more soul damage from the annoying and tyrannical purple fire. It thought of other way and it added a dark-evil energy in her attacks. Its dark-evil energy had a very powerful corrosive and penetrating property.

A menacing dark energy was added to the dried thorny rattan vines. It glowed with a dark aura and return on constricting the defensive bubble of her annoying opponent.

"Skree!!!"

Cole watched the horrible thorny rattan vines nervously while it were trying to constrict them into death. Fortunately, even with the addition of dark-evil energy, the frail looking defensive bubble didn't get destroyed. It ease his nervous heart a little but he can't cast away the fear he was currently feeling and it won't go away as long as those thorny rattan vines that seems like a chainsaw were still there, looming above their head.

"It is truly a big luck that that corrupted dryad don't have yet the ability the move or else we are doom." Celia said out of a sudden.

"Yes, I can see that. But... Why it can't move?"

"Just like any other part of Spirit Race, Forest Dryads shouldn't have any physical body, specially for them who was part of the Guardian Spirits Clan. Now, eventhough it had the physical body but since it was acquired through evil way, it had its own detrimental consequences and one of it is unability to move. That Evil Forest Dryad was no different from unsentient tree when it comes with mobility." Celia answered.

Then she added, "Forest Dryads was born as the guardian of forest. They were the entities that their sole reason to exist is to make sure that the forest the were born into won't be destroyed by anyone or anything. They were born to protect. In addition, their life was connected to the place they should protect. In case of this particular Forest Dryad, it will die the moment the Flowerhead Forest was destroyed."

"You mean that Evil Forest Dryad is unkillable unless we destroy the whole Flowerhead Forest?"

Celia shake her head, "No. In fact, we don't have to kill her." She paused, "Forest Dryads was not evil in nature. On the contrary, they were a pure, good nature Spirit. That is also the reason why they have the innate ability to command the beast in its domain without using paratism. Only, the moment it was corrupted, it learn the way of paratism."

Cole nodded and said, "Then we just have to find who or which cause the corruption and all of this will probably stop. Perhaps we can also help this poor, unsuspected forest spirit and remove its current corruption."

Celia smile, "We can do that. But first, we have to find where is thing that causes this corruption, and there is a fastest way to do it..." She said and a [Parasitic Worm Mist] was summoned on her palm. It then shot out like a bullet when the thorny rattan vines created a gap and aim at the Evil Forest Dryad's head.

"Skree!!!"

The Evil Forest Dryad didn't know what's the small, purple worm but so far, just one technique of that small human child brought it inconceivable pain. So instinct told it that that small worm mist must be something powerful too, thus, it screeched and once again focus fully on creating defense on its soul, which, thankfully for Cole and Celia, stop its technique in the meantime.

However, the moment the Evil Forest Dryad are raising its soul defense, it appears that its soul energy was not enough... Its soul energy only have 30% remaining... Goodness! It was so focused on attacking that her soul energy was almost drain! The moment her soul energy run out and lose her ability to create soul defense... that is also the moment her soul will be burn and die...

"Skree!!!"

The Evil Forest Dryad immediately screeched while facing the sky and use one of the basic skills of parasites, [Soul Leech]! This was the ability of the main body of the parasite to absorb soul energy from its victims.

An abundant amount of soul energy was poured to the Evil Forest Dryad soul which makes the evil creature soul full in less than five seconds.

However, in different part of Flowerhead Forest, beast with flower in their head suddenly fall on the ground. Their soul energy was drain which prompts them to sleep to recover their drained soul energy. As for its detrimental effects... Well, they have to make sure they live first since they were currently defenseless sleeping in the wild before they thought about it.

On the other hand, eventhough it recovered its soul energy quite fast, it was still seconds too late on creating a solid soul defense.

"Skree!!!"

The Evil Forest Dryad screeched loudly when it felt a foreign entity, but seems very familiar to it, that was latching on its soul...

"Skree!!!"

The Evil Forest Dryad screeched in indignation as it dawns to it that she seems to fall and become a victim of the same technique, a parasite!

She actually become a victim of another parasite! The irony...

"Skree!!! Skree!!! Skree!!!"

The parasitic worm mist further stabilize itself and latch more solidly on its soul which makes Evil Forest Dryad screeched continuously.

"That Evil Forest Dryad might have the idea where the thing that corrupts it as long as it remains inside the forest. We only have to look at its own memories and it will greatly lessen our work." Celia stated while watching the writhing strange tree.

Cole just nodded and remain looking at the Evil Forest Dryad differently.

Seconds later, the [Parasitic Worm Mist] finally stabilize and successfully attcahed itself into the Evil Forest Dryad's soul.

This time, all of the attack and damage the Evil Forest Dryad use to stop the parasitic medium was all received by its own soul! Which means the time it successfully kill the parasitic medium will also be the time it kill itself! Perhaps she was the one who will be killed first before the parasitic medium!

Moments later, when Celia felt the full control on the Evil Forest Dryad's soul, she use the parasite and command for it to stop and behave which it fully obeyed. Eventhough it don't want to be someone's slave, it don't want more to be killed.

After the Evil Forest Dryad behave itself, Celia chanted another skill, [Soul Search]! All of the memories and experience was then reflected to Celia's soul. She scanned all of it for a whole minute before she identified what she wanted to find. After she open her eyes again, she then transfer a copy of those memories into her Master.

Cole also close his eyes the moment he received all of the Evil Forest Dryad's memories. He was amazed by the ability of the Dryad to feel and see the whole Flowerhead Forest with just a thought. He could even see how each of the roots of all the trees of Flowerhead Forest was connected to one another like a one big network and the biggest tree at the center of the forest as the center where Cole and Celia were currently at. And just like that, he received the very accurate map of the whole Flowerhead Forest.

Unfortunately, they didn't find the specific thing that cause the evil corruption to the Forest Dryad, however, they do find a very strange place where even the guardian of the forest failed to peer into. And it was at the very bottom of this tree. Base on the memory of Evil Forest Dryad, there seems a big, pitch black hole underground. And both him and Celia was convinced that it was most likely the place with something evil that causes the corruption.

Maybe the desolate situation was not cause by Evil Forest Dryad but instead cause by the leaking evil energy from that black hole. It may have also corrupted this piece of land and it's spreading minute by minute.

Then they must resolve this sooner or else! Even a good Guardian Spirit' Forest Dryad was corrupted to evil, what more for the others? One should know that Spirit Race have more particular powerfula soul compare to others and much more hard to corrupt into evil path. What more for those Wild Beast who only know to follow their instinct and much more easier to corrupt? What if the all Wild Beast in the Flowerhead Forest get corrupted and cause havoc? Eventhough they were just a Wild-Rank Beast but with their numbers, they could create quite a big trouble. An army of an ant could still topple an elephant.

"You don't have to feel agitated Master. Although that thing that could corrupt someone into evil path was very powerful, I could tell that it was not done deliberately. In fact, I think that black hole was an independent space which seal something malicious and the corruption was most likely cause by the leak of the energy. It won't be anytime soon that it will burst."

She float and patted Cole's shoulder and smile sweetly, "Ease your self. In fact, we have something more urgent to do than to think how to solve problems that we shouldn't think about and probably very high difficulty with our current level..."

Cole chuckle a little when he perceived that Celia was a little indignant with their dangerous encounter with Evil Forest Dryad, "Allright, I believe in you. So, what is the more urgent matter that is more important than helping the world to avoid disaster?"

Celia rolled her eyes first but replaced immediately with a greedy look, "Of course, treasure hunting!"

"W-What?" Cole stuttered in shock. He was expecting something much more important but treasure hunting was the last thing he was expecting.

This... Was the greedy nature of the Dragons was awakening in Celia now?

"'What' what? Don't tell me that it doesn't occur to you that once the 'flower in the head' curse of this first is gone, the human cultivators will probably flock to plunder the natural resources here en masse?"

Cole immediately frown at Celia's word which truly make sense. Once the natural barrier of this forest was gone, cultivators will most likely plunder the natural resources clean. And with all their effort and hard work, it was only natural that they will treasure hunt before the others.

A look of greed also flash in Cole's eyes. One should know that he was different from other cultivators as he was a beast tamer and have quite a number of beast in his arsenal, and all of their growth also need resources. His needs of natural resources was much more greater than other.

"You're right Celia. We have something more urgent to do." He said smiling and summon the [Summoning Grimoire] and use [Gate].

Celia hop excitedly into the portal.

And so, for the next few days, the Flowerhead Forest which was quite rich to Tier-3 and rare Tier-4 resources, was almost plundered clean.

By the time those other cultivators hunt for the forest natural resources, they will be greatly dissapointed. What they didn't know that there was two people who have sharp eyes and sharp nose that plunder before them.
