移除书签Bell's face was full of anger but that wasn't Cole perceived. For a small human-like creature that has its face puff of anger, she look extremely adorable.
"I'm sorry... I didn't know that that tree was your home." Cole spoke after sometime. He even have a apologetic face which he really was. If he know that the tree was her home he won't even bother to think to tame it.
If your properties inside your house has been snatched, you will feel angry. What more if your whole house was snatched right?
When Bell saw that Cole was regretful and feel that he was honest, Bell's anger started to lessen.
Elemental creatures don't have a flesh body, they even don't have a brain. Their body compose only of energy, of mana. They don't even feel pain. Even if their body was shred to pieces, they won't die. Unless their core of existence wasn't damage they won't die. They can even live for thousands, million of years building their strength along the way unlike humans that has limited life-span. That is why humans strive for higher stages, for power but most of all, to lengthen their life-span.
The higher they achieve the stronger their pulse to live. They have different reasons - to protect and guide their clan rise in power and many more, but most of all, the feeling of superiority.
Elementals' core of living is their soul. That is why they are very sensitive if the person is saying the truth or not.
"That tree already gained a sentient and its already a Level 5 Mortal-rank Wild Beast." Cole spoke after seeing the fairy was still scrutinizing him.
The doubt on the face of the Fairy vanish and nod on her own. "That must be the reason why I feel a life in that tree. It has already evolve and became a Tier 1 Wild Beast." Bell spoke to herself as if understanding something.
I guess she doesn't know that she most likely the cause why it evolve and became a beast. She's doesn't aware of her abilities I guess. Cole spoke to his head seeing the puzzled fairy.
The fairy jolted and look focus on Cole.
"Why do you know that it already evolve and became a beast? Even I can't tell this." Bell question Cole.
"I'm a beast tamer myself. So I know to judge if that creature or thing is a beast or not." answered Cole. Despair appear to Bell's face second after the word registered to her.
"Yo- yo- yor, YOU'RE A BEAST TAMER?!" Bell exclaimed feeling extremely horrified. She even step back a little and create a safe distance between her and Cole.
Cole feels extremely confuse. She was fine a fine a moment ago then feel horrified when she hear that he was a beast tamer.
"Is there something wrong?" Cole question Bell. Is there something wrong being a beast tamer?
Bell's feeling subsided a little after hearing Cole's question.
"You're not one of them?" Bell asked.
"One with what?" answered Cole feeling puzzled.
It seems like she was afraid of beast tamers or something.
Seeing Cole's reaction relieved Bell's worry. She could see that Cole's reaction was genuine and true. Perhaps not even confirming but she already know the answer to her worries.
"The Beast Tamer Sect." Bell spoke hatefuly a while later.
"The Beast Tamer Sect? What's that?" Cole ask clueless. He don't know this group Beast Tamer Sect or something. Eventhough he knows that he most likely transferred to another world - which he doesn't confirm yet - but seeing Bell's hateful reaction points that this group is most likely after no good.
"Before I answer your question... Can you show me one of your beast beside that little turtle on your head? I'll just confirm something." Cole nod his head to Bell and smile then chant,
"Summon, Fire Lizard!" A magic circle appear then the beast Fire Lizard comes out instantly.
"A Summoning Circle?" Bell spoke to herself. Shock appear in her face, then after seeing the Fire Lizard and confirm that there is no irregularities, glee soon replace on her face.
"Beast Taming Sect was a hateful group for us beast, elementals and alike. They use a cruel method just to slave and control us." Bell explain while wearing a faint expression. "There practice shouldn't even call beast taming, it's more like beast controlling. Our will doesn't even matter to them. They treated us a war machine rather than beast with life and emotions." She continue.
"I don't have experience with Beast Taming School so I can't relate with you. But seeing your reaction today they seem to be a hateful organization." Cole said. Cole smile to Bell before petting the head of Fire Lizard. The Fire Lizard seems to like the act since it close it eyes and savor the feeling.
Bell smiled with seeing the interaction. It was greatly different compare to what she knows about certain organization.
"Can you let me see my tree?" Bell ask a minute later.
Cole smile to her then answer, "Sure." Cole think of the Inner World before chanting, "Gate!" Scenery in front started to distort before a circle portal appear. The other side of the portal can't be seen as it was covered with fog.
This is the first time Bell witness this scene. She felt amaze and scared. It was always scary and exciting the unknown. Besides, eventhough she trust Cole, it doesn't come to the point that she will entrust her life to her. They were strangers to each other hours ago!
"What is this?" Bell ask warily.
Cole smile to her reassuringly. He understand her. "This is my space-type spell, Gate. It warps space and two connect different places. It will send us to the place where my beast rest." Cole explained to Bell. Bell nods her head in understanding but her face was still look puzzled.
"Why do we need to go there? Can you just summon it here?" Belle spoke what's in her mind.
Cole facepalm himself. "Why I didn't think of that?" He question his own. Bell laughed seeing his reaction.
The Gate distort for a second before it was gone. Then Cole once again chant, "Summon, Treant!"
Warning! User's Cultivation Stage is limited to two summon at the same time. Summon failed!
The summoning circle appear for a second before breaking and disappearing.
Cole read the sudden notification while Bell is confuse.
"What happen?" Bell ask.
"My cultivation stage was low. I'm only limited to summoning two beast at the same time." Cole answered.
"I see... But you seemed to don't know that..?" Bell ask doubtingly.
"Ehehehe..." Cole slightly blush and scratch the back of his head. "Yeah... I only learn this now." Cole answered almost whispered.
"..." You only learn that now? Bell question in her head.
Cole send back the Fire Lizard to Inner World then he summon Treant after.
The towering tree Treant doesn't appear but a sinister-looking three meter tall humanoid tree appear. Bell's face was full of question while Cole was shocked.
He didn't know what happen either!
When he sent the Treant to the Inner World, it still looks like a ordinary looking tree. He got a hollow space in the middle of the tree's main trunk while he got a thick foilage above and two thick branch on the same side. But now? It transformed!
The Treant now looks like a dead tree. Infact, it looks like the humanoid tree in the movie he watch on earth. But instead of green-brown wood-like color, its now color black instead with a touch of red blood color. It even wear an armor made of wood.
Species Name : Armored Demon Treant Beast Name :
After reading the newly rank upped Armored Demon Treant, Cole still feel shocked. There's many question in his mind like how it level and rank up, how its potential increase and many more. He want answer but he can't since there is an outsider. Although the fairy doesn't look like a bad person, still, its better be safe than sorry.
"Is this my tree?" Bell ask a while later. If Cole was shocked then she is completely horrified. It was a beautiful, full of life, towering tree a minutes ago but when she saw it again it became a black, dead like demonic tree.
"Uhm, yeah." Cole answered a seconds later. Even him was clueless what happen to the Treant inside his Inner World. "I think it absorbs my Blood Essence Orb from my place and rank up." Cole continue after contemplating for a minute. This is the best answer he can come up with for the moment.
"Is that so? Where is your place?" Bell can't help but ask.
Ranking and leveling up of wild beast is a hard process. They can even die of old age without ranking up if they don't have their own fateful encounter. Good thing is they have a long life-span. If they were like humans who has limited and short life-span, she don't know what will happen to them. Even more so for tree-type wild beast. Unlike beast-type and other type, tree-type can't eat meat and magic fruits except for those special cases. They even don't like to travel and just take a place and take roots. They'll just depend on nutrients they can absorb on earth and the mana in the surrounding air.
So she can't let go of her shocked - afraid even - feeling when she think how fast her tree level up. She even look at Cole doubtingly. Who is this guy? He looks more mysterious now in Bell's eyes.
"My place is to the other side of the gate." Cole answered to Bell.
Curiosity wells up in Bell's heart so she can't help but ask, "Can I go in there?" She even forgot the dangers. She just wants answers to her questions and curiosity.
"If that's what you want." Cole agreed to Bell's request.
Scenery started to distort and the gate appear once again. Cole will the Armored Demon Treant to walk inside the gate and it will. Cole also followed inside. Bell hesitated for a second before she follow inside.
Bell check the surrounding after she enter the Inner World. It's just a small independent space but the good thing is the place was full of different mana and the wood energy is the most plentiful. Maybe becuase it's full of different plants and herbs.
There were different kind of plants Cole put inside the Inner World. It was the plants and herbs Cole encounter this past few days. Cole plants them inside the Inner World to make the place more livelier. It was just a plain land before.
Although the space was small now, the place has now an ambience of life. It was not as barren as before.
Bell's eyes were focused on tall, ordinary looking tree in the middle of space. Eventhough its look like an ordinary tree, in Bell's eye, there were more on it. She feels a strong life force in the tree and different kind of energy she wasn't aware of. She feels like she wants prostate in the front of the tree. She doesn't know why, with all of her reason, but her entity feels like it was a deity.
She now know why her tree suddenly rank up with no reason. It seems that this tree is the reason. She knows that if not for a reason her tree can even rank up higher than it was now. And it looks like the boy was the very reason.
She feels the presence of the strong life force on the tree but she also feels the presence of the boy in the tree. This tree was connected to the boy and the boy was connected to the tree, she concluded.
Different creatures has their own fateful encounter and it seems like this boy was her fateful encounter. She knows that if she doesn't seized this moment, it will be her's life greatest regret.
